Food arrived hot and on time, great quality, no complaints.

Rude staff, for some reason theirs a teenager at the till (15 years or something) and the service. Don't even get me started on the service! Absolutely terrible, the waiting times are always 1+ hours, nothing less. Avoid this place and go to another pizza spot. Especially on Wednesdays , the deal seems good but the waiting times as. Oh boy.. AVOID THIS PLACE

Huge improvement in both quality and delivery time. Order arrived early and hot, chilli sauce also great quality and massive improvement over previous orders!

Absolutely vile please do not eat here if you value your safety! I have reported to authorities and reading food hygiene with undeniable proof.My food has been spat in I feel disgusted I didn’t realise until I pulled a price of kebab and saw the saliva I am shocked I suspected this last time I ordered but told myself surely not this time it’s beyond clear. There are other places cheaper and way safer this is unacceptable!

Order took over an hour and a half. I under stand I can be busy BUT order was marked as delivered and I had to call up to be told that the order had not left yet. Delivery was reinstated and order was still late again. Ordered about 5:30 and nothing arrived till 6:30. Order was marked as delivered and I had to tell the app that food had not arrived yet. Time was adjusted for 6:55 and food arrived at 6:59. Pizza was very heavy to eat. Stuffed crust the cheese was not melted properly. Very heavy

Usually I like ordering from chicken base, it’s pretty decent. This is the first time they’ve let me down. Food was over an hour late, tried to call the restaurant so many times and no one answered. When someone did, they just said “yeah it’ll be 2 minutes” and it was at least anothet twenty. When the food arrived it was cold. Very disappointed

My pizza was lovely. I think they gave me a bigger one than I paid for because the last time I ordered it was cold. This was very kind of them. This is the best pizza in Reading. It’s so tasty.

Awful customer service the person working up front of the tills should be ashamed of himself his attitude towards me was disgraceful don’t even know how u guys are open. Charged me 60 pounds for a chicken wrap and when I called them and told them what they did they couldn’t even apologise they just told me to come back tommrow which is not benificial for me. I’m now 60 pounds down! For a chicken wrap! And they ended the phone once confronted!

I had the misfortune of purchasing two 14inch pizzas from this shop last night. They have to be the worst pizzas I have ever had. The base was undercooked like I was eating raw elastic dough and actually tasted like I was eating sour dough! The margarita pizza had barely any cheese on it, in fact there were areas where there was no topping at all. When I called the shop to complain the manager refused to deal with it saying he wasn’t the manager in duty or couldn’t deal!!! He did offer for me to bring the pizza back to the shop so he could have a look, but couldn’t do anything! Steer clear of this place is my advice.

Chicken base is heaven on earth, those men know how to treat you like a lady! They are doing gods work in that kitchen. The 2 piece chicken meal with chips for £4.50? BARGAIN. The garlic mayo? HEAVENLY! Go at 3am for the best vibes!

Unfortunately my pizza was delivered almost cold and the ice cream was melted. I presume the delivery guy had a problem finding my flat, because I know there was no traffic at the time. I wish he had called me to ask for directions. It made me sad.

The pizza was very nice. However the chips I ordered were forgotten. The delivery man apologised and I was able to claim a refund. But I was disappointed.

Great food for cheap and excellent service. Sometimes it may not be perfect but for the price you can never complain. I have seen a few old bad reviews on Google but can't believe them as the service for me is always good.

Order came late was missing the main item of the meal, I was told he was gonna go collect it and bring it back but he never returned after telling me he would be about 10 minutes, probably won’t ever order from there again disappointed

I had ordered pizza from this place. The person first over charged me! When I told him you charged me extra he goes I’ll give you wings (1wing). When I got the pizza I payed extra for chilli’s in the pizza (no chilli’s). Plus there was hardly any Doner on the pizza and tasted very awful undercooked. The worst customer service, I will be never ordering again be careful everyone.

Tried to overcharge me but when challenged had no remorse. Gave me the money back without even an apology.

This used to be a good pizza place. Now it's all worse. had a pizza from here and it was partially uncooked. Only the bottom and top were cooked well. in between it was raw dough. It smelled like hell. I would highly not recommend their pizzas. Save your money.

Absolutely disgusting staff. We got our order and my partners was cold and totally the wrong order. when we called to complain they hung up on us twice, the blocked my partner’s number. Called up the next day to try and sort it out, but they called us liars and there was nothing they could do about it it’s too late. Will never order from them again. Maybe a course off customer service would be a good idea

Absolutely horrible! The food was cold, the staff are RUDE! We received our order and it was wrong, it was supposed to be cheeseburger with mayonnaise with a little bit of ketchup, cucumber and lettuce. As you can see that isn’t what we received. Called up to complain multiple times they hung up on us twice then when we tried to call back it went straight to voicemail. Poor poor customer service I wouldn’t even eat that food, even if I was drunk

5 stars if it’s 3am, everywhere else is closed, you’re hammered after 15 pints and 6 double vodkas, and you’ve lost your mates. 1 star in any other scenario. Fair to say it’s 3* on balance.

My dear friend has been speaking of Chicken Base for over two years now. As someone who is not naturally a believer in the otherworldly I saw this as my chance to prove him wrong. To see if this chicken palace was really the base of all operations within this plain of consciousness. I was advised that to experience this deli of delicacies at its best, you must drink 3 beers, 2 vodka cokes and as many shots of tequila as you can stomach. You must then walk a minimum of half an hour to get to Chicken Base and the best times to experience the show are between 2am and 5am. So that is what we did. Drunk, delirious and tired, we stumbled out onto the streets of Reading with one destination in mind. The beaming sign burns into your frontal and overwhelms you with the love that only God himself can fulfil you with. You know you are there and you are excited. You and the bumbling pilgrims fall into the store, ready to consume. It has been said that even the lowest ranking staff at Chicken Base have been trained for 15 years in the Swiss Alps to survive the hardest conditions of the kitchen. Their dedication to providing the best food and customer experience is something I have never seen before (and I have dined at the best the world has to offer). Now, the pièce de résistance, the magnum opus, the lost 10th Beethoven Symphony. The chicken. I spoke with the supplier of the chicken before my pilgrimage and I can confirm that every single chicken grows up in the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace, on an organic diet of strawberry seeds, champagne de poition, and the signature boef de Avignon le cónfièr. They are handled by a team of 64 Austrian farmers, gardeners and health practitioners (who are also trained in the Alps for 15 years). when they’re ready to be taken to Chicken Base, a single bodybuilder carries the chickens by hand and walks from Vienna to Calais. At which point he is greeted by a seagull, trained to carry the chickens one by one directly to Chicken Base. Last rights are given by the local priest to each chicken before they are flung into the deep frier. The chickens are not sad. They know they are contributing to a greatness they cannot comprehend. I do not have the words to describe the food. My voice would be wasted trying to encapsulate the food of chicken base. I no longer feel the need to do anything with my life, my friends, my lovers. I am complete. There are no more restaurants. Nothing compares. This is the base of chicken and anyone who says otherwise is a moron. Is £7.50 worth changing your life over? In this case… It is. Thank you.

Was fancying a kebab seeing as not had on in ages and had a few beers so ordered online. But wasn't the best kebab I've had was disappointing the salad was minimal and limp and the bread was hard so didn't enjoy it as much as I might but was hungry and it filled a hole but should of ordered it from somewhere else
