Chorley Town Cafe in Chorley

Great atmosphere reasonably priced. All staff very welcoming. I came had a breakfast and my mum had fish chips and peas both came hot and fresh the fish was fresh batterd to order. Drink came included with my breakfast can highly recommend the deserts here to we had 3 different types of cakes witch was all delicious.

The food was tasty and very hot and customer service was very good, although I did get a decaf coffee and buttered toast when I asked for a decaf tea and no butter on my toast. The errors were quickly dealt with and the staff apologised.

8.50p lamb and roast pots , lamb was like leather some frozen or cheap cut of , knifes no good as hey couldn't cut it ( saying thst it was like leagher) gravy was diabolical, it was as good as water toast spuds aldi speacals , peas tasteless, cake and brew !! Coffee was drinking able the cake quite big buy useless for taste aldi own brand stuff 99p for full cake , 13.50p in totally I won't order same meal again probs best just stick to English breki . Best just go to weatherspoons

DON'T go to ANY supermarket for a breakfast!! This place does the BEST breakfast in Chorley. Tasty hot food worth paying a few quid more for. Lovely food.

Brilliant, friendly clean good food fast, nice place to have a breakfast or lunch.

The only cafe I could find open on a Monday, so had no other option. I found it quite pricey compared to other cafes I've been to. Wasn't anything special either.

Whilst I understand them trying to sit more people in for lunch, this place is big enough for a takeaway not a diner we were put on a table with 2 complete stranger's, not for me, also very expensive,

Went to change all his taps stayed for full English breakfast. Best in town . Would highly recommend .we will be back on a Sunday for a Sunday dinner

We always use this cafe if we are in Chorley. The place is clean. The food is good, the prices and choices are good. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Can't go wrong here.

A lovely little cafe in the heart of Chorley. Value for money and lovely food. Excellent service and would recommend. Parking is either on the Flat Iron or the car park by the Parish Church. On street parking on Market Street.

Don’t take the meerkat vouchers as advertised manager no help Been in once before nothing special just go elsewhere they are dishonest had to pay full amount despite a special visit to utilise the meerkat meal offer disgusted

Great cafe in the town centre. Very clean. Staff was very polite. Great food at great prices. Plenty of seating available. Plenty to choose from the menu and desserts.

I've walked past this cafe lots of times!! However two weeks ago I went in for a meal!! I had the land dinner, and it was excellent!!! I've been back three times since!! EXCELLENT FOOD AND VERY FAST!!! THESE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!!!!!

They do a lovely milky coffee and the food is always freshly prepared, never been disappointed.

I know its a cafe, and for what you pay and what you get it can't be faulted. It's clean staff are friendly food is good well priced and a good choice. And you can sit outside if the sun is shining. Would I go again yes. Forgot to mention toilet is clean as well

This place is hit and miss for service and atmosphere for me. Some days I go in and everyone's happy, other days I get stared down by staff like I'm a foreigner.

We came up from Ipswich and found this cafe early this morning. So clean and organized . The staff were so so friendly and accommodating to our request. Thank you for an amazing breakfast. Very yummy and such a large choice.

Popped in here for a quick bite to eat, menu looked ok and staff friendly. However the food wasn't that good. Hubby had pie & chips which was obviously microwaved so a couple of bits hot but mostly just tepid. I had fish fingers with chips & beans - fish fingers ok, chips ok, but the beans were just dumped on the plate on top of the chips so they all went soggy. Such a shame. Dont think we'll be going back.

Very poor quality food, service (payment) was rude and arrogant expected to keep the change. I would not eat in there again. If I could select 0 stars I would. This is a non English owned cafe.

Couldn't get order on the plates right, then moved items from 1 plate to the other to correct this, ended up with sause from my beans on my burger bread roll

Went to this cafe pre pandemic and thought some of the food was not high quality ie the sausage and bacon but for the price it was hot and overall good. Went today and was disgusted with the way we was treated and spoke to by I presume the owner. I went with my mum and ordered 2 coffees,a burger and some extras. When I went to pay I was told the extras was a breakfast meal and was overcharged. I was told I can't order extras as i hadn't had a meal. I think he was trying to say you can only order extras with a breakfast. IT WAS A JOKE as I could of had the burger and wanted extras with my meal. Either way all he was bothered about was getting my money and a decent place would apologise and and honour the difference. Shame but won't be returning due to how he spoke to me and how rude he was.

Really disappointing experience. We sat down at 10.55 and ordered drinks and food at 11.00. Drinks came 5 minutes later. We then waited for our food. Other people were arriving and were fed within 10 minutes or so, but not us. At 11.20 we are asked about our food, and we were told '5 minutes'. At 11.35 and with no food on our table, I went to the counter to pay for our drinks, as we hadn't had any food. To be fair they tried to waive our drinks charge, but I payed. Very disappointed with the service.

Almost £8 for a breakfast. It had no beans or tomatoes. And come with cheap catering sausage.. staff gave you no time to look at the menu properly before they took it off you.

Ask and you shall not receive, had the driest toast ever with the cheapest "marg" available and the bacon roll had one blob of the same stuff plonked in the middle of the roll, maybe your not supposed to eat the edge of your toast/roll or maybe when your mouth is clogged-up with bone dry bread you'll order another weak (very) coffee.

I walked in here, and as I walked towards the till I noticed it was cash only. I knew I didn't have much cash on me, so I asked if I could look at a menu to see if I had enough money on me. I was asked to take a seat and someone would come over to me. I took a seat, and looked at a menu, and noticed I had enough in change for what I wanted. I placed my order with a waitress. I was brought out a chilled glass, and a can from the fridge. I had high hopes. My lunch came out. Jacket Potato, and salad. There was sweetcorn everywhere, in the salad, under, and on the jacket potato. I asked for a napkin, and the waitress watched me get rid of pretty much most of the salad, and picked out the bits near the potato, she did not question it. I left most of my food, as I could taste the flavour of the sweetcorn. I went to pay and was overcharged, so I had to question it with another member of staff, and then I paid, and left. I would not go here again.

Had never visited this place before and didnt get you sat down then your order would be taken at the table. I went to the counter to order and pay for my food I was blanked for quite a while before being told to sit at the table and someone would come and take my order. My cup of tea was brought straight over but the coffee took a while and then came with no milk when we clearly ordered a normal coffee ? When my Barm arrived there was no complaint as it was pipping hot and really nice. I then had to go to the counter to pay which really defeated the idea of taking the order at the table. But I have to say the place was really busy at the time when many of the cafes close by had either 1 or 2 customers or none so it must be extremely popular locally

Honestly this place is just brilliant they do a top class fry up that isn't swimming in grease and the teas and coffees aren't bad either. Staff are friendly and welcoming. It's a shame they don't take cards but it's very clearly signposted so it's not a big deal. Very reasonably priced and good sized portions

Pleasant spacious cafe, conveniently placed within the town, with a great menu and quick service. Could only pay with cash but that was no problem. The food was hot and absolutely delish - it wasn't dry, or soggy, it was perfect. I'm visiting from the South East and can say this is the nicest cafe food, and hot chocolate, I've had. Will be returning to Chorley Town Cafe on my next visit to Lancashire 👍

We all had omelette and they were great. Nice chips too. Kids meal of egg, chips & beans was big and little man seemed to enjoy it. Will definitely return.

Ordered a tea cake and cup of tea. The tea cake tasted stale but was in date. I didn’t eat it and wasn’t even offered a different one or a refund.

Been here a few times now. Ordered b'fast no. 3 but didn't want the bacon so the waitress offered an alternative. Food always good and service.

The guy who owns this badly run excuse for a cafe ran 300 yards down market walk to catch up with me after I had left and accused me of not paying! I explained to him I had paid a member of his staff even b4 I had eaten.he turned away and left not even apologising..ironic thing is weeks earlier I paid for a meal for 2 and only got one@@.verry Rude foreigners these people imo.

I choose breakfast no3 from the menu. When it arrived it was almost cold. I asked could they put some tomatoes on it. As the cheaper choices 1+2 had tbis option. Like any decent person would. I took my dirty plate n cup back to the counter and asked the man did i owe him anything for the tomatoes. I nearly fell on the floor wen he said 90p. I confronted him over this and he reduced it 50p. Like he was doin me a favour. If i had chosen breakfast no4 which also had tomatoes on it that would of cost me 20pextra. I never did get my toast either. A typical example of how many Vulnerable people are being ripped off in this cafe. I wont be goin back. The food was left alot to desired also. Avoid this cafe at ALL costs.🙏

Back for our third visit. To be honest we planned and timed our day out to include lunch at this cafe! It was quieter on a Sunday which made it an even better experience. Tables and cafe clean, staff helpful and pleasant, food tasty, well prepared and served fresh. What’s not to like?

Went to Chorley Town Cafe for breakfast today and was incredibly impressed. The cafe is extremely clean and the staff are very welcoming and polite. There's ample seating and if you like al fresco dining there's seating outside too (although it's a tad cold for that at the moment I'd say). The menu is extensive and there is a great variety of food to choose from. I ordered a breakfast and a mug of tea and not only was it excellent value for money, but it was also extremely good too. Well cooked and a good-sized portion of mushrooms, beans etc. If I have one niggle, it was that the tea was a bit weak and milky for me, but that is personal taste as I like my tea strong (my own fault for not mentioning when I ordered, just be aware if you prefer your tea strong). All in all, I was seriously impressed by the standard of cleanliness, service, food and value for money. Will definitely go again.
