What a rip off!!! today I went to this cafe (having been several times in the past) I was charged £3.90 for a croissant and £3.20 for black coffee. Unbelievable, I will not be recommending this place or returning myself. O.A.P.

Came here for an evening on the sun terrace to watch the balloons ascend on 9th Aug. Beautiful terrace with great views, but only come here on your own and if you looooove to queue. Because you won’t see your friends. First you queue for the bar which is far too slow, then you sit down before eventually needing the bathroom at which point you say goodbye to your friends for the evening. There is ONE toilet (cubicle not a urinal) for the gents and assume just one for the ladies. That takes 15 mins each time, by which point you’ve finished your drink and go from the toilet queue to the bar queue. And then repeat this cycle all evening. Toilet queue to bar queue and back to toilet queue. Waving to your mates as you cross each other between queues! Until of course like us and a lot of people you get bored of this and go to a pub. I will never come here again. Apparently there are weddings at this venue, I cannot imagine being at a wedding event with one toilet so be warned.

Great choice of fancy coffee and drinks. Great view and location. Wish there were a bit more choice of food for kids though, otherwise great place for coffee. Enjoyed!

When I visited, I had the salted biscoff hot chocolate and it was honestly one of the best I ever had! I had it with oat milk and vegan cream, which wasn't an additional cost like most places these days. The staff were really helpful when deciding what to choose from from the variety of things on the menu. The flowers on the tables were a lovely touch too. Will defiantly return soon!

Pre booked an Easter Sunday roast for 2. The restaurant room itself is not bad and there was complimentary prosecco on the table ready which was nice. As for the meal itself...Starters of Roasted Veg Soup and a Bruschetta/Cherry Tom Feta was not bad. The mains of a Pork and a Beef Roast were disappointing. Meat was okish, gravy was passable but the Yorkshire Pud was just a thick doughy bread mix consistency which almost nobody ate. Roast potatoes were flavourless, as if not seasoned. Cheesecake puddings were, well, not cheesecake. More like a gelatinous consistency without a cheesecake biscuit base. The flavour was fine but it simply wasn't a cheesecake. All in all, last time we go there for a special meal. And as others pointed out, toilets are not the best, the bins are over flowing. I should point out that the staff that served us were friendly and nice.

The website and social media for this cafe made it sound lovely and luxurious. Do not go in winter as the cafe is tiny! One small glass room containing approximately 3 tables and a bar with about 10 stools if that overlooking a patch of grass where people dump their bikes to get a drink - lovely view! Not sure where to start on the drinks... we ordered a "smores hot chocolate" and the "banoffee" one. The smores was supposed to have toasted marshmallows, biscuit crumb and a flake on whipped cream and was described as marshmallow hot chocolate on the menu. The banoffee was banoffee hot chocolate topped with marshmallow whip with banana chips and toffee sauce... what we received are both pictured. Both in single use paper cups, both topped with whipped cream, both non flavoured basic hot chocolate. The "smores" one had marshmallows with chocolate sauce on top. We also bought the vegan salt beef pretzel roll which was basically an English mustard roll with the texture of beef in there. The staff were bored of their jobs and just wanted to chill out on a Saturday morning. So so disappointed as we travelled quite far to come here specifically!

Most food items on menu not available. They're only interested in selling you expensive hot drinks and crisps. Don't bother.

As another customer said and I fully agree…AVOID! Worst place I’ve been in a long time. Really great and somewhat deceptive website, giving the impression of good food and friendly environment and amazing views. We experienced none of these today. The best view is on the way up. When we got to the tiny cafe, without a view, it was filthy with one woman running about appearing busy and younger staff clearly bored on their phones behind the counter. Despite the hostility, we were hungry and ordered. Nothing from the online menu available and I returned a hard turkey bagel that I could have drummed out a Christmas carol on the table with! Staff were indifferent and shrugged…..not sure if they put it back on display. Wow! Will talk about this as an absolute embarrassment and a baseline for zero out of ten. Can hear myself saying in the future, ‘at least it’s not as bad as the Clifton Observatory!’ A new all time low…..climb the hill for the view, avoid the cafe.

A comfortable and friendly stop at the top of the hill where we enjoyed hot chocolates and pumpkin spiced buns to warm up after a chilly walk over the bridge. We were tempted by the pimped up hot chocolates too!! Really friendly staff.

As others have said, they’re in a great location and so have a captive audience. I thought we may have expected too much or caught them on a bad day until I saw the reviews. Headed for the cafe for the view of the bridge and because of their social media photos of the food and drink available. Sadly they didn’t live up to the hype, with our luxury “toasted marshmallow hot chocolate with whipped cream, biscuit crumble, toasted marshmallow & chocolate flake” being a simple cream-topped hot chocolate with a few marshmallows on. The blowtorch was faulty, we’re told, and no biscuit crumb either - ok, these things happen etc - but no reduction in price for a lesser product, so £8.40 it was for 2 small drinks. Ah well, live and learn.

Staff said our children sounded like a herd of elephants and kept huffing and puffing about the noise. All they were doing was trying to sit at the bar stools at the window. We spent a lot of money in there and wish I had walked out.

Staff were very friendly and did a good job but toilets were a real let-down with a loose toilet seat and the mixer tap also loose in its sink mounting. This is pretty shoddy considering this venue must be one of Bristol's premier sites.

I had read this in other reviews but decided to give it a try. Cafe in good location, fairly small but seemed ok, offered a reasonable menu. I ordered a coffee and a focaccia but was told that no hot food was available and this was at 13:50. Had to settle for a Pain au Chocolat, not really ideal, but the coffee was good.

We went to the cafe after visiting the observatory’s camera & cave. A lovely setting with friendly staff. There was a problem with one of the drinks we ordered and they resolved it straight away and then gave us a slice of cake for free to say sorry which they really didn’t need to do but was a nice gesture. The cakes were great.

Lovely cafe with a big feeling of space overlooking the iconic suspension bridge. We had really good coffee and had the most delicious cake (passionfruit drizzle). All the cakes and pastries looked good and there were some focaccias offer also. We sat inside as a bit windy and chilly on the day we went but there was a fab roof terrace you could have had coffee on. There is a great playground close by and close to Clifton Village.

Turned up here at 12.30 on Valentine’s Day (Monday) to get a coffee and sandwich, only to find out from the slightly surly waitress that they had run out of sandwiches - only thing available was a couple of croissants that weren’t even covered and therefore looked quite dry. A real shame. We left and went into Clifton village to find somewhere that had food to serve with a smile.

Appalling experience earlier today. 2 young girls behind counter couldn't have been less focused on the customers if they tried. One young girl was ignoring customers whilst trying to get some paracetamol and the girl serving was being very vocal about not taking orders AND having to make the drinks. Other girl ran off to be sick after taking tablets - clearly suffering from last night's partying! I should have picked up on the poor service earlier as there were people sat outside next to an abandoned filthy BBQ who were complaining to each other that the drinks were all wrong. All of the tables were filthy and there were takeaway cups strewn all over the outdoor area. We still went in though as we were freezing cold and wanted a cup of tea. We joined the queue and were behind two chaps who had just got thier coffee but they were the wrong ones. Once the two chips eventually got served we stepped up then stood there for 4-5 minutes - wasn't even acknowledged, young girl just moaned about having to take orders AND make drinks - must be so hard having to do two tasks at once. After being continually ignored we gave up and walked out. All in all - your staff are utterly appalling and the customer experience is ghastly. You need a good deep clean and regular monitoring of the outdoor area to keep it clean. Oh - and get staff who don't go out and get hammered then night before they have to work! Anyone reading this - save your money - there is a lovely van on the other side of the bridge that serves fantastic drinks and is fantastically pleasant to you - just what customers expect!

Due to the covid pandemic and lockdown Nov 2 to dec 2tried their takeway. Window access for order and collection with appropriate signage and hand cleanser. Friendly staff and prompt service with hot tasty food. Good selection of teas and coffee. Reasonable price and good value. Will come again and also to try full resturant service. Great views of the Iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge

Vino aquí el domingo por la noche con la señora. Haciendo un pequeño rastreo de pub en Bristol .. Entramos... fuimos al bar... y volvimos a salir. El personal era grosero miserable y terrible. . Peor personal he visto en las muchas cucharas que hemos visitado... Terrible. . . . 👎

It's a supermarket cafe so kinda what you expect - the staff were nice, the food was cheap but tasty, the place itself is fine. Nothing special, kinda like a canteen vibe.

Everything is great about this cafe especially their matcha lattes HOWEVER, they always close early from the official closing time and i am not talking about 5 or 10 minutes I'm talking about around 45 to 40 minutes.

Can't rate the food but service and atmosphere was lovely, went on a Sunday evening so very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views of the suspension bridge. Had 2 cocktails which were a little pricey but very delicious and worth it for the beautiful surroundings
