Our first meal out since last Summer and a very good choice. Friendly and efficient service and the meal was very good. I recommend the home made burger.

Wow beautiful location, gorgeous food which was presented perfectly. The staff and owners were very polite and happy to help. Good prices too.

Popped in for an early dinner recently and had a really warm greeting. We didn’t have a booking but they managed to accommodate us and our 10 month old (high chair was available). Good menu selection and food was fresh and of great quality. Staff were very friendly and gave the right amount of attention. We’d definitely come back soon.

I must say that the lamb Madras at Krishnas’s I had last night was the best that I have eaten for a very long time. It must be at least forty years since I have had such a lovely meal. So genuinely authentic. Hot and spicy as if should be. Well done Mt Chef.

The make over the new owners have done is excellent. It’s smart and comfortable. We got a warm welcome and the service was just right, not intrusive but there whenever you need them. I cannot commend the quality of the food enough. The portion sizes were just right, we were full but not stuffed. We had 2 courses, chicken biryani’s with poppadoms (The dips are so delicious) and nan bread sides. The bill was very reasonable for the quality of the experience. We’ve already booked to go again. Book early.

What a great find!! Really friendly,nice surroundings,AND most importantly a great authentic curry.Menu not vast but really interesting,and more the better for it,they obviously know the dishes they prepare ,and it simply works.Although a 5mile trip from where we live,will definitely be making that journey a few more times. Review site seems to be under impression it's a hotel??...looks to me me more like a gastro Indian pub/restaurant???

Lovely atmosphere, great staff, and tasty food. Having visited previously under another manager I had been very underwhelmed and thought this place had no idea what it wanted to be or who it was for. Took our parents and our kids for dinner for a birthday and was really happy to find it seems to have found its feet. Cosy, welcoming, and with delightful hospitality, we enjoyed a slightly dressed up Indian that stopped short of pretentious and avoided the chronic poor wine list of your typical curry house. One star docked for seafood over in one curry but very much forgivable given where we were. Good time had by all and we will be back!

We went on a recommendation by some friends and wasn’t disappointed. All the food we had was delicious and the staff were very attentive. The lady owner was very nice and chatted for a while. Great to see they’ve still kept the bar for those who just want a drink. 5stars 👏

Wow! Total transformation of the Roebuck Inn in just 3 months. The pub is beautiful, the food is absolutely amazing and the owners give us all an object lesson in how to run a great pub and restaurant. The welcome is always wonderful and all the customers seem to be returns, greeted like old friends. A real family atmosphere but you need to book WAY in advance. This is a seriously popular place.

Had a really delicious meal this evening with family. After visiting earlier in the week with friends. Decor and atmosphere excellent, food even better than when they were at The White Horse. Made to feel so welcome by a lovely host as always. The food is the best Indian food ever!!

Was good pub for walkers. Now nicely done up and the home for Krishna Indian Restaurant. This is the family run business that used to be on the A32 into Gosport. That was really excellent and the best Indian I have ever been to. We will see if this is still the case. Meanwhile it still has a good garden with tables.

Krishna’s at the Roebuck in at 55 I have loved Indian food since I was around 12 I have eaten in probably 50 plus different Indian restaurants over the last 25 years including some of the Well known London restaurants such as Benares in Mayfair Chutney Marys Verraswarmy’s Krishnas is right up there with the very best had around 4 meals there now all been awesome service is great very friendly good advise on food selection. The quality of meat seafood etc absolutely first class Great decor and nice pub garden. I have recommended it to friends family all have loved it. If you go I guarantee you will be a regular. It has been voted best food in Hampshire on OpenTable it’s not hard to see why. Good value for the quality of food. Lots of free parking. 100% recommend

We had a delicious meal here last week!! I love the bright decor in all the various dining areas, with an outside terrace and a large beer garden too. Plenty of parking is really helpful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! It does get busy - so make sure you book a table! They plan to do B&B's and Takeaways soon too! Fantastic!!

Was visiting to carry out repairs to the gas system, Spotless kitchen, chef insisted I had some lunch, and I have to say it was the best curry I have ever had! Will defo be visiting next time I'm in the area with the family for a sit down dinner :)

Came here for a birthday meal it was amazing. Staff were amazing and even though we hadn’t booked they managed to find a table for us in the restaurant. On the contrary to what you may think it was around £50 for two of us with samosas popadoms and obviously two amazing curries. The jalfrezi was absolutely amazing complements to the chef whomever it is. Definitely will come again!

Out for a dog walk along the meon trail, and saw a sign for the Roebuck inn, went in for a coffee, ended up eating a fantastic tandori king prawn curry. Would highly recommend this place as the food and service is great.

Recently turned into an Indian gastro pub. Absolutely delicious food - love the food from the tandoor oven and great naan bread! Good service too.

Newly refurbished as a pub / Indian restaurant. Ordered a couple of starters while enjoying a drink in the garden. Lamb chops and garlic chilli chicken were both delicious. We will be back. Well worth a visit

Popped in on a Sunday for lunch. I had chicken tikka. Lovely. My wife had buttered chicken with rice. Most excellent. Only thing concerned about was poppadoms, for 2 people Had 3 half's. (Most odd)!

Our first visit, After having a lovely walk along Wickham,We stopped off for a bit of lunch. Lovely clean pub, welcoming from the young lad. Food OMG!! The Lamb pie absolutely delicious & a good portion, when our food was brought out the gentleman saw we had a dog, Then returned with a big bowl of water & some treats. Would definitely recommend. Look forward to returning.

We ate at the Roebuck Inn after hearing about their pies. They didn’t disappoint, they were absolutely delicious. You choose your pie then a selection of different choices of sides, including 3 types of mash. I needed gluten free and there was a big selection of pies and other food available. The staff were all very helpful and friendly… we’ll definitely go back.

Really lovely country pub. Went with family after a big walk around the local forest. Food excellent - big portions, very well presented and really tasty. Priced very reasonably too. Very welcoming staff and our (muddy!) dog was made to feel very welcome too. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

Very happy we stopped off here on our walk around the area. The staff were very pleasant, lovely location and very well presented. The vegan curry was great and a well sized portion for the price, my wife also very much enjoyed her omelette. I would definitely recommend this pub.

A nice pub with many beers on tap. Friendly staff with clean and welcoming inside. Well priced, 5 hot chocolates for 15.00. Very large with huge marshmallows. I would recommend more signs near the walk path(old rail road) as we would not have known about it, if it wasn't for a friend remembering about the pub from years ago.

This gorgeous pub/hotel was recommended to us by a work colleague who had spent her wedding night here and what a wonderful find it is! We had a family reunion with family travelling all the way from France for Sunday lunch. The staff and owners could not have been more welcoming, attentive or kind. A fact I thought was rather telling was that it was a wet, windy & muddy day with lots of families, couples, the odd damp child and numerous soggy dogs popping in and everybody was welcomed with a warm smile and friendly service. The menu was perfect with a good variety including selection of portion sizes and the food delivered with perfect preparation and wonderful flavour. All things considered this pub was an excellent place for us all to catch up and feed our tummies. It's a rare place to find nowadays where you are not having to shout over the noise of loud, piped music, fruit machines or rowdy mobs. A good, traditional, cozy country pub surrounded by beautiful countryside with exceptionally clean tables & facilities catering for all ages and muddy species. Highly recommend the pies, the Sunday roast and the vegetarian options. There was nothing negative about our experience, thank you for a really lovely Sunday afternoon 🤗

Stopped for Sunday lunch here after searching and seeing Google reviews of 'the best Sunday Roast'. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and the pub was well presented, but the food was just okay. Big portions but pretty basic otherwise. Not the worst, not the best!

Visited twice whilst we were camping up the road. First visit we had a lovely meal - the pie menu is fantastic! The next day we stopped just for drinks on the walk back from Wickham. Great service, warm welcome for dogs and a cosy atmosphere. Not busy on either occasion which was a real shame as it's a great pub and we would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

Really lovely mothers day lunch today for myself and my mum, friendly attentive staff, delicious food, and so welcoming to my young children and mum's dogs. We felt cared for 😊 Nice garden area too and we loved the complimentary glass of prosecco for mothers day which was an unexpected bonus!

We had scampi and chips which was very good and so was the coffee. Staff friendly and helpful. One star lost because we would have liked a few olives or maybe bit of nice bread to eat while waiting, but none on offer.

So much of an improvement since previous landlady Sarah tried to promote Eastern European sausage rubbish. When she realised people didn't like her fayre she moved on. Now new Landlord serves good food and some lovely beers

We visited here despite a daming write up in the local paper. You can never trust the media! This same paper gave the Bridge Tavern in old portsmouth a 5 star rating. We went there with friend and it was a total disaster. Anyway, Barry and Dave gave us a warm welcome as did there staff. As I had worked a long day And was tired I just had scampi and chips but the home cooked steak and ale pie my partner had was delicious.

The Roebuck is a lovely cosy pub with a relaxed atmosphere. On the 3rd Tuesday of every month Southern Swing play big band music there. Good food and a selection of real ales.

This was the second time I have visited this pub It was freezing cold as none of the log fires were on, After a good 15mins of complaining it was cold we were eventually offered an electric heater & blankets (but who wants a blanket around them while eating at a pub) Food was fantastic both times. Staff are nice and Friendly, however they are a little show at first.

Nice atmosphere and location. Friendly service. They unfortunately lose one star as we asked for a "starter" to come out with the mains, it came on it's own as a starter, clearly this wasn't communicated properly. And another star because I ordered fish and chips and out came what looked like your typical frozen Birds Eye fish, nothing special at all.

Had to initial wait to see if the Roasts left could used by me and a friend, only 15 mins, as we waited the offered to give us a free coffee and the sausages we ordered for the dogs. Roasts were very nice and staff were very friendly and pleasant

Should have walked out shortly after walking in. Abrupt, rude landlord who didn't seem interested in our custom, then a 10 minute wit for anyone to take our drinks order, never mind food!! 40 minutes plus after finally ordering food, I have to ask how much longer it would be. As there was a delay on one of the meals I decided to cancel and get the hell out of this establishment. The only 2 drinks we ordered were awful and I have no clue as the quality of the food as it never materialised. Unless you enjoy being treated as an inconvenience, ignored and have all the time in the world to sit waiting, I strongly advise you to go elsewhere.

Absolutely disgraceful meal. All food you can tell is brought in frozen and warmed up. Rack of ribs, was awful. Chips taste like old oil used to cook. Never again.
