I definitely recommend this chinese, it’s the best Chinese in Retford. The workers serve you in such calm and dutiful manner and the food is absolutely luscious. I usually get the king prawn fried rice and it brightens ups my day every time I eat it.best Chinese ever !!

This place is the best Chinese in Retford, the staff are always polite and standards stay high even during busy hours. I recommend the salt and chilli chicken as they are always mouth watering. 5/5 Definitely recommend.

If I could give this zero stars I would, the worst Chinese we’ve ever had, no taste,watery even the salt & chilli chips tasted like they were old, absolutely disgusting 🤮 & so fed up we spent £20 for nothing,had better from an Iceland microwave meal so that tells you everything.

Wow erm were do I start chicken fried rice was boiled rice ask for soya they put bottle on top not fried or mixed in asked for salt pepper chicken if I would have finished them I'd look like a smoked with no teeth as they were like small rocks and dry owner was not happy but oh thanks and goodnight

Chinese Chef over all is a great producer of Chinese and Cantonese food (done the British way of course) this means you are sure to find something you will like. Pros: Reliable Value for money Good Selection However Chinese Chef does suffer from what a lot of Chinese restaurants do in England. With no digital presence such as a Facebook page (even this google business page isn't managed) it is notoriously hard to find any information online (including the menu). The Decor is off-putting as it feels dirty (its not, its just dated) and with a cash only system in a modern world it makes accessibility to those who aren't paid cash in hand. Cons: No digital presence Menu hard to find online/physically Stereotypical Chinese Takeaway look Cash Only Personally I recommend: Garlic Chicken Sweet Chilli Crispy Beef Salt and Pepper Chicken Salt and Chilli Chips

Great takeaway. Particularly the Crispy shredded beef. Sadly delivery speed was terribly slow last time we used them. Told us 1hr to 1h20. Took 2h30, which if they’d told me might have been ok as I’d have had a snack. Probably won’t order again if they can’t sort out delivery times.

Moved to Retford Dec 19 and tried a few before finding this one. Service was great. Delivery speedy. Then last 2 weeks have noticed portions have gone from being in a plastic container to a metal tray with card lid. (1/3 less of a portion! ) also pancake roll has shrunk to the size of a spring roll! Delivery took nearly 2 hrs when was promised in an hr or there abouts. No Prawn Crackers which r usually free! Now £20 which used to feed me and my partner well is barely enough for 1 person. Thinking of looking elsewhere which is disappointing as the food is lovely 😣

Amazing food and amazing staff! They have a great service and they still provide the standards when busy. The staff always have a smile on their face and as a customer makes me very happy. The food is good quality and is very flavourful. I recommend the egg fried rice. Amazing!!! Keep up the good work.

7/10 , not bad for Retford. There are much worse out there.

One of the best Chinese take aways in Retford!they always say their going to be 45 mins to an hour and then it's literally 10-15 mins which is brilliant! It's cheap, comes piping hot and always tasty! Brilliant I highly recommend it!

Normally brilliant, however Kung Po made with carrots and potatoes???? Not very nice tbh. Special curry awesome as usual though.

One of Retfords premier Chinese take aways, always friendly, open late nights, good prices and always quick to deliver. Particularly good the house special chop suey. Why not give them a go now, they are probably open.
