Caught a whiff of the food when we walked past. Decided to order and it didn’t disappoint. Pretty legit cha chaan teng food especially the make your own bowl noodles. Didnt take any pics as we ordered food delivery. Food arrived safely and well packed for consumption.

Reasonable price, authentic Hong Kong taste. 米線 reminds me the good old days.

What a hidden gem. I've walked past here hundreds of times and never given it a second glance. The food is delicious. The service was really attentive, friendly and helpful. We chose from the waiters recommendations and were very satisfied.

The dishes are too monotonous and the stir-fried dishes lack the flavor of the pot. If there is roast duck and roast pork, it will definitely receive a five-star rating.

Nice Hong Kong style cafe in Brighton. Good portion size with a reasonable price. I particularly like the curry fish balls- it’s well seasoned and does remind me of the ones I had in Hk. The noodles in tomato soup base is nice as well but it would’ve been even better if the soup base could be richer/ more flavourful. Will certainly return to try other things on the menu !

I've been coming here over the past few years and they never disappointed me. The menu is fairly large, food is quite nice and they offer good value for money. The people working here are all very friendly as well. I can definitely recommend this place.

Got dumplings for takeaway and they were so small, 5 pork dumplings for 7£? It felt really overpriced for what it was.

Highly recommending their spicy soup noodles, great portion of Noodle and toppings, enough for a big eater like myself. Mine was 5 toppings plus 2 additional toppings. The chinese mushroom is a must try, juicy, tasty and meaty, the best quality in the UK chinese restaurant. Iced lemon tea is good, but personally I like it sweeter, so make sure you let the waiter knows when ordering.

Quality of food should be good enough for hong konger (even). But pricy for HK standard. I know it is similar elsewhere in UK regarding price.

Got food poisoning after eating noodles today. We sat near the kitchen and smelt food coming from the kitchen that smelt like it was off. When our noodles arrived it was the same smell and got food poisoning from it

Great find, the mixian rice ramen noodles are worth a try. Careful of the spice level as even mild is spicy. Very tasty, a good spot.

We initially planned to have seafood in Brighton but decided to try this Cantonese restaurant based on positive feedback. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. - Oven Baked Pork with Cheese on Rice: The pork was decent, but the fried rice lacked flavor, and the tomato sauce was overly sweet. - Rice Noodles ("Ramen") in Hot and Sour Soup: The soup was quite plain, lacking the expected punch. The mushrooms were flavorful, but the rest of the toppings were just okay. - Hong Kong Style Milk Tea: The drink was poorly mixed, with syrup settling at the bottom. The initial sips were tasteless, with an overwhelming sweetness only at the end. Service was average, with longer than expected wait times for both the drink and the rice. Overall, it was not a positive experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place

While the food was good, service from the owner was good, but there was this young man, the service was really average, he just came and brought food to our table and just puts it at the edge of the table and goes away, would expect him to put the food infront of the customer. at one point his finger almost touched the food. There was 0 communication.

Very traditional Hong Kong street style food, do not expect high quality service but food are amazing.

We ordered hot and sour noodles and dry beef ho fun (common HK dish). The noodles was ok but ho fun portion was really small. We couldn't believe that the ho fun was soaked in the oil, my husband refused to return and complain about it, he tried to drained the oil away. I felt really sorry for him as he knew it wasn't good for his heart. When he finished eating, the plate of oil able to cook another 2 plates of ho fun...not kidding. We sat at the front table and I am very sure the boss would have seen it but Didn't Nothing!!

After playing for more than 20 days, I finally wanted to eat Chinese food. I saw the rating of 4.3 and took it in. I ordered fried beef river, beef brisket and radish rice noodles, dumplings, and curry fish eggs. The waiter was polite, and the curry fish eggs were delicious and chewy and big in a hot bowl. Shengzhu is very delicious😋

Very legitimate HK style food and drinks, they have a good portion per dish with great selection from the menu.

Some dishes are good while others are disappointing. Ordered seasonal vegetables dish and received lettuce only. Given an answer that this was the season vegetable 🥹

To be honest, not my best choice. We thought it looks good because there were chinese people eating. It's clean and the waiter was polite and helpful but food was not great and for 2 of us we got one meal and rice ,then after 8 minutes got the other, at this time there was only us in. The noisy chinese had gone and had not eaten much of there meals.

The food is so good. It’s not the first time. But it seems that the waiter has been different several times. This time the waiter spoke Mandarin and still had body odor and some nausea.

Impatient staff. Spicy sour soup not as described, not sour at all. We ordered iced lemon tea with less sweet, but it came very sweet and lemon were tasteless. This’s not our first time visiting, but apparently the quality of products and service went down a lot.

I go to eat almost every day, always between 4 and 5 o'clock. After I finish eating, I start working. It's my Brunch. I always order a meal, but the waiter in the restaurant is very unhappy when I order a regular meal. It is said that I can eat evenly, but it really hurts my back and spine. If I talk about it once, it’s a joke, twice, it’s okay. If I talk about it every day, I feel bored and don’t bother me, so I don’t eat anymore. . I'll give you all the ten pounds I have, but I'm afraid I'll give them to the shop next door.

We have fish fillet cheese baked rice, pork chop cheese baked rice and milk tea HK style, they were all very nice. Rice baked well with lots of cheese, big portion.

I'm half Chinese (but don't speak or read it) and can usually get through a Chinese/Asian menu without issue. Everything I ordered here was odd or awful. Most of it was really greasy and tasteless.

Incredibly good! Decided to go against the tide and not order a soupy noodle. Did a variety of dumplings and stir fried noodles. Much better than most places in London! The only caveat - a group at the next table had to leave disappointed when they figured a vegan diet and traditional Chinese food don't really mix.

To be honest, the baked pork chop rice is really not worth recommending. It may be the signature dish, but it has too much juice and the rice is not fried! The rice noodles are not Hong Kong style! The braised beef brisket is a surprise. The beef brisket is juicy and the beef root is soft and smooth.

The best tea restaurant in the history of the earth. The service is attentive. The noodles are chewy and smooth. The beef brisket and tendons are moderately fat and lubricated. The frozen lemon tea is refreshing and relieves the heat. I highly recommend the pineapple oil, which is soft, glutinous and sweet. If you come to Brighton, don’t try it. It seems Brother Qi didn't come.

Unfortunately I found the food flavourless. Limited in choice by wanting only the vegetarian options, but this should not have detracted from the flavours. The vegetable gyoza broth did taste a bit like it might have had a chicken base.

Today is called Zuo Pork Chop Rice. The sauce tastes strange, but there is no tomato flavor, and there is no thick pork chop. Overall, it is very different from the Hong Kong Baked Pork Chop Rice that I know. The mixed grilled fries were normal. All the grilled fries were light in size and had more than half the fat, which was disappointing.

Extremely disappointed. It’s so hard to eat. I’m even more annoyed after reading these reviews. Maybe I’m an old Hong Konger and I can’t understand the taste of Hong Kong.

Opened by real Hong Kong people, this tea restaurant is full of Hong Kong special food. It has emotion and taste. It is a rare restaurant in the UK. There are curry fish balls, pineapple oil, "Tan Zai" rice noodles, and regular meals. . .

Such a large set meal only costs ￡16.50! What a great value for money!

I tried the baked pig and rice noodles a few days ago, and everything was good! Although many people have complained about the roasted pig, it doesn’t taste like Hong Kong’s. I would say it is indeed different, because the food is better than those in Hong Kong😁!

Sunny day trip to Brighton from London, I heard a lot of recommendations and it indeed lived up to my expectations. No hype no frill, just good stuff. Food - I had the 'All Day Breakfast' for a good value combo, the Pork Knuckle Lo-Mein w/ broth, and HK-style milk tea. Overall, proper Hong Kong cuisine, I recommend it. Service - fast, polite, and great customer service by the owner （'Kay Gor') and other staff. Two people managing all the tables. Atmosphere - It's not much, your classic 'Hole in the Wall' but good food and value. The owner also runs another restaurant in Hove for 'HK Style - Safe Habour Cusine', another classic HK cooking I'm willing to try next time when I visit. 加油

The baked pork chop rice tastes good. However, I prefer Hong Kong's specialties, such as a large pork chop and fragrant mouth. My experience this time was that it was juicier and had more small pieces. Closer to British taste.

She was exceptionally attentive, polite, and friendly from the moment I entered until I left. When I inquired about recommendations for traditional Hong Kong cuisine enjoyed by locals, she promptly showed me some authentic dishes. The food was delicious, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.

Such a gem of a place. It felt very authentic and when we clearly struggled what to order, the staff was more than happy to help and make suggestions. We tried 3 of the soups which you can assemble yourself. They were really good. Good value for money too.
