Disgusting service all evening, from being told what we could order on menu to then being told we shouldn’t have ordered a kids meal (option what we wanted wasn’t on adults section) waiter was fine to take order, then manager come over and was out of line and told us not to come out if we couldn’t afford an adults meal. To then wanting to pay separately which we had done on 4/5 previous rounds of ordering drinks, manager attended our table again being rude and aggressive telling us we was causing issues and he doesn’t believe in customer is always right. We decided to leave not long after, As we left we was greeted with the manager and a sarcastic comment which in response I bit back and then I was personally verbally attack on my appearance as leaving, F*ck off you f*cking fatty” Managers words. I shouldn’t of bit but to be attacked on my appearance was a whole new level!!

OK, so challenging times for most pubs and clubs right now and with some of my regular choices still not opened, I decided to join some friends recently, to try out Lord Hill. They have utilised their outside space exceptionally well. Lots of 'safe space' not crammed in like others have chosen to do so good start. The staff were bang on us which again is worth mentioning where other places have struggled since the lifting of the restrictions. Friendly Humerous members of staff who were quick with taking and delivering what we asked for. They didn't need to keep retaking the rounds as it was committed to memory after round 2. I wasn't made to feel rushed, all covid rules were adhered too with a Gents gleaming clean to boot. The sun was on us for our stay and we throughly enjoyed the service and staff. No food was eaten but smelt delicious. Have a go, well worth the try. Sav

Have been drinking in this pub since 1979 originally called the Lord Hill then changed the name to the Coach House, then Lee took over and changed pub name back to the Lord Hill – So have been drinking back at the Lord Hill after the 1st lockdown, and your always welcomed by the staff and feel you get VIP treatment. The pub has been re-vamped and great décor and patio area out the back which is an added benefit to the pub. On arrival they write down your mobile number and take your temperature. If your lucky to get booked in on a Saturday night for the cabaret, your in for a right good night for only £25 which includes a 2-course meal in the price. When the cabaret is on everyone ends up dancing because it’s always great atmosphere, no sitting down in this pub. On the Sundays, they serve a fantastic roast dinner (not to be missed) and one of the only pubs in the area where you can get a roast dinner till 19:00 with and with live entertainment. On a Saturday night there are normally 2 door men on the door for added security, and car parking. The last cabaret we went to was Jade Goddard doing Tina Turner tribute, a great singer.

Went today with two friends for lunch. Despite the current restrictions and safety measures we had a lovely time. The pub was empty when we arrived but started to fill up as we were leaving. The food is reasonably priced and really good! The staff are lovely, really friendly and fun! And the place itself is spotlessly clean - will definitely Italy go again

We booked a table for the Sunday carvery. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar, our table was ready but we weren’t rushed. The choice of meat was beef, turkey and gammon, we could have a slice of each but if we wanted only 1 type of meat, it was still only 1 slice! Why not 3? Good selection of desserts. The staff were friendly and the service was good. A traditional pub with a nice atmosphere.

I booked this restaurant for my wife's birthday. I booked in advance and said they could cater for 20 people at 5pm on Sunday 7th January 2018. We arrived and the tables were set out and ready. However, when we went to go up for carvery there was only scraps of turkey and gammon left, Therefore only beef left. We were very disappointed as they knew in advance that we were coming and should have had the choice of meat available. Some money was discounted off but only because some of our family didn't have any meat!! Really disappointed

Ignore their website menu it doesn't exist especially the vegetarian options. Carrot soup was coloured water, my vegetable tortilla was laughable, one flat tortilla with a cold mixed salad placed on top with bar-b-que sauce???? what is that about. Where was the fried onions, tomatoes, peppers, sour cream. It was a pretty disgusting display from someone in the kitchen who obviously had no knowledge of food. Added to that three of the other mains were unavailable. The only bright spark was the waitress who was very pleasant, although not enough to encourage me and my friends to return to this sorry excuse for a gastro pub, unpalatable crap.

My brother booked a table for a small family dinner after here one Sunday! Place has a very family feel to it and is hard to believe that we were actually in a pub in Bexleyheath on a hot sunny weekend! Place was fairly busy but the staff were very attentive and friendly! We chose the carvery and everyone enjoyed the food very much as well as the desserts too! Great reasonably priced way to spend a Sunday afternoon with the family! Will definitely be back at some point soon!

Two of us went in about 3.30pm on Sunday for the carvery. Although there were a few booked we had a choice of three small tables. Years ago you had to prepay but now it's more waitress service apart from the main carvery. We had two courses for £12.95. We both had beef, good portion and nicely cooked, but veg only ok and roast spuds were hard. Treacle sponge pudding fairly good. The place is looking a bit tired and could do with a lick of paint at least.

Was once a place I visted often years ago, havent been for a few years, was shocked by how it had gone down hill, Grumpy Rude Staff, Dirty Toilets, general appearance gives the impression its on its knees, Was surprised more by the state of the place than the Bithday girl having a surprise party, think twice before going and would suggest only if nothing else is an option, was happy to have made excuses and left, many left before us and I can see why, its basic allround but Dirty and Poor Staff and Beer, Many other places near by where you can get much better value for your money.

This is our favourite pub, just walking distance away from home (so no driving required). However, if you are driving there is plenty of free space behind the pub. The food here has been good on every visit so far and though popular, we've never had to book or wait more than 10 minutes for a table.Service is friendly and prompt, the atmosphere here is great - a nice place to chill and catch up on a Sunday afternoon.

Visited the Coach House on a Saturday evening with a party of six. Can't really call this a "gastropub" . It's really just a pub with food. Pretty basic standard pub food, all the standard menu items and nothing more. Went for the sirloin steak and found it pretty disappointing and this was the general feeling from all six of us. Can't fault the service, a lovely young lady took excellent care of us, but don't expect anything but basic quality pub fare.

I cannot fault the very friendly and helpful staff. Nor can I have any complaints on the quality of the gastropub style food. My partner had been before, twice, and admittedly this was at Christmas when the place was full and atmosphere very good. So I was expecting a noisy Saturday night, drinking and eating with friends. But it was so quiet. We were the only table in the Pub. My Hunter's Chicken was good and my partner's battered cod was good as well. The portions were generous. A good wine selection as well. So in summary if they can get more people to come in and improve the atmosphere I would rate this a four.

A group of us went here yesterday, have lived in area for years and never tried Coach House before but will def be going back. Best roast I have had out for a very long time. Staff lovely and welcoming apart from one barmaid who seemed quite miserable. The gentleman serving the carvery was extremely welcoming. Very good choice of wines and the men enjoyed their beer.Thank you.

Lived in Bexleyheath for ten years and never stepped foot in until boxing day, Tired exterior has always kind of put me off (so my loss). So we had a family gathering of 20 + kids of all ages along with adults. bar area is spacious with plenty of room for the kids to run around and play. Great selection of drinks available. sat down for dinner and the staff were amazing, nothing to much trouble, starters were delicious and all out on time and together. Then we went up for the best carvery of my life, beef that melted in the mouth, turkey that was so buttery. roast potatoes that had me thinking that mine weren't so good. fresh vegetables and all the trimmings.I cant remember the last time I went out for a meal and didn't feel I was being rushed to clear off for the next sitting, two hours to enjoy the great food and chat amongst the family. The food was better than any other place I have ever had a carvery, the staff amazingly attentative.Toilets nice and fresh, but could maybe do with a little bit of paint, the same applies to the exterior. just needs freshening up a little.
