China Royal Restaurant in Chichester

Very good service food was brought to our table quickly and when we had finished and were ready for our next course it was promptly served. Staff were friendly and attentive food was delicious. Would recommend 100%.

Food was terrible no meat on ribs, burnt chicken balls and sticky rice

I have NEVER, ever, had Chinese food as delicious as the food served at China Royal, Chichester! My mum, partner, 2 children and I were on holiday at a local campsite and after a walk around Chichester Cathedral decided to head here for dinner. We visited on a Saturday evening so paid £25 per adult and £12.50 per child, we arrived just as it opened and were sceptical as it was empty, but as we started to eat, it began to fill up to nearly all tables filled, and for good reason! The food was amazing, the service was amazing and we had an all round brilliant experience. Will definitely be returning!

Ok, this isn’t a posh or expensive restaurant so don’t be thinking it’s a 5 star for that. We don’t like all you can eat buffets. This however, was completely different for us. You choose your food from a menu and if you want more (and have eaten what you have been served so far) then you order more. The food was amazing ! Really enjoyed our family evening here and would defo recommend for those with a budget of £25pp. I’ve eaten in far more expensive Chinese restaurants and this was better. Lovely meal, lovely staff. The three for atmosphere was because of some people causing trouble with no just cause. The staff handled it impeccably. The people abusing them should be ashamed.

Ordered a takeaway as we were on holiday, the food was hot and delicious. Staff were efficient, but as we didn't dine in I can't comment on the atmosphere. However the restaurant did look clean and welcoming.

We were a bit apprehensive coming here due to such negative reviews on TripAdvisor, however we came on Friday evening for the All you can Eat for £25 each. Amazing selection, we were spoiled for choice. The food was piping hot and fresh. The service was amazing, so friendly and food came out very quickly. The resturant was almost full and with people also popping in and out to collect their takeaways. Not sure why there are any negative comments about atmosphere as that certainly wasn't an issue!

Busy restaurant, but plenty of seating . £25 per person at night all you can eat . Very quick service and nice staff . Also nice dessert 🍨. But you pay extra. But all under a £5 .. food was delicious 😋. Definitely go again 😋 👌.

Had an absolutely fantastic eat as much as you like meal on Sunday..Every dish was delicious, especially the chips-they were fantastic(probably the best I've ever had)My friends couldnt get enough (quite literally) of the salt & pepper chicken..Also highly recommend the banana fritter for dessert...It was a taste sensation!!! The food was not good. Over cooked, dry and tasteless. When returned come back the exact same but just sauce on! Staff didn’t seem to sympathise or care at all when we told them

I was new to the city and I wanted to explore the city and by chance this restaurant caught my attention. I tried out the vegetarian option available and ordered Salt and garlic fries along with mixed Vegetable fried rice. The food was in decent portions and ingredients used were fresh and really delicious. The ambience was quiet and peaceful and I really enjoyed my meal.

Been coming here for several years, last few times not good, but now really gone downhill. Hoovering around you before 930 and bleaching restaurant whilst customers are still eating. Food has very small portions

Used to be best Chinese in local area ...food nowhere near as good as it used to be buffet food not good some not even hot and prices to expensive for buffet now ...in a party of 3plus people we all said the same ..be going elsewhere

4 adults poisoned after eating here Thursday evening!

Both me and my father ended up getting bad food poisoning from here after we ate here Monday 29th January, potion sizes were a joke, a small bowl of rice split between 5 people and £24 a head, rip off never again Only saving grace was quick service and attentive waiting staff

Food was great on a Monday nite, but staff made us feel like we were an inconvenience, told us at 9.20 its last orders but web site says 10.30 !! Whilst moping the floor with bleach at 9.30 !! With this attitude I would rather spend my hard earned money elsewhere Shame

This was the first food delivery we’ve had from a Chinese restaurant and it was so good! Fast delivery on a Sunday evening and delicious food for all of us

I got a small take away here the other night and it wasn't that great. The pancake roll was not hot all the way through with almost raw vegetables in there. I had chicken fried rice that had next to no flavour. I won't bother going back.

Visited recently with family of 5, it wasn’t very busy and we were seated and had our orders taken immediately. 5* for service staff were attentive and helpful. Food was hot however our chicken skewers and chicken balls were raw and for that reason I will have to say that’s the last time I’ll visit but no complains for the rest of the food. I’m sure the staff would have changed it if we had complained but we just got on with it.

A few early pints in one or two of Chichester numerous pubs ,then on to the restaurant for a sit down meal! As usual the menu was comprehensive and certainly enough choice for everyone! This is an eat as much as you like Chinese restaurant so not a great deal of atmosphere and the floor could do with a brush, But the food is good! Hot and plentiful! Staff are efficient and polite! When we started frequenting this establishment 4/5 years ago the price per person was £16 , it is now £25 plus drinks(reasonable prices) So all told a great meal at a reasonable price! Definitely recommend this restaurant! One warning! Don't order the house red wine!!

My favourite place to eat. Staff are hospitable, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The venue is large, so a last minute table booking is never an issue. Food is nothing short of amazing, clearly freshly cooked and tastes great. The delivery is also just as good and delivered fast!

I have been coming here with my family for over 10 years, the customer service and food is amazing, they have always been extra caring as my mother has a gluten intolerance and always cater to her, all the staff are very helpful. Thank you so much for being around guys!

Seems to be a popular venue due to all you can eat format. Sadly the food is so so.

The staff kindly let us in for hour even though it was fully reserved and we didn't book. We paid £24 per person for all you can order buffet. Food was delicious and good portions and you could order as much as you like We definitely got our money's worth and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place.

Ordered a takeaway today and in my chicken curry was a long black hair. Not mine. I was disgusted and couldn't eat my food. Never again.

For the price of the all you can eat its a bargain, choose what you want and its made fresh, no buffet style half warm food here! Delicious!

Went for the Buffett and it was very limited and most of the dishes were empty and not being filled.

Absolutely delicious! Staff amazing, food really hot and well served, buffet style brought to your table, lovely decor and great atmosphere, would be excellent for large parties. Definitely will be revisiting!

Ordered food tonight got home and the chicken balls were raw inside. Phoned them straight away and they refused a refund for the food only for the chicken balls. Unfortunately the chicken balls had been on the other food and contaminated it! They weren’t interested disgusting customer service. Won’t be eating there again and will tell other people not to either.

i eaten in here many times and had more take aways than id like to admit. great portion sizes and great tasting food. ive never been dissapointed. even large takeaway orders have never been wrong

Just had the worst Chinese ever! crispy duck, meat was soggy, pancakes fell apart! Egg fried rice bland and hardly any egg, sweet and sour chicken balls, no sweet and sour sauce, BBQ ribs, no BBQ sauce and bland, chicken chow mien dry and again bland and overall barely warm when it got home. will not be going here again. Number 11 please open on a Tuesday.

Went in at lunch time for the self service buffet. Good quality well cooked food with lots of different choices. Two full to the brim adults and two pints of lager came to well under £40.

Wasn't impressed with currys very watery meat one had hardly any meat but 6 pieces of battered squid in it vegetable curry very little veg in it order of crispy squid not crispy rice was nice as was starter not impressed sorry

Traditional restaurant producing nice and fresh Chinese food. We went A La Carte rather than buffet and requested Crispy Chow Mein Hong Kong style which was wonderful. Great food and price.

On holiday in Chichestee, I ordered a take away over the phone. A very nice lady took the order, said it would be 30 to 45 minutes. It was delivered in half the time, it was wonderful in taste and very good value for money. Quality of service, of food and of value. Thank you!

Seems more expensive than I was expecting. Service slow. I enjoyed the evening with my family but we could have cooked better at home.

All you can eat buffet, very quick service and friendly staff. Huge variety is available to choose from, all food is served as a little portion to avoid wastage, all tasted great. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of staff around to take your order and clear up plates so you're never left too long between orders.

I got a takeaway and was very disappointed, the food was saturated in grease, extremely overcooked and The chow mein had so many strips of onion in it, that I couldn't taste anything else. The price you pay for this kind of poor quality is Very disappointing and I won't be visiting again.

All you can eat for £22 seemed a bit expensive but we were not disappointed as the food was very high quality and kept on coming. Service was prompt and friendly. All dishes were clearly freshly cooked and really delicious. At the end of the day the bill was £62 for two with just one drink each which we thought was pretty pricey for a Chinese meal.

Loved this place, had a lunch there, sufficient variety of dishes, intend to return for more.

Felt we were rushed was not a nice or comfortable atmosphere. Was shown to our table and before we were all seated we were asked to order drinks hadn't even had a chance to look at the menu. .
