Takeaway Kamal - Husband found piece of metal in his curry. Looks like a rivet type screw with circular head, he spat it out but could have ended very badly. No response from restaurant. Health hazard.

Stayed in Littlehampton for a weeks holiday with friends. We spotted Kamal’s (Cinnamon) as we walked by on the Sunday morning, we decided to book in via the website. An evening of delicious food & laughter. There was a special on, a great selection of meals to choose from. We enjoyed the poppadoms & chutneys to start while we chose what to have. I chose onion bahji, chicken tikka masala with mushroom rice, a spicy mushroom side shared with Kerry, along with garlic naan. Wow big portions which we could have shared between 2 So full, we couldn’t manage it all. Kamals do sell soft drinks, however you are able to take alcoholic drinks with you (I checked first by phoning ahead)

I feel sad to write this bad review as actually we’ve had some good curry’s from Kamal however last Thursday we ordered for 2 and when I got the food home, I opened the salad container that came with the Shishlik and to my horror, it was slimy and smelt awful. Clearly rank and off. I photographed it and sent photos to the Kamal. 5 days on they have failed to respond despite my contacting them again yesterday. So I feel I need to warn the public to be careful when eating from this place.

First visit for a few years to find the restaurant called Kamal. The restaurant is light and airy, very pleasant atmosphere. Service and food both very good, actually the best chicken Jalfrazi in a very long time and portion sizes are quite large. Definitely worth a visit but if you enjoy a beer with dinner, remember to take your own.

Ordered online quick & easy website I was charged a delivery fee & packing bag charge it was "free delivery" in my postcode area? but nowhere to adjust this online Arrived on time a little early so all well and good Packed in a lovely carry bag The meals very packed in carboard containers sealed with plastic so if you wanted to warm up or keep and put in oven later (instead of the microwave) you couldn't I had to decant into an ovenproof vessel. I've been having Indian take-ways & meals out in Indian restaurants for the past 50 Years The mains and all sides were just full of salt & tasted terrible The mixed kebab started was so greasy should have come with a green side salad it didn't plus no lemon to squeeze over to Combate the grease The onions bhajis were also oily soft and not cooked in the middle threw theses away! The Nan bread hadn't been cooked enough and was also doughy Portion size and cost were good However....... food was a disappointing Never again will I order

Lovely meal out with friends with outstanding food. We took our own alcohol and had a really enjoyable meal.

We wanted to try this restaurant again as we had come here over a year ago. It was mid week and after 9pm so it was a bit quiet. We ordered some staters including tandoori salmon and a chicken puri both were well cooked and very tasty. The mains included a chicken Jalfrazi and chicken tikka, with rice and naan. All the dishes were well presented and really tasty. The chicken was soft and moist, with a thick rich sauce for the Jalfrazi with fresh chilis to give the added punch. All our dishes we ordered were lovely and to our tastes. I cannot comment on the takeaway but the food and service in the restaurant was superb. We do live out of the area, but if we lived closer, we would be using it on a regular basis. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Always friendly and welcoming and the food is fantastic. We love Indian cuisine and have tried all the local restaurants. We have never had a bad meal at Cinnamon. The staff are always friendly, prices are reasonable, and the food is exquisite. Great with kids and welcoming for families. Highly recommended!

late by 15 minutes to start with, some items already cold had to re heat, gristley lamb in the biriani,, watery madras sauce not much flavour, and for spending £25 i would have thought at least a mango sauce and only one broken pompadom which was soft anyway! tried befour but this is the last time we will use cinnamon,standards have fallen and it was my birthday meal!! thanks(not)

That is THE WORST curry ever. Binned the lot, discusting is an understatement. Stringy fatty meat, no flavour other than salt. Soggy onion bajis and rice. I shouldn't of ordered after nearly sticking to the gunngy carpet and seeing the filthy work tops and tapped up fridge door.

Very poor meal considering how good restaurant and food used to be. Very disappointed with overall food, presentation, service. Looks like they're more interested in deliveries. Even tried a delivery a while ago and it was average, compared to one last year that was superb. Not sure why it's gone downhill when it was so good before. Dry chicken meat, greasy onion bhaji, half cooked doughy naan, tasteless potato dish, no presentation. Rice was OK. Just a shame overall.

We have been using cinnamon restaurant in Littlehampton for years but Easter day we had the most awful meal delivered. The food was well below a reasonable standard and we ended up throwing half of it away. It was over £45 for 4 of us and we purchased 4 popadoms and got 2 extra and the onion salad we purchased was only enough for 2 which we paid for, some of the dishes were like flavoured water. We were so disappointed so we won’t be ordering from them again. It is unlikely we will never eat in the restaurant again after such an awful takeaway. As businesses are now opening after such a long time with Covid restrictions you would have thought they would look after their customers to rebuild their loyalty. Don’t waste your money with a take away from here.

Food was pleasant but was ruined by my perv of a delivery man. I was due change and he aggressively poored my change into my had, in fact as it was so poorly put into my hand a lot of the change fell onto the floor. Instead of picking it up for me he had me bend down to the floor to pick it up. My sister witnessed him cross his arms and take a long look at my behind. Behaviour like this is quite concerning.

We had a takeaway from here a few days ago. The order was obligingly taken, arrived hot, had good portions of meat in the respective dishes and was not oily. The side dishes were delicious, especially the fragrant Tarka Dhal, though this was a little thin in consistency for my taste. We will certainly consider ordering again.

Reasonable food at a fair price, but I cancelled an order due to an incredibly rude waiter.Will find somewhere else in the future.

Cinnamon has, for years, been our go-to restaurant for takeaways and family meals out. We’re hoping, therefore, that today’s poor takeout experience is a temporary blip. The paratha was black. The mango chutney was liquid. The saag paneer was a sickly, sweet coconut mush. The ‘salad’ was limp iceberg and one small slice of tomato. None of the usual mixed leaves, cucumber, red onion, lemon wedge. The bindi bhaji was mainly onion with a small amount of okra. Very disappointing and concerned that standards have slipped.

Well we used to use them regular as an eat in but last cpl times as a takeaway. Last cpl meals were not good so not been for a while tonight for my birthday i decided we would have an indian.cinnamon being my choice(should have thought better really) food ordered and delivered quickly great! Chicken madras watery sauce no flavour at all.wife had lamb passanda which was not bad and sauce had nice texture and flavour.nan bread seems to have shrunk somewhat in size(small) chips £1.95 for a handfull of chips from iceland i would think rubbish bland things. Sauces mango chutney so watered down it was like water yuk yoghurt was ok.salad just bits of onion. Overall £21 wasted really gone downhill now to the point where we are done getting food here now. Such a shame. Sorry its a bit long review should have looked at the last reviews first before wasting over 20 pounds on not a lot. Sorry but goodbye from us.

I've been going to indian restaurants for 30 plus years and this was one of the most disappointing . A polite fellow served us. Poor cooking skills and no depth of flavour. The naga rice was rice with a bit of curry powder and a couple of onion flakes. ... The main was nothing like described and lacking in flavour and this was one of the specialties. . The side dish was the worst version I've had. l. Just a lack of cooking skill and a lack of authentic ingredients. We were hungry and it was edible but not enjoyable just dull and lacking in real flavour . My friends dishes were also of a poor standard. The toilet flusher was a piece of poking out plastic where the button must have broken off creating a further impression of neglect. Needless to say we were disappointed and would not return.

Food was delivered 25minutes early. Only thing that was good was the papadums. The onion salad was all onion and in large chunks, the mango chutney was too runny, yogurt was ok. The peshwari Naan was chewy. Rice was lumpy and cauliflower undercooked and curry bland with no heat. Won’t be ordering here again.

The food here has always been amazing, but tonight so far I have been waiting for 1 hr 50. Mins so far for my food. If my food is cold when/ if it arrives it will be the last time I use them, which is usually very often! Absolutely fuming......

Really disappointed after years of ordering from Cinnamon I’m actually writing a bad review. We ordered our takeaway at 7.08pm told it was a 45mins to an hour wait which we were happy with. Still no food at 8.30pm so I called to find out how much longer, and told the food was with the driver, so again that was ok and we waited. 9pm still no food and called again to be told it’s with the driver? I explained it would be stone cold now? And the person on the phone hung up and are now not answering the phone. Extremely disappointed as we use to use them regularly but seen bad reviews of late on social media etc, but I ignore this as we’ve always been happy but after this and the way the staff hung up that’s me done now as I can handle delays etc but being rude when you ask where your food is and hanging up is not acceptable.

This restaurant does not offer any meals to people with allergies. We asked for glutton free options and was told they did not serve anyone with allergies. So we had to leave Not a good policy in this day and age.

Went to have a booked meal for 4 people on Weds 26th August.Sat down to order and asked about Gluten free menu or suitable for Coeliac.We were told that they don't cater for people with any allergies.This is not a restaurant if they don't cater for people with allergens.VERY VERY POORWe left immediately.

We've been using this place for takeaways for some time and it's usually been very good. This time we ordered prawn biryani which should be rice with prawns, etc and accompanying vegetable sauce. There was no rice and the vegetable sauce had prawns in with some veg including large chunks of uncooked onions - the hard shiny bits just under the skin. Lamb passandra lived up to it's 'mild' title; it was tasteless.

Whilst on holiday we sampled the food at The Cinnamon. My kids had tikka Massala which they said was one of the best tikka massala they have ever had. The menu selection has all the old favourites as well as some unique dishes, I enjoyed mine and so did my husband.

Good FoodRestaurant was empty. COVID-19 measures Poor. No masks in kitchen. Waiters thought it was ok to wear around their necks? My daughter felt ill as a result and her and my wife couldn’t eat because of fear. Night ruined. Get your act together! I wish we had left for fish and chips.

I'm not normally a lover of takeaway food, as it never taste as good as being in the restaurant, but due to the current situation decided to try the Cinnamon.Food was delivered on time with a nice gentleman, the food was piping hot and of the highest standard, will be my restaurant of choice if they keep this standard up.Fantastic meal.

Gone completely downhill - have lost long standing customer. I’ve given previously glowing reviews however my experience with a take away a few days ago prompts this dreadful review. Claggy soggy glued together rice, smashed up popadom, dreadful chicken dhansak - the chicken was tikka chicken that had been chucked in a gravy like runny horrible dhansak style sauce. Even their, normally outstanding, sag paneer was runny and just ‘yucky’. £16 of curry regrettably went in the bin. It was that bad.

Having read the last review I must sadly agree. Having been regular customers here since moving to the area this place at the beginning was very good, even giving a complimentary beer with takeaways that has now stopped and the madras has become absolutely flavourless. We visited for my wife's birthday, a group of six. No one interested in showing us to the table we had booked despite being almost empty on a Saturday nightNot even a complimentary poppadom, drinks way over priced and regularly asked if we wanted more. The meal arrived no one checked if everything was fine. My madras again was basic chicken with tasteless gravy, very similar to a supermarket ready meal.I asked could some ingredients be added? The waiters response was surprisingly I will bring a different dish. After a very short time he returned with a plate of, guess what, basic chicken in a tasteless gravy. I was not asked if this was any better obviously because we both knew it was the same plate returned.I tried to eat a little more but gave up and explained it was just plain tasteless and appeared to be completely lacking ingredients, however it was clear no one could care less, the handful of other diners had left by now and we were made to feel we were keeping them up although it wasn't late.The bill was paid this was very expensive not even a complimentary drink offered.Won't return.

You have to give this 1 star, otherwise you cannot write an article, but it wasn't worth that 1 point.A party of us went here in the week for a birthday. We all had the buffet menu, 1 starter, main, rice, side dish and naan bread, all your choice from the menu. A few of us had the calamari with chilli jam to start. Chilli jam? It was tomato sauce with a little spice in it. Awful! Can't say anymore than that. My wife had the same, and said the same. For the main, I ordered a chicken chilli masala, specifically asking normal chicken, not tikka. It came out with tikka meat. When I said to them about it they took it away, 2 minutes later, brought the same plate back and apologised. I said it was the same plate they denied this. They eventually took it away and brought out a dish which was normal chicken, but, if that was chilli chicken masala, it was the worst one I've had. It was to me more like a Pathia. It was not what I ordered! My wife had a saag paneer as a side dish. It was indescribable! It looked like rancid milk with grass in it, runny and tasted horrible! My tarka dhaal, although tasting fairly good was runny with no body to it. The service wasn't to be desired. Reaching across people while eating, not helpful and as I said, gave me the same plate as the one I sent back in the first place.All in all, I wouldn't have used it as swill!I will not go back there again, unless working for the food standards agency!Absolutely disgusting! The worst curry restaurant I have been to.They serve curry on plate instead of dishes on table.The staff kept hovering over us so miserable and overpriced.

If you love authentic Indian cuisine, then look no further. On arrival we was greeted and sat before we were shortly given poppadoms, the raita was to die for, a pint of cobra for me and a Diet Coke for the wife, being an ex landlord I am very particular about my beers, the lines were spot on, a really nice pint. I ordered the mixed starter, which was amazing, with fantastic presentation. Mushroom rice keema naan and chicken tikka masala, my wife had bhaji, a chicken dish which name escapes me as I haven't seen it before but was covered in a sweet chilli and shared my rice as we know the portion sizes are plenty big enough. My wife asked for no coriander and they checked if it was ok on my plate in case of allergens, the food was just sublime, as was the service. It all cost just over £40, they even offered us complimentary drinks. All I can say is give them a try, it is honestly amazing food and so cheap.

This food is really the best Indian I have ever tasted and that is saying a lot - and to find something of such high quality in a small seaside town was a miracle- I hope the Littlehampton locals know what a treasure they have in their town.

We went for the Wed night buffet, it was amazing value. The Food was delicious and plenty of it. The staff were very attentive and friendly Definatly recommend this restaurant.

Always worry when using a takeaway when when you have a regular one you use but find it closed for the night. All I can say is this Indian was excellent, three diners really chuffed. Not one bad curry and an excellent service with quick delivery. 5 stars, definitely use again

I went with 2 other people and we all enjoyed our meals. We chose from their 'specials' and the dishes were attractively presented as well as being very tasty. We'd ordered much too much for us to eat, so they happily put the rest in a container for our dinner the next day.

Visited the Cinnamon Restaurant on the 9th of August 2019 ! There were 6 of us and all of us have been before and had an excellent meal, but alas this time none of us could say the same !!

We never tire of visiting this amazing restaurant - friendly staff, delicious food, spotlessly clean and very reasonable prices. The Wednesday night banquet offer is outstanding value. I love the place!

Cinamon was recommended to us by the campsite and we weren't disappointed the food was fantastic the waiter was on the ball with drinks and keeping us happy well done and thank you !! 10 out of 10

Service was excellent and welcoming, the food was hot, but not much more than meat and vegetables in a sauce, nothing more nothing less, price wise good value, but not really authentic, another Indian that just caters for the English as do so many.

Fabulous meal no fault at all... very friendly staff, clean and nothing too much trouble... highly recommend a visit I will definitely be returning.... thank you to all at Cinnamon!

Not been here for a few years, so time to go back. We picked Wednesday, as it is a special set menu. for £12.95 you can have any starter of the menu, any main, any side dish, any rice dish, and a nan bread. Great value. As always, it was well worth it. We took home what we did not eat, and that was tea the next day. We all enjoyed the dishes we chose, and glad to see the Cinnamon has not dropped it's standards.

The cinnamon has a wide choice on the menu normal and specials.Never had a bad meal although when they're very busy it can be a bit slow getting your meals.

We were 12 people the table has been booked days before they still manage to serve the starter for 3 of us before taking any other order from us and is very expensif for just an indian Never again

Both felt cold tired and weak really didn't feel like cooking. Then it started snowing. We ordered. I had basic vindaloo and boiled rice. Heart warming spicy soothing just what the Dr ordered 😋😋 yum

My husband and I decided to visit the Cinnamon last evening. What a great idea it turned out to be. The food was divine, the waiters, Hoq and Ali were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing with soft music in the background. Just what we needed after a hard week at work. We will definitely be back soon, and I'm happy to recommend the Cinnamon to anyone who would like a lovely curry with great service at a reasonable price. Thank you Hoq and Ali for making our evening so amazing.

This food restaurant is so nice place to eat service was pleasing polite very clean toilets washroom for lady's food was lovely and wide variety of drink nice place to take children whole family they look after you such a lovely restaurant would recommend.

We visited Cinnamon for the first time on Friday evening quite by accident and I can honestly say it was a great accidental find as we found the food to be delicious and the service from Hoc an absolute delight and my grandchildren really enjoyed themselves. A big thank you too to the Chefs who produce such tasty food and a big thank you and Merry Christmas to all at Cinnamon and we will be back.

Came here with the family and the food was perfect, full of flavour and the service was just fantastic and the children really enjoyed their food as did we, will defiantly be coming back !

Had a chicken madras takeaway, quite small, very mild, hardly any sauce so quite dry and for some reason a huge amount of onions. Should have been called an Onion Madras really!

Originally, from experiences of one-two years ago, I reported that both eat-in and takeaway food was exceptionally good. However, in recent months I've found it poor. I ate in in the restaurant in October and had takeaway in December. On both occasions I had Jal Jal Balti, and the main problem was that the chicken is not tender - horrible texture, tough in fact. I hate writing a bad review because we had previously been so impressed and the staff had been so engaging and wanting to please. But after tonight we won't be going back. Sorry Cinnamon.

When we entered the place we thought we had made a mistake. Dated decor & tatty menues on the table!!! We had to request the waiting staff a couple of times that we were not ready to order as yet! It was a weekday and only two tables full of customers so we did not understand what the rush was! We just wanted to enjoy our drink and gradually go for food.

curry was top drawer,but staff very slow to take orders for next course.also when our order was taken it was ages before it was served.

We have just had the best meal ever. Cannot praise the service and quality of the food enough. Really don't think we have had a better experience in an Indian restaurant than this. Highly recommended.

Craaaaaazy good. My fiancé loves Cinnamon its his favourite. But lately I had become a bit dissatisfied. Vindaloo used to be too much cardamom etc. Not any more. Today was the BEST best vindaloo they've ever made and that I've ever eaten. So much sauce and it was more tomatoey. It was like mixing a Rogan and a vindaloo. It arrived in about 15 minutes too. Piping hot and cooked to perfection. My garlic naan was beautiful an saturated in garlic butter but still firm. I would eat it again and again. If I could have ordered it for breakfast today I would have.

We went here on a sunday night. We were the only people in the restaurant but it was excellent, one of the best curries we have had. The toilets were the best i've seen in a curry house.

Honestly? The best take away curry I have had in years! Not a single complaint about any of the food, pipping hot and delivered very quickly. Lovely chunks of meat, amazing flavours. Will definitely order again. Only knocking one star off because the price the driver asked for was more than what we had all calculated (twice) I didn't make a fuss this time as we were too hungry to stand there and go through all the items on the menu to prove this... we let the involuntary tip go :)

Turned up with out booking. Was seated very quickly after a shuffle around. Lovely food. Really tasty. Friendly staff.

Arrived on a Sunday night and the restaurant was very quiet. Just one other table occupied. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Skipped starters and our mains included chicken coriamder, biriyani and chicken chom chom. The food tasted very fresh and was of a high standard and plentiful. The evening was completed with a complementary drink. Good dining experience and will return.

Has seen reviews were good so thought we would try it. Homemade pickle was fantastic, but let down by the huge amount of ghee/fat floating on the main course dishes. Service was friendly and not hurried, shame about the meal.

Food here is priced higher than most but it’s really nice and the staff are friendly. Each time we have been they have given us free drinks before we leave. It’s in town so easy to walk to the pubs after your meal.

I eat out for work many times a week all over the country. I’m a real foodie. We just moved to Littlehampton and people of Worthing and Brighton they have to try way harder for your business, it’s the only explanation for the exceptional food quality. This is a GEM. Delicious, fresh food, with flavours that are individual and pop in your mouth. When the first half of the menu is vegetarian and authentic, you know this is a confident restaurant. Highly recommended Biryani.

Interesting Menu, food is well presented and tastes good. Service is polite and relaxed. Usually easy to park in the street close to the entrance. It is probably the better of the Indian restaurants and takeaways in the local area.

We enjoyed our meal in nice surroundings, with very pleasant staff.

This was our first trip to the cinnamon and we were not disappointed. The Waitrose was very friendly and attentive. The food was hot and delicious. We were offered free coffee at the end of the meal. A most enjoyable time with the final bill being reasonable for the amount of food we had. Will definitely be returning

A warm welcome and good service.

Visited for a large family birthday celebration. Greeted warmly by staff who provided excellent service throughout the evening. Food was excellent, beautifully presented and served promptly. This is our favourite Indian restaurant by a mile.

Took advantage of their Wednesday night offer (good value) with a party of 10 friends and wished we hadn't! Apart from 2 other people who arrived much later on we were the only ones in there. All of us had used the restaurant before and not had cause for complaint. Not so on this occasion. Several of the starters had to be returned (mainly the mixed kebabs) as they did not 'taste right'. The main courses were just not up to scratch especially the Dhansak. Really disappointing. When paying at the end service was not added to the bill so we went to tip the staff in cash only to learn from both of them that they apparently do not see any of the gratuities as it goes straight to the owners. Naturally we did not leave a tip and, based on our experience that evening, will not be back. Spoke with other people we know who have had a similiar experience recently. Shame, real shame!

As our night team came to an end at Tescos Littlehampton last night marking the end of an era for most of us ,we decided on ending our last shift with a meal .Cinnamon was chosen and as we needed it as late as possible , the polite staff accommodated to our needs.With a large order that was spot on and all present and correct showing real professionalism ! Our last supper went without a hitch.The food was enjoyed by all with the portions even proving a challenge for the male appetite.So a BigThankyou to all the staff involved absolutely SUPERB!!!!

We went here as it was near to where we were staying. We had not booked but they found us a table. The house red wine was very nice. There was quite a wait for our mains but this hopefully meant that it was being cooked from fresh. As the place got busier the service became slower and we had to ask several times for some water. When the food came it was lovely, great flavours and very large plate fulls Would go there again if in Littlehampton.

My friend Patsy and I regularly go to the Cinnamon. The servic is always attentive polite and professional.....we love it there! The food is some of the best in the area and is well worth a visit! If you like Indian food give them a go!

Had a few pints yesterday whilst walking my dog and fancied an indian, so i went to India Gate in Arundel, to order food and get it delivered whilst i walked home from town with my dog, for what ever reason they dont delivery, so i look at good old trusty trip advisor to find a local alternative that delivers to Arundel. Cinnamon was top of the list and India Gate was 13, i was very surprised as india gate is very nice, i called Cinnamon and placed my order, the staff were very informative and talked me through subtle differences in their menu, i ordered chicken tikka masalla garlic and mushroom fried rice Keema naan, chicken shashlik, onion bhaji, garlic naan, chips, popadoms, And chutneys, it came to just over 25 quid ! It was 12 cheaper than india gate and delivered too. On arrival about 35 mins later there was a knock at the door with my food, portion sizes were very big, and the food was fantastic the masala was top notch ad rivalled any ive had, the naan were delicious and fluffy, shashlik was amazing and enormous. Due to the price India gate was a once in a while treat, but as Cinnamon was so cheap i will use a lot more, excellent food and incredible value for money.

The food was very tasty, was very pleased with the meal. Probably the best Garlic naan I've had! Not in the best location but the food made up for it.

We went to Cinnamon for the first time last night and had a lovely meal. The service was fantastic, good value, goo wine choices, great quality meats and fantastic flavours. All boxes ticked.
