We decided to have a takeaway the first we’ve had since being in lockdown. Wanted to try something new, I browsed just eat and came across this menu. My husband loves spicy food and I love Chinese so a fusion of Sri Lankan sounded good. Without thinking I placed the order and forgot to look at any reviews so got a little worried. I then browsed google and saw only good reviews so felt better. The food arrived 15-20 mins earlier than expected. The driver was polite and followed the message I left on the ordering site which always helps and rare. The food was hot, fresh and was actually amazing! All the food had its own individual taste and was the right spice. I ordered extra hot for him and it was perfect (warning he loves the hottest chillis) Will definitely be our new curry place as lived here for 2 years now and nothing has come close to this. Highly recommend. Didn’t get to take any pictures we had eaten it before I thought about it! Sorry not sorry

Had food from this little takeaway in North Watford on lots of occasions and it's always been fabulously tasty. Staff are amazing friendly. All home-made, samosas are like nothing I've ever tasted - lamb, chicken or veggie all equally delicious (and spicy!). I actually get cravings for them! Also the mutton rolls - another street snack of very spicy lamb but so good! We quite often have the hot filled wraps- absolutely packed with filling and fresh veggies (your voice of meats/paneer/veggies) all freshly cooked to order on their 'Kottu' in front of you- mesmerising to watch! Actually a lot of the food is cooked on the Kottu so you see everything being prepared. Curries, and all sorts of noodles/rices/ etc are available and there's an eclectic mix of fusion food. I've included a photo of the menu so you can see how diverse it is, despite being such a small outlet! This is takeaway only but they do have delivery too. Sri Lankan food tends to be VERY spicy, but you can order whatever you want in mild/medium and hot (or any variant inbetween!). Delicious food and incredibly reasonable prices.

Been visiting the St Albans Rd one for couple of years. Never been disappointed. Picked up a large order of mixed samosa today, they were ready bang on time and perfectly cooked. Don't be put off by the tiny shop front and simply layout. Give this place a try and you will be hooked.

I have ordered various types of food from Clay Pot in Watford for the family and family functions. They always delivered delicious food promptly with a smile . They work very hard to Taylor make to our request. They are always polite, pleasant and nothing is too much for them. My family and I are so glad to have them as one of the best SRI Lankan takeaways , just like home cooking in Watford.

This place has been consistently very good with authentic food that’s reasonably priced. Food takes a bit of time which indicate that it’s freshly made.

Found this brilliant little place on Google maps. The food is the same as you would find in Sri Lanka to the same, if not a better quality. Very reasonably priced and genuine, friendly staff. Haven't seen a kothu shop where they cook right infront of you before this restaurant, anywhere in London.

We had a very good experience here! It's hard to find good quality Indian food in London, this restaurant did a very good job. Lamb biryani, methi chicken, and qeema naan were all top notch.

Food was reasonable. Not the best curry Indian food I have ever had but definitely not the worst. Service was good and waiter was very friendly. However was a bit shocked to find that my pint of coke zero (from tap) was £5.50. Yes, I am eating in a restaurant but £5.50?

Hotel i stayed in didn't do food i was particularly interested in. This was 5 minutes walk away and I love indian food. I looked at the reviews and thoughts been a long day not too many negatives so let's give it a whirl. Restaurant was empty first in. I was away on business. It was early ish 6.15 so not surprised. Great greeting by the young man on the desk. Table for one. Didn't want poppadoms so had starter Chicken Chat. Absolutely gorgeous. Had my fave beer Bangla. Main course Chicken Jalfazi Mushroom Rice and Chappatti. The food was excellent. The restaurant stated to fill with indian/ Asian people so o knew i had made a good choice. The one thing that did supruse me was the orders for take away & collection it was non stop. Would i reccomend.... definitely without a doubt one of the best meals I have had. Credit to all staff especially the chef Next time in Watford I will be back but will bring others with me.
