The staff were friendly but the food was not very nice i will not be using this takeaway again

I never write reviews but here we are. I’ve just moved into the area, and found this place down the road from me. Staff are extremely friendly. Food is absolutely amazing, can’t knock it at all. Even ended up with 8 extra spring rolls.😂 I will be back

even though the food was delivered on time some of the food was only luk warm and others cold curry had set was like thick jelly food seems to have went back and i am a regular customer think al give this a miss for a while now

Usual chap that serves not there..usually just get an all in one tray meal with no problems when asking for half of each sauce.. but apparently that's not allowed anymore. Just to let you know china star, there are other Chinese takeaways around that are far more accommodating to the customers needs. With your high prices and charging for a bag to take your meal home.. you need to look at the way you serve people. Poor .

Ordered at 6.25 pm on a Saturday, food was here and on my plate by 6.40 pm. Food was hot and tasty they even gave me free spring rolls and crackers. Will definitely be ordering again.

Food was actually 40 mins early, it was piping hot and really tasty plus the portions were massive. They even chucked in some free prawn crackers and spring rolls.

The egg fried rice was the star of the show, same with the gravy that came with the steak. The steak could’ve been a little less tough, but it did taste really nice. 2-3 minute less cooking & it would’ve been perfect. The ribs were okay, but it think that’s more about me starting to go off ribs in general so no complaints there xD overall, the food was really nice, but the steak could do with a little less cooking time. The rice was amazing though 😁

The food arrived piping hot however the duck was dry and the chips were hard and tasted dry. Chicken curry was nice very tender chicken but could have done with more of it, as there seemed to be more onions and mushrooms than actual meat.

I have given China Star 6* before but unfortunately this time the food was pretty bad. The salt & chilly chips and special was dry and possibly a little overcooked. The quality of food was certainly not same as before and unfortunately we wouldn’t go back again.

Tonight my Satay had strong curry sauce undertones, unlike usually .. still nice though but not what I was expecting .

Bay of prawn crackers was very small and didn't suffice who they were for, the house special sweet and sour had more veg than meat very disappointing other than that was ok

Asked for no mushroom and came with loads of mushroom. Curry was very watery. Chicken skewers not good. Went right down hill

Large quanity of food , and prices very reasonable compared to most and some extras for free which was a lovely gesture not my favourite chinese but defo the best portion sizes.

Absolutely fantastic. Piping hot. Prompt delivery. Delivery guy was super polite. Can't wait to have left overs for breakfast as portions were huge. Also no issue with my ammendment too the menu. 5*

China Star has become my go-to take-away for Chinese food. Been ordering here for years and the food quality is always great and the portion sizes are generous.

Stay clear of this place, experienced very bad food poisening from king prawn and chicken sweet and sour sauce, this has put me off Chinese all together

The food had no flavour. Our main dish had so much oil in it, it had separated from the sauce despite stirring it. The noodles were also swimming in oil. Never ordering again.
