Very poor quality. Scampi tasted very unusual. Chips were heavily over salted. Batter on the cod also tasted very unusual.

considering this place is just around the corner from me and it would have taken me less time to walk there. Why didn't I do that? Oh I was busy. Thought at least it would be hot!!! Chips tasted funny and batter on haddock was soggy. Will stick with seashore kitchen next time . It's a lottery ordering from round this area. Why can't it be consistent????

Chips were old ,reheated from lunch time When you spend that amount of money ,u do not expect old food

Poor visit to this chip shop good wasn’t very good and very expensive chips hard fish cake burnt curry sauce tasteless £840 for chips £280 curry sauce £180 fish cake was extortionate he was very rude too won’t be recommending this chip shop 👎🏻

Ordered at 18:55, supposed to arrive by 19:00, finally turned up just gone 20:00. No updates after 19:10 and no answer when calling the shop four times. Will not be ordering from here again.

Poor quality, curry sauce watered down to water consistency. Arrived cold, expect that was because they struggled to find a driver!!

Delicious hot food. It makes such a change for a restaurant to deliver on what they say. So many fish and chip restaurants disapoint but Christys are amazing.

My order was 2 and half hours late.. wasn't the restaurants fault at all... fault through the app. There was no option to cancel, instead just kept changing delivery time on the app.. no online support to sort it. I would have cancelled but never had the option to do so. Food came hot and quality great but unfortunate about the delivery times!

It’s sad that I need to write this review. I had a bad experience some 6 months ago which I put down to a bad day. My in-laws arrived from the US this weekend and wanted traditional fish and chips so after reading the reviews I decided to order dinner via just eat . Frankly it was awful, under cooked fish batter that was like wallpaper paste, chips dried out and a battered sausage that was so over cooked it was splitting ! I tried to contact the establishment but go no answer; then alerted just eat and they wanted photos , receipts etc etc which we had already sent it down the kitchen Maserrator . 50 pounds worth of food that if I was in a restaurant I would refuse to pay for ! Half the cod skin was on the paper. Cold. No bag so everything was mushed/ upside down. Measly “large” portion compared to most places. Took over an hour to get to me.

On the order i got a coke for £2.80 i expected a bottle for that amount but got a can extremely overpriced and will put me off using sgain

Food was missing two sides (mushy peas and curry sauce) when it arrived, and both large cods were actually small, and broken up into several pieces. Very disappointing, considering I have ordered through Christy's many times.

Great food, great service. A little pricey but worth it. Hot on delivery and very good quality. Would be nice to see it a little bit cheaper but still a great experience overall.

For£11. you get Greasy Fish and re-warmed re constituted chips!! Sometimes the Fish is ok but terrible chips all the time! Pity use to be great under old management and it’s a great spot too!

We had two huss and chips and one of the fish was uneatable. If smelt of ammonia and tasted terrible. I had to throw it away. To be honest this is the first meal we have had any complaints about, they have normal been very good.

Large choice of fishes. Big portions of Fish and chips as well. They have lot varieties of fried foods as well.

Chips are always perfect but anything apart from that I wouldn't waist your money on, Burgers are poorly made with a funky taste

Simply put. Go elsewhere- the WORST fish and chips ever. They need to find a new profession. Old oil for sure as the smell and taste was so bad. Drenched in oil. Soggy. And I drove home in 4 minutes from the shop. An Insult to my mouth

Ordered Haddock and chips to be delivered on Friday evening. Was delivered 45 minutes late, was cold and soggy. Apparently a problem with the drivers. We collected a large order the following Saturday for 9 people, 2 fish and chips missed off the order, not very hot and didn't taste very nice. Very disappointing, would not recommend.

Delicious fish. They should though sprinkle the salt before the vinegar to ensure even distribution of the salt . Delicious.

Fantastic fish & chips but the last 3 orders have been wrong so need to be checked prior to leaving venue, having said that I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I visited shop tonight with the current chance of catching Covid in London between one in twenty to thirty.A builder went in there without a mask and was served with a smile, I asked the builder on his way out why he was not masked up, he sais ,” It is what it is “. I told him he was very selfish and he said , “ yes i’m selfish whatever “ When I entered the shop i asked the manager why he had served the man and he laughed saying “ the food is fried , you wont catch covid from it .” Unbelievable! I know pubs and restaurants who have spent thousands on strictly obeying the rules and this owner is lucky to be earning a living whilst others are shut yet he acts like this. It makes me wonder what other hygiene standards he maintains, specially after reading the hairs in the chips reviews. Last time I go there

Cooked to order. Fresh fish but found unpleasant odour probably coming from the oil.

Nice chips. Scampi okay but there was a long black hair in the batter. Wear hair nets, guys. Basic.

I don't have their chips because they put them in polystyrene boxes which make them sweat and go soggy. Had a cheeseburger instead. Not impressed, no onions, no sauce, no real effort. I used to really like the place, but it's not so good now. It's become mediocre like so many others. Somebody please bring back proper fish and chips.

Ordered a takeaway due to the lockdown. The sausages in batter were overcooked, it wasn’t exactly hot when it arrived bearing in mind we only live less than 5 mins away, the cod was dry and the whole thing cost me £50 when there was not £50 worth of food in the portion sizes. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Usually the fish and chips is great . However today I found 2 long hairs bedded in the fish batter . I had to throw it away . Needs stricter worker standards. Should know better when they only have 4 out of 5 stars for hygiene on the door .

The best fish and chips IN THE GALAXY!!! The price is AMAZING the food is AMAZING the staff are Amazing. It is perfect for EVERYONE.The pickles are very juicy and the chips perfectly crispy. It is in a great location to spot cars and is right next a park with a basketball court so you can score some buckets. SWISH BABY!

Really bad. The most oily fish and chips I’ve ever had. What the hell is wrong with that oil too, tasted horrible. We ordered large portions and the chips wouldn’t even make a small at some of the other places we go to! £30 for four portions! Feeling pretty ill right now tbh.

Always had good fresh fish and chips from here. The batter is always crispy and the chips always nice. The portions are large too and you definitely won't be left hungry. Can be a wait particularly Saturday night but it's busy for good reason. If you call and order ahead it can save you some time.

Without doubt, the worst fish and chips I've ever had. The chips smelt odd and we quickly realised that the oil was very old. The fish was soggy and drenched in the disgusting oil. I think the positive reviews here must be fake - very disappointing.
