Our family visited Chin Chin Ice Cream and decided to try the intriguing Tonka Bean flavor. Known for its unique mix of vanilla, cinnamon, and almond notes, this flavor was quite an adventure. Interestingly, Tonka Bean is banned in the U.S. due to its high coumarin content, which can be toxic in large quantities. While safe in small amounts, it’s not commonly found in American desserts. Though we preferred some of the other flavors, trying the Tonka Bean was an unforgettable experience, adding a touch of the forbidden to our treat!

The ice cream flavours are unique and delicious with an interesting selection of sundae styles and toppings. We tried the tonka bean (vanilla) on top of a warm vegan cookie and the brown butter caramel in a brownie sandwich. Everything was really good and made fresh. I wanted to try the tonka bean on top of their sticky toffee pudding but it was sold out when we got there. The desserts are reasonably priced here too. The closest tube station is Tottenham Court Road and there are many busses that frequent the area too. The dessert spot is close to China Town and many popular theatres are nearby.

We came to chin chin labs as my other half has been wanting to try their somewhat famous hot chocolate with the torched marshmallow for a while, and it didn’t disappoint. These are a chain in London with a couple of locations this one specifically that we went to is near Tottenham Court Road train station. The inside is small with somewhat limited seating but we managed to grab a chair and table fairly quickly. We ordered a hot chocolate with marshmallow and also a vegan griddled cookie dough desert. The staff were very friendly and helpful with our order and my other half has a dairy intolerance so they helped us in the ordering process. The hot chocolate can be made vegan by having oat or soya milk. The desert comes with ice cream but we weren’t a fan of the only vegan flavour which is banana so we opted for marshmallow instead although we could of also had the honeycomb, the molten chocolate crack instead and others which are also dairy free. The portion sizes are good, the hot chocolate is small but it’s so rich you wouldn’t want a larger size the cookie dough was warmed and had gooey chocolate the size was good as it is very sweet you wouldn’t want much more. The total was around £12 for both which is on the slightly dearer side but it’s all good quality and comes with good service.

Just happened to spit this place while we walked around the many outlets and by lanes of Soho, London. Great desserts and icecream and a busy place. It’s a very small size outlets but offers a fantastic choice of ice creams and a good variety.

A friend recommended this place. It was so cool, we were served by Aurora and Julia who were super enthusiastic and explained the different ice creams and when they served the ice cream they pre-melted it with a blow torch to soften it. it was amazing. Have already been back since. 5 stars.

This was my first time at Chin Chin! A friend of mine had recommended it knowing that I was a tough critic for ice cream. I’m not a big toppings guy so I chose the banana pudding ice cream flavor and got the marshmallow waffle cone. OMG!!! Talk about mind blown! Never thought melted marshmallow with ice cream would be this good. I just want to Thank Javin who helped me with creating the perfect Monday cheat day meal. I can’t wait to come back! Im telling all my friends about Chin Chin in Los Angeles. Thank you Chin Chin!! Thank you Javin!! 🤯🍨

Slightly confused by more average reviews on Tripadvisor, I visited Chin Chin earlier this month and found the quality and range of ice cream flavours and toppings to be excellent. As for value for money, central London ice cream parlours are always fairly pricey - it is what it is. Staff at Chin Chin were very friendly and made it a fun experience, shout out to Bea, Julia, Sophie and Aurore!

I have to say, I love ice cream but I was really underwhelmed by this place. The portion size is decent but the venue is very cramped and has no vibe. The ice cream itself is also not great. I wouldn't go here again.

This is a very basic eatery with plastic chairs. Small shop. The ice cream looked good, but I had the hot chocolate with torched marshmallow fluff. It looked pretty. It's nice enough, but expensive for what you get. Small portion size.

I ordered chocolate ice cream with cherries. I was handed apple pie ice cream. I asked have you given me the wrong flavour? The girl said no we dont have anymore chocolate. The audacity of handing me a completely different flavour without asking me first. My friend had the cherry pie which she said tasted like a cheap supermarket pie heated up. £8 an ice cream is a joke too. Very disappointing from a place I have been wanting to try for a long time. The girl who served me seemed shy but she needs work on her communication skills and not hand customers random ice cream.

Very tasty sticky toffee sundae. It’s been a while I had that dessert and it was tasty and as it should be. Decent prices and good variety of ice cream gelato

I visited Chin Chin Dessert Club on a Saturday at 1 pm, (Soho) for the Cherry Pie. The pie is available at weekends only. I had the pie “to go”. Apparently, this batch, of pies, was a burnt one. The ones I spotted were charred on top. I had the pie as a snack at home. The pie was average in flavor. The cherry sauce inside was not sweet, nor sour. The pastry tasted nice but slightly dry and hard. I think this pie is over rated. SEE photos.

Having seen numerous foodies on social media highlight this establishment as one of the best dessert and ice-cream cafes in London, we had to visit here as I’m a total sweet-toothed foodie myself. It’s a quaint little cafe neatly tucked into the mazed streets that make up much of the Soho nightlife that likely one would come across accidentally or, like us, only if you were actually looking for it. There are few outdoor tables available to enjoy the warmer weather but that makes up much of my impression from the exterior. Like the outside, the inside too is quite small and cosy with only a few tables available for sitting indoors and only one large menu was available to view near the till - luckily it was quiet and made viewing it much easier. The items available on the menu definitely were not that of a standard dessert cafe. The flavours of ice-creams were worlds away from your standard vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. The toppings too were, to myself, more experimental and varied thus providing new and interesting choices. As for their sundaes and desserts, they were the cherry on top! I opted for a dessert myself; a banoffee ice-cream pie. Now, banoffee is one of those tricky flavours where the majority of places often drowning the subtle banana taste with the intensely strong toffee. Chin Chin however manage to somehow intensify the banana flavour in this dessert and thus, the balance is perfection. Honestly, my tastebuds could not help but melt at the blend of strong banana and toffee flavours unified together so beautifully. I would highly recommend a visit to Chin Chin if you too are a sweet toothed foodie like myself! I too am planning on returning on my next London trip to indulge in their signature hot chocolate with gooey marshmallow which looked perfect for Autumn/Winter time! Indulgent!!

We visited here after all the positive reviews. Expecting a lovely ice cream parlour. Instead a mediocre choice of flavours with fancy names and toppings that were out of jars that looked like they had been sitting for ages. Burnt honeycomb. After disappointing appearances of all the 5 types of ice cream ordered, my daughter had a piece of metal in her tiramasu icecream. Luckily she didn't break her tooth. We were given a brief apology and explanation that consisted of machines being used by the chefs which may explain the metal component!? We left thinking where did it fall off from, are there anymore? Good luck to future customers

Caja de almuerzo muy saludable y abundante. Me tomó mucho tiempo terminar en realidad. . Servicio agradable, no demasiado pretencioso, relajado. ¡recomendado!

Great place for a leisurely beer and some whisky cocktails. Happy hour prices and basic bar food were a bonus. Was surprised to find it wasn’t busy on a Saturday evening but meant the staff were super efficient. Couldn’t find fault with anything.

It all looks OK but service is poor and the bar food served is cheap frozen food at prices that should require a far better quality. There are far better options in London

Fui a desayunar. Mucho a mucho. Este lugar no es para mi. Buen café sin embargo.
