From manager to staffs service is terrible. It’s seem manager is the Asian women very snobby. Attitude of manager and staff like they in period. Food in average, the worst in almost the sites which I have tried in the UK. Atmosphere not busy also not friendly. Never back here again. If can rate 0 star, defo will do it.

Dining at Pho was great experience. We enjoyed every entree. The summer rolls, rice entrees were absolutely delish. Charlie provided great service.

Aileen is lovely and couldn’t have been more attentive. She looked after my friend and myself today. We ate the most delicious food and had to order more and even that was not enough. We will be back.

Busy little restaurant at St James quarter, this is ideal for those who love fresh fragrant food. This isn’t to our preference however it would be unfair to rate fault on my preference in food as the food was still nicely presented and full of flavour. The beef brisket soup had amazing broth and noodles, the brisket was a little chewy for me however I can’t fault the dish. I loved the sea food spring rolls but wasn’t a big fan of the summer rolls, this is purely to preference I’m not a fan of cold peanut sauce or the texture of the rolls, if you love glass noodles you’ll like this though. I’ll certainly try something different another time as we ordered on a whim with no knowledge of Vietnamese food. Can’t fault the service either they do their upmost to keep everyone happy even difficult customers who are simply complaining about the price of water. Was absolutely happy to pay the service charge because of this.

Great friendly staff, great food and selection of authentic cuisine. Our server was a lovely young lady, Amahat- sorry if that’s spelled wrong- gurl you were so sweet. Will definitely be back! We even took Pho to go! First time visiting you guys but definitely won’t be the last. Very reasonable price and perfect for those whom can’t eat gluten- like me! Staff very well informed on allergy’s and recommended foods.

Horrible customer service and staff , all are very rude and disrespectful! We ordered a main dish and it was not correct as we come here from last 4years regular! We told that this isn’t made correctly the chef from there stares at us and say this is how it is made and also the order taker was rude and unhelpful! This place has really lost the authenticity and quality! Quality of service is extremely low! ! The person who took our bill did remove the charge of one dish as we were unhappy and we said to remove but he was absolutely rude and with a lot of attitude! The food has always been nice but the staff is very disappointing! We are so disappointed and will never come back !!

Been here a few times now and it's becoming a firm favourite! The food is very delicious and fresh and doesn't feel heavy or oily. Our server Kieran was top notch today, friendly and polite. The music and atmosphere is very easy going and relaxing also, with a slight mix of music. Will for sure be back again and again.

Fantastic food and great service

I had the pleasure of being served by Pete during my first visit, and I can't say enough about how amazing he was. From the moment we sat down, Pete greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel welcome. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he offered great recommendations. Pete's exceptional service made our meal even more enjoyable, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend and if Pete is your server then it's a bonus!!

I love coming to Pho. The Edinburgh one Aileen is such a lovely server — she was super friendly and polite. Very nice staff in general! Everyone else was also very nice and they complement the delicious food very well.

Had a delightful experience here. Parked my Ford Transit van in the lovely downstairs parking that was very easy to get around. Managed to get a seat when it was quite quiet for a party of uno (one for my non spanish speakers in the audience). My delightful server tom was very attentive to my shellfish allergy (which might I add other venues aren't anywhere near as accomodating at this joint) and I had the beef fried noodles! Wow! I haven't had this good food since 2013 when I actually went near vietnam! Plenty of jokes and laughs later, and some good truck chat from my server (he knew alot about Ford Transit vans) later and it was time to go, shamed to go but I will be back!! Our food was mostly good but I was really put off and left angry with the handling of the bill. When we asked for the bill , he came over and with the card machine and no bill. He said there is an automatic service charge that he could remove if we wanted. He did not say the tip was almost 15%! I shouldn't have to ask to remove the service charge. It should be an option to add it. We didn't see the actual bill until we got the optional receipt. I wouldn't go back there just for that. The meal was decent, but we left with a bad taste.

Me and my granda went for a spot of lunch on our day through to Edinburgh , we both got the steak garlic soup noodles , I have to say the food was bland there was no taste and the steak was chewy no hint of garlic what so ever and the noodles tasted weird , the only thing we enjoyed food wise was the chicken wings for the starter I got the summer chicken rolls because the other ones had mushrooms and I was nicely informed due to my allergy about it by the great waiting staff but they were very bland also no taste what so ever the thing it was wrapped in wasn’t edable at all , the staff were pleasant and very helpful , I see people say about the service charge the staff that served us were nice when saying with our bill before we paid if we wanted to remove it or keep the £6 , we opted to remove it and there wasn’t a charge like many others are saying , I can’t fault anything else about the place it’s just a pity the food let down it for us with being extremely bland there really honestly wasn’t any taste from anything from the noodle soup we got . I hate leaving reviews like this but yeah I expected more because it looked a good busy place . I think the chef needs to pay attention to some more seasoning and maybe offer salt on the tables we had to ask for salt and it was brought out in a little dish .

One the best pho I’ve ever had!

We had a great time at Pho St James Quarter. Excellent gluten-free and vegetarian options. Shout to Tom, he provided a great service and had a fine eye for details.

It was really great, there were a lot of people eating here. Today I tried the crab noodle soup and fried rice with chicken and dried shrimp, and the drink was coffee. Honestly, this is the only place that has Vietnamese crab noodle soup, and it was quite good. I think it was 7.8/10 for me. It would have been better if the restaurant served it with a hotter broth, because it was a bit cold. And I would have found it great if they added shrimp paste to this crab noodle soup, because I couldn't smell or smelled very little shrimp paste, which is the soul of this dish. As for the fried rice with chicken and dried shrimp, I think it's not really Vietnamese, because this dish is combined with chili satay (chili stir-fried with oil and annatto oil). Combining this fried rice with chili satay has reduced its deliciousness, it's quite spicy and oily. When you eat a few spoons, it is still quite good, but if you eat the 5th or 6th spoon, you will feel spicy and bored. As for the coffee, it is okay, but I do not feel it is much like Vietnamese coffee. I am a big fan of Vietnamese coffee, I drink and make it 4 days/week, I even have my own recipe. In short, this shop is still very good and worth coming back for a second time. The above reviews are based on my personal opinion.

Good food but they charge the "optional service charge" without asking the customer first. The manager set things right and I was refunded the service charge but for me this is a red flag and I will not be going back again.

Came a week ago with a friend and we were served by Hana (i’m sorry if you’re reading this, i know it’s late!!) but she was absolutely wonderful and made us feel so at home - the sweetest soul ever, will be back not just for the amazing food but for the perfect service :) x

Really great place to eat at. Had the chicken and prawn noodles which were very flavourful with good portions. Staff were professional and very understanding. Specifically a guy called Pete who provided very good customer service for my friend and myself. Would recommend

We had a lovely lunch here, our server Tyson was very amiable. The photo shows the Curry Prawn and Pho Xao Beef Noodles. The sauces on the side made a great addition to the dish. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try Vietnamese food, we'll for sure be back soon. 😁

Delicious food (as I’ve always found to be the case with Pho), but the service was awful in this branch… 1hr 15 mins from arrival to a bowl of pho being in front of us. The waiter slopped one of the bowls across our table, the floor (and himself) and didn’t utter word of an apology, or come back to clean it up. After rushing through our food, I asked for the bill with a clearly inferred sense of urgency (we had a cinema booking next door, with the film starting 2 hours after our table booking…) - in spite of getting to the point where we were so late that we were literally sitting on the edge of our seats with coats on, our waitress continued to wander round serving other tables for quite some time. By the time we did actually pay, we simply didn’t have time to politely challenge the “optional” service charge that had already been added to our bill.

Came in and were immediately welcomed and seated. Nice atmosphere to the restaurant. Our server Molly was lovely - very helpful in guiding us when selecting from the menu. Food was brilliant, especially the baby squid starter. 10/10 would recommend.

Loved dining at pho tonight, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and I was immediately seated. We were served by Molly who was super lovely and attentive. I ordered the coconut pineapple martini which was probably the best cocktail I have tasted. The food was equally delicious and will definitely be coming back x

Disappointing experience - not worth repeating We chose this restaurant because of the many good reviews and the long queue outside, which gave us confidence that we would have a good meal here. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. After entering we were quickly assigned a table, but then things went wrong. It took a good 10 minutes for someone to come by to take our drinks - or so we thought. In reality we had to wait 45 minutes, and only after we asked ourselves were our drinks finally brought. As an apology we were offered a 50% discount, which was nice, but did not make up for the inconvenience. Not much later we saw that the table next to us, who had ordered after us, received their food earlier. When we inquired about this, it took another 15 minutes before our food was on the table. It wasn't particularly busy, so the long waiting times were incomprehensible. When the food finally arrived it was disappointing. The soup with steak and noodles was bland in taste and the portion on the small side. The wok with steak and noodles had the same problem: little flavor and no special preparation. All in all, we give the food a 6.5/10 and the service a 4/10. Despite the discount offered, the overall experience was not positive. Not a second time for us.

Absolutely delicious and amazing for my macro goals - all their nutritional info is available online and their selection is super healthy. I had the chicken summer rolls and the chargrilled pork rice bowl. Leo also took great care of us and made our first visit extra special. This will definitely be our go-to place for takeout going forward (sorry Wagamama!).

I’m very disappointed with this restaurant’s approach towards delivery drivers/riders. They don’t allow drivers inside the restaurant, forcing them to wait outside for long periods just to get any attention. On top of that, it takes at least 10 minutes to reach the restaurant from the parking area, making the process even more inconvenient and time-consuming. This lack of respect and consideration for the riders who work hard to deliver food is unacceptable. It creates unnecessary delays and reflects poorly on their management

The food is great! One of my favourite places in Edi. However, the service is null sometimes I crave Pho and I decide to walk in but I regret wasting my time. you’ll be waiting in the queue for a long time even though they have availability ( clean tables), you’ll be ignored by their staff and you’ll be served with such attitude by the ( new wee girlies). It’s time to look for a better place, good food, and most importantly smiley and welcoming staff.

Popped into Pho for lunch and had a couple of dishes which were delicious and arrived quickly. Josh was our waiter and was attentive and helpful. It’s my first time being there but will definitely return.

Visited Pho twice now and will keeping come back, especially for the pork and lemongrass meatballs. Service is always friendly, shout out Josh for keeping us fed and watered and talking cinema!

I have a dairy and gluten intolerance and I could eat, except for the spring rolls, everything on the menu. And on top of that the Hot&Spicy chicken Pho was delicious!! Izzy (I hope I wrote your name right), one of the kind servers, recommended it and it was the best choice. 100% would recommend and will come back.

Excellent restaurant at more than reasonable prices for the center. The pho soups are excellent. Very good service. Be careful there may be a wait! You have to arrive quite early, book the day before or be patient but it's worth it!

Wow! 1st time here and the food, service and everything was stunning. The staff were attentive and chatty but in a really welcoming way, Eden was our server and I’ve never experienced a staff member who had went out their way to make sure I had the best experience quite like him. We had the steak and garlic pho and it’s was so good and the flavours were so perfectly balanced. My friend I was with had the coconut and pineapple margarita and said it was beautiful and I had the dragonfruit lemonade and that was perfect not too sweet and not too sour just right. Will be back again!

Absolutely amazing Pho. We try to find a pho everywhere we go and it never disappoints. Staff were incredibly friendly and walked us through the menus, and were very informative about allergens at all times. Drinks and food were incredible. We will definitely be coming back.
