A lovely place for cocktails and drinks! The views are spectacular and the service is second to none! Definitely worth a visit.

I spent 3 night in the Hilton Deansgate, I found it pretty pricy for the service received. Last night I tried the 23 Cloud bar, and finally I can said it’s really worth to be there. I had an amazing cocktail with a complimentary snack. Amazing view and great service. Callum was professional and friendly, despite his young age was able to assist and make the experience even better. Definitely recommended! Thanks, Francesco

I was let down on a previous occassion here, due to some unawareness of staff regarding my disability as a powered wheelchair user. I did make a complaint and it shows my complaint was taken serious as our recent visit was just a wonderful experience and super lovely helpful staff🎊🎊🎊🎊✨✨✨✨✨✨✨💓

Were given a window seat and had great views as well as a good interior I wouldve been happy admiring. Cocktails started at a reasonable price with variety of options. Service was great and good music!

I am quite disappointed in the customer service. The waiter was unable to tell me anything about the spirits they offer neither was there a menu which I could take a look at. Then they forgot about us so we could place an order for 10 minutes. The drinks were great but ours were sitting at the bar for 5 minutes too. The ambience was quite nice and so was the view, however I am not intending on coming back.

Sharron was an amazing host and we were warmly welcomed by the doorman downstairs too. Thank you for the window seat, taking our photo, and being so attentive.

We went for a afternoon high tea. They have a great selection of teas and eats. I feel like more effort should be put into the savories. Some of the sandwiches had margarine where I feel at the price point they should have used butter. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. I do feel it is a one a done sort of a place though.

I have to say I was a little disappointed with the cloud 23 afternoon tea priced at £35 per person hence the 4 stars. Don't get me wrong it was an experience I have not had before and it was good, but some things could be better. We visited on a Monday afternoon and reserved a window seat for 2. Unfortunately, and I know the Hilton can't help this, but the majority of the view is glass towers and building works. We were seated with a little confusion. The seats were quite cramped. We paid the extra £20 for a gauranteed window seat, having never been before. Looking around it was not as clean as I would of expected from a Hilton. Dust above us on the sails. Dirty windows. The building works probably don't help. The service was good, person seating us a little confused. The person serving us very polite, but it was difficult to get anyone's attention during our time at the table. So most of the time, we drank cold tea. The food again was okay, nothing really sang, but nothing was horrible. Did I enjoy it? Yes, I was with my friend and it was a pleasant afternoon, eating nice things. Would I go again. No I don't think so. 🤔

Regret booking cloud 23 this valentines day for our 3rd year anniversary. Being a younger couple please steer away from this 'high end' bar. From upon arrival we weren't taken seriously and the lack of attentive professional service was shown from not recieving nibbles until I asked half way through and waiting ages for table service. I PREPAID for a package including 3 cocktails each and a window seat during busier hours. Which was mentioned when we got seated keep that in mind. After, we used their neighbouring services at the podium until.. We recieved a text saying theres an open check on our table upstairs at cloud23? We rushed back (leaving the drinks i paid for behind) and they confirmed it was a mix up. This made me feel embarassed and cheap something you dont expect to feel after opting for luxury. Resulted in making us late to our next reservation!! The lack of a sincere apology was the icing on the cake. Do not recommend.

Came to visit with my husband in the early afternoon. I was told there was no availability if we hadn’t booked. The party of 4 behind us opened with “we don’t have a reservation” and they were let in within 5 minutes as we waited in the foyer. I frequently stay at the Hilton for business and this was such a disappointing experience.

We arrived for our Valentine’s Day afternoon reservation, but after an hour, we were asked to leave, even though most of the tables were empty. I’m not sure why.

We had afternoon tea at Cloud 23 and it was a lovely experience. The staff were really warm and friendly and always made sure we had enough tea and coffee. The food was great and the portion was perfect. The only thing I’d change is making every party wait until the party in front had gone up in the lift. It felt a little over the top, because the lift is massive.

We visited recently for my mothers 85th birthday. We had the afternoon tea, which was fabulous. Everyone at the Hilton made my mum feel special, from the greeting st the door to Luana and Eve in Cloud 29. Food was great, the views spectacular and the service was spot on. Many thanks to all.of the team at Cloud 29 at The Hilton Manchester.

We were gifted a Cloud 23 voucher from my brother for my 60th birthday. We went for afternoon tea on 1/02/25. The venue is very nice and has a great view over Manchester. We were taken to our table and I informed the staff I had a voucher and they explained they already knew from my booking. We were asked what we would like to drink and opted for coffee and a milkshake. No explanation of the menue was given or what we were entitled to. Our food was brought out and the waitress explained what everything was. We had our food and drinks and at the end of the hour I asked the waitress if we had anything extra to pay. To my surprise she said the price of the afternoon tea had increased since the vouchers were purchased and we were told we had to pay the extra. In total we had to pay £41. This spoilt our experience on the day. The vouchers are only valid for 6 months and I feel they should honour the price paid as it feels like they have taken advantage of us. I would not recommend buying a Cloud 23 voucher as a gift as the recipient will end up paying anyway. We will not be revisiting.

Eve was wonderful, super friendly and attentive! Cloud23 was just as amazing as the photos I had seen - booking the window seat was worth it as the view at night was beautiful. Drinks were delicious too!

I have visited Cloud 23 Cocktail Bar Manchester multiple times, and it never disappoints. Every visit feels the same with consistent service and warm hospitality from the staff. The bar offers a high view of Manchester, which is stunning. The seating is comfortable, making it a relaxing experience. I always enjoy their fresh orange juice, which I order every time. This place is a must-visit and one of Manchester's iconic spots.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea in Cloud 23 this afternoon,it was one of my presents for my husband's birthday. Our waitress Luana was just lovely so warm and welcoming too. Nothing too much trouble very attentive. The food was delicious, we were gjven 2 glasses of prosecco to toast Paul's birthday too,how kind . We had a lovely table near the window fantastic view,you can see for miles. Thank you Luana 😊 xx

We went on Friday night (20 dec) Absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever. Music was a mix match of Christmas songs , r&b and country. Sounded like a 1 year old had put the playlist together by accident. Complained and was told "I know we hate it too). Why on earth there isn't a singer or band on i don't know. Could be so special this place. Awful

I think this place could be so much better with the location/vibe of the restaurant. The atmosphere could be so good, all it requires is some live music/Pianist and the place would be a lot busier than yesterday. We had one drink and left for somewhere with a better vibe but we would have happily stayed should the atmosphere improve.

We booked the sky bar for my wife’s birthday in November, we had a really nice time and even my 8 year old son loved the experience especially the children’s cloud cocktail. Thanks to all staff and management. Highly recommended.

This place is run by a fabulous team!! My husband and I came for drinks and we were so warmly welcomed by Koko, she is an absolute superstar! I happened to lose my mobile and when I came back later that day, Matthew and Arek jumped right in to help me find it! I was so grateful as I was 4 days away from leaving Europe to stay for months in the middle of nowhere and I needed access to the world. Thank you so so much. You are such a dedicated bunch a people. Very friendly and attentive staff! We visited the bar in the afternoon and were offered a window seat even without a reservation. After our stay, the waitress gave us some tips on what to discover in Manchester. The bar is highly recommended, especially for the friendly service!

Gorgeous place with some lovely views of the city. Need a happy hour or 2for 1 on drinks as can get quite expensive. Nibbles could be complimentary when just having a drink small bowl of crisps or some kind of nibbles. I went as it was my birthday so could do at least some nibbles

We went there for my bestie’s birthday 🎂 She never been there and we saw that there are Christmas decorations already. So we went for the festive afternoon set menu. Their royal mill tea are just magnificent, would love to get some tea there again. We have been organised to get the window set which is absolutely fantastic. We had a great time there.

A very nice place. I booked through the website, but when I went, there were empty places. I took a table at the window. Their prices are good. The desserts are bad. Their coffee is bitter.

We visited Cloud 23 for the afternoon tea for our friends 60th birthday. The view as always didn’t disappoint. We received a fabulous service from Steff, who was very friendly, attentive and we had a really good chat with her. The food was nice and very well presented. We ordered cocktails and they were beautifully presented and served. Our friend also got a little birthday treat brought to our table, courtesy of Cloud 23, which was a lovely gesture. Overall we had a lovely stay and our birthday girl loved every moment. Reason for 4 stars is that the decor and some furniture look a little outdated and in need of a refresh or replacement.

Short break in Manchester arranged by our sons for my 80th. Fabulous afternoon tea with champagne.Do visit and sit in window seats as the view is great, right across the south of Manchester from Media City in the west to the university area in the east. Sixty years since we met at Manchester University and a wonderful way to celebrate.

Heard a lot about Cloud 23, doesn’t live up to the hype. We were in the “private room” section. The pink window adornment looked like it hasn't been cleaned since it was installed.It was full of fluff and dust. That section felt like it was forgotten about, it was an afterthought it has dark furniture and feels heavy. It’s now a case of being there done that, I won’t be rushing back.

Very Slow table service, Visited 5th Nov 2024. 10 minutes until served at the table, a further 25 minutes for 6 Cocktails to Arrive.....My Borother in law had the Waitress accidentally dropped a Glass of Prosecco over him........Then the table was charged for the Drinks we already had paid for...........Worse Night out we have all had in 2024. Food in Podium Restaurant on the Ground Floor was Excellent - The Waiter "Sam" - best Waiter I have experience "EVER". Thank you Sam.

Cloud 23, a cocktail bar in Manchester, boasts a stunning view, but my recent experience there left much to be desired. Upon arrival, I had high hopes for a memorable evening, especially since I had reserved a window table for a special date. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by several issues. Firstly, the service was incredibly slow. Despite there being about eight waiters behind the counter, they seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to customers. We attempted to catch their attention, but our efforts to make eye contact were futile. This led to a frustratingly long wait to be served. The cleanliness of the bar was another disappointment. The tables were noticeably dirty, which detracted from the otherwise sophisticated ambiance of the venue. Adding to the discomfort, we were seated next to a loud hen party group. It was particularly frustrating given that I had specifically reserved a spot by the window for a more intimate setting, and an entire section of the bar remained unoccupied. It is clear that with better management and a more attentive staff, Cloud 23 could significantly improve its customer experience and potentially double its turnover. However, as it stands, my visit was far from the high expectations I had set for the occasion. Very disappointed.

Afternoon tea on 23rd floor! A bit pricey but totally worth it. I’ve tried jasmine and green tea which are both lovely. Savory menu is on point. Cake can be hit or miss as I don’t like it to be too sweet. Overall, I love scones the most! Service and atmosphere complement overall experience, especially on a sunny day I was lucky to be seated right next to the window for the beautiful view of Manchester Definitely recommend this place

We visited with a group of 12 for afternoon tea on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated in the perfect location and got to watch and night fell on the city! The staff we friendly and catered for every need we had. The glass floor was an added bonus for the kids and adults alike

We arrived on a Tuesday evening without a reservation and were immediately given a window seat with a great view. The service staff was very friendly and I met the friendliest and most polite waiter there in my life. He also pointed out to us that on the overhanging floor on the other side of the bar there is a glass pane in the floor that you can bravely stand on and look down on. We also found the drinks very good and the prices were absolutely fine considering the location and the ambience - even quite cheap by Swiss standards.

We had cocktails at Cloud 23, they were reasonably priced and were really tasty. The bar was pretty cold which was probably the only con!

Great place to chill and have a drink in the 23rd floor after a long day. Amazing cocktails; however, service is extremely slow. No one comes to check on you or take your order. Had to call them many times.

A bit overrated I would say as the view is not something exceptional and it is like a casual bar.

We really liked the view Cloud 23 is known for. Showed the industrial character of Manchester in a dynamic setting. The decor inside was very nice. Service provided by Shannon was extraordinary.

Visited for afternoon tea today , I have been in the past on a few occasions for afternoon tea , breakfast annd cocktails and loved it .Unfortunately after today I will not be revisiting, the place looks shabby in the day light , I had photos from years ago decoration not changed and walls shabby and marked . Afternoon tea very disappointing , sandwiches not to our liking and sausage pastry tasted strange . Cakes aren’t exciting and scone small and didn’t look freshly made , jam was bland . Tea served in cheap nasty cups ,had to ask for the cups and service very slow , our table was for four and it was very small . Sorry Cloud 23 it’s a from us, especially when compared to other venues in Manchester . We won’t be returning! Cost was £40 each and then £16 service charge added .

Loved it up there. Own special lift. Open to the public. Every table has an excellent view of the skyline and is a must for photos. It's open to the public. Welcoming helpful staff. Be prepared for hotel prices. Would love to go there again.

Had a lovely lunchtime visit here with a friend, we just had a couple of cocktails which were SO good! The cocktail menu is fantastic and we are already planning our next girls visit in the group chat. The staff that served us were lovely, knowledgeable and accommodating. The only thing I would say is that the bar/nibbles menu wasn’t to our taste. There wasn’t anything either of us liked and if there was more/ more variety, we would have purchased some. We spoke to some ladies in the elevator that were saying how much they enjoyed the afternoon tea so will definitely have to try that in the future.

We visited on a Monday evening. We were fortunate to have a window seat and had a great view. It’s a beautiful space and we had amazing service from Eve. The cocktails were great. We hadn’t booked. Lovely toilets on the same floor. Highly recommend a cocktail or two to enjoy the view.

The perfect place to have a celebration afternoon tea with friends. The food was of high quality and Luana’s service impeccable. A food preference was catered for and an additional cake was provided for the birthday guest. My only quibble was the blasting cold air from the air conditioning unit which even blew the menu onto the floor. What happened to the ‘bottomless coffee’ mentioned in the previous reviews? Overall, a very enjoyable afternoon.

While walking around Deansgate, someone told me I could go up to the 23rd floor for a panoramic view of Manchester. Without thinking too much I went up. There’s a bar called Cloud 23 with a lovely view, but it's not just a place to enjoy the view you need to sit and order food I guess. I walked around, took some photos through the glass windows, and then headed back down since I don't drink alcohol. They said they accept walk ins depending on availability at the time, but recommend booking on calls in advance to avoid disappointment.

Amazing experience, beautiful place, friendly and attentive staff, some sandwich fillings and cakes were a little ‘random’, ideally could be changed for something more enjoyable, cocktails were great. Wouldn’t say the £20 extra was worth the window seat/view but overall we had an amazing time and we would return. We were celebrating a surprise visit for a 30th birthday and the staff helped us to celebrate this and threw in an extra afternoon tea birthday item for the birthday girl.

Had afternoon tea with cocktails for my Mum's 80th birthday. The cocktails and food were impeccable. Jakub looked after us very well. The view wasn't too bad either!

Booked a cocktail afternoon tea. Really great food and treats, the cocktails and tea we got were excellent. We were really disappointed with the service, considering the glowing reviews. It was really slow to start with, took ages to have us seated and for someone to get our drinks order. The person who served drinks and explained what the sandwiches and sweets were was rather unpleasant, we were caught off guard by how hostile she seemed to be. The other staff seemed really sweet and were quite pleasant, especially the person who sorted out our payment, so it seems to be an issue with just the one person. Either way, not really worth the money spent to be treated like that on a celebratory occasion.

I can definitely recommend this place. Well-organized and friendly service, beautiful interior, the drinks taste and look amazing and last but not least - the view! Just lovely!

The views were amazing during our Afternoon Tea. We took so many photos! The staff was fantastic right from the start. We had brilliant service & an array of Teas to select from. And Jenna & Steph made sure, we had everything we needed. The food was delicious Almost too pretty to eat. The ambience was perfect. We left feeling full & relaxed & would highly recommend the Halal Tea to others.

We really loved it at sunset, but I think it too expensive for only drinks. After 6 PM they don’t offer food only drinks and nuts. They have few options for non-alcoholic drinks and it’s really delicious.
