We visited here for lunch on a Saturday early afternoon & got a table but it was pretty busy. Seems to have a lot of regulars. The staff are ace. Very attentive & helpful & regularly checking up on you. Food was good, the scones are really nice. The side salad with the meals was actually a substantial salad not just for show which makes a nice change! The only downside for me is that there are no chips on the menu & instead everything comes with a side of crisps which I'm not a fan of. Some lovely sounding options on the specials board. Ladies toilet was out of order unfortunately but the men's was clean enough! Nice little place, you can see the chap is passionate about the place & why people like it but I do personally prefer the more traditional little cafès.

We popped into Chimes for lunch after visiting the cathedral. We each had a lovely panini, then a cherry and marzipan scone. The food was lovely and the service was super friendly. It was a busy little place so you can tell it's very popular!

Bean Vintage

06/01/2019: We had the French onion soup with herb scone, which was to die for. It was hot tasty, and the scone was a delight fresh and tasty. Really enjoyed them. We had coffee and shortbread which we enjoyed. There was lots of choice for lunch with a lovely hot fire going on a very cold day.
08/12/2018: Came for lunch as was recommend by locals. Living in Leeds it’s nice to try these quirky little eateries rather than big chain/ commercial restaurants. Well it certainly lived up to it’s excellent reputation. Very warm and welcoming on a cold day, nice menu selection and excellent quality food. My parents and I all ate off the breakfast menu which is served TIL 12pm. Dad had the American breakfast and mum and I had the small breakfast. Everyone was more than happy with their meal. The bacon was so tasty. I also had a Black Forest hot chocolate which was fabulous. Iam looking forward to my next visit and will probably try something from the main menu although would be happy to have another delicious breakfast. Also inside is a lovely little shop selling a few things which was an added perk.

04/01/2019: Went out for food and drink with friends. A good menu and high quality food. The bar also has a good selection of drinks. The team are great and look after you very well.
09/01/2019: This friendly pub, located a short walk from the town centre, offers a good range of food. the service was quick, and the food portions generous. Considered to be very good value for money.
