Delicious food and great value for money will defo be back

Went to dine-in after hearing about the place from friends and it didn’t disappoint us. We had Momo’s for starter which tastes good but not the best we had. Loved the Dal Makhani and Paneer butter masala. Naan portion is good so order accordingly. Staff are very helpful and served us well.

Friendly and welcoming staff, the food did not disappointed either: flavors, quantity, price, everything was perfect! As there was a bit of waiting for the starter, they offered us papadum and accompaniement on the house. Recommended to give them a go.

Delicious Indian food in Glasgow(Scotland)! We wana eat street food then we searched on google and found chimes of india restaurant and there we saw menu and order steamed chicken momos and chilli chicken momos. Taste was like wooowwww😍😘. Next day, again we decided to order dinner from there and we ordered desi style chicken curry, chilli garlic chicken, daal makhni, garlic chilli naan, spiced onion. Everything was so good. Even the quantity and quality is above the expectations. Customer service is also good. Owner is polite and friendly. Highly recommend this place.👍🏻😊😊

Fantastic place for food. The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions. They were also very accommodating and made the whole visit pleasant. The food was delicious and the desi lamb on the bone was amazing. Great atmosphere, prices were very reasonable and consistently good. There was the ability to make a reservation which was simple enough. Well worth revisiting again.

Five stars aren’t enough - eleven out of ten from me! It’s a family-run and staffed business with a small menu of outstandingly good, speciality dishes. The chana poori was excellent. Staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful. Excellent value for money. Wish I lived nearby!

This was our second vist and it was just as good as the first. All dishes were beautifully cooked and great atmosphere.

I’m sorry I don’t get any pleasure leaving a bad review what so ever but the 4.9 rating on this place is an absolute fix, lies & deceived me, it ruined mine & my partners anniversary meal, wee did plan on going to Murphy’s Pakora Bar but strangely it was closed, Crimes Of India was just around the corner so after seeing the 4.9 rating, wee jumped a bit to soon & thought wee would try it out, the Mango Lassi was like mango yogurt, far to thick, off to a worrying start, the Chicken Pakora was the nastiest, so dry, the Spicy Chicken Momos weren’t much better, on to the mains, all wee could hear from the kitchen was a microwave door shut then ping, wee got a Pilau Rice, a South Indian Lamb, Chilli Chicken, a Paratha & a Chilli Cheese Naan, none of this food was fresh & made to order, micro rice & shop bought naans, it was terrible, wee left most of it, £58 out of pocket, for a couple that loves Indian Cuisine, this goes down as our worst Indian ever, this is the next day & I’m still raging, a feel as if I’ve been robbed of my hard earned cash, big changes are needed for this place.

The taste is amazing. The spice level is just perfect. Quantity is more than sufficient. And in terms of cost, the food is perfectly priced.

I recently ordered dinner from Chimes of India Restaurant, Glasgow, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We ordered Dal Makhani, Butter Naan, and Kadai Paneer, but the quality and preparation fell short of expectations. The Butter Naan was a major letdown. It arrived burnt, with black patches across it, making it hard and rubbery instead of soft and buttery as expected. This definitely impacted the overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, we had specifically requested both the Kadai Paneer and Dal Makhani to be made non-spicy, with no added chiles. Despite this, the Kadai Paneer was extremely spicy and barely edible for those who avoid heat. It felt like the instructions were ignored, which was disappointing given we had clearly requested a milder preparation. Overall, this experience did not live up to the quality I expected, and it felt like a waste of money. I hope the restaurant improves its attention to order details and quality control in the future.

Wow! What a gem! We had a beautiful panner curry and some fabulous pakoras. My lovely girlfriend had never had a curry before and she was blown away by the flavours and the quality of the food. We shall be back!

A lot of choice for vegetarian guests and the food was excellent, great value for money also.

Hospitable, cozy, casual, good and friendly service that thinks in solutions. I made a reservation for 8 people and in the end there were 11 of us.

Very good food with very good service. We actually managed to accommodate a group of seven (!) people in the actually full restaurant. We ate there three times in six days, it's that good.

Really enjoyed this place. Went for nephews 21st birthday celebration. Food was great. King prawns lime starter was delicious. Fish pakoras fresh and crispy. Enjoyed our meal. Start were attentive. Small restaurant and good atmosphere felt intimate which is what we were looking for. Highly recommended.

We love this restaurant! The staff are wonderful - Vinod and his team make you feel so welcome. I have brought my baby son here to eat at least three times and the staff are wonderful with him, making him laugh and preparing a small piece of food for him. The food is all absolutely delicious, such a great menu.

My husband and I have been in the U.K. for several weeks and have tried several Indian cuisine restaurants. Chimes of India is by far the best we’ve had. The taste is phenomenal, ambiance is cozy and relaxed and the staff is very welcoming. The night of our visit, we were informed that it was a British holiday and they were understaffed, but they were still able to provide a wonderful service. Great job! Will definitely make another round here before we depart Glasgow.

Fantastic food coupled with excellent service and great pricing. The chicken tikka Marsala was excellent and although spicier than in Australia was still excellent and my wife’s dal maknee was brilliant. Would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking quality Indian food at good pricing.

I’ve been to Chimes of India twice now. Once with friends and family and both times everything was fantastic. Highly recommend to Glaswegians and everyone visiting the city.

We had a wonderful dinner with different tasteful delicious dishes, spicy, exotically authentic - absolutely delightful. The atmosphere in the restaurant is familiar and very considerate. The service so friendly and comfortable that the visit of Chimes of India is only pure pleasure. Any time again!! Highly recommended!

Fantastic place. In Glasgow for one night on a very wey Saturday and fancied an Indian. What a place, loved the quirky decor. Our server couldn't do more for us. (Didn't catch her name, she is the daughter of the owner.) And the food was fantastic. Even found rom for desert. Great family fun restaurant if we were here for two nights we would go again.

Had a cracking meal while visiting town, definitely im my top 5 curry houses now and we eat a lot of Indian food. Decor is a bit eclectic and hip but we go to restaurants to eat at the end of the day. Great small menu , everything we ordered was wonderful, fresh and perfectly spiced. We will definitely return next time in Glasgow.

Excellent restaurant! Staff are friendly any accommodating. Food is delicious, 4 people dining not a single dish disappointed. India won the cricket whilst we were dining and we were offered a free liqueur, lovely touch! High recommend!

We went to Chimes for the first time tonight for dinner. The restaurant has an intimate, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive without being intrusive. We had some popadoms which came with mango chutney and spiced onion followed by the chicken poori which was very fresh and tasty. I tried the spicy chicken momo’s something new for me. We had a chicken madras and a chicken bhuna accompanied with rice, chapatti and some masala fries which were amazing. Yes we definitely over ordered as per usual. The food was delicious ,authentic and plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back soon.

An absolute gem of the area. If you are in Glasgow, you should definitely come here. A lovely family-run restaurant with a bar and comfortable seating. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. You feel very well looked after here. The furnishings are also attractive. The best thing is of course the food. Classic Indian dishes that are simply very tasty and at a fair price. If you haven't eaten here at least once, you're not only missing out on the warmth of the people who work there, but also the really good food. If I find myself in Glasgow again, I'll definitely come back!

Chimes of India with its bad service and rude staff can really ruin the whole dining experience. It's so disappointing when you're looking forward to a nice meal and end up dealing with unfriendly staff. Hopefully, they can improve their customer service soon because no one wants to deal with that negativity when trying to enjoy a meal out. 🍽️

Nice place with very good service and delicious vegetarian options. Also doggybag provided for what was left. We also very much appreciated that our (quiet) dog could have a spot under the table. Would recommend!

First visit but not the last. All the reviews are right … this is superb, authentic food. The tikka masala was very different to the run of the mill ones you get in most Glasgow restaurants. Portions are very generous and lunch at £12.99 for two courses is great value. Service is quick, efficient and extremely courteous. All in all a great experience and I would thoroughly recommend it.

My Husband &I had an amazing meal here last night (Friday 7/6/24) we had previously looked at the reviews and these were so correct. We both had amazing starters & main courses, all so authentic, the service was so good asking our every needs & explaining everything we had ordered. Had a lovely meal here last night, chicken pakora to start. I had the fish curry… delish, the other half had lamb karahi… delish, rice and garlic naan. Portion sizes were just right and we finished the lot. The two girls who served us (Gargi and Sayee) were so friendly and welcoming, thanks girls! First visit here but won’t be the last.

Wonderful authentic Indian food! Chai Masala tea was perfect and the lamb delicious. The atmosphere is perfect! Right on a hop on off bus route. A little gem!

Food was great and staff were absolutely brilliant. Changed a curry that was too spicy to a more mild one and even surprised my partner with an ice cream, a candle and a rendition of happy birthday which was hugely appreciated! Will definitely be back!!

Currys are often nice, however this one was stunning. South India Chili Chicken. Finest curry I've had, outstanding! Definitely worth a visit.

It’s my second time at Chimes of India and it certainly didn’t disappoint. I previously tried their takeaway offering which was wonderful and booked a last minute table for 4 this evening. The staff were so friendly and were able to seat us 30 minutes prior to our original reservation which was perfect, given the typical Glasgow weather. The restaurant itself is very welcoming and a great spot for enjoying a comforting meal with family & friends. As for the food itself it was absolutely delicious and very well priced for the area. Our party had the butter paneer, lamb rogan josh and a lamb madras and we all thoroughly enjoyed, the garlic naan is fabulous as well! We even opted to have dessert which was gulab jamun served with vanilla ice cream and I must say it’s the best I’ve had. The restaurant serves lots of premium spirits, wine and beers and if you so desire you can also BYOB for a corkage fee. Absolutely worth a visit and in my opinion it’s the best Indian restaurant in Glasgow.

Stumbled across this wee gem when looking for somewhere to eat on a day out in Finnieston. Small but very welcoming and attentive staff. Food was lovely and would definitely keep this place in mind when im back in the area again and looking for Indian food.

Last night went here. Beautiful food, so tasty and freshly cooked. One of the best Indian meals I've never had. We had onion bajis to start then lamb saga and chick tikka masala, with garlic naan and pilau rice. Lovely atmosphere, staff were really attentive and friendly. Very good value for money. We will definitely go again and would highly recommend.
