CLYDEE’S in Brighton and Hove

Lived in Brighton for 2 years and am always looking for new places to try. I was greeted when I walked in. Service was fantastic, not too busy and food was served fast. I would eat here again.

Our first time here and we loved it! It was exactly what we needed today—great food, friendly service, and a really lovely atmosphere. Everything from the burgers to the cozy vibe made us feel welcome and happy. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The service was very polite, they checked on our well-being several times, and the atmosphere was friendly. The burger bun was very fluffy, one of the best I've ever eaten, and the entire burger was delicious. The fries were perfect, and the entire meal was very well-proportioned, which is why I felt the price was very fair.

Great little burger joint where staff are super friendly and they genuinely care about your experience. Burgers were incredible!

I've eaten a lot of burgers in my time, but none quite as amazing as the slutty burger. I walked in as a shell of a woman, hungover, starving, and basically dying but after getting my mouth around clydee's slutty burger, I've walked out a brand new woman ready to take on the world. Will come back again and again.

food was absolute crap. i had the sausage and mushroom pasta and it tasted like they had just gone to the sainsburys down the road, got a ready meal and slopped it into a bowl with some balsamic around the edge to jazz it up a bit. it was cold and had absolutely no flavour. the 2 girls working were very distant and probably said about 3 words to us in total, not even a hi, it felt very unwelcoming. the decor was lovely and gave us high hopes for the food but it was a huge let down. the only reason i have given the atmosphere 2 stars is because they played the song american pie. go to the pizzeria down the road. much nicer.

Came in for a meal while on holiday here in brighton as reviews looked good and was at the end of the road we were staying on. Safe to say not a worth while experience we were ignored when first entered but after prompting the staff asking if they were serving food we were told to just sit anywhere. Only interactions with staff were when we ordered and when we paid. No question as to how the food was or if we wanted any extra drinks. Chef was not there i believe and a barmaid or waitress was standing in due to the lack of taste and general presentation to the food. My burger was an overcooked patty covered with sweet chilli sauce and mayonnaise to cover up the fact it wasn’t cooked properly. Only positive i found was the music they played wasn’t half bad. Highly recommend the local pizza shop next door, chef was very friendly and gave us a handful of places to go while on our visit.

Burgers are okay, but nothing special. Tasty, but not mind-blowing. Delicious fries! The pub itself is a bit shabby with the same toilet. Very nice and friendly owner.

Very tasty burgers (I had the Vegan Day n Night and my partner had the Lucky Strike which looked delicious), with a generous helping of chips! Great value. It was very quiet, but probably because we went at 5pm on a Weds, but the music was fun. Really great service too.

Came to have a cheeky little burger and both of our burgers were so juicy and filling. Very nice and chatty staff, would definitely come again!

Had a great evening meal here with my daughter. Especially loved the milkshakes! It was a cold night in January which definitely affected the atmosphere but will happily come again.

Small but cute place to visit. Food was great. Big portions and price reasonable. Service was excellent. I wanted hit drink (a tea) which they don’t serve, but the owner still said i can make exception and breakfast tea.

Given the very high review rating, I was expecting slightly more. The burger was OK. The chips were, well chips, not 'skinny fries' as advertised. The place was empty & cold. But the owner was very friendly and pleasant.

It's delicious. The owner is kind.. The portions are generous. Two women shared the hamburger and pasta.

If you come to Brighton, please come here! It tastes really good! The owner is also very kind. I added cheese and patty to the classic burger. My wife ordered a sexy chicken burger. It was truly the most delicious burger I had in Europe. Be sure to eat here! It's a shame that only I know!!!!!

After that tough first full week back at work, I took my two teens here with the help of the First Table app to try out Clydee's early Friday evening. Our first time visit was fantastic, the classic burgers all round were the best we'd had in a very long while, I could not fault it and they certainly got a huge 👍 from the teen burger connoisseurs!, they loved the Oreo milkshakes too. The restaurant is quirky, comfortable and we were very well looked after by the staff. It was nice to hear the staff complementing the kitchen staff through the window when we said how impressed we were. Go on, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

We chose Clydee's based on the rave reviews and were completely underwhelmed. The server was fantastic 👍 The decor was basic 😑 The burgers were bland and smothered in an overly sweet burger sauce 😝 The toilet was disgusting 🤢 Overall very disappointed.

Ordered spaghetti carbonara and sexy chicken burger. Burger was fine, good size portion and tasty. Pasta unfortunately looked nice but was tasteless.

We went here with the kids to have lunch, and we had burger, halloumi burger, and pasta, and all the food was absolutely delicious (according to the kids, this was the best veg burger EVER). The people were lovely and friendly, and we'll definitely come back.

Top tier burger at an incredible price! I went with a friend that considers themselves somewhat of a "burger connoisseur" and they said that it was right up there with the best of the best. A must visit for burger fans in Brighton.

Tragic! The worst vegan burger I have ever had. Most of the restaurants use Beyond patty (or similar), this restaurant had some oily potato substance, which really isn’t working with the rest of the ingredients. The meat burger was also very average, with a strange pink sauce, the best part of the meal was chips! The restaurant is awfully cold as well, not a nice atmosphere. Won’t be going again.

Absolutely excellent! We stumbled upon this place when looking for somewhere to have lunch. Staff were fantastic, food even better. One of my friends said it was the best lunch he had ever had. Will definitely be eating here again when we next come to Brighton!

Awful burger and chips . No taste to the meat and charred and crumbly. The onion sauce was tasteless. The bun was light and well toasted . Chips tasted dry and not fresh . The restaurant had small flies everywhere and the floor was dirty. Waiter kept touching his nose and brought our food with the same hands unwashed . Good service but the food let it all down .

Stumbled across this venue while looking to eat, as we were visiting the area we took the venue on face value and went in. Are we glad we did, atmosphere was warm and welcoming, service was great, food was amazing. Definitely a return visit before we head home.

This is a local restaurant in Brighton! The burger patty is savory and the pasta is delicious even though it is made with simple ingredients! And especially the beer is so delicious~~ It’s actually a great beer restaurant haha.

A nice little restaurant with very tasty food. Everything was freshly prepared. The burgers were great but the other dishes on the menu are also highly recommended. Because we liked it so much, we visited Clydee's twice. The owners are very friendly and open minded. We had a nice conversation and would eat there again on our next visit to brighton.
