A little hidden gem. Some unique dishes on menu. Friendly service and restaurant quality food from a place that is take away only. Superb food and value.

Absolute perfection evetime here as the food is perfect, spotless surroundings and friendly customer service at all times.

Had tried the other Indian takeaways in Ludlow where we holiday regularly. Decided to walk to Chutneys on the edge of town as it was a fine evening. Immediately impressed by the the clean interior and I sat in after I placed my order on a large leather settee. I was not disappointed I had the chicken khushboo which was unusually spiced and beautifully tender. My wife had a chicken korma. Along with Peshawari naan we both agreed it was possibly the best Indian we had ever had. Everything was full of flavour and great value. Don’t think we’ll go anywhere else now.

What a little gem of an Indian. All of there specials are fantastic. Delivered to a remote location 5 miles away and food all piping hot and labelled. Well done great food.

Very slow delivery for a medium sized early delivery was very disappointing. Food was good but not amazing. Menu did offer something a bit different to the usual curry we have so for that reason we would order again, we will just remember to allow over an hour for it to be delivered. Also a bit strange not be able to pay with card over the phone these days.

Well cooked food with little oil. Order was ready at the time stated and the quality was fantastic. Will return without hesitation

My first time and was not disappointed the chicken tika was very good as was the curry and it was all very reasonably priced . We had no menu so ordered on the phone asking recommendations and all turned out well. I explained the importance of having our meal ready on time and it was so thank you and compliments to the chef we will return

Being a loyal customer obviously doesn't get you anywhere! Myself and my partner have been going to this take away for over 4 years and mostly don't have a problem; however this evening, I arrived to collect my take away to see a saucepan of food sitting on newspaper on the floor! The chips were bruised and sadly really soft and cold! Expecting to travel out of town, we know the food won't be as good as it would be if plated straight away however, we don't expect to have stone cold chicken in sauce I could apply to wallpaper without any worries of it peeling for over a century! After spending god knows how much in this take out for so many years, at £24 ish a pop! It's a disgrace! Safe to say it's in the bin and I will not be returning again.

£27.00 for a take away for two so not a cheap eat, sadly the vast majority of the food went straight in the bin..... We certainly wont be returning!

We had a large order of 10 to place, so knowing how busy it gets on Sat night, I rang the order through at 6.30pm - and was told '45mins to an hour'. Absolutely fine. And the value of the order was over £120..so not a small order. Nothing had arrived by 7.40pm, so I rang and politely asked how they were doing on our order. I was told the delivery driver was 'on his way'. Nothing arrived so at 8.10pm, and with some hungry guests now, I rang again. I was told the driver was 'just about to leave'. Er hang on, I was told he'd left 30 mins ago! At 8.55pm - now almost TWO AND HALF HOURS after placing order, I rang again and we were told our order was next to go out. Something doesn't ring true does it? At 9.20pm, I rang again. I was told the driver was on his way. I asked why this had happened and was told 'well we are very busy on Saturday nights'. Which is why I rang the order through at 6.30pm!!.....when most take-aways aren't busy and so giving them plenty of time. We were told we would be given a discount due to the terrible service. Driver did turn up when I was on this call, so just shy of a THREE HOUR WAIT. Driver asked for the full amount, so no discount had been applied. Salt in the wound! To his credit he rang through and they applied a paltry 10% discount. To be fair, the food was hot and it was fine...if a little greasy for my liking, but that is personal taste. But of course by this time, I wasn't hungry due to the upset and most of my guests had gone past the point of being hungry. So what went from a 'about 45 mins to an hour' was tripled. Even 2 hours would have been just about OK....if only Chutneys had been honest about their timing at point of order. This is the 2nd time we have used Chutneys, and the first time, we waited over 90 mins...so clearly this is not unusual. Sadly, one of our party guests recommended Chutneys, so imagine how embarrassed they felt! There are other much better Indian take-aways in the town, recommend you try them IMHO. Utterly dreadful experience, and we of course will never be using Chutneys ever again :-0

Good food but the speed and prioritising is awful. 2 weeks ago Rung up for a curry..and was told it would be 30 mins. Entered the shop 30 minutes later and watched 3 people served. Another couple then entered and ordered £30 worth and sat down. 10 minutes later their order was made...I was still waiting. Last night rung up for a curry. Told it would be 40 minutes. 40 minutes later entered the shop...and waited a further 25 minutes. HOPELESS

My daughter lives local so we have an Indian from here every couple of months or so and it's always been lovely. I ordered one tonight and while waiting for it I saw the chef taking meat off a skewer and put it into a frying pan using a dirty brown cloth. I've never felt so ill knowing that I was about to consume something cooked by that man. Did he do the same to my meat?? After that I had to look somewhere and else and noticed that the food hygiene rating was 5 but was from 2011. This should be carried out every year and displayed, in fact it's the law, but they have failed to do this for the last 6 years, so what is their food hygiene rating?? Needless to say I won't be eating here again!!

This is one of our first choices whenever the words India Takeaway is uttered. The staff are always welcoming and friendly, and the wait is what id consider reasonable especially as the food is cooked fresh to order. I always have the same dish (chicken tikka main) and I can say that my dish is always great! I have recently been expanding my menu, and have found that whatever dish I choose I am always satisfied with the quality of the food.

Great menu, with a range of their own specials. Every dish prepared and cooked on site. Take away only. But it's excellent food.

I have had food from this outlet on a number of occasions. The staff are always very welcoming and pleasant. The service is prompt and the food is always very good.

We ordered a chicken tikka masala and a chicken korma. When it was delivered it turned out the korma was lamb and prawn, I rang to complain and was told the correct curry could be delivered but not for half an hour, so we shared the chicken tikka but with only 6 bits of Chicken that were very dry it was a thoroughly rubbishy takeaway. Won't be going back.

Servicio eficiente, cortés y algunos de la comida de mejor calidad que he tenido en mucho tiempo. No había probado el lugar para unos cuantos años, cuando era bastante básico y aburrido. No nos dimos cuenta de lo mucho que ha cambiado. Sin duda volveremos pronto!

Increíble! Estado en este sitio muchas veces, la comida es genial, muy sabrosa y auténtica. Notamos que están aquí, así que decidí que le dedique unos cuantos minutos a escribir una crítica para ellos, ya que sin duda merece. El personal es siempre muy educado y amable. Pueden ser muy concurrido, especialmente el sábado por la noche, el tiempo de espera puede ser alrededor de una hora para recoger, pero son sin duda vale la pena la espera. También son de 5 estrellas clasificado por los inspectores de salud ambiental, así que puedes estar seguro que son muy limpio e higiénico y con ingredientes frescos. Muy bien hecho a todos en chutneys, orgullosos de comida para llevar, con normas como esta en Ludlow.

Me and my boyfriend live locally so we always pop in to get a takeaway. The food is always good and hot. I would advise to call to place an order otherwise you will have to wait 30 minutes, however at least you know the food is cooked fresh. Good menu choice and would recommend

Always my first stop for a takeaway. Lovely tandoori mixed grill. Love the onion salad. Cooked fresh so I don't mind waiting 30mins. Staff are friendly

Food is nice no complaints there and the price is reasonable. However, the staff are not friendly and your food will be 20mins later than you are told. I have been here 4/5 times and every time I am kept waiting. I will try again and I hope it has been sorted.

Had good curries from here, and have also had bad one's with too much onion and pepper placed. Have also taken a long time to cook them sometimes as well. But more often than not, there good than bad.

We went into order a takeaway as it is not a restaurant, We went up to the counter and said hello to the lad behind the counter where he said hello to me but not my girlfriend, when it came to ordering my girlfriend tried ordering but he wound't take the order of her so I had to order for us. When it came to paying for the takeaway my girlfriend went to give him the money he wound't accept it until she put it down on the counter and then he gave the change to me not her. The food was okay but a few items were missing from the order. The sauces were nice and the curry's were okay. Overall a really bad experience.

We had a takaway from here, since its not a restaurant just takeaway. It was pretty bad, the sauces all tasted the same. My partner loves curries, and can cook a decent one, and I've never seen him turn his nose up to anything, but even he didn't fiinish this one, and it got thrown away. Maybe its we are used to better, but this was not good.

I'm sure the food's lovely, but my colleague and I picked this place from Tripadvisor to eat one evening while staying nearby, on the strength of it being described as a restaurant, and when we got there it's just a takeaway. Gutted.

We ordered a takeaway from there last sat because we were staying at a hotel near by. The service was very prompt but food it's self was of very poor standard, the chicken was over cooked and there was no taste. It has to be the worst meal we ever had in Ludlow. We won't be going there again.

Lovely fresh cooked food friendly staff. . But please make the onion salad like it used to be dint like it the way it is now.

Our first visit to Chutneys and we will be back. The food was excellent , the staff pleasant, the menu offered a wide variety of dishes and the waiting and ordering area was bright, fresh and very clean. The 5 Score on the Doors seemed well deserved here.

We had a take away from here as we were staying at a local caravan site, was told 40 mins and it was 40 mins so great start, all hot and we could tell it was all freshly cooked, husband had a very hot curry, me and two kids had mild curries, all excellent, kept the menu as we will be returning!!

Great curry plus bonus of online menu for when you misplace the paper menu ! We tend to order mild/medium curries and have tried a few specialities and have enjoyed them all! The first Indian to have the initiative in Ludlow to offer delivery ! Just what you want on a Saturday evening when you don't fancy cooking and want to enjoy a glass of wine and takeaway !

A fantastic little take away which I found around 3 months ago. Overall good value, great food, and speedy service.

Always good value well prepared meals which have led to us rediscovering the art of staying in, easy parking and best of all the time for collection rarely involves more than a couple of minutes to wait.

The title says it all but yes , great service , amazing food and simply well worth the visit time and time again.We recommend Chutneys to anyone 100% . Thanks again , MaxsoundCarAudio Uk

Was fortunate to win a meal for one,with our local radio station,Sunshine Radio.Service was friendly and the meal was delicious with ample for two.
