Chop & Wok in Sandwell

Rarely do I leave a poor review but food was of poor quality. Tasted unlike any other egg fried rice, possibly had shell in my portion, would not revisit, didn’t eat, waste of money.

Keep away from these people staff absolutely rude . Always send wrong order . I can’t believe a business like this one still trading .

Honestamente, la comida valió la pena el dinero. Las raciones son fantásticas. ¡Y la comida tiene un sabor increíble en general! Saludos, volveremos a ordenar muy pronto.

La comida, independientemente de la preparación, tenía el mismo sabor. Misma salsa. Debajo come entregado. La sopa goteó porque la tapa no se cerró correctamente y se derramó. Comida cara en comparación con la comida china adecuada para llevar ¡Primera y última vez desde este lugar! ! !

This was the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever ordered. The starters were mean, tasteless and expensive. I have no idea what the dipping sauce was supposed to be - it was totally without flavour. Fishcakes and spring rolls were clearly out of the freezer and into the fryer. The chicken wings were just not very nice. Nothing was spicy. The mains were indistinguishable from each other, and were gloopy and virtually taste-free. The (included) bottle of Coke was not Diet or Zero as specially requested, and the free prawn crackers numbered just five! If you're in West Birmingham and after Chinese food, avoid this place - our experiece has been very, very disappointing.

We used this take away place regularly. Last year after we collected our food I have noticed by noodles are drained in oil as soon as I opened the box. My partners box was in a same state. You could taste the grease while eating it was horrible. So today we have decided to give it go after a year and well.... it hasn’t changed! My food was covered in oil again!! You have to either stop using such a large amount of oil or change sauces supplier. Disgusting, definitely not the healthiest take away place.

Food delivered late despite several calls to the restaurant!. Also cold.

Waited over an hour and a half to get £7.45 noddles that were drenched in oil and sauce no veg in them just noddles and tofu the vegetables spring rolls were also swimming in oil and tasted vile and the prawn crackers come in a bag with about ten crackers that tasted off. It’s gone in the bin. Gutted.

Phone number was constantly engaged. An hour late. Nxt to no duck or prawn in my noodles, chicken was cold. Joke really

Not worth the money whatsoever.. 27 quid and not a lot for it. Watery sauce for katsu curry hardly any chicken... platter for 2 dreadful! Too many wedges.. 3 wings and 2 prawn toasts!! Disgraceful. Not be ordering again.

The food tasted cheap and the "ramen" soup (no ramen in it) tasted like it had way too much salt in it, to the point we had to drain it to eat it - not a good sign for what is meant to be a soup. The satay chicken did not taste like satay - just heat and plain chicken. No thanks.

Probably the best katsu curry we’ve ever had.. a little more chicken would be fab but apart from that absolutely delicious.. first time ordering from chop and wok and will definitely be coming back for more... FABULOUS

The veggie gyozas were super yummy. The prawns in the prawn chow mein were a bit strange and there weren't very many. The Vietnamese crackers were quite hard and tough to eat. I asked for Coke as my drink and got given Fanta instead...

Never gonna order from that place again. Nothing was tasty. Food cooked in old oil, Have to put everything to the bin.

I love the look of the menu, unfortunately southern fried chicken was just grilled chicken and Thai curry didn’t really resemble one, katsu curry was a bit like gravy, add to this lots of salt. The prawn crackers were good though

Prawn shell in my chicken dish. Was supposed to have 5 vegetables in the noodles...there was 2 peppers and onion and they were cooked to mush! Tiny portions, lack of flavour and totally over cooked.. will not be a returning customer.

Food is very nice, but my delivery time was absolutely shocking! Since ordered my food took 1hr50mins!!

I’ve had chop wok many times and this was the worse, over cooked rice, no veg so was just crumps of rice, bamboo shoots and prawns (a few)

delivery was 2 hrs late and then they turned the phones off absolute joke of a place do not order from there use another chop n wok or another takeaway

The food was awful, my chicken in my chow mien was not cooked properly and the curry ordered was watery. Had to throw out the food

Most of the soup was in the bag instead of being in that cardboard tray . For the chicken katsu curry there wasn't any vegetables in the curry just 3 small pieces of onion. Would be nice if I could submit some pictures with the food. Don't recomend. Feel bad I wasted £12 just to have the soup spilled everywhere and just some liquid with colour in vegetables.

Delivery was very late and one meal was missing salmon, which I paid extra for.

Ordered noodles that sadly didn't have any salmon in although they were advertised as so. It was quite bland. Satay chicken tasted good.

I ordered a salmon and rice dish butl I received a phone call saying they'd ran out of salmon could they replace it with something else instead and since I don't eat meat only fish, I asked for the salmon to be replaced with mushrooms. But when it arrived all I got was a box of burnt rice and about 1 mushroom in the box there was no other veg that was supposed to be included with it so I called the restaurant to complain and they were very dismissive and rude and told me to contact just eat since it was them who I ordered it from. I do not pay nearly £8 for a box of burnt, dry rice so I will not be ordering or eating from this place again, they need to be boycotted and shut down immediately.

stay clear of this place we wait 1hr and 15 mins for monday night, the beef curry was just made up of water and a few strips of beef, small portions of chips, rice was a kids portion and the chicken chow-mein was just slop. all this cost us of £20.00, shocking compared to other places. awful. never again.

Do not order from Chop and Wok (Quinton, Birmingham). I ordered food at 18:30 and at 21:30 got a call saying it was being delivered. During this time we called multiple (over 20) times but couldn't get through. When we did get through we tried to cancel our order but they hung up on us. At 21:30 we finally got a call from the delivery driver saying they were outside. We obviously sent them back because we didn't want the food (we had gone to somewhere else for food)! I just hope the driver didn't get in trouble for what is obviously a problem at the restaurant.

Received the wrong food. Asked for Beef and got chicken. Try somewhere else next time

The food was not good, not worth the money. The chips were not nice, the curry was thin and tasted oily, I ordered the Katsu carry there was hardly any chicken and the chicken wings were oily again no flavour. I will not be ordering from here again.

Food looked like it was just pre heat and not fresh. Both my wife and myself had loose bowel straight after the food. Really bad experience being the first time we ordered there. Really think restaurant need to make sure it is fresh food since people health depends on them, therefore they need to be extra careful. I hope this comment does not go unnoticed.

The food didn’t seem very fresh and I’m quite disappointed ☹️ but the delivery came much earlier than expected which is always good when you’re hungry and the man that delivered my food was very smiley and sweet!

Food is greasy and Luke warm, chicken wings do not look like they’ve came from a chicken and are a weird yellow colour. Spring rolls are greasy and cold. Asked for two coca-colas and was delivered Pepsi. Won’t be ordering ever again from here. Avoid and save your money!

Really, really disappointed. Food was delivered 40 minutes late with no apology or explanation. Food could not be eaten, it was cold. The chicken satay was hard, spring rolls were soggy. The chow mein was not as described on the menu and also cold. Will definitely not be ordering again. Terrible food, terrible service at above average prices.

I ordered from Chop and Wok last week and the food was excellent. This time however, the vegetable dumplings were greasy and the panko coated squid rings tasted very cheap and there was no sign of a panko coating. Very disappointed.

Awful the establishment never has the ingredients and sends alternatives which are inedible due to dietary needs

Food smelt and tasted burnt. Korean wings were extremely dry. Annoyed that they forgot my mushrooms in my wok. Could have at least refunded my £1.

I had a takeaway from chop & wok as I have heard a lot of good things about it. My family wasn't happy about the meal at all, as the noodles were and tasted burnt. Not happy with that food at all

Ordered the whole grain vermicelli noodles with veg and Malaysian sauce. First Chop and Wok I’ve had and would certainly have another. Flavoursome and good portions.

tried the WOK LUNCH MEAL DEAL. Had a vegetarian option with hong kong sweet and sour source. Portion was good size and tasted great. very handy as it was delivered to the office. would use again

Absolutely awful, the noodles were so dry and spicy couldn’t eat!! Wouldn’t recommend. Better off having noodles from your local Chinese.

The restaurant didn't have my katsu curry but called me and was very sweet on the phone to accommodate me. They gave me chopsticks as requested in my notes. Food was top quality but the Malaysian curry was too salty for me. Finally a halal takeaway I will deffo be ordering all the time. Thank you!

food was diabolical 😤 one lot of noodles was burnt throughout and was inedible, the second wasn’t much better the extra egg requested in both dishes looked curdled and resembled split milk, the ramen was also horrible it had no egg only things it did have was bean sprouts and some carrots 🤷🏼‍♀️ nothing like what it states on the menu... why the chef would let dishes go out like this is beyond me. looks like another establishment that has lost all spark the restaurant looks terrible also like it should be shut down £23 wasted safe to say I won’t be using chop and wok again!

Ordered online, called the restaurant to advice no coriander. On the phone they said it would be 1hr, just eat was saying 90min. It took over 1hr 50min to arrive (less than 2miles from the restaurant). After an hour waiting, the restaurant called to say they didn't have one of the dishes. And again, they said it would only take 30min to arrive since that call (it didn't happen). I couldn't believe it. Food was good, small portions though.

I am very disappointed with the service/Delivery. I am still waiting for the delivery. It has been 2.5 hours. They charge 5.00 pounds for the delivery and yet the delivery isn't on time.

possibly the worst Chinese I’ve had. Beef was so dry and chewy I couldn’t eat it. black bean sauce was unrecognisable. the price is ridiculous and the driver wouldn’t even get out his car. we had to walk over to him after he called me and after I’d asked him to bring it up to us (1 floor) should get a refund seriously terrible food terrible service I want my money back 😠

This place serves nice indian twist chinese meals. I have a craving for the mumbai noodle stir fry. Hasn't failed to impress me just yet. This gives meaning to curry in a hurry!

Estoy muy decepcionado con el nivel de servicio al cliente y el nivel de comida que se ofrece en el Quinton Chop Wok. Fui a reclamar mi buzón después de que el gerente del área me envió un correo electrónico de confirmación que decía que había ganado el chop wok gratis durante una semana, así que esta fue mi segunda visita. El caballero que me atendió se mostró frustrado cuando reclamé mi segundo buzón como si quisiera. Yo pagué por ello y sentí que el servicio que prestaba a los clientes que pagaban no era el mismo para mí y esto se demostró a través de la comida provista. Obtuve la misma caja de sabores que la primera vez, sin embargo, esta vez no fue la misma, no tenía sabor ni color, y me di cuenta de que había algo extraño cuando abrí la caja cuando llegué a casa. Cuando comí mi primer bocado, no había salsa ni ningún sabor a los fideos, el pollo se veía incoloro y poco cocinado y lo sabía porque tenía exactamente el mismo sabor la primera vez y no sabía tan bien como este. Luego realicé un viaje de regreso a la tienda, lo que me llevó 20 minutos corregir este problema. Luego le mostré al tipo la comida que había preparado y le pedí que viera por qué era tan insípido y, sin ninguna comunicación, tiró la comida en el recipiente y comenzó a preparar otra y, una vez más, pareció frustrado. El mismo día que sucedió esto, le envié un correo electrónico al gerente del área para contarle lo que había sucedido y hasta hoy no he recibido una respuesta y esto sucedió hace aproximadamente 3 semanas.

Driver wouldnt get out of the car when we went to meet him at the end of the drive and in passing the food through HIS car window he spilt the ramen down him - refused to go back and replace it told us he had come ten miles!!! (rubbish as we ordered from the one only a few miles away) - rest of food was awful and we waited nearly two hours! Food we have recieved is almost inedible and we have thrown the katsu curry in the bin - chicken was not coated! Very unhappy that this was on 'just eat' The chow mein has also gone in the bin! Very hungry people
