Reviews seemed good so gave it a spin. Asked for half pounder with cheese and bacon & chips. Rather than be told they don't do half pounders, I was served up two super skinny burgers, exceptionally dry, nothing special, minus the bacon. Took almost 15 minutes to come out. Disappointing. The salt lid wasn't properly secured, went all over the chips rendering them inedible. No offer of replacement. Left hungry. Won't return, poor quality food and equally poor service.

Great food as usual, Just wish the staff would not shout so loud when in conversation. Cafes are noisy but all can hear is staff taking about their private life.

Best cafe in Leatherhead let down only by poor quality sausage otherwise 5 stars. Menu pick 7 items great option. Friendly.

This is an unasuming cafe. Decor is dated and the place isnt best described as cheerfull. But the staff were pleasant and the food was good at a price that is about right these days. Would have been nice if the tables had been wiped down and the food detritus removed from the floor but its not the Ritz and overall was fine. Worth popping into - yes it is.

The service was extremely poor as when the food was served, it was slammed on the table with no communication, and drinks were put at the corner. We had to get our own knives and forks. The food was average at best. I used to come in here before covid and it was a great shame that it’s gone so downhill.

Been coming the Clarke’s for years, absolutely the best cafe I’ve been to anywhere. If you are local and want breakfast / lunch then read no further, you’ve found an absolute gem. It’s traditional cafe food, all cooked fresh and made from good quality ingredients. No 3 page menu of questionable steaks and frozen jacket potatoes thankfully! Coffee is freshly ground and there’s juices and some less fried options on the menu if healthy is your thing. Staff are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Got refittted over lockdown so looks very smart inside now.

Visited here as my usual cafe (The Sunshine Cafe) was closed. The food itself was lovely - very tasty sandwiches etc. However the clientele left a little to be desired. Not the owners fault I suppose, but a little off putting. Would like to return but would peer in through the window first.

Tuesday visit for 4 of us. The food was excellent(best omelette ever)with friendly and efficient service. We will return.

Rang in an order today for 7 different varieties of sandwiches for my staff and needed them ready for 8.30am pickup. They were ready on the dot, all bagged and labelled up and ready to go. Staff are now happily munching away and all saying how good the food is. Superb service and also very reasonably priced. Well done...I’ll be back!

We visited this summer with family from Yorkshire who are very proud of Yorkshire food and hospitality and we were all so impressed that they admitted that this was BETTER than Yorkshire. It is such an amazing example of planning, organisation and generally running a business that all new business owners should take heed and learn. I have driven past so many times and seen it full to bursting and now I know why. Excellent coffee, very good quality food, prepared and served immaculately, very clean and a very tastefully interesting decor. We look forward to going again and will see what else we can try. We wish them well and really appreciate the excellent management behind the scenes.

I have to say what a lovey coffee they do here, using fresh coffee beans I would recommend it, and at a great price

Great place for a full English fry up breakfast and staff happy and helpful with the kids, as long as you don't expect any frills you will not be disappointed.

This cafe is close to where I work and is always a treat to have lunch at. Food is always good and served quickly, staff always friendly plus a selection of papers to read. All good!

We decided to try somewhere new to eat. So we came here for a quick lunch. I ordered the tuna and mayo sandwich and my friend had a cup of tea and a panini. The food was absolutely delicious.

This is a traditional café serving straight talking Full English Breakfast and lots more. The staff are always pleasant and there is usually a news paper to browse.

Puede que no sea su comida típica de Navidad, pero estaba bien para nosotros - un grupo de en su mayoría hombres, todos los cuales son trabajadores manuales. El café está muy bien decorado y es fácil de encontrar con fuera de aparcamiento o al otro lado de la carretera. El menú consta de diversos tipos de desayuno que son razonables en alrededor de una fiver, con una selección de sandwiches y hamburguesas. Aunque no hay mucha variedad para los vegetarianos, para ser sinceros, no esperábamos diferente en un lugar como este.

Went in to order and there're is a young 16 year old cook left alone with no supervision, on how he is preparing the food, there should be a qualified cook keeping an eye on him , let alone this is not allowed due to health and safety reason he clearly has no health and safety as I never once saw him wash his hand and contaminating all other foods, or prepare in the right way , plus no visible health and safety certificate , I could clearly see the horrible stained bean containers they were using clearly not a safe to use , the floor was black with dirt , the oven they used had old rotten food left on it from where you can see they do not clean properly, the water they use to make tea ect had lime scale all over hole,Otherwise there is HEATH AND SAFTY HAZARDS everywhere not run properly in any way I am surprised it's open

Went to the toilet with my daughter. Came out to find out full meals had been taken away. Always seem to be rushing to close. No refund. And an empty stomach. What happened to good old fashioned cafes.

Been coming here for ages and it's always really really good.Mostly come here with my dad to cure a hangover and the breakfasts are second to none, cooked how you want them and tasty.Young guy who works there is really nice and approachable, lady who also works there is the same. It's always busy when I come in and the atmosphere is really nice

We decided on heading to Clarke's cafe around 1:40pm on Saturday. We have been to this cafe many times before as we have family who have lived close by for a number of years. Seconds after entering a lady who was cleaning the tables informed myself and my heavily pregnant fiancée (38 weeks) that it had to be taken away. This wasn't a problem but the manner it was announced, shouting from one side of the cafe to another whilst there were people sitting down and dining was very rude and inconsiderate considering the situation. I then proceeded to walk up to the counter and order our food, there was a youngish gentleman who was serving us but didn't actually ask me what I wanted. I must of waited a minute before he took any notice of me (even tho he was standing looking nonchalant right behind the counter staring into thin air) I then proceeded to make my order but yet he didn't speak a word. We waited and got our takeaway sandwiches' and said thank you, but this wasn't reciprocated in any way, shape or form. I've had some lovely experiences here over the years with my family, but after this I felt like a burdon. I will be giving this cafe a miss from now on, these two "members of staff" were abismal! I guess I missed the happy go lucky, polite members of staff today!

Proper builder's breakfasts. / Brunch / Lunch Nearly faultless throughout.Changes I would ask to make would be :1 ) Bigger stronger coffee2 ) Use premium sausages and tell people to pay up.That's it. I'll be backp.s Their crusty bacon roll is the dog's.

A brilliant cafe outside of Leatherhead offering you the chance to choose your own breakfast at a cheap price. Food is very tasty arrives very quickly and the staff are very friendly. I do not need to say anymore other than a superb establishment.
