China Star in Sedgemoor

Had take away from here a few times over the last 18 months or so. Consistently excellent, great value and good service. Have only ever done collection as it’s local but always efficient and warm. Wouldn’t go anywhere else

This take away is in a neighbouring village to me but it’s better than my local. It was recommended by friends and it doesn’t disappoint, everything my husband and I have tried from here has been very tasty. My personal recommendation is the chicken crispy noodles in black bean sauce. Online ordering is available and so is delivery to local postcodes.

Great food as usual,ribs were fab as was the duck chowmein, never had a bad meal from here,so will continue using them in the future, beats the Nailsea chinese take aways.

Really disappointed ordered omelette and chips to pick up about 5.20pm Chips the worst we have ever had, too dry to eat,felt like yesterday's left overs Omelette also rubbery and filling ( meat and prawns) very tough.

Booked a collection online informed 20:00 time. When I arrived told they had not received order. Told them I had confirmation reply and an order number. A lady then came out from the kitchen looked on computer and obviously found my order then asked for the money then went off to cook the food no apology no nothing. Then a 20 minute wait handed the food with a lame sorry. To add insult to injury the lemon chicken was dry and not worth the wait.

Tried the set meal for three and it proved to be one of the best Chinese meals I have ever tasted. Service and home delivery to the wilds was excellent and with a smile. We are just deciding whether to eat the left overs for lunch or make a whole second meal, such was the quantity.

Food arrived 30 minutes late and was stone cold. I rang straight away to complain as very disappointed and the woman on the phone was very unapologetic and rude. Food after blasted in microwave was bland, meat tough and not worth the bother. Would not recommend at all. If there was a choice to give zero stars or minus would have chosen that!

I’ve eaten Chinese Take out from them twice this week. On both occasions, the meals were ready in 20 mins, tasty and good value. I particularly loved the beef chow mien and crispy chili beef.

This is actually a very good takeaway... well-cooked food... plenty of meat in the dishes... vegetables in dishes not too overcooked. I suspect the previous 1-star rating is more about frustration around home delivery than the quality of the food.

Took the takeaway over 1.5 hours to get food to us only 2 miles away. When phoned to ask on the status of the order, and to ask if anything could be done on the price thanks to the huge delay the staff were not only rude but also lied about being the 'only Chinese in the area'. First impressions mean everything, and as such we will not be ordering from here again.
