Third time back, thought i needed to review at this point! Food was excellent as always! I love ceviche and this place never disappoints, sushi rolls were top grade. There will be a 4th time, and a 5th....

Always a good time at Chotto Matte. Their ingredients are top tier, the food and mixes of flavours are truly remarkable. This restaurant does deserve their fusion badge. Their jungle brunch is a great way to enjoy the variety of food they offer, whilst a bit pricey their food portions are very generous and every dish is delicious!

Kinda meh. The lamb chop was really good but otherwise I’ve had better of pretty much everything we tried. The cocktails were also just okay but not great. The decor reminded me of a Moxy.

We walked in without reservation and were greeted in a friendly and professional manner. Cocktails and sushi were truly delicious, the waitress was helpful, she helped us to select the sushi platter (I think her name was Valeria). Great location and atmosphere, highly recommend.

I had been before but was disappointed with my recent visit. The restaurant was empty but there were about 7 waiters, all just talking to each other and offering very slow service. They got our order wrong, didn’t give us cutlery, we had to ask multiple times for the same thing. They served my vegetarian food meat. They didn’t ask how our food was and I don’t think anyone cracked a smile. I regret not taking the 15% service charge off because it really was shoddy service (which was nearly £50). For me the food was good, albeit slow to come out. My friend had to order more food because the vegetarian lunch meal was not substantial, lacked any real main and my friend felt it was not good at all. I wouldn’t recommend.

All very good. During the week for lunch they offer a tasting menu at £30 per person with various courses, excellent for a lunch, even quite filling. Good desserts. Also very quiet at lunch as it is a more popular restaurant for dinner.

I went there with my friend and was served by Brisa. She also speaks Spanish too and she was so kind to translate the dishes to us. She was also nice to talk to and made our experience so enjoyable. It has become my new favourite place to show to my friends when they come to visit.

We had dinner here on a Friday evening at 7pm. We were seated upstairs where we initially felt a little overwhelmed by the loudness of the music. The DJ was already playing what felt like a 11pm set and there was no way to adjust the volume since the PA is all on the same volume level for the bar and restaurant. We settled in after some time and the food we ordered was great but one dish was served with some hairs inside the sushi. The service here was very attentive and fixed the problem straight away. Unfortunately one of the waitress dropped my phone from the table (accidentally) and smashed the back of the glass on the phone. All in all the service and food were good but I wouldn’t go back after this experience.

We happened upon this restaurant after trawling through a very busy Soho looking for a place to eat before a comedy night at Soho theatre. We arrived exhausted after miles of walking and were feeling quite overwhelmed by the packed streets, sights and sounds of London. What a find! It was a perfect sanctuary from the chaos. Friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, the staff couldn't have been nicer. The food was delicious, with sharing plates of chicken and salmon which were fresh, spicy and full of flavour. The decor was smart and cosy, and the live music and couple dancing added to the stylish, peruvian vibe. A very lucky find, thank you!

I finally had a chance to visit the highly regarded Chotto Matte, We tried a selection of dishes, some better than others. Particular highlight was the Asado De Tira (braised beef), this was incredible, tender, soft and tasty. I'd also recommend the truffle rice, cerviche and sushi. The cocktails were also very good. The atmosphere was a little bit noisy, would be nice if they could turn the music down. But otherwise the service was high quality and attentive Overall a great experience. I would say the price holds me back from giving 5 stars, you can find comparable (or even better) food in London for less money.

I absolutely this restaurant. The vibe is energetic and buzzing. The cocktails are delicious - we indulged in far too many, and the food was just phenomenal! We gorged on: - Padron peppers - Guacamole - Spicy edamame - Yellowtail nikkei sushimi - Prawn tempura - Chicken karaage - Beef tataki - Sea bass ceviche - Duck spring roll - Crispy chilli chicken - Dragon roll - Egg fried rice - Yuca fries - Chicken coriander - Black cod - Slow cooked beef - Lamb chops - Passion fruit creme brulee - Black sesame ice cream Did I mention that everything was sublime?! The service was friendly and accommodating, making the experience even more enjoyable.

For a celebratory occasion, we had a special night at Chotto Matte. We mostly followed the recommendations by the service team and the Food was delicious. Although the food is fairly pricey, it is value for money. The service was 2nd to none. LEDI ( think it's spelt) was brilliant and very educated and keen to help. Service was very prompt which was needed as we had a show to see afterwards. The restaurant it's self is very stylish and Chic. And to cap of a memorable night, we were pleasantly suprised with a special treat at the end! Would love to come back and try more of the menu!

Never disappoint! Very tasty food and great service! Best pisco sour and octopus in London at a reasonable price point. Friday/Saturday they have a more buzzing atmosphere - perfect for a dinner before bar/club. For those who have Amex - they are in dining offer often.

We booked Chotto Matte for a nice birthday celebration, but it turned out to be a disappointment. The food, with the exception of the salmon and gyozas, was average. The sushi portions were very small, and one of the sushi rolls was quite chewy. The ambience was also terrible; the place was quite dark and dimly lit, making it difficult to see anything properly. The music was unbearably loud, more suited to a club than a restaurant. Despite being aware that Chotto Matte has a club, I expected the restaurant section to offer a more relaxed atmosphere for dining. My friends and I found ourselves counting down the minutes until we could leave and find another place for dessert. Our request to a staff member to lower the volume was met with a curt response, stating that it wasn’t possible. This is one restaurant we will not be revisiting or recommending!

The food was delicious. Everything else was good, but I was slightly more impressed with the Miami restaurant. As with most restaurants in London, I felt that it can feel a bit cramped with so many tables. Nevertheless, a good experience.

Food and ambience was great but we were a table of vegetarians, all ordering from the vegetarian set menu and were served raw fish instead of the lychee ceviche. When we notified this to the team, they were very unapologetic just stating ‘they look the same’, which was disappointing. Felt like they could have handled the situation differently and an apology would have been welcomed

Without a doubt a great experience

We were looking for a place to get drinks after catching a show and stumbled upon this place. We were welcomed in and there was a great atmosphere. There was a DJ but you could still have a chat. Staff were friendly and Franz gave us great service, recommending drinks and getting me my favourite cocktail even though it wasn't specifically on the menu. Look forward to returning to try some of the food.

I liked the dinner here it was good food. We went with the deluxe sharing menu and god were we full. The portion sizes were good and fills you up half way through. Some dishes were amazing and some were meh but the overall experience was very nice. Adding to that the staff did a good job of explaining and were tending to our requirements. The only thing I would point out was that the seating arrangements could do with some extra space. I am guessing to fit in more 2 seaters.

Chotto Matte was on my to go list for a while and did not disappoint! The venue is beautiful with a lovely lounge and stylish decor. The food was amazing, each dish was full of taste and presented beautifully (my mum in law even ate the ceviche and sushi and loved it - she doesn’t eat raw fish normally). Ah, don’t forget to start with a Pisco sour,it was a bomb!

I had great experience with in chotto Matte, very quick service and amazing dishes. Michal was great, very nice person and worker always careful about the guests, all the staff was smiley and gentle. Slow cooked beef with purple potatoes was an experience dish melting in your mouth.. I'll come back for sure and I advise everyone to try this place at least once

Simply one of the best meals we’ve had. Every dish was delicious, with the Yellowtail Sashimi, the Beef Tataki and the Nasu Miso being exceptional. The La Chakana cocktail was also a highlight. Our server, Lily, was great - friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely dine their again when we return to London.

We went to this restaurant as a recommendation, and the truth is it was a success, Lily explained everything to us and treated us wonderfully, a 10 for the service and a 10 for the food,

Unfortunately the service here was not great. We were asked what we wanted to drink and place our orders, but our drinks never did come out. Lastly, we were overcharged for our food we got charged extra for something we didn’t order. Wouldn’t recommend

We’ve been loyal customers of Chotto Matte Soho for over 5 years now, but unfortunately, we’ve noticed a steady decline in both the food quality and the overall experience. The food portions seem to have been getting smaller, while the prices have been creeping up, making the value feel less and less justified. On our most recent visit, we came on a Thursday after work, and were shoved upstairs into a cramped corner where the tables were so close together that the one next to us was literally just 5 cm away. Despite the disappointment, we still have vouchers to use, so we’re planning to give it another try in the hopes that the food quality has improved in the new year. We genuinely hope that this is just a temporary dip and that Chotto Matte will return to the high standards we once loved.

Revisited Chotto Matte after 10 years. The place was chic at that time but after renovations, it’s ultra chic! Great food & ambience. Worth a visit before heading to nearby Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.

I'd never been to a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant, and Chotto Matte offers a beautiful and seamless blend of the two cuisines. Lots of vegan options. The team were very kind and explained the dishes when asked, clarified ingredients and service reasonable quick. I personally found the ambience a bit too noisy, but they had a fairly full house, so can't complain. A nice place for an evening out with friends, for a cuisine with a twist and a punch!

An excellent ceviche dish and also the asado The waitress made a fuss and ordered us a dish that was missing. After a long wait, we received compensation on the house bill for the comforting asado dish

Another great visit to Chotto, unfortunately quite a few of my fave dishes were unavailable, but the ones that we ordered were lovely! The brussel sprouts would not be something I would pick, but they were really good! Spicy tuna, chicken and the sushi platter were all really good too. Cocktails and the pineapple crème brûlée were the star of the show for me. Great experience!
