Food at the Dirtee Beast restaurant is awesome. Pub has a very good atmosphere with Stuart the landlord leading the way.

Came for Sunday roast . Not as expected. Food served on a plastic tray type plate. Although plenty of food. It was bland and Luke warm . Not very tasty. Disappointed as it was for a special occasion. The service was good . Shame about the food .

Friendly staff & a wide choice of decent traditional English ales in a very dog friendly pub, (just what the doctor ordered 😀) Pool table & Dartboard in dedicated space away from the bar, (so no jostled elbows) Live Music 😀🎶🎸🕺🎶😎 every Sunday evening, & maybe more, quiz night is Monday from 7pm I recommended this pub a while ago now, & I still do so today 👍👍👍

Haven't been for many years and was really looking forward to returning. Unfortunately it was very disappointing 😔 The customer service was poor and the bar staff didn't listen to our orders correctly resulting in wrong drinks on several occasions, they also lacked friendliness and didn't smile, it felt like an inconvenience to ask for a drink. The prices were beyond our range, and just overall a poor experience.

We booked a meal for a family reunion of 28 people. Dean sent menus so that people could choose from 3 menu options. Lisa, front of house manager, was welcoming and really considerate. Staff were efficient. Food was excellent - compliments to the chef! (Many positive comments were made from all age groups.) Highly recommend a visit.

Well where do I start? So me and my mum decide to go for mother and daughter day? Lunch was really looking forward to a nice roast dinner booked in at the Churchill Tavern in Ramsgate so as we got there we got seated was shown the starboard which I thought bit of a strange starter for a roast Sunday so I went with the deep fibre with rocket and my mum went for the garlic bruschetta so the bruschetta got delivered with a lump of potato on top obviously wasn’t meant to be there and was put on there or it just landed on it. My bree come out with a little bit of rocket, chocolate to accompany it with some pickled onion so then I asked for some form of chutney to go with the And got given PICKEL Lilly so then the main will come out we both ordered a roast beef roast beef come out it was swamp and you could only swamp water it was some form of meat juice in oil with the potatoes soggy and soaked in this with overcooked peas the raw cooked one carrot and this is Veg a roast dinner and grated parsnip so then I had cauliflower cheese. Well not quite sure what happened there? There was no cheese. The cauliflower was quite hard and just had like poured cream on the top the Yorkshire pudding was burnt and more like Beth is stuffed with a badly cooked stuffing bowl so I’ve sent the food back and did not eat any of it as physically made us feel sick. Overall experience was very upsetting and we come away hungry cannot fault the waitress staff I felt bad for them to have to receive such a bad report , hats off to the waitressing staff but to the Headchef and the kitchen Team well have you ever cooked before?

At last a restaurant that really accommodates vegetarians. A roast dinner with a delicious plant based alternative, made, created and cooked by the chef. The whole meal was delicious, roast vegetables, Yorkshire pudding all the trimmings. But for a vegetarian who normally has a choice between nuts, mushrooms or stuffed peppers the real joy was the meat alternative. The customer service was excellent, friendly, polite, professional staff. We were served by Haley who was extremely good and who also informed us that the summer menu was also going to include plant based alternatives and meat free options. The venue is bright, clean, with a traditional feel, and a warm inviting welcoming atmosphere. It caters for all, from families to the young according to what is booked on the day or evening. Whether you are dropping in for a refreshing beverage, a delicious meal or an evening of entertainment, Churchill Tavern is defiantly a place to visit while visiting or living in Ramsgate.

We ordered the food challenge, although there was 4 of us...... apparently we were the first to order it, we won't be the last, it was delicious!!!!!

Sunday Roast amazing as usual! Roast potatoes are the best! My partner was disappointed as there wasn’t apple pie on the menu as it’s his favourite ,but the lovely Waitress managed to find some he was well happy😃

We were visiting from London, got here for a Sunday roast, we didn't book bower we had the best table on the house at the he bar by the fire place, the service was very good the barman, top guy as well all the waiters that looked after us. If you want to relax while having a bite or a drink in Ramsgate, that's the place you need to be.

Went for sunday lunch for the first time today. Food good, and a good competitive price. There were other options available if you didnt want a roast. 2 course & 3 course price option on roasts too. I enjoyed my lunch and will go back due to nice food, price, location, great sea view, dog friendly and nice service. I've had better roasts but they cost more and arent as friendly. We booked for 1:30 and it was quite quiet, but had filled out out by the time we left.

Great pub to visit, they had live music on the evening I visited and the band were excellent, I was genuinely impressed. Great variety of pub drinks available. Tables available and menu looked great. Would recommend a visit

My wife and I were keen to try the Sunday roast here yesterday. Upon arrival we were informed there was a rather long delay in food leaving the kitchen. We said we'd stay and try it. We both opted for Lamb, mine with the additional 'slow cooked' cauliflower cheese. After the expected delay, in which complimentary bread was brought to the table by way of apology, our meals arrived. We are sad to say the food was underwhelming. 'Seasonal vegetables' were half a carrot, half a parsnip and 3 small roast potatoes. A bowl of lukewarm peas were also brought out. A small, lukewarm Yorkshire pudding was also served. We spent a few minutes trying to get the attention of the waiting staff, (who looked flustered and overwhelmed) to ask for the 'unlimited red wine gravy' and some mint sauce. The cauliflower cheese was certainly not slow cooked. A little tepid and undercooked, sadly. Certainly not worth £2 extra. Regrettably the lamb was cold and chewey. We felt really sorry for the waiting staff, who were clearly let down by the kitchen on this occasion. Sad to say we will not return, but we'll try somewhere else next time.

Last night I went to a Christmas do, and had food, I had brown chicken stew, potatoes were to big, served with chips and bread, today do not feel well at all, my friend had chicken liquini and didn't enjoy as was cold ,we paid £ 30, and wasn't worth the price,

Had lunch with friends yesterday,food was great and we were served by a great team,the young man on his first day was a credit to the Pub

They put a lot of effort in the 50th Anniversary which deserves a 5 star 🌟 review. 😇

Let the fun be gin. There is the best fish and chips in town with lots of variations. The fries were perfect and the fish as well.

Attend most Monday evenings for the quiz. Excellent quiz master, questions are harder than your average pub quiz. Prices in line with most other pubs. A good selection of guest beers etc

Dirtee Feast provided a buffet for a 40th birthday celebration there was great communication during the planning stage and on the day the food was terrific everyone enjoyed it the staff were efficient and helpful

My first visit to Ramsgate and ended up at The Churchill the night Penny Spent were performing. Thoroughly enjoyed the night there.

We have eaten here before on the first night they opened and food was good tonight my wife order a starter nachos this was served with tinned tomatoes and so salty could not eat it. I said it was not good and the server said I will get you someone to speak too you what was the point and they still charged full price we will not be coming back.

My friends and I attended today for a Sunday roast and were really disappointed. Service was slow, starters were cold, and the yorkie wraps were disappointing. No Stuffing available and just really poor overall. It took 2.5 hours to do 2 course. We spoke to the manager who was very pleasant and deducted money off our bill but none of us will be in a rush to return.

Absolutely the worst roast dinner ever. Overcooked vegetables, tasteless and the beef cut incorrectly, very tough,inedible.

Used to be a good food and music venue - now showing signs of wear and tear and lacklustre management! No restaurant menu anymore, no tables and chairs anymore outdoors even on hot days and not an ashtray to be found anywhere! Needs improvement!

Visited twice in one week whilst on holiday as a large group with small children. Staff were great and friendly and very accommodating of the children. Food was amazing especially the burgers! Would recommend!

Had a 50th birthday party there for my sister, The function room was amazing, with a bar,and a place for either dj or enough room for band . Drinks was a good price , landlord was very accomidating to our needs , and bar staff were fantastic, great atmosphere too thank you

Lovely local pub with surprisingly good view from the upper conservatory room. Great local live bands at weekends and a new franchise has taken iver the restaurant who specialises in great burgers. Very popular quiz night held every Monday. Worth a visit. Popular with locals.

The food took a while to come out and came in dribs and drabs but was nice when it came. Jas was amazing and did everything she could to cater to us and was extremely apologetic about the food being late.

Got a bit pricy in recent years. But still excellent.

I like this pub for a few reasons.... The beer is excellent - they always serve a fantastic pint in here. Nice rotation of guest ales too! The decor is nice and rustic. Plenty of natural wood and brick on show and a really generous fire place in the winter. Very cosey. Lastly, this pub has some great views out over the harbour and into the sun. Especially later in the day just before the sun goes down. On the downside there is no immediate parking outside, there is no outside area to enjoy and it can sometimes be a bit quiet in here although I've only been during the afternoons ☝️😎 All in all a very good pub that I could easily spend hours in. God save the king !!

Great pub for live bands. I visited 4 times in the four months and have enjoyed each visit. From bands like Black Roze playing their own songs to cover bands like The Moles and Ozzies Uglies playing some great songs from the past. Each time, the staff have been friendly and professional. This, along with the customers, creates a great atmosphere

Fantastic live band great atmosphere

Three of us went along for the pub quiz last night and had a fantastic time. Highly recommend this pub for their weekly quiz nights. Good range of regularly changing cask ales to satisfy the real ale drinkers.

Went for Sunday Lunch and had a nice Roast Beef, with an impressive amount of vegetables. One course is £12.95 which was good value for money. Will be back.

A group of us, family and friends, went to have a couple of drinks and to play boardgames. We had a fantastic time, it is lovely and cozy with a warm atmosphere. There is an event space downstairs and there was a wedding reception on the evening we visited, but it did not at all interfere with our evening. This pub has a few of out of the way areas that provide cosy privacy for groups to enjoy. You can book these in advance or chance your luck. There is frequent live entertainment that I have been told is really good. We only visited the tavern side and did not venture into the restaurant area or order any food, so I dare not comment on that. Would recommend the Churchill Tavern.

Fabulous place to spend an evening home cooked food to a high standard excellent selection of wine and bees . Right near Ramsgate Harbour . Idyllic.

Haven't eaten here but been for nights out. Always have good bands on, the staff are great and the drink prices are good.

Had a lovely meal here today and the staff was the cherry on top for us, the homemade brisket burger was perfectly cooked and juicy and you could tell also the batter for the fish was made fresh because of the colour and crispness of the batter, but as leaving met chefs (Gary & Dan) lovely guys and obviously have passion for what they do producing food that good !!

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious meal at the Seasides restaurant (inside the Churchill Tavern) last night. There's a new chef here with a new menu and it didn't disappoint. For mains I had chicken supreme and my husband had the brisket beefburger - both delicious. The service was excellent. There is always a relaxed atmosphere at Churchills and the staff friendly and welcoming.

Great cozy pub near the seaside of Ramsgate. They're are dog friendly so bring them in!

Great selection of real ales, I loved the open fire, and very accommodating to all needs, unfortunately there is no access for wheelchair users, which is a shame as they are missing a huge opportunity to expand trade Will gladly give 5 stars if facilities improve

1st time in here for 4yrs or so, booked a table and WOW, we had king prawns to start,mi wife had lasagne n I had surf n turf,mi steak was perfect n the onion rings were like I've never had before😘,if I had 1 thing to moan about my surf was scampi n I was expecting a bit of crab/lobster,but apart from that,staff were great the young lad was very polite n tended to us,definitely go back,

Quirky dog friendly with ample seating over several levels, some with views of the harbour. We came for Sunday lunch, not the best we’ve had but far from the worst. Beef was chewy and meat could possibly be bought in ready sliced, gravy far to salty. Veg perfectly cooked, and the jam rollyPolly was amazing. friendly staff, at the time of visiting £11.95 for one course and £16.95 for two

First time in a very long time, think it might have been the Van Gogh pub back then... very charming local boozer with very welcoming staff...

Sitting here after enjoying a fabulous steak. Had a few in Ramsgate and this is the best yet. Awesome meal. Lovely attentive, friendly service I highly recommend a visit. The pub has a good selection of beers and wines as well.

Discovered this pub on Saturday while looking for a place to eat. Myself and my 2 small children Really glad we found it. Lovely friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating We each had a nice meal. Children's meals were quite large. I had the skate. It was lovely. We decided to come back the next day for the Sunday dinner menu. It was lovely. Will visit again. Fab staff fab food. And a band were playing on the Sunday so we really enjoyed visiting The Churchill Tavern Fabulous atmosphere and friendly locals too. Recommend

My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat at lunchtime in Ramsgate and decided to visit The Churchill Tavern. We knew it very well for the fantastic live music that landlord Stuart puts on, but hadn't tried Seasides Restaurant at the pub. We're so glad we ate there as the food was brilliant! Chef Ian and Restaurant Manager Lorraine do a fantastic job and sitting in the upper part of the pub overlooking the sea was great. A really nice way to spend a lunchtime, we will definitely return!

Food was outstanding quality and great value. We were sat in a comfortable setting with a great view and pleasant relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely eat here again. It’s extremely convenient as I often visit the pub for live musical entertainment.
