Both Curries tonight were, absolutely delicious. We had prawn madras & Sabizi dhal, the heat was perfect (fiery) & the right amount of spice was used . We have been, long time 'users' of Cinnamon, they have always been really good, with their Curries &, 'delivery' times being great.

Ordered two dishes . I don’t normally eat Indian , food was good , however the prawn dish I ordered was mainly spinach .

not had a meal from here for a wee while, but hey, you like hot spicy food, this is the place for you !!!. as for the spicy onions.. great !!

Lovely size chicken pakora portion. Tikka bhuna Curry and sag aloo veg side had excellent flavour and Nan bread was light and crispy. Recommend the garlic and peshwari.

Eaten in here since moving to portobello 3 years ago many times and left 5 star reviews. But sadly last 3 times we have had food it has not been great. One time we ordered a week night close to closing time, was genuinely the worst chicken pakora I have ever had and food was not great, doesn’t matter if your last order food needs to be good all the time. We have started ordering from other places and we won’t order from here again. Ashame as it used to be really good

absolutely disappointed with the meal overall was watery and unappealing. the price paid is disgraceful for the quality provided. delivery service was good but I wouldn't order again total waste of money.

This is NOT a Complaint. The order was placed on a Saturday night, with a long waiting list. We were very grateful for the early delivery, always great food, great service & delivery & always use Cinnamon for our 'Indian' curries.

Disappointed with main dish as wasn’t how I thgt it wld be. Usually a tikka massalla tastes creamy or yogurt flavour but this had none. I wld never knew that was tikka massalla if I was to be blindfolded.

Amazing Indian. Would highly recommend. Narali style chicken is a personal favourite. Will definitely be back.

Ordered a prawn butterfly as I love them this Was awful had no taste as was rubbery and breadcrumbs feel apart in my hand Main which was chicken nentra which was again tasteless Won't advice anyone using this place so many more places to buy Indian food Definitely WONT buy from this place again

The food was tasteless and cold. King prawn butterfly was too chewy. Chapati was hard and cold. Mango chutney has a disgusting off taste. Very disappointed

It was okay. I was less keen on the paneer and there wasn’t a lot of it. The curry was very mild and lacking in seasoning. The rice was lovely, as was the service.

The curry tasted great but didn't stay inside me for very long. I noticed their food hygiene rating from Edinburgh council is very low. I won't be back.

No onions & sauce with ordered papadams. Ordered very mild bryani, but it was very hot, needed milk with any bite. Very disappointed. Will look for other take away shop.

Ordered chicken tikka masala and got 5 bits of chicken the rest was sauce won’t be using them again

2 hours and online order STILL not delivered! Food +5 , delivery - 80! Not recommended for online orders. Appetite has gone!

Ordered at 5.30pm, delivery confirmed by 6.30pm. By 7.15pm, it hadn’t arrived. I phoned and was told the food was ready but there was no driver and no estimated time of delivery. I was asked to collect it instead (we’re in Musselburgh not portobello). By the time we did that, it was 8pm. When I called to ask about getting our money back, the man hung up on me 3 times because he was busy! Customer service was appalling. Food was average. Won’t be back.

Ok, but bland. The Korma was the most spicey dish, the lamb poor quality..

Since moving to portobello we tried a few different Indian take aways which were average or not great. Since trying cinnamon we have not used another one since, food is shears great and staff very nice. We will happily continue to eat from here.

Just had the non vegetarian set meal for two from here and I must say it was outstanding every single thing was so full of flavour and it arrived still nice and hot. The other good thing was that we could change the curry’s on the set menu to the one that we preferred. Well done cinnamon 👍

The vegetable balti was lovely. Lamb was chewy-tough. It wasn't on the time we ordered and that affected our plans and transport. Chose an alloted time, not. 'as soon as possible' on Just eat. When we arrived they said it would be 20 more minutes because they were very busy. When we returned in 20mins, they said it would be another 15mins. And then it was agreed just 5 mins more,

We absolutely love Cinnamon and always get curry from there, but the last two times the chicken has tasted horrible. Not sure what has changed but I hope they change back!

Best Indian food we’ve had! Would absolutely recommend it!

We placed an order at 5.20 and I was told 45 mins- an hour. Which was fine, it was nearly 2hours before it arrived after me phoning to check how long it would be. When it arrived the driver asked me how much change he needed to give me but he didn't have enough. He said he would owe me. Usually I wouldn't take the change but after waiting so long I think they should have gave us a discount for the wait. Thankfully the food was fab. Would advise a collection if you order from here in future.

Absolutely lovely food best takeaway We have had in ages! Portions were so big so next time we will get half the amount. Yes there will definitely be a next time!

Ordered Tandoori mixed grill and Tandoori chicken. Meal arrived on time and plenty of it. Unfortunately the chicken in the mixed grill wasn't completely cooked through. Phoned to advise Cinnamon and the guy actually argued that it was cooked. We were the ones sitting looking at the uncooked chicken he wasn't. Not impressed with the attitude to be honest so last order has been placed. Disappointing

The food was excellent ! The Dahl and Lamb Katmandou were really good and the veggie rice is very tasty and full of veggies. The naans are huge ! (Even though the garlic naan could have more garlic). The staff is really nice and they can adapt the spicy level to your needs. We did take away and it was ready in 15mins as expected. I recommend !

The delivery came 10 mins after the estimated time, however the app seemed to suggest it was delivered on time even though it hadn't arrived.

We asked for a bit of heat on two dishes and they were lovely, the prawns in herbs is my mum's favourite and she very much enjoyed it, thank you.

We thought we actually found an amazing in Indian takeaway had many meals from here absolutely flawless excellent quality and priced very well. But one evening you decide to place and order and ur quoted price is more than £15 more than you would usually pay you start to ask questions given a whole load of rubbish down the phone regarding the price won't return would not recommend

This was our first taster of the menu delivered and it was brilliant! All the dishes tasty and appropriately packaged and hot. And very more-ish. Looking forward to our next dinner with Cinnamon!

Best Indian take away in Portobello for Indian food

I'm visting my mum in Edinburgh for the first time in 3 years, 3 years ago this takeaway was awesome, quality food and good large portions. I was disappointed in the food today. I had the Lamb Balti Karahi, sauce was ok but not a proper Karahi and had only 6 small pieces of lamb in it (less meat than a tesco ready meal), I've paid £10.95 to still be hungry. My mum had the Chicken Pista Pasanda- mum is very elderly, is normally unable to eat a her full meal and used to eat half and save the other half for lunch the next day, not tonight, all eaten and still hungry. The food was tasty but it was £10.95 and £10.75 respectively for what was little more than curry sauce and rice. The delivery was fast, the quality was good, the portions of meat extremely poor on this occasion- you used to be the best, what happened?

Ordered at 16:34 hrs for delivery at 18:00 hrs . Delivery late . Restaurant unhelpful . Will not order from them again . Food nothing special .

Cold. Flaccid. No spice or depth. Small portions. No meats in curry dishes, just sauce. Phoned restaurant and embarrassingly acknowledged orders had been sitting under heat lamps for a long time awaiting a delivery driver. King prawn tandoori???? Under heat lamps = MUSH!!! SHOCKING

The lamb takeaway Massala was really sweet, couldn't eat it.
