We returned to this little tearoom a few times over our recent Christmas holiday. We received a warm welcome from Simon, as if we’d never been away, and lived 300 yards away rather than 300 miles. Dog most welcome. Full Englishes on each occasion, made effortlessly by Simon whilst maintaining conversation with us - not sure how he does it. A great chat and good local knowledge. The food is hearty and beautifully made. Lovely tea and coffee. There is clearly care and attention to the offerings here and it really comes across. The best place for breakfast in the area, by far. The pricing is honest and great value. Thanks again and see you soon!

Just been here for breakfast and had a lovely fry up. Nice kind man serving, nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic value for a veggie full English at £9 including a coffee, this is why you come up north! You'd be paying at least £13 for that anywhere below Yorkshire. Quaint inside, few seats outside, but for a cheap caf, it was perfect. Would recommend!

My wife and I visited after seeing a sign scribbled on a chalk board during the day. It's an innovative little pop-up based in the vaults under Scarborough Market Hall, where there are craft and vintage shops by day. Manned by owner Paul who is very knowledgeable and chatty, we were treated to some superbly kept wines in a quietly informal atmosphere. It's a far cry from the hoi-polloi and bustle of Scarborough drinking holes, and one which must be prized. Top work, we'll be back.

This is one of the best food and value for money eateries in Scarborough. The staff are efficient and so friendly and always go the extra mile. Just wish this place was open in the evening. The portions are big and the quality of the ingredients are of the highest standard. I highly recommend this bistro to everyone
