Bought a celibration cake from here. Was told cake would last a few days in fridge but the macarons which were an added charge didn't last on the cake. They went soggy. Wasn't told to separate these off the top so annoyed at spending nearly £40 to have this happen. Other than that cake was amazing. Would have given 5 stars other than the macaron issue. But unfortunately it was macarons that my wife was looking forward to the most.

Found this place amazing, service was amazing and the food wait was very short. Definitely coming back!!

I saw this little café and the cookies drew my attention, I went in, firstly there wasn’t a person in there and secondly the person serving was sat upstairs chatting, I was charged £3.50 for one cookie (peanut butter and chocolate) when I got home I had half and gave half to my brother. The reason for the one star is when he was about to eat his half there was a squashed spider on the cookie in the dough! My half I had half eaten after picking off what I thought was packaging which turned out to be a spiders web! Disgusting 🤢

Best cakes and sweet treats in Newquay. The seating area is in the back, cosy and nice but the gems are the French baked goods, too good to choose from.

Fantastic food and coffee. Really enjoy the different atmosphere. Very clinical look and feel, imprinted with some french photos and music which gives you a nice background the owners / people who work here. Highly recommend.

Food was fantastic and portion size was great, staff were really lovely and attentive too. The only thing I’d say is that the decor in the back room is a little lacking, I think it could use a little more to give it a warm welcoming atmosphere. Potted plants, some larger interesting art pieces and cool little Knick knacks would really set this place alight in my opinion! It’s a great space in a perfect location, too. Would definitely recommend eating here!

SUBLIME!! 'Chocopassion' cake with added fresh fruit and macarons We collected this exquisite chocolate cake on 2nd March, my birthday. .An absolute treat!. We all agreed it was the best chocolate cake we had ever tasted (and that's a lot!) The delicate flavours of passion fruit and chocolate are a match made in heaven!. Came down to newquay for a family mini break. I had looked online for places to eat and everyone recommended this place and they weren't wrong. It was so yummy we were gutted we didn't get more. We want this shop where we live and believe it would be a hit here. We got a cinnamon roll, a jam Cruffin and a chocolate delight I think it was called which was my daughters choice can't wait to visit again.

This place is perfection. Every time we are in Newquay, we have to call in. Every mouthful of their patisseries is to die for, light, delicate, tasty. Lovely friendly staff, nice coffee, lovely cosy eating area displaying the works of local artists. Be warned though, once you've tasted French baking, nothing else will do!

Lovely place for coffee and a treat, we popped in as we had been visiting family in the community hospital and walked in to the town. Also got some amazing macarons to takeaway and have later.

No matter what time of year we come and visit, the dining experience is always perfect! On this bitterly cold day, a cup of their delicious hot chocolate helps thaw out cold hands and feet. The cakes fill our bellies and satisfies our cravings - I have always loved their black forest and hubby had a slice of Chocorange - trés delicieux! - 🥰🥰🥰

Finally managed to coincide our visit to Newquay with when Choukette Newquay was open and we weren't disappointed. Called in to take pastries away for the next day's breakfast as we had an early start. The croissants were huge, buttery and so fresh tasting - just needed French butter to complete the real French flavour. Now the cruffin - amazing taste and so big, perfect for a breakfast pastry. Calling in again next month and will have to experience coffee and cake after the long drive down. A bientôt les gars !

Called in for coffee. Young lady serving was friendly and helpful. Cappuccino was excellent and made exactly how we like it. The small pastry on the side was delicious like a mini doughnut. I had a black forest cake and it was divine. Cafe was spacious and sofa extremely comfortable. Will definitely visit again and will definitely recommend to anyone. Loved it💖💖

Absolutely delicious bakes - we tried the smores, cookies and cruffins - all were divine. There were homemade chocolates, meringues and macaroons too! The coffee was lovely & staff so friendly/accommodating. A great independent shop which you should visit :)

The cozy vibes offered by this place with the amazing food can not be topped for me. Visited with my friends and it was definitely worth it. The details in the service are amazing and quality is top notch. We got croissants, marshmallow cookies, cinnamon roll and of course coffee along with the greetful bonus... wait for it....a Chouquette, and they were all amazing with my personal favourite being the Cinnamon roll. The Café might have different items depending on the day, so a heads-up (wanted to try Flan but was not available at that day). The staff is very friendly and the place is well maintained.

The crep are reheated not freshly made the over all is disappointing and I would not recommend this place. The service is very slow and we had to wait almost 20 mn for 1 coffee.

Had the strawberry tart and bread&butter pudding - both were great, as was the coffee. A welcome change from the more traditional bakeries on the Main Street.

This was recommended from us visiting a local tearoom. Glad we made the time. The cinnamon roll pastry taste amazing so soft and definitely appreciated the pastry layers. If you're about in the town centre would recommend! Very spacious inside. We sat in. Great coffee too

Today i had the pleasure of meeting Ben & his wife 😁 here are two business owners with more than just "a passion" the talent in that patisserie is extraordinary, Newquay's bakeries and there are many cannot stand up to the delights served by Ben and his team, I found his products in a different coffee shop of all places, and was so taken back by the quality i needed to find ChouKette....Ben's & his teams skill resonates through their work and even though I gush with absolute passion, my words will never do the products justice, All im going to say is..... The Carmel Creme Cruffins can only be described as a "Cathedral Experience"......for me it was like chiors singing... and majestic organs playing while joy rained on my soul... And the tiny sugar choukette served with coffee were mind meltingly amazing... if you visit you will completely understand my view point... Go and find Ben...all of you... let the choukette pilgrimage begin.. 😘

A special place to come. Beautiful chocolates and cakes, always something new to try. I chose the flan which was a gorgeous, silky vanilla dessert. Lovely and chilled, ideal for a mid morning treat. My friends ordered a rum baba each which is good fun. The seating area has been updated since last time I went. An event was being prepared so we didn't see it as it would normally be. Nice amount of space at the back to sit. They kindly reserved us a table after I got in touch on Instagram. I've followed them since shortly after they opened. They are very friendly and hard working people.

Baba au rhum was nice. Very limited choice of cakes and many adapted to English flavours and taste. I was expecting more frenchness. Maybe they have a limited stock on Sundays as they are shut on Monday. I was told I could order next time ahead. Maybe I will do that. The place is clean. Staff was ok. Owners not there so no french spoken.

A lovely place to hire , beautiful, airy and spacious, great to hold a special occasion and the patisserie is stunning. The staff were very hardworking and supportive , I would highly recommend Choukette in Newquay.

We love Newquay and this is a required stop whenever we stay here. Light and delicious professional pastries and cakes, not to mention delicious coffee, served with love in a lovely open patisserie setting. The perfect way to recover energy after a surf or a long walk.

Great quality coffee here and comes with a little complimentary sweet treat. It's has lots of space and seating making it perfect for any meetings you may have. Opening times are sporadic but if there open definitely pop in. To dine in its upstairs so bear in mind it's a flight of steps. Lots of lovely cakes and treats viewable in the window.

Oh my days.... this place absolutely tops Da Bara.... the selection is incredible, coffee is beautiful. It look small on the outside but has a great space to sit in as well. It's like the Tardis in there. Worth a visit... Best thing to come out of France....

Our Favourite shop in Newquay! We visit whenever we are down in Cornwall and this year we even called in on our last day to collect gorgeous boxes of macarons as gifts for family. We love the beautiful patisserie & cakes but we also tried the morning pastries for the first time this year. OMG, totally delicious. Love Choukette! Highly Recommended

We have just returned from a visit to Newquay and are truly gutted we will be missing out on Choukette pastries. Other than Monday, we bought something on everyday of our stay in Newquay. The kouign-amann was a first for us and well worth it....

Amazingly Delicious! I ordered different flavours of Macarons and mixed bakery and the quality is exceptional. Service was excellent. I live in Melbourne Australia, and requested these to be delivered to someone special who lives in Truro . They said they do not usually delivery that far, however, due to Christmas period they have accepted my special request. Very Prompt and efficient service. All communication happened via facebook message. Glowing 5 star reviews are well deserving. Good Luck to the team and Happy Holidays :D
