This is a lovely local shop and a real asset to Hythe High Street. It's a friendly place and very helpful with lovely chocolates, ice cream and coffee. What more could you want!

We used chocolate deli as a wedding gift. Frances provided us with an array of different chocolates and styles for individual boxes which made a lovely gift for the bride and groom on their wedding day. Would recommend for use as wedding favours.

Lovely chocolate shop that does coffee and hot chocolates and delicious tasters for you to try. But sadly no decaffeinated coffee (this is 2015). The seating is not the most comfortable but as long as you like sitting on high stools it is fine. The chocolates however, are home made on the premises and delicious.

I first went to this little gem when it first opened and I had moved down from central London. I was greeted by a welcoming and friendly owner who handed me a Vogue, a cup of delicious café and placed two chocolate truffles on the side. It was a touch of the glamour I was missing, together with the most delicious Belgium chocolates that I knew and loved. Right down to the packaging, she just got it so right. I will be sorry to see it go, but perhaps she will re open somewhere else ... Sheer chocolate delight!

It is with great regret that I have to inform everyone that the Chocolate Deli will cease trading in February 2015. Kate has run this excellent deli for 7 years and I know it will be missed by many residents in Hythe. I am told by Kate that the unexpected opening of a rival business some 100 yards away had nothing to do with her decision to close. Kate I wish you every success for any future venture.

Lovely quaint little shop. The owner is really welcoming and friendly. The shop is always spotless and the Chocolates displayed in a glass cabinet look and taste yummy. Drinks are great too. Real fresh Coffee and Hot Chocolate. We buy chocolates here as presents, wrapped to perfection which are always well received. Great to support the independent trader.

I've been visiting the Chocolate Deli since it first opened. The owner, Kate, has the most delicious chocolates on offer. They are not the cheapest you may find but I defy you to find better for the money. They are amongst the best I have ever tasted - and I've tried loads, believe me! They beat some of those posh London choc shops hands down. Whenever I'm in Hythe I cannot resist the lure of Kate's lovely shop. Luckily I live in London so my waistline doesn't suffer too often!

There is always something for someone here with seasonal stuff too, the individual chocolate boxes are excellent and an ideal gift.

We wandered down the main street in Hythe close to closing time. Most of the shops were shut. "Do you fancy an ice cream?" my wife asked me. "Go on then,"I replied, expecting another run of the mill cone. What I got was a small tub for over two quid. Bit small. Rip off. Disappointed. Those were my first reactions. How wrong can you get. This ice cream is amazing. The best I have ever had. If you get the chance try some. It's made in Ashford. It was perfect. If you're in Hythe treat yourself. You won't regret it.

My wife and I are so lucky to have this little gem on our doorstep. Kate the owner is lovely and so helpful when dealing with customers, young or old. The choice of Belgium and French chocolate plus the hot chocolate are to die for. Our grandchildren love going to the Deli when visiting and to see their faces light up when entering is well worth it. For anyone in the area this is a must visit

A lovely tiny welcoming shop on the High Street with hand made chocolates hand picked and in gorgeous boxes, custom gifts. Lovely little treats for Christmas, and all year round. Best Salted Caramel Fudge I've ever had! This little Gem will never get it's due in Hythe; it's too sophisticated for the local grease-loving crowd. Should move to London, New York, San Francisco! There is so much potential here, however it's not in the best spot and the food is just about "OK" - to be fair I wasn't expecting michelin stars and I understand the need to keep costs down - but it needs to be balanced and it currently isn't. Working more closely withthe Maize Maze may help them attract more people which would then help to improve the overall offering and quality. But for now, it's ok for a cheapish lunchtime snack with the kids.

We went to Anna’s tearoom for my friends surprise 30th Birthday. It was fabulous!!!! We had the whole tearooms to ourselves and the staff were so lovely and went over and above to make it extra special for us. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the afternoon tea was beautiful best I’ve had, would definitely recommend this lovely tearoom xxxx

We were cycling on a busy, sunny Saturday and came across this delightful cafe. The staff were warm and welcoming and offered us a secure place to park the bikes so that we could go inside to escape the sun (although there is also outside seating.) There is a good range of all day breakfast and lunch items, all of which are cooked fresh and our avocado, feta and egg on toast was perfect. Lovely coffee and cakes too!
