Coasters in North Hertfordshire

Met a couple of friends for a yummy breakfast here. Staff were friendly and food was delicious. Nice and clean too.

The best Nonpareil cafe there is Proper bubble and squeak Sausages that taste of pork Spotless and friendly service Its out of the way for me, but I try to make the effort to go it’s that good Been using it sporadically for 10 years Top marks

Always love having a Breakfast at this place when I travel to see family. I have eaten at alot of places. But this has always been my Favourite.

Absolute gem of a cafe, excellent food and service would highly recommend.

The size of the meals are huge..my friend and I decided that next time we visit.. we'll share one...so that there's no wastage ...we had 2 main orders and both left half of it 🤦

Always busy, a testament to the quality of the food and friendly staff.

Rapidly going downhill, not sure if there has been a change in the kitchen or the suppliers. Noticed a decline in quality over the last two months. Always really good service and generally a nice place to eat, I hope they go back to the very high standards they had regarding the food.

Breakfast of champions - and then some! Popped out this morning without having had time for breakfast, so stumbling across this lovely cafe in Knebworth just before noon was an unexpected treat. Breakfasts are served all day and seemed a hit with the locals too. Huge menu with lots of choice. Toasties, panninis, club sandwiches, jacket spuds and hot main meals were also available. Had a huge plateful of breakfast, two rounds of toast with plenty of butter and a huge mug of tea for £11 - this has to be the bargain of the century, too. Absolute bliss! Quick service with a smile :)

Honestly the best cafe. Incredible selection and everything is absolutely top notch. Can get busy at lunch time because everyone knows what a gem this cafe is, its always worth a short wait for a table at the busiest times though. P.s. if you can eat a whole Stormer without breaking a sweat, your a better man than me. Breakfast fit for a king.

Lovely brunch breakfast after running to the Stevenage parkrun. Highly recommend the Special fried breakfast with butchers saugage. Good sized portions and very tasty. All washed down by some lovely coffee. Great service and not surprisingly very busy on a wet Saturday.

We have never been disappointed when we have visited the cafe. Food is always beautiful, fast and delicious. the staff are all extremely busy whenever we have been there however always have a smile on their face and always happy to help. I cannot recommend them enough, best cafe (in my opinion) in Hertfordshire

Been here twice recently for breakfast and it's the best, if you can manage it all you won't need much more during the day and great value for money, staff very good as well.

We had excellent cooked breakfasts, thank you. Pleased that Gluten-free toast was available on request, even though I didn't see it mentioned on the menu.

Waitress was rude and obnoxious really unsettling for my anxiety and when I asked for the vegan option she just snarled at me and said “we’re a cafe love not the savoy” then I ended up paying over £12 for a mediocre a breakfast and that didn’t even include my drink, too top things of the chef had a fishy smell about him, reminded of my late cats food, wouldn’t recommend this cafe, but hopefully they may see this review and change things up, I don’t no like commenting like this but I feel something had to be said

The food was delicious, reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and care. There were plenty of staff and although it was busy on a Saturday, there was hardly any waiting because of the efficiency of the staff. Well done and thank you.

Went to coasters for breakfast for the first time and definitely won’t be going back, my poached egg wasn’t cooked properly which put me off the rest of the breakfast they did offer to make a new one but I just wasn’t feeling it anymore, I then got to the till to pay and I had still been charged for my meal that wasn’t cooked properly, very poor communication from the management

Wow! This was the best cafe breakfast I've ever had 😃. Great quality of food (highly recommend the butcher's sausages), and was cooked perfectly with lovely crispy yet still very meaty bacon. Nice bread and good quality orange juice which doesn't taste like the typical concentrate watery stuff you would normally get. Very good service as well, can't complain 👍👍

Great Food delivery to your table in a timely manner by beautiful ladies. The menu choice is amazing. The prices are in accordance with the service and food quality. Go cheap and expect the worst ! Very impressed after trying many cafes in the Stevenage Borough. Rated 9.8 out 10

Great experience, big portions and a real good service.

We found Coasters on Trip Advisor and decided to try it. We weren't disappointed. The service was excellent and friendly. Plenty of choices on my special. My wife's mushrooms looked amazing and I was jealous of my brother in laws breakfast baguette. Great place hope we can re-visit soon

Considering I travel a lot and having experienced similar facilities across UK, this is by far my absolute favourite. Food is always freshly prepared, generous portions and cooked to perfection. Staff is always smiling and helpful. Simply could not ask for better place to have your breakfast or lunch. BTW, we often go there with my whole family, and this view is shared by all of them, not just me.

Great food and friendly service

You can’t go wrong with the breakfast at coasters. Excellent quick service, good value for money and well cooked food. £9.50 for a full English with two slices of toast is very reasonable in the current climate. My daughter recommends the milkshakes too.

Best Breakfast for miles! The fry ups are excellent, eggs Royal is amazing, pancakes awesome. Friendly staff, always able to park nearby.

Amazing! Well cooked, well presented and great value! I am writing this whilst I struggle to finish and have already recommended it to my Daughter! Also big shout out to their staff - polite, knowledgeable and a well oiled team, even though the end of the day all working together.

Nice place to eat first time trying it out. The food was really nice and the Salad was fresh also. The staff was also really friendly it's a place I would definitely try out again so I definitely would recommend it to someone who wants to eat breakfast.

Outstanding place to eat. Passed this on our way to somewhere having never been before and will now purposely go out our way to visit here again. Staff were extremely happy and helpful, food was fantastic and the place was spotless as well as faultless.

We have been going to Coasters for well over a year...Friday Breakfast Meeting. The food has been outstanding every time and the service is first class as well. Had a few things from the menu, recently moved to Eggs Royale...Wow!!! Ah wee Gem!

Had a bacon cheese burger and it was awfull just realy fatty beef mince slapped together and so full of grease the bottom bun was swimming in it. Texture wasnt nice either. Maybe season the meat and use a better quality mince

Luv this clean and friendly lil gastro-cafe...I've been going there for years and though the prices have increased the quality and quantity have stayed great, so for an occasional brunch treat it really hits the spot. Parking nearby is easy too, unless it's a particularly busy time of day. They have an extensive menu and I've liked everything I've ever tried...it cost about £40 for three of us, but we did all choose their most expensive dishes and drinks and I had two of their really good coffees The only reason I didn't give fives stars is because they can't make hollandaise sauce to save their lives (has been the same tasteless white yuk for years) so we'll be avoiding that in future, but apart from that small fail, everything else was delish and we all cleaned our plates. Go...I'm sure you'll luvit.

I’m a regular at coasters because the staff are always friendly and warm and the food is consistently excellent. By far the best cafe we’ve been to in the local area (or anywhere!)

Hair in my food on 3 different occasions, I've told them about it and it keeps happening. Hair nets isn't a big deal. Been going for years and the food is normally good

First visit. Busy, staff brilliant, waited 5 mins for table. Not hurried to order, even though there was a queue outside. Food hot, big portion, impressed. Will be back.

We visited coasters before a funeral service at the nearby crematorium. Absolutely fantastic food and wonderful service. Highly recommended!

Out on my bike ride, normally stop in Datchworth for a coffee and and bacon roll only to discover it was shut...so back tracked to Coasters...really good, had a French stick bacon roll with flat white coffee, highly recommend. Nice friendly staff, place its self is clean and fresh.

I have never know such a perfect place but hey don't just take my word for it try for yourself. Everything from the all day breakfasts to brunches of all description you wont be disappointed.

Went here for lunch 1 day and was pleasantly surprised. I had a fry up and the food was lovely and at a reasonable price. It was fairly busy, but the food was served quickly and staff was pleasant. Highly recomended

Been to coasters many times never once had a bad meal. Such a huge selection. Always cooked so fresh food is delicious and staff are so friendly. Never been to a nicer cafe.

Had lunch with a friend, was extremely impressed. Lovely fresh home cooked food, something for everyone. Portions are very generous, I ordered breaded Brie. I had 3 fresh baked portions, salad, coleslaw and toast. I knew I couldn’t eat it so asked to take some home which was no trouble. Lovely friendly service. Only thing I would change is some dishes option of a small plate. Will ask next time I go back. Highly recommend.

Not knowing the area we stumbled across Coasts and fell on our feet. We only wanted a drink and perhaps a cake, which were serviced quickly and was delicious, but I must say the full breakfast looked fantastic. It was impeccably clean and fresh and completely followed Covid regulations. We are not from the area but will remember it if ever we find ourselves in Knebworth again. The only slight criticism was the music, which we found a little loud.

Airy, clean, efficient and a good place to meet up before heading on to services at nearby Harwood Park crem, in my experience - unless it's a Monday,when the doors remain closed. There's a giant gatefold of a menu and portions are definitely on the generous side - we scaled down on the 'chips on the side' from two offered portions to one and there were still plenty to spare, and the green garnishes were also bumper offerings. With so much food on the plate the prices are a little higher in many areas than you'd expect to pay in a cafe. Service is smart, there are lots of smiles and there's plenty of room - it will be interesting to see how the menu adapts to the needs of the influx of oldies moving into the retirement apartments that are spreading in the village centre, as I'm of an age where silver service lunches are starting to look very attractive but I just don't want plates that big in the middle of the day.

Very nice place in heart of Knebworth. Very busy so must be good. The food is good that's why the people stay a while. Nice menu. Bit more workers cafe than cafe but I've always been served in good time, always fresh and hot to the plate and it's been done with a smile by the beautiful and friendly staff.

Very nice independent cafe with friendly staff and an amazing choice of food. Portion sizes were a bit bigger than expected so very good value for money; quality of food was spot on and hot drink really good too. Service incredibly prompt even though they were quite busy.
