This restaurant is situated within the pub The Holly bush. You can eat in but tables can't be reserved. We had a takeaway for four and collected it (we may have had a quick pint while we waited 😉). We found the quality to be really good and there was plenty for all. We will certainly go back there.

This is a Chinese takeaway that also does home deliveries to the local area. There is a full menu as well as set recommendations.

I would say this is the best Chinese ever. We’ve had it numerous times and we’ve never had any problems. 100% would recommend.

Its ok but the waiting times are always so long. Be prepared for an hour and a half wait if your ordering on a Saturday night.

The food tasted like it had been cooked the day before, it made both myself and my girlfriend feel sick. Very tough meat and too much salt on salt and pepper chicken. All in all 1 out of 5 rating, not impressed.

Ordered a takeaway curry and boiled rice as we have had delicious piping hot currys in the past. However today when it arrived it was just about tepid, didn't taste quite as good, was told they don't accept cheques any more. Had no choice but to put it on the microwave as we couldn't enjoy it almost cold. Seems this place has gone downhill since November 2021.

Meat and onions in the curry were visibly burnt , so much I could smell the burning over the curry before I opened it ! Being hungry I plated it up but no looked smelt and tasted burnt -not edible in the least

Food was lovely - being overcharged was not…and when this was raised, the front of house staff member denied all knowledge, despite having repeated the price back to us.

Food is good, but no better than across the road at Southam Kitchen. And Southam Kitchen is cheaper… try their chilli chips! Simply, they are cash only, don’t provide receipts and then short change you and deny it. Save yourself a fiver.

Have tried many a takeaway in the area. China Hall is number 1! Wonderful staff, always so friendly can helpful!!! Delicious food, consistently!!! Never had a bad meal. Highly recommended!!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time ordering from China Hall as our local Chinese was closed for xmas holidays. Ordered a chicken curry and another main dish with appetisers. My girlfriend ordered the chicken curry and the sauce that it was in was absolutely disgusting, wasn't even edible and the meal wasn't eaten. The prawn toast was also very greasy. Won't be using again!

After finishing a rather pleasant week on the grand Union canal and the last night to be spent in wigrams turn marina aboard the narrowboat my wife and I drove into Southam to select a suitable takeaway no menu outside to take with us we photographed the menu in the window and returned to the boat. Just after 17.00hrs we phoned an order through for a ser meal and a side dish19 minutes later I went and collected the order, piping hot, colourful, well cooked and most importantly ENJOYABLE probably one of the best chinese takeaways we've had in a long time. The only criticism, it's not where we live. Would highly recommend.

Good Chinese. The prices are just right and the food is as expected. This is a great reliable solid Chinese doing good Chinese style food for a reasonable price.

We always go to China Hall if we're in the mood for takeaway Chinese food as we feel it's the best around (we collect and live in Leamington) the Salt and Chilli Chicken is fantastic!

Tried to tell the woman over the phone about 10 times my address for her to laugh and act like she didn’t understand what I meant. Just rude, get some manners.

China Hall provides consistently good quality food, at a very reasonable price. Note that they don’t accept credit cards.

My colleagues and I ordered a takeaway from here for the first time this week. Service was very friendly. I ordered mushroom chow mein and thought it was quite nice and not greasy at all. My colleagues weren't so keen, one ordered the Singapore Vermicelli and didn't enjoy it, while a 3rd colleague found the duck chow mein too dry. I suppose it depends on your preference then, I found mine "not greasy" while they found theirs "dry". This place doesn't take card so be sure to bring cash. There's a cash machine just across the street.

Phoned them @ 18h43 with my order for delivery. At 20h05 phoned to enquire where it was. A giggling response was: " we are too busy right now, so no can do!"Up yours, China! The "No can do" is now from me & my family!!!

China Hall never fails to provide great food at a fair price. I call for a delivery, they know me and my address, a little touch but great customer valuing. The variety is excellent and whether collected or delivered, always hot and delicious. I can’t praise China Hall enough. Good job and long May it continue.

Called in , starving, on our way home. There were only 2 others in the place so we thought it would be quick but we sat and watched people coming in to collect their meals for over half an hour before we eventually received our meal! It would have been helpful to have been told the timings so that we could have gone to the pub for a swift one rather than wait there. The meal was nice. Order from home and collect later!!

Decided to order a takeaway for NYE as a treat, & this was recommended by a few local people. Have to say I'm so glad I chose here & will definitely order from them again!!!!! I knew it would be busy with it being NYE so I popped in just after 5pm, opening time. It was already busy with customers, & the phone was ringing constantly (a positive sign). I was greeted with a warm welcome & my order was taken quickly. Food was piping hot when I got home & was pleasantly surprised at the portion sizes (will probably be eating it for New Year's day too - diet TBC...) Best Chinese I've had in years! Special Chow Mein, Chicken curry with rice & chips & sweet & sour chicken balls. Complimentary prawn crackers given too but didn't eat these as not overly keen on them. Despite them being extremely busy, they still took the time to wish me a happy new year!

I ve used this Chinese before but moved away and was travelling through and decided to try again , well this will be the last time I do this we ordered a curry boiled rice sweet and sour king prawns and some banana fritters well where do I start the Food was so bland and no flavour the batter round the king prawns was under cooked almost raw and the curry was so burnt it was bitter the onions I had to take out as they was black and burnt I wouldn’t let my dog eat from here it was rank

They have improved over the years. Good quality and quantity. You get what it says on the tin. Delivery excellent.

Ordered at the take away on a Monday evening at about 7.30pm and food was ready in 15 to 20 minutes. Nobody else came in to make an order over the counter while I was there but the phone rang constantly and clearly most people order in this way; and were generally given a 30 minute wait time. The young woman serving was cheerful, polite and efficient in her dealing with me and the constant telephone orders. We choice the £18.50 menu for 2 and the food was tasty and plentiful - almost too much with the sides of small samosas, little spring rolls and prawn crackers. I would probably order directly from the main menu in future, to avoid waste. I particularly enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken as the chicken was tender and nicely cooked, unlike the chicken one gets in this dish in some Chinese takeaways. Would definitely recommend although I don't know if the wait time would be longer on busier days. It's worth noting that this Chinese takeaway opens on a Monday evening when the two other local Chinese takeaways are closed.

The food we got from here was good quality and fresh. Also the food tastes like it was a 5-star restaurant.

Great food, the duck with cashew nuts is delicious. The friendly, efficient delivery service to Southam and nearby villages is a great bonus.

I have tried every Chinese takeaway in a 15 mile radius, China Hall is in my opinion without doubt the best of the bunch, I have never had a bad meal, it’s the most consistent in terms of taste.

China Hall takeaway never disappoints. The service is excellent, the food always hot and delicious. I have been a patron of the China Hall for several years and never once had cause to complain.

Nice food, friendly staff, love the crispy beef here. Curry a little spicier than the others which can be a good thing.

Bland & Boring just like Southam Kitchen over the road, you would think they would both be upping there game to compete for peoples business but they both do the same stuff to the same bland & boring quality, we avoid & make the effort to go else where.

There were 5 of us eating we all chose differently. All were delighted with our meals. It was delivered at the time stated .No more to add really.

I use the take away on a regular basis and the food is consistently good and the service is quick and friendly. I love the Singapore vermicelli. I also use the home delivery service especially on cold winter evenings.

Just had another fantastic take away delivered to the door. Had a beef curry n chips with a crispy shredded beef ( the spicy one ) both absolutly faultless. Friendly lady on the phone ( very polite ) who takes your order. Give it a go you cant go wrong..

It's okay, it's not the finest takeaway in the world but it's not horrendous. The food is a little bland and lacking the flavour of other takeaways that I've had - for example the PawPaw chain (Warwick, Leamington & Banbury - I am in no way affiliated by the way). However, the staff are lovely and very friendly, the front of house is clean and inspires confidence in the food. It would be good if they took card payments, but they don't. I will say though, that their ribs were really good. My order was:BBQ Ribs - great. Beef in a Satay sauce - alright, but bland. Boiled Rice - grand. Singapore Chow Mein - okay. Crispy Chilli Squid - hot but bland. Prawn Crackers - prawn crackers.

Just placed an order at 5.04pm, when asking address firstly she read it back wrong.Once given order over the phone was told would be 45mins, at 6.05pm I rang to see where the food was.Was told not ready yet!Not ready?You mean you haven't even started it and forgot about us.2 hungry kids and told would be another 25 minutes.Joke,still sat waiting for it now.First time trying this place and won't bother ever again,I'll stick to the much better option of The Water Margin in Long Itchington even if it means I have to go and collect.

Food always tasty and really nicely cooked! Staff extremely friendly and its always really busy! Delivery service is great, food always hot when delivered.

Love the food from here its easier to go in a order and go for a beer across the road while its being done. Good prices and great food

Had a takeaway from here tonight. We struggled to get through on the phone so went in to order. It was very busy and the food took 45minutes. However, the food was freshly cooked, hot and delicious. I would recommend it.

I often order take away from here, the crispy duck is awesome, good ribs and nice service. I think it'a a little pricey but what the heck, it's a treat.

We had friends for dinner and due to unexpected circumstances we had to use a take away. We chose China Hall and it did not disappoint. Whilst it took a very long time to be served the end result was superb, we all enjoyed every dish. Highly recommend.

Thought I would leave a review have used China Hall for many years and the past year we have received a friendly and quality service with delivery to our door. Even when it's very busy the service and food quality remains great and the delivery estimates are in the main accurate.

Very tasty. And properly cooked. I had a lot of Chinese food in my life and it is very good this one. And the fried rice was delicious. Only the take away was too small in my option.

Ordered from here for a change as had been using an alternative locally as had been disappointed with the quality previously. I was really pleasantly surprised and will definitely be using them again. The shrimp curry and chicken fried rice was freshly cooked and tasted delicious.

For a Friday treat, called up to ask for options. Told 1hr 15min for delivery, or I could collect in half an hour in a “booked slot” (New to me!). Turned up bang on time, to be told that they were “bagging it up”. Watched with interest as people arrived to place orders, to be told 15 – 20 min for the order to be made.This interest turned to irritation after a longer than expected wait. “They’re just finishing it off”. After 25 minuites wait, it became pretty clear that they had not started the order until I arrived to collect it. Frustrated, after spending £25, I checked the order at the car. No rice. When I asked about this I was told that I could wait for a rice if I wished (well, that would be great – if I had another half an hour to waste!), and that I hadn’t actually ordered it in the first place, hence why it wasn’t in the order. Upon arrival at home, *after* the time I was quoted for delivery (although I’d not have put money on *that* based on this experience), I added up the order and found that either their prices have just gone up be weirdly the same amount as some rice, or I had in fact ordered and paid for the rice.Not worth the phone call to complain.An outlet that clearly couldn’t make their lack of interest in the customers more plain.If you’re a local, you will already have your own opinion, and may love the place. If you are new to the area / place – my suggestion? Don’t bother. As someone else has commented, food places in Southam seem to be so poor beacuse they can be. Save your cash, and don't bother.If you have the time, do what I will do next time and buy a meal deal from some like M&S – cheaper, reliable and delivers what it promises. Last time I bother with a "traditional" chinese - the supermarket offerings are so much better, both in value and quality.Can’t really comment on the quality. It was pretty poor, but assume that it was down to the rush in the kitchen.

this place is existing because its one of only two Chinese take away in Southam. the food is of very poor quality its never consistent in its taste, I don't know where the chefs did there training but it wasent in another Chinese restaurant
