Order from here for the first time.. comparing the local Indian takeaways as I'm a massive fan of Indian food. And this is the best one. The chicken tikka dansak was just the right Heat.. they accommodated my needs when I asked them to make melted cheese saag paneer and delivery wasn't to long either. Will definitely order again.

Has Chillies changed hands recently? We've had takeaways from them for years, but in the last few months the food hasn't been as good, and the wait times for delivery have always been well over an hour. Such a shame. Next time we'll try somewhere different...

The dishes here are amazing and tasty, and the staff are super nice. Love the lamb madras, will definitely be coming back.

Ordered takeaway Sunday night. Food was delicious. Flavoursim. Good portion size He even came and bought it to my car as I had a young child. That was icing on cake

Called in to grab a take away and one of the guys got talking to my daughter, asked her if she liked curry and she said she finds it a bit spicy, He very very kindly gave her a Korma at no cost to take home and try, needless to say she loved it. It made her day and she was so impressed by his kindness, it was a lovely gesture. The food as ever was fantastic. Thanks guys.

Usually like to eat out vs a takeaway (still the washing up!) but in these unprecedented times.... Staff fairly friendly, decor needs a refresh, it there for the food not paintwork. All the dishes we ordered were in the bag when I got home, hot (temperature) and tasty. Will be back.

As many others trip advisors we decided to try this restaurant due to the rave reviews & being no1!, so booked well in advance and packed kids off to friends for the night. Yes, the decor and ambiance is well pitched, a little bohemian, which Brighton is, and of course Giorgio front of house, very welcoming. However I would of liked to have been offered an aperitif (had been looking forward to a prosecco),to peruse my menu over and to try the lovely fresh, but slightly undersized 'amuse bouche', especially as we were assured we had the table for the night to ourselves so no rush. The paper napkin was a shame as the rest of the table oozed decadence, with silver candelabra and menu holder. We tried both starters, rice balls, and stuffed aubergine, but was sort of thing I'd make at home for friends, Main course lacked enough seasoning, but Giorgio did supply condiments without us having to embarrassingly ask. The lasagna traditional was tasty, but not out of this world, the braciole, seemed overwhelmed with bread and very little meat, also would have like to have seen another vegetable to accompany, we were served a few saute peppers. Finally the tiramisu dessert lacked a punch (think the booze had been omitted). It was nice home cooked food, which can only assume was cooked by a home cook and not a trained chef. The ingredients seemed bulked out with cheaper stuff, which I can guess would be the way they do it in Sicily old times, but restaurants claiming excellence need to step up the good stuff. Left here feeling like I could eat more. If I were to go to the same price, area, restaurant again for a special occasion I would go to Fig tree in Hurstpierpoint which really did have me talking about it for days. would keep this place for another day. .

Super nice people. Gave me and all my friends shelter from the rain and free popadoms whilst we waited for a taxi. Will 100% be ordering from here in the future!!

AMAZING! Can’t believe how good this curry was had to write about it. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had- am now a regular, absolutely top notch and super friendly staff too!!!

Ordered for first time in years, expensive for two curries. One tasted like tomato soup and the chicken was so dry in other one it was inedible. Both went in the bin cost £26 will not use them again!

Absolutely amazing. I have not been using you recently due to covid. First takeaway last night. The food was excellent especially the chicken jalfraz now added with fresh peppers. What a great combination exelland gives more flavour. The phall sauce needs a bit more flavour. Was just like eating powder in a hot sauce.

Have always got our curry from Chillies as usually very good until now, ordered a delivery recently and was so disappointed, king prawn masala was tasteless and only 3 prawns! which were totally overcooked. What's happened Chillies???☹

One of my go to curry houses round the area but tonight I ordered at 18:50 to be told it would be 1hr 40 which wasn’t a problem. It’s now 21:10 with still no sign of when my curry is arriving. I’ve tried calling the telephone for it to be constantly on busy. I’ve now had to order another takeaway else’s where but paid double because of the time… I’m just so disappointed they could if at least called to say it would either be late or when I called tell me they are too busy. If the curry does at some point arrive I will be sending it back! Thanks Chillies! Oh and if I could leave no stars I would :)

Good quality Indian food, order was ready in 15 minutes to collect, good portion sizes and reasonably priced. Ordered 4 different meals and all were really tasty and well made. Can highly recommend!

A lovely take away Indian meal

First time that we had takeaway from CHILLIES and the food was amazing. Chicken Masalla and Chicken Dansak with some sides. Food was really hot , service was quick and thoroughly enjoyed it. We shall definitely order again.

New years eve so very busy. Had to go and collect my delivery in the end. Hopefully it was due to the day it was, so first time I've used them.

Rang 6pm to order a takeaway for 8pm, everything confirmed and no mention of possible delay. It's now 9:21pm..phone has been busy for over an hour now so clearly been left off the hook...2 old age pensioners left hungry, disgusting service! EDIT : The phone did start ringing but no answer for over an hour, the takeaway was delivered at 10:15 but everyone was in bed so was refused.

We called Chillis at 5.40pm on New Year’s Eve, as we knew it would be busy, we ordered early. We were told it would be 1 hour 15 minutes for delivery. We also offered to collect it and they said it would be the same waiting time, so we opted for delivery. Our food turned up at 10pm! Almost 4 and half hours later! Unsurprisingly, we had already given up and cooked instead. We tried to get through around 8pm (2 hours 20 after we ordered) but phones were engaged constantly. We would have offered to collect it again, had we been able to get through. While we knew it would be a busy night, they could have given us a call out of courtesy and told us how long the wait would be and see if we still wanted it. It is ridiculous to expect us to want the food over 4 hours later and is also a waste of food for Chillis themselves.

I ordered a takeaway tonight at 6pm for delivery at 8pm...9:35pm now, phone just rings and is ignored. No mention on phone of a delay! Two vulnerable pensioners have been left hungry due to incompetence.

The food is nice enough and prices are reasonable. We found the customer service to be a tad lacking. Not particularly friendly on the phone, no warm welcome as we walked through the door and sent on our way without a smile. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Will probably try again.

I ordered some food for my birthday party from this place,For 25 people,It came on time and every one said how amazing the food was,and the person we ordered to was so helpful and Recomended all the dishes,will highly recommend this place to every one to try.

We have used this takeaway for many years and thought we should finally do a review. The standard of food is constantly excellent and they do the best Dhansak ( to my Madras hot taste ) of any restaurant i have experienced . Staff are pleasnt and meal ready on time for us to collect. Prices have risen in recent times but we think well worth it ..Many thanks .......

Don't use chilly I ordered waited an 1and half hours I kid you not then called back and got told 2 mins another 20mins past still no food, what a joke, food finally came 2 hours 10 mins later,, told them to keep it,,

I have been ordering from Chile’s for the last 5 months Each time I have placed the order the food has arrived On time.The quality of the food has always been to a high standardAnd the temperature has been hot due to speed of delivery I recommend this takeaway to friends and family.

Superb Korma Curry. Tarka Dahl and plain rice. Cannot fault this take away. Also for a hot chilli try the garlic chilli tikka masala, is absolutely splendid. Another option is the pasanda curries, also splendiferous !! All in all, my go to first for curry take away.

Been using Chillies for many many years now. Never had cause to complain. Superb food!!!

Horrendous food. Save your money and try somewhere else. Ordered 2 different portions, the same oily base on both of them. Couldn't taste the difference between the portions and both extremely bland. If that wasn't enough to put you off, this might: we both had stomach problems whole next day.

Absolutely appalling customer service!!! We have been regular customers of Chillies for a while now and this is the second time they have forgotten to include all of our food we’ve ordered/ paid for. Tonight we collected our food and got all the way home to find they had forgotten a whole main course and side dish! We phoned them to tell them this and asked if they would deliver the forgotten items as we had guests round, and obviously due to it being their error. We were spoken to by an extremely rude member of staff who did not apologise once! Instead suggested we drive another 20 minutes back to them to prove we’d ordered what we’d said was missing and then hung up the phone. So even though we’d paid for the items and when we collected the takeaway they read our order back to us including what was forgotten they would not accept they were at fault! There lack of customer service is appalling and I would strongly advise you do not order them from them as they do not care about their customers. I know we will never be giving them our business again!!

We have used this place since it opened. Never had a bad meal, however, delivery times have gone from an acceptable 40 minutes to over an hour and a half. I suspect if you request delivery, and pay by card on the phone, the urgency goes out the window.Silly really , because there’s another Indian restaurant with delivery options .For us, time for a change.

We have been customers at Chillis for many years. Unfortunately, recent meals have all been very poor. Very long waiting times for delivery, much longer than the hour they tell you on the phone. The food arrives cold and, really annoying, missing side dishes that were ordered and paid for.We won't use them again.

Really sad, Chillis has been our first choice Indian takeaway for many years - but no longer. The last few meals we have had have been very disappointing. Being told up to an hour is acceptable but not then waiting nearly an hour and a half. There is also an expectation as a customer that the meal will still be hot when it arrives. Oh, and when you order and pay for side dishes they should be in the bag as well. These problems have happened once too often now and we won't be back.

Going to this place for years and we still come back for me. Even go there from Worthing!

Unfortunately this establishment can only be rated by a single overall out of 5 star rating. So lets list all of the good things. The food is actually excellent . The service in the past has also been good. Now the kicker, yes it is busy on a Saturday evening you have to expect that, but why quote your customers unrealistic waiting times. So I place an order for collection and I am quoted 40 minutes before it will be ready. It's Saturday evening, you just know the food will take longer to that, so arrive after 50 minutes to find that all the seats are taken by people waiting for food. Meanwhile the phones are jumping off their hooks with more orders arriving. Food orders for collection are quoted at 40 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes for delivery. Eventually one of the waiting people gets some food and another shortly after another receives food. Result food coming soon. Another 20 minutes passes before the next person gets their order. Customer clearly upset by a wait much longer than quoted who then complains both about their own wait and the fact that new orders are still being quoted as 40 minutes wait for collection. The waiting area continues to fill... It is now 1 hour 40 minutes since placing my order for collection so I enquire as to how much longer it will be. The answer is another 10 to 15 minutes. Is that a guaranteed 15 minutes maximum or just a similar estimate to the original 40 minutes quoted? Not convinced by the answer I get a refund and get some burgers in 10 minutes including travelling to the other establishment. I understand it's busy on Saturdays, but just give out realistic waiting times so that the customer can make a judgement as to whether or not to continue with the order. Quoting standard normal time scales (at best) when it is obviously busier than normal or maybe just blatant lying in order to avoid the loss of custom is just not acceptable. I will not be back.

The last curry I had was a little disappointing as the tomatoes in it didn't taste cooked at all. Previously orders had been very good so perhaps just an off day.

No issues with service, but the curry was very bland. I get extremely disappointed when I can cook a better curry myself. Lacked chilli heat, spice flavour and general seasoning. It's edible but this is poor for what's available elsewhere. We had chefs "specials" (Goa and Shaktora chicken)......avoid.
