Good value takeaway with decent food. We ordered on the phone and collected 15 mins later. Food was piping hot and tasty.

Live nearby for years but only used this takeaway for the first time recently and annoyed with myself that I hadn’t used it sooner. All the food was delicious with good portion sizes making it very good value. This will definitely be my go to takeaway for Chinese food from now on.

Disappointed. Our suspicions were alerted when delivery was too quick from the time of placing the order. This put into question that our food could not have been freshly cooked. Our suspicions were confirmed upon eating. Everything, including the rice, had been microwaved from a precooked state (frozen?). The result was that we had mushy main dishes as well as mushy rice. Unfortunately, there was nothing about this meal worthy of awarding any stars. We do not recommend.

Just your standard take away, been using this place for over 40 years, so that should be recommendation enough

Ordered tonight at 7:10pm was told 45mins to 1 hour. Order was £36.50 so not insignificant IMO. It’s exactly 8:51pm on my iPhone and the order is not here. We have remained loyal to China city for many years however this is beyond a joke and NOT the first time delivery has been late. It would be a different story if the ship had been up- front about delivery times however outright lies are not acceptable. We will never use again. Shame as previous owners cared about customers.

Have been receiving delivery and collecting regularly from China City for several years. Very fast, friendly service and favourite Chinese food.

Very slow service today which was disappointing. Kept taking food orders even though people had ordered 2 hrs previously still had to wait. Clearly had some major problem in the kitchen to get so tied up. We eventually canceled and ordered from takeaway up the road. Will try another time😒

Moved to Ramsgate a couple of years ago and hadn't found a decent Chinese food takeaway (in fact one, near the train station, even came with a complimentary hair in a chicken ball). However, now, I've found one I'm happy with. Food was hot, tasty (beef in hot chilli sauce actually had a warm kick to it), and didn't take forever to be served. Don't have takeaway very often but when I do, I will be back.

This is the Greatest Chinese in Thanet, Use to go in for pick up years ago then moved away and now I am back in the area and ordering from them the food tastes amazing and the whole family agree. No Chinese has compared and I’ve never had a bad meal. Highly Recommended!!

Best Chinese I have ever had by far, we ordered quarter duck, spare ribs, salt chilli prawns and chicken fried rice, this is simply the best Chinese around with out a doubt, order from here and you'll never go elsewhere else. Got a takeaway from here while we were visiting Ramsgate. Polite staff, tasty food and really fast delivery! Food also came piping hot.

The food was amazing, but we had to wait around 1 hour for our food and that was slightly disappointing. I do recommend the food but I would make sure you pick it up because the delivery takes a long time.

Ordered my Chinese at 5:30 was told an hour and half hour it’s now 7.52pm and my Chinese still isn’t here and I can’t get through to the Chinese to ask how much longer! Not a happy customer

We had the Singapore vermicelli and Singapore rice (they were very tasty and spicy) and they went well with the Sweet and Sour chicken balls and the Shredded beef. The food was delivered on time and the person I talked to on the phone and the delivery driver were very friendly. We will order for China City again and we highly recommend China City if you want an excellent take-away in Ramsgate area.

Wouldn't normally take the time to review but they deserve the mention and good work should be appreciated. The food is probably the best Chinese I've had in a long while, they were happy to take my order at 10:50pm, and no problem delivering to the outskirts of Ramsgate. The food was piping hot too. Will be using them as my regular service from now on.

There are many rubbish Chinese takeaways in Thanet, but this was not one of them. Huge portion sizes for the dishes, great value for money. You have definitely earned repeat custom from us! Thank you!

We had a nice take-away from China City and we LOVED all dishes. The food was excellent and the portions were quite generous. We had a Spicy set menu with a very spicy chicken with black beans sauce dish (my partner thought that dish was the best). I very liked the shredded beef dish as well as the spicy noodles. The dish we loved the most was the salt and spicy mushrooms dish !!. The food was delivered on time and all the staff (the person on the phone and the delivery person) were friendly. In addition, the cost was quite reasonable. We will certainly have other take-away from China City!!!

Generally a fantastic Chinese take away however very disappointed in the quality of chicken used in their curry. Probably why I been happy to give them 5 stars having usually pork, prawns and duck

Had black mold on onions was delivered within 10 mins of ordering been dumping and vomating all night will be in contact with the health and safety aforates if I do not get my money back !

First time of trying, but not too bad. Tried the Thai Hot and Sour soup, which was really hot, but well cooked. The rest of the meal was fine and seems good value for money, and delivery was exactly on time. Will use again, but maybe change the soup!

We tasted China City for the first “but not for the last time” tonight, and I must say, we were rather impressed. I myself experienced the salt & chili chicken (dry) and oh gosh and what a taste of heaven it was. Thank you. My partner devoured a scrumptious looking mushroom chow mein which unfortunately I wasn’t quick enough to sample. He also thanks you. Good Chinese food, fast delivery, decent prices, sometimes the flavours can be hit and miss and sometimes the cooking of the food can be over. however, pleasant, know what you're going to get and will continue to order from here. Never late.

I have been a regular customer of here for many years and have found this to be one of the very best Chinese takeaways in Thanet for both quality and value. Owners are friendly and helpful, food is usually very prompt and piping hot when delivered. They can be a bit heavy with salt during cooking but will happily cut down or omit altogether if asked. Recommended!
