CLYDEE’S in Brighton and Hove

Had a great evening meal here with my daughter. Especially loved the milkshakes! It was a cold night in January which definitely affected the atmosphere but will happily come again.

Small but cute place to visit. Food was great. Big portions and price reasonable. Service was excellent. I wanted hit drink (a tea) which they don’t serve, but the owner still said i can make exception and breakfast tea.

Given the very high review rating, I was expecting slightly more. The burger was OK. The chips were, well chips, not 'skinny fries' as advertised. The place was empty & cold. But the owner was very friendly and pleasant.

It's delicious. The owner is kind.. The portions are generous. Two women shared the hamburger and pasta.

If you come to Brighton, please come here! It tastes really good! The owner is also very kind. I added cheese and patty to the classic burger. My wife ordered a sexy chicken burger. It was truly the most delicious burger I had in Europe. Be sure to eat here! It's a shame that only I know!!!!!

After that tough first full week back at work, I took my two teens here with the help of the First Table app to try out Clydee's early Friday evening. Our first time visit was fantastic, the classic burgers all round were the best we'd had in a very long while, I could not fault it and they certainly got a huge 👍 from the teen burger connoisseurs!, they loved the Oreo milkshakes too. The restaurant is quirky, comfortable and we were very well looked after by the staff. It was nice to hear the staff complementing the kitchen staff through the window when we said how impressed we were. Go on, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

We chose Clydee's based on the rave reviews and were completely underwhelmed. The server was fantastic 👍 The decor was basic 😑 The burgers were bland and smothered in an overly sweet burger sauce 😝 The toilet was disgusting 🤢 Overall very disappointed.

Ordered spaghetti carbonara and sexy chicken burger. Burger was fine, good size portion and tasty. Pasta unfortunately looked nice but was tasteless.

We went here with the kids to have lunch, and we had burger, halloumi burger, and pasta, and all the food was absolutely delicious (according to the kids, this was the best veg burger EVER). The people were lovely and friendly, and we'll definitely come back.

Top tier burger at an incredible price! I went with a friend that considers themselves somewhat of a "burger connoisseur" and they said that it was right up there with the best of the best. A must visit for burger fans in Brighton.

Tragic! The worst vegan burger I have ever had. Most of the restaurants use Beyond patty (or similar), this restaurant had some oily potato substance, which really isn’t working with the rest of the ingredients. The meat burger was also very average, with a strange pink sauce, the best part of the meal was chips! The restaurant is awfully cold as well, not a nice atmosphere. Won’t be going again.

Absolutely excellent! We stumbled upon this place when looking for somewhere to have lunch. Staff were fantastic, food even better. One of my friends said it was the best lunch he had ever had. Will definitely be eating here again when we next come to Brighton!

Awful burger and chips . No taste to the meat and charred and crumbly. The onion sauce was tasteless. The bun was light and well toasted . Chips tasted dry and not fresh . The restaurant had small flies everywhere and the floor was dirty. Waiter kept touching his nose and brought our food with the same hands unwashed . Good service but the food let it all down .

Stumbled across this venue while looking to eat, as we were visiting the area we took the venue on face value and went in. Are we glad we did, atmosphere was warm and welcoming, service was great, food was amazing. Definitely a return visit before we head home.

This is a local restaurant in Brighton! The burger patty is savory and the pasta is delicious even though it is made with simple ingredients! And especially the beer is so delicious~~ It’s actually a great beer restaurant haha.

A nice little restaurant with very tasty food. Everything was freshly prepared. The burgers were great but the other dishes on the menu are also highly recommended. Because we liked it so much, we visited Clydee's twice. The owners are very friendly and open minded. We had a nice conversation and would eat there again on our next visit to brighton.

Really nice little find. Just stopped by at random for some lunch before work and it was delicious. I had the Arrabiatta which was light and fresh with just a small kick of spice and my partner had the Puttanesca and they cleared the plate. Kjlydee was very attentive and checked on us to make sure we were happy with our food (we were!) and was super friendly and chatty too :))) Will defo come by again next time I’m craving pasta and a cocktail ❤️

I found this place accidentally over 1 year ago.Was very pleased and surprised by nice welcoming, friendly staff and the ( owner ) been really nice and host . I choose a Classic Burger without even knowing the place name and it was more then I expected! Very delicious , juicy burger , saucy meat , melted cheese, chips all fresh and tasted so good! Later I came back many times and never been disappointed. It’s one of the Brighton Kemptown place where you shouldn’t missed it. Good simple food and lovely atmosphere makes the most ! Recommended ! When we first saw the reviews, we were skeptical. After eating I really have to say the 4.9 stars are deserved. The burgers are really good and high quality. The meat is 100% minced meat, I didn't even like the whole burger. The service is the highlight. The service is super funny and very nice. I can't imagine any more improvement. The atmosphere is also good, especially on the street where you can people watch (which is really worth it). Really a great experience and would love to come back.

I came here for breakfast, had the full English breakfast which was really great. The waiter was friendly and we chatted for a bit, overall it's a nice and cozy atmosphere.

Guy in this restaurant is sooooo kind and friendly. Food were even better 😂 This is the best handmade burgershop in whole Europe I’ve been to. Conversation with him was so fun and he gave me shots of whisky and lemon-cello because it was my last meal in Brighton. Don’t consider. Just go here and enjoy ur best meal

What a lovely place! We took our grandson last week and the owner could not have been more welcoming. He was perfect in his manner, efficiency and friendliness. We felt so relaxed throughout and the food was really good. We travel over 150 miles to come to Brighton every year and we will certainly go to Clydee's again. Thank you for a special evening.

One of the best places I’ve been to in Brighton. The owner Clydee is very friendly, atmosphere and music is great, everyone’s just having a chat it’s very very pleasant. Food is comes out fast + absolutely delicious and they even had beers on draught!!! Couldn’t be more satisfied and would absolutely recommend
