We reviewed the farm and animals, but a special mention for the cafe. Clean, friendly, good value and spacious. Brilliant thanks.

Went with my 85 year old mum for tea and cake, and to see if the farm had changed much since my children went there for what seemed like every weekend when they were young. We found out when we got there we had to sit at one of two tables in the staff car park/drop off area as we weren’t visiting the farm(you used to be able to sit in the cafe, but covid I guess has changed all this). Asking to sit at a table from where you could see the farm was met with zero understanding- my mum wasn’t about to start jumping on the trampolines or climbing frame!! Nice cake but hopefully this will revert to normal one day.

For a farm park this cafe is really good and you can eat here without paying to get in the park. The food is well cooked and a very comprehensive menu for a tea room.

Ordered a cheese and chive drop scone to have with coffee before we started our look around the farm. The scne was fine but my flat white was a mug of hot milk with hardly any coffee taste. Same with my friend's americano, tasteless hot water. The mugs are too big and coffee too weak. I should have rectified at the time but thought the days of big mugs of flavourless coffee drinks were over.

This is the tea room only review as the farm gets a 5 star! I would love to be able to write a sparkling review but unfortunately i think theres been serious under planning and expectation on numbers of visitors in the half term!! We tried 4 times to get a coffee over a 3 hour period and not once were we willing to queue out the door! Why on earth the outside window isnt open for coffee and snacks on a dry day i can only say is poor planning! There were lots of people not bothering and a massive wasted opportunity on adult coffee sales! We cut our day short to get a drink!!! My advice is TAKE A FLASK! I know I will if we visit the farm again!

Great place to chill out from being on the farm. can be noisy in the soft play area, but why shouldn't it be.. We only had coffee and cake but it nicely laid out and a great respite on a cold day

There were almost too many tempting cakes and it made it hard to choose. Not much if you are gluten free or coeliac but what was available was clearly marked. Definitely a worthwhile stop off if you are on the A10. Price wasn’t bad but it’s not super cheap either.

Good tea, coffee and cake, worth dropping in just for this, not to mention everything else here - animals, play area, tractor rides, woodland walks etc

We came to the farm and stayed for lunch. Our children had the lunch boxes which they polished off. A little bit expensive for what it was but all very nice. I had a tuna mayo jacket potato and it was perfect! The filling was in a little ramekin on the side which I loved because I hate it when the filling is plonked in top! A delicious side salad with a homemade dressing and homemade coleslaw. It was worth the money and I ate every bite. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. One lady helped me numerous times with high chair and table cleaning and was very sweet. I would eat here again. It was refreshing to see lots of homemade options on the menu.

Lovely place to go for a coffee and catch up. Tea room is clean and great variety on the menu. The most gorgeous cakes to accompany your beverage. Tea room expands into the shop.

We visited with a baby, a high chair was found for us, not a huge selection of food, paninis, rolls, jacket potatoes with a few fillings each, soup, scone and a special dish, children menu also. Selection of homemade cakes which were delicious. Fed 3 adults and a baby for £31 - paninis, drinks and cakes each. Service very efficient and staff very polite. Only downside, no condiments available on the tables/side.

I loved the farm and the indoor play area. What an absolute rip off in respect of the food in the cafeteria though. £5 for half (yes, half) a jacket potato. It was advertised as a small potato. Also ruined by a brick sized slab of butter/margarine. Sent back and duly refunded. My friend was charged £1 for a cheap and nasty buttered baguette of dubious quality and origins. DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU ARE HAPPY TO BE RIPPED OFF! You can take a packed lunch, but unfortunately, you have to eat it outside with the pigs. That's what they think of their customers . I am very happy to pay for decent, quality food, but I expect value for money too.

I know going anywhere in the winter in Norfolk is limiting but taking a grandchild to a farm that 'specialises' in entertainment should provide something more than a few pigs, goats, sheep and lambs etc plus some muddy climbing stuff for the princely sum of about £23 for two adults and a toddler is not good value.

How to Keep Your Little Ones Happy! I took a friend and his 2-year old for an afternoon there and spent about 5 hours until closing. It is a great place for children to visit with lots to see and do. Hugging a sheep, stroking a piglet and jumping on a trampoline and whizzing down a slide were some of the highlights. We were the only ones on the tractor ride and it was informative and fun. The restaurant is good with very yummy cakes. Earlier my partner and I had breakfast there for the Macmillan Coffee Morning. Nice atmosphere and fun. Would recommend if you have children and for anyone who enjoys being up close and personal with some animals. The pig racing is a real laugh!

I visited the farm today for the first time, and was really impressed. I had friends visiting from overseas with two children. One aged five years, and one aged 10 years. There was plenty for them to experience in the countryside. Seeing and petting the animals. Plenty of interesting things to do outside with the ride on tractors, tramlines, sand pit outside and an activities area inside and out. The children and adults really enjoyed the experience.

Today is my daughter's 17th birthday and her requested treat was a trip to Church Farm, a fantastic day out no matter what age you are.Lots of cooing over 2/3 days old lambs and petting of gorgeous piglets. As well as the tractor ride and while I relaxed with a delicious coffee, Kate and her boyfriend enjoyed the yellow walk.A chance to watch and participate in the feeding of the older lambs, before the difficult decision of which homemade cake should we each have a slice of to take home, and great for me to have the option of a gluten free cake, this time chocolate and lime cake, which I can confirm was delicious

Went here beginning of November as they had a members only lunch so we could see their range of Christmas gifts. They have a lovely selection of stocking fillers, Christmas decorationsand luxury items.. Of course I had to buy a few! We had tomato and basin soup, warm baguettes and a Christmas biscuit and coffee and it was delicious. Well worth a visit to see all their Christmas items and have a bite to eat while you are there.

Went here with my friend and my godson as they had a coffee day for the Macmillan nurses. Very good cakes and coffee and it felt good to be donating money to charity. You could also sample some cakes and cookies and vote for your favourite. They also had a raffle and they donated all the money they made in the café that day to the charity , so hopefully they made a good amount.

We had a fantastic day here. Great selection of farm animals and fantastic opportunity for the kids to get up and close in the petting pens. Food was great, yes a little expensive but you get what you pay for. A lot of groups took picnics, this was a great idea and loads of places to set up camp in the grassed play area. The walk in the woods was also good and a great bit of time for the kids to explore. All in all a great day :)

Visited (without children) and cost £7 each - don't mind if this is going to pay for the animals upkeep etc, but there isn't that much to see/do. A few piglets (cute) and quite a few lambs at the moment obviously, very cute, sheep, cows and a couple of horses, but other than that nothing else. Would be very expensive to take children to, a family ticket would wipe out quite a bit of money. Lovely cakes and drinks in the tearoom, but again expensive - you get what you pay for, and they were certainly delicious, however, for a 2 hour visit we spent quite a bit of money.

My two children aged 1 and 3 had a lovely day at Church Farm they particularly enjoyed playing in the huge, undercover sandpit. It was great to see all the piglets and baby lambs, however the bottle feeding could have been better. We had delicious filled rolls from the cafe and the gift shop has a nice selection of reasonably priced items. Highly recommended for a family day out, we hope to visit again later in the year!

Lovely location and super selection of animals. Children liked being able to pet the pigs and goats. Have a disabled son and this is the first time any attraction anywhere has expected me to pay full price for him and me as carer. Was told that if I had booked in advance I would have got a discount - this was not stated on the leaflet or website. Food and drinks expensive (£15 for 4 coffees and 2 kids juices and another £12 for 4 sausage rolls). Tractor ride value for money for £1 head and tractor driver very helpful.

This is a review of the tearooms that are part of the Church Farm attraction.Situated just outside of Downham Market the tearooms and gift shop are free. The farm part charges to enter.I have been on several occasions to eat at the tearooms. They serve a range of typical cafe bites - sandwiches, cakes and drinks. I find the sandwiches tasty and filling and the cakes are good. Service is usually quick even when it is reasonably busy. The tearooms are cosy with fairly well spaced out tables. There is a great indoor play area with comfy sofas and tables so I would particularly recommend it for parents with children. I have not found it to be too overrun with children for those without kids however. They only seem open on odd days in the week and at weekends in the winter so it's worth checking the website for opening times before you go.

I agree with previous review this restaurant has no ambience or atmosphere and I agree is lit like a bright cafeteria. Dimmed lighting and candles on tables would create a more intimate setting. Two young waitresses one was very quiet but pleasant, the other had an unpleasant attitude. Food was very lacking. We had cheese afterwards which was fridge cold-we asked for butter and 2 wrapped pats of butter arrived in the waitress’ hand not in a dish. Wine served in a very water stained glass-clearly no steaming and polishing of glasses here. Told waitress we were not happy she said she would tell her manager, we then went to our room. Breakfast was included in our room rate but we couldn’t face it the next morning, so went elsewhere. On check out we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay-says it all. Lack of management and poor staff training.

I reckon I have eaten at least one portion of moules marinere once a year, for the last 30 years… and yet, tonight’s was the best. My wife who is also a regular eater of mussels agreed with me (which is rare). The sauce was really creamy but the garlic and herb can through, served with fantastic fries and a superb bread.
