We tried the carvery at the Cricket Club after googling around for a decent carvery in the Catterick area. When we arrived the whole setup was very reminiscent of a school dinner. All the meat was already pre-carved, so that the whole thing works as a one big conveyer belt. The quality however is very average and most of the ingredients are clearly made from frozen. I’d recommend a Toby carvery over this. But it was edible.

Had friends up for the weekend and we were looking for a carvery.....how embarrassing!! Decided to try the carvery after recommendations from a few friends, well I wish we hadn't bothered! Very poor, and overpriced for the quality of food. Food was Luke warm, and the Yorkshire puddings and potatoes were from a packet.

Very poor Sunday lunch. Cold and bland. Not much else I can say. Drink prices were reasonable and staff friendly.

Fantastic Sunday lunch at a very reasonable price. Delicious tender beef, pork or chicken and an amazing range of veggies, gravy and sauces. Did not have room to sample puds, but they looked delicious. Excellent staff and a fabulous setting with views across the cricket green and Richmond.

It been a family tradition to stop here when travelling to Scotland for as long as I can remember. Our favourite is an egg and bacon bap, used to be a floured bap but it doesn't make much of a difference to us. Still lovely and fun to carry on this tradition.

We held our club annual dinner and prize giving here. I had black pudding bon-bons followed by lasagne. Both were very tasty with very generous portions. We were a group of 20+ and the staff did very well serving us all at once. All very reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend this pub for their food.

My husband and I waited for 50 minutes for our meal. I ordered beef stefado. When it arrived it was dry and looked as though it had been under the grill. The dish was hot but the stefado was not. Very disappointed. As there was no service check I went and returned the meal. The waitress/ staff member brought me a refund and offered anything else from the menu. She was very apologetic. This was Thursday 22nd May.

We were on holiday in Leyburn and decided to visit the Brewers Fayre for Sunday Lunch. Very pleasant staff greeted us and we had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch. Good variety of roasts and vegetables. Would suggest booking for Sunday lunch
