Food Review: Chicano's, Bradford I visited Chicano's in Bradford with high expectations, drawn in by the buzz around its vibrant menu. However, I was left deeply disappointed by both the food quality and the price tag, which I found shockingly high for what was served. To begin with, the food lacked the bold flavors and freshness you’d expect from a place as established as chicanos. The burger I ordered were soggy, with the filling underseasoned and bland. The chicken was dry and not at all fresh, which is a basic expectation when it comes to fast food. Even the much-touted Nashville range was a letdown, What truly left me dumbfounded was the price. For the lackluster quality of food, I found the bill to be outrageously high. For just a few items and a drink, I was charged well above what I’d expect for a meal of this standard—certainly not reflective of either the portions or the flavor. In a town like Bradford, where you can find much better food at a fraction of the cost, Chicano's felt like an overpriced disappointment. While the staff was friendly and the decor trendy, the food simply didn’t live up to its reputation, and the prices felt like a complete mismatch for the quality. For those seeking a satisfying, authentic food I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Every few times I eat at Chickanos, the portions have magically gotten smaller or the prices have gone up. Safe to say that this is the last time I will be eating there. I used to enjoy the Gourmet Burger but the chicken inside the burger is now tiny. When Chickanos reduced the size of the fries, reduced the size of the sauces and raised the prices, I stayed a customer. But this will now have to change. It's the end of the road.

It's not the delicious food I was used too, it's been a year since the last time.

Delicious .. batter has a spice to it so my little boy would eat it but apart from that delicious. You must try the sauces

I used to love this place, their service is good and presentation is good. However, after eating their Mexicano burger I have been puking up. The burger was nice no complaints. But it’s the only thing I ate that day and then I was puking up. I told my friends and one friend agreed that she too has puked up twice when she’s had Chickanos both times. It confirmed it for me - something is not right with their chicken. If you’ve ever puked up after a chickanos please make it known to stop it happening to others.

Went on Sunday and had a Memphis burger, just wow! Packed with flavours and very fresh and tasty, and also got a tex mex salad with extra cheese, everything was perfect and the lads behind the counter are very nice and respectful. Thank you for your amazing food and service

Massive shout out to Umar man!!! It was my first time in Bradford, I was recommended by a car company called Xenonz to go here. This guy looked after me from the moment I stepped into the store!! I asked him the best things on the menu, the Nashville burger and the Dynamite bites!! As a goodwill gesture he even gave 3 extra wings on the house!! This place will always be my go to place if I'm ever in Bradford! As long as Umar serves me, I will always be there man! Give the man a raise 100%, never had such excellent customer service! Also, a shootout to Yusuf there too, he came and had a chat with me also! Huge thanks to both of them! 🫡⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visiting this place after a while nicely furbished clean and great customer service by all the stall on the till and the staff in th kitchen aprons hats gloves and kitchen looked well clean food was great 👍 honestly couldn't find a fault deffinatly will be visiting again in sha Allah well done guys highly recommend this place

It’s ok I don’t go often food is decent but nothing special, staff are usually just not interested in customers or not trained in customer service skills but the portion sizes are decent and 1 chicken popcorn meal would be enough for 2-3 young children to share (my kids ages 9,5 and 3 all share 1 portion) food choices are limited and they charge extra for sauce

Ordered a standard fillet burger and beef burger(he called it a stack burger), cost nearly £14. Went to collect saw offer on display for 2 extra wings with every fillet burger meal for extra 25p which person failed to mention to me over phone. So I asked for this when in the shop. Anyway took food home to be disappointed by how meagre(small) both burgers were, the stack burger was thin and dry and so was the chicken fillet. The fries weren't the best either and similarly portion size was small. So can't understand the pricing if you only get such small amount of food. The wife didn't even finish hers as it tasted so bland. Chicanos used to be so much better! It has put me off going back.

Noooooo what happened to the buffalo ranch burger recipe? The sauce and spice did not match well. I am good with spice but that was not edible. Buffalo sauce meant to be sweet otherwise I would have ordered a spicy burger. Don’t change something that wasn’t broken. Chips undercooked too, would like them more well done.

For £8+ a burger meal, I expected a lot more. Service was non existent, food was COLD and the fries stale like they had been for hours. Waste of money and will not be back!

Ordered from here few times in the last 2 weeks and let me tell you this place has fully gone down hill, burger was cold each and every time and chips felt like they was made day before.. when I wasn’t happy the first time, I still had hope and tried again but nothing changed. Used to love the food here, but I can happily Will never ever come back here waste of money if u ask me. Quality over quantity all day! I hope u can make the necessary changes and make the food edible for the rest of your customers.

Their burgers are a bit small, but their wings are fire 🔥🔥🔥 After you get wings from here, u can't get them from anywhere else, recommend the spicy wings or the nasville wings, they only give flags too which is a bonus. WINGS MEAL is quite filling aswell, the wings are pretty big, must be the spices that make you think you're full IDK! Interesting selection of mango drinks. Their chips usually come soggy from ubereats, but even though they're soggy they somehow hit with their garlic mayo, it's the only place where I know no matter what the food will taste nice and it won't be a gamble when I'm ordering on ubereats.

They don't have much gluten free options their rice and fries contained gluten the only thing gluten free was their chicken wings. I wouldn't come here again the options are very limited for people with Coeliac. Not to mention the price is expensive for not even a full meal.

It was too expensive, not accepting cards but cash only. Very poor service and food serving was not enough even for one person. NOT RECOMMENDED

Was disappointed with the food, it was cold. The menu said the burger meal came with chips and a drink but we were charged 40p on top for drinks and when we questioned what the charge was for they told us it was a ‘sugar tax’. Wouldn’t go there again

Not happy with the service, spouse to be open till 11pm but never have no food after 10pm. Travel very far for this but never got it. We are regular customer and have noticed that the card machine has been broken since the new opening

Food was average chips not as good as they used to be. I never really complain about food but £18 for 2 burger meals is too extortionate I expect top tier for that much money.

One high chair available which was being used by another customer. Asked for another and grey beardy bloke in back just laughed. Just lost a family of 8 to stupid service. Went to Lahores. Better food. Better service. Better quality.

Chickanos Peri Peri burger is very good. Its different from most and doesnt taste grilled its more like a traditional burger with a peri peri flavour. The wings are nice and the service is a little slow. Price wise its slightly expensive, around £10 for a burger meal. They are branded as a higher end burger joint and hence the pricing. Half a chicken is okay but nothing special for Bradford.

£8.59 for buffalo burger meal but then they still charge 40p for cheese and 40p for Irn Bru. For £8.59 this should be included in the price. The burger was cold and over dipped in sauce which tasted horrible. The sauces given had only enough for a few fries as there were hardly any in there. Over priced and still not worth it even with the new refurbishment and menu. They gone back to cash only too🤔🤔🤔HMRC beware

Was clean and service was okay but that's it. Food was below average. Purchased the Korean burger meal and it was bland no taste at all. Bun looked cheap and cold. Not cheap either. Oh and they don't take card anymore so had to go out and get cash. I wouldn't go again, don't recommend.

Chickano’s Bradford is always the best of dining in with the best atmosphere, best services & the freshest and wide range of food on menu. The seatings and tables are comfortable, easy and good to sit and eat-in. Food is always made on time for me to dine in, take out and online ordering. Always cleaned and to its all best. The staff are good, friendly and at all best of everything.

Take out order, bare in mnd I live a 2 minute drive away, food was cold, spent a decent amout of money also. It was not fresh at all. The prices here are ridiculous also. The 5 star reviews in here are mostly fake guys so beware.

Mexican burger is a good option but £3.49 for 3 standard mozarella sticks is shocking!!

The food is consistently well made and decent, and the customer service is usually good too. They raised their prices just in time for Ramadan. It's just too expensive and not worth it anymore on the staple menu items.

Food was gross, staff were rude. I suppose it isn't their own business. Spent well over the odds for food which just tasted nasty, virtually not much meat on their half chicken grilled. Sauces were rancid too. I don't have anything good to say about this place. Oh apparently the manager is also a food inspector of some description.

Would not visit this place again, we were the only dine in customers at the time and the cheek on them to give us burgers that were stone cold, when we complained we were told that they freshly prepped them. They then decided they would microwave the burgers, we called them out on this. They were very reluctant to make us fresh burgers. We will never be going here again. Its just over hyped

If i could rate under 0 star then i would, ordered through uber eats and chickanos gave my food out to another customer and had the audacity to ask me to come to collect from shop, why would i order through uber eats if i could collect. Never ordering from here again.

I was excited for this place to open up after it had been closed for some time and i heard good things about it so today i went with my kids to try it out and we were all disappointed. Apparently, nowadays its normal to rip off your customer. We got a chicken burger but there was no chicken. “Our chicken is never frozen, contains absolutely no additives and always fresh daily”. What chicken? You should advertise that you’ll provide the customers with everything but advise them to bring their own chicken instead next time since you clearly cant provide them that. Why refurbish the place when you cant afford to keep it running. The chicken was as thin as paper 🤦‍♂️ I don’t recommend this place at all its just too overhyped

I was very disappointed with the new chickanos in Leeds Road. After making my order, I sat with my family but was stunned by how loud the religious prayer was that was playing through the speakers. It was so loud to the fact that I could not even speak to my family who were sat right next to me. It is not acceptable to play these prayers in public dining places as the place is open to all people. This is meant to be a diner not a place where religious practices should be played. I lost my appetite and was frustrated with my visit to chickanos today. I know I will not be visiting any time soon!

We've been looking forward to go to this place after refurbishment.Went there today,the place looks okay but the food is not it.I barley got any chicken in my burger.Its almost like they try getting 5 chickens out of 1 chicken breast.The burger I got the lettuce was thicker than the chicken.It should be "Our burgers are never frozen,they contain absolutely nothing inside just lettuce and sauce and we rip off our customers."

This place has gone downhill. It used to be packed with customers, but now rarely more than 1 table occupied. Staff have all changed, prices have shot up- almost double from a few years ago. Food was a good 10 minutes late, portions very light, chips and popcorn chicken were stale. So much gone wrong at this place that I couldn't even call to complain- I wasn't sure where to begin. Sadly my last visit and I'm seriously surprised this place is still in business.
