Was good pub for walkers. Now nicely done up and the home for Krishna Indian Restaurant. This is the family run business that used to be on the A32 into Gosport. That was really excellent and the best Indian I have ever been to. We will see if this is still the case. Meanwhile it still has a good garden with tables.

The quality of meat seafood etc absolutely first class Great decor and nice pub garden. I have recommended it to friends family all have loved it. If you go I guarantee you will be a regular. It has been voted best food in Hampshire on OpenTable it’s not hard to see why. Good value for the quality of food. Lots of free parking. 100% recommend

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! It does get busy - so make sure you book a table! They plan to do B&B's and Takeaways soon too! Fantastic!!

Came here for a birthday meal it was amazing. Staff were amazing and even though we hadn’t booked they managed to find a table for us in the restaurant. On the contrary to what you may think it was around £50 for two of us with samosas popadoms and obviously two amazing curries. The jalfrezi was absolutely amazing complements to the chef whomever it is. Definitely will come again!

We ate at the Roebuck Inn after hearing about their pies. They didn’t disappoint, they were absolutely delicious. You choose your pie then a selection of different choices of sides, including 3 types of mash. I needed gluten free and there was a big selection of pies and other food available. This gorgeous pub/hotel was recommended to us by a work colleague who had spent her wedding night here and what a wonderful find it is! We had a family reunion with family travelling all the way from France for Sunday lunch. The staff and owners could not have been more welcoming, attentive or kind. A fact I thought was rather telling was that it was a wet, windy & muddy day with lots of families, couples, the odd damp child and numerous soggy dogs popping in and everybody was welcomed with a warm smile and friendly service. The menu was perfect with a good variety including selection of portion sizes and the food delivered with perfect preparation and wonderful flavour. All things considered this pub was an excellent place for us all to catch up and feed our tummies. It's a rare place to find nowadays where you are not having to shout over the noise of loud, piped music, fruit machines or rowdy mobs. A good, traditional, cozy country pub surrounded by beautiful countryside with exceptionally clean tables & facilities catering for all ages and muddy species. Highly recommend the pies, the Sunday roast and the vegetarian options. There was nothing negative about our experience, thank you for a really lovely Sunday afternoon 🤗

They unfortunately lose one star as we asked for a "starter" to come out with the mains, it came on it's own as a starter, clearly this wasn't communicated properly. Should have walked out shortly after walking in. Abrupt, rude landlord who didn't seem interested in our custom, then a 10 minute wit for anyone to take our drinks order, never mind food!! 40 minutes plus after finally ordering food, I have to ask how much longer it would be. As there was a delay on one of the meals I decided to cancel and get the hell out of this establishment. The only 2 drinks we ordered were awful and I have no clue as the quality of the food as it never materialised. Unless you enjoy being treated as an inconvenience, ignored and have all the time in the world to sit waiting, I strongly advise you to go elsewhere.

Popped in for lunch on way to afternoon activity as interested to see what new owners would have done with the pub. Sadly, our lunch had not appeared after half an hour. When we chased it up, having given waiting staff our time deadline, we were told it wouldn't be long. Eventually lunch appeared and landlord brought it out. No word of apology. Lovely waitress reappeared as we were leaving and told us our order had been binned by the waitress behind the bar! Apparently, she didn't understand what it was for so she threw it in the bin! Teething troubles, yes, but after a couple of months! Absolutely no sign of any apology by management, even though it was the landlord himself that finally brought our lunch out. It's not difficult. You make a mistake and then you can do what you can to smooth it over and get people to come back rather than leave negative review. Management made no effort at all.

Asked for poached eggs which they happily accommodated and cooked perfectly. Free parking right outside which is almost unheard of and free WiFi too! This place is well worth a visit if you're passing by (normally go to the local Wetherspoons which is always a disappointment), This cafe deserves to be a lot busier, you could travel a lot further and only get half the breakfast they sell here. Queued for at least 10 minutes before our order was taken. Nice chap on the till, however there were only 2 members of staff there, on a busy evening in the summer holidays. We waited outside for our order, realising groups of people in front had been waiting 20 minutes + for their food. The cleanliness outside was horrendous, picnic tables dirty, rubbish all over the floor. We finally received our order after a 30 minute wait, there were no chips, thankfully she was happy to add them, the fish had such dark batter on it didn’t look very appealing. Taste overall was ok, but we were so hungry at this point we’d of eaten anything! We wouldn’t go back nor recommend.

Great burger but that’s where the good story ends…. Had to wait about 10 mins after an online order on a very slow responding screen. Place looked tired and dirty, topped off by a fat/waste container with a disgusting waste pipe attachment on the counter. Food arrived in a bag despite ticking eat in - no big issue here. Self service coke machine broken , second one out of coke. Third no ice and a very warm non fizzy drink was dispensed. Finally found the ice in the second machine worked. Back to meal, whopper was actually very good. The loaded fries were terrible and literally grease was pouring out the bottom of the box. Whopper was £4.99 total bill was over £10 so the fries and drink raised the price and I felt totally conned. Wasn’t worth complaining as by looking at the staff they couldn’t give a monkeys about the place.
