The food was excellent, with friendly prompt service. The food is far more authentic and down to earth than your usual takeaway. 10/10 thoroughly worth supporting a local family owned and run business!

So good, thick noodles, ribs meaty, it is our favourite takeaway, had to order from another early lockdown as it was shut and were very disappointed. Glad Chow Chow is back.

To be honest I had heard good things but I was bitterly disappointed. Firstly the satay chicken didn't come with satay sauce so it was basically chicken on a stick. The rice and the noodles are so tightly packed in the container (like solid) it is clear these are pre packed and heated to order. I spent £30 and didn't get any prawn crackers, which to be honest I thought was a given on orders of that size. I called to ask where the satay sauce was and was told I hadn't read the menu because they are dry and don't come with sauce... Fair point I hadn't but on just eat it doesn't make that clear and chicken on a stick is not satay. The food isnt what you would expect if you have ever ordered Chinese anywhere ever in the uk. The rice and noodles were "meh" at best and the attitude of the staff was pretty rubbish. Eating the food it was all very bland and to be honest most went to wastw For £30 it was not worth it at all and I will never order from them again, pre packed food and none of the normal bits or flavour that that a Chinese exciting and enjoyable

We have tried every Chinese in Tonbridge, sometimes we have been back a couple of times, Tasty Palace used to be the favourite but then we went to Chow Chow and it is always good. Noodles are the nice thick ones, with plenty in there, chicken balls with plenty of chicken, good curry and I ask for no peas as although I love peas, I hate them in curry and they always do as I ask.

Being just myself to please, I couldn’t fault the chicken chow mien or the spring rolls. However, I wouldn’t say this is the best Chinese takeout in the area...

Over a 2 hour wait with no contact to let us know of any issues. 2 chase up phone calls with false promises given. 2 hungry customers who shall go elsewhere from now on. A shame as normally so reliable.

What a disgusting meal. Had noodles (clumpy and all stuck together) and Chicken in yellow bean sauce (thick gloopy sauce). Everything tasted of old mouldy cooking oil. I complain over the phone and the owner blamed my bad taste buds?!? I’ve had many a Chinese so this was just an insult! He refused a refund until i took the food back. I fished the food out of the recycling bin and had to actually drive it back to the shop to deliver it back to him. How is this good customer service. I eventually got a refund but after all this hassle. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!! 🤬🤬

The manager at chow chow is so kind! He has gone out of his way to bring a new dish to my door step as the one I received was not to my taste. However, my partner devoured his meal and very much enjoyed it! Highly recommend the salt & chilli squid! Lovely staff!

Friend staff. That's it. From there it's greasy, stoggy, lumpy rice - I have never seen the likes of before! When you dream of a treat then feel let down. Expensive mistake.

DO NOT use this takeaway. It is appalling. Tonbridge has loads of great restaurants and takeaways. We decided to give this a try for the first time. I have never had a worse takeaway. Congealed plastic-tasting mushroom chow mein, pepper/cheap curry powder flavour Thai green curry. The least horrible dish was the Chicken Satay, but even that was reminiscent of Fray Bentos reconstituted substances of indeterminate origin out of a tin. Incredibly disappointing - almost certainly reheated, with some of the food (veggies, noodles) tasted so 'old' we thought we might end up with food poisoning (we didn't thankfully). Left nearly all of it and ended my birthday meal with marmite on toast.

We had people round and placed a massive order from here. Never having ordered from here, it was a risk and it didn't pan out. Everything is swimming in gravy - from the Chinese vegetables, to the chow mein and even the rice. The chicken balls were saturated in oil, and there must have been a special on tinned pineapple because both sweet and sour options we ordered consisted of about 90% of the stuff. Not good at all.

We was probably the first to order at around 17:30 the day we visited this terrible restaurant for our evening take away, the food should have been hot and fresh, it was disgusting!!!! We knew there was a very good reason we stop going here months & months ago but we thought we would try it again, NOTHING had changed, absolutely crap, the chicken balls were nearly un-edible , the chips were dry and the special chow mein was vile, please don’t waste your money.

We ordered a take away delivery from this outlet at around 7:00 pm yesterday 4/10 Come 9:00 pm it still hadn’t turned up When we chased it up A woman who identified herself as Q immediately went on the defensive and blamed me for failing to chase up the order ! The upshot was it was far too late to eat a substantial meal without ending up with indigestion! Last time we ever use this take away Far from apologetic staff So dinner ended as two slices of toast And a boiled egg!

We have used this takeaway quite a bit since moving I'm nearby. The food is always really good but they do get extremely busy that customer service sometimes let's it down. We made an order last night of about £50 and ordered for collection. When I arrived I'm the shop there was a queue out of the door and the poor person behind the counter had clearly been told to just keep answering the phone to new orders. It took ages to get the food after I asked as the person behind the counter again got distracted by the telephone. They need to manage situations like this better by having more staff. Good food though.

Spare of the moment change of plans we decided to try a new takeaway and we was not disappointed they are extremely polite reasonably priced and food was exceptional, with a bonus of generous portions, this will be our go too Chinese now
