Best chicken burger about! Staff aren’t really engaging and the place is not the most inviting but oh boe the chicken burgers (only) are incredible.

I came to this place a week ago. Ordered my food sat down looking forward to it. Chap on the counter casually sticking his fingers in his ears and twisting it !! Was fuming confronted the man explained to him totally unacceptable!!! Got my money back !! Will never come back here staff need educating on hygiene!!!!!!!!

As someone who has dined here for over a decade, I’ve not been in for a while, so stopped off here tonight. Despite me ordering the large flame grilled chicken burger meal and everything vastly more expensive - the burger was not flame grilled, nor had any jalapeños like it used to. In fact, it was a plain burger with a diddy bit of farty lettuce and a dollop of mayo. Either I’ve been duped or the flame grilled is now flame ness for a vastly superior fee. It’s a nail in the coffin for me as it’s been going downhill in years, and I feel that I will not been rushing back there anytime soon. I’m not sure if it’s changed owners but it’s a shell of what it used to be and one to avoid now in future if I ever drive through Cheadle. A shame……😔

5 stars, just it wish it was cheaper as then I would go more 👍 I’d recommend the double gourmet peri peri burger.

Went there and tried for the first time, the rashers burger was very delicious and was quite big which was good. Would highly recommend to visit.

Used to be my go to place chickadees but the past few times I’ve had a delivery it’s been very disappointing. Food has taken over an over to get here when I’m only a few minutes drive away. Food arrives hardly warm, soggy chips standards have really gone down hill. Not worth the expensive price for the quality of food you get

I was disappointed with my recent visit. During my last visit, everything was more than great. However, this time, I was charged for top jalapenos. I believe that businesses should provide small extras like jalapenos for free, especially when customers have already spent a considerable amount of money. This experience has made me reconsider my loyalty to the business. Despite this, I will not comment on the food quality and have given the business four stars.

Used to be decent but not anymore . I think it’s the owner with glasses and his white wife with ginger hair are very very rude allways got a attitude.. Overpriced chewy chicken . Like who wants to eat hard chicken . Isn’t chicken supposed to be soft … not hard and tough like a dog toy ..

Chickadees has always been our go to takeaway as it was cheaper and better value for money than Nando’s. This no longer seems to be the case. Prices are now nearly equivalent with Nando’s especially when items are missing from your online order and the £3 tub of salad mainly consists of lettuce. Come on Chickadees up your game!

Burgers were good, chips were cold.

Food is always amazing. We moved away so we don’t get to use it as much anymore but every time we’re down to visit we have it each time. And it’s always cooked perfectly and the food is lovely.

It's been a year or so since I last ordered from Chickadees. I ordered food and it hadn't arrived within the 1st hour. I contacted them and tried to cancel. They refused. The food came 3 hours later. They blamed it on windy weather. Which didn't make sense as I tried cancelling the order. So either they were happy enough to deliver food which was cooked and delivered 3 hours later or they are money grabbers and didn't want to lose out on an order. They average meal now also costs £10+. Go Miami Crispy instead. Get a proper meal for around half the price. Shame on you chickadees. You greedy greedy people. This place has ZERO customer service. As you can see in their reviews. They don't even try and reply to anyone.

Food always been good. However the staff.... lady working behind the counter stood there ignored me for 15 minutes while i waited to order just walked off. Absolute pointless waste of time

The chicken was undercooked and was tasteless. I got hot as the flavour and it wasn’t hot in the slightest. This was our dinner for iftar after fasting all day and was extremely disappointed

Wings taste was good but it was a bit oily.

This place is a joke. Just paid nearly £10 for a peri chicken burger meal, which consisted of a hand full of undercooked chips and a tiny thin chicken fillet in a burger. It was so small that it only covered half of my bun, and I had to make a chip barm out the other half. It used to be a decent place when it first opened, but not anymore. As you can see by an empty shop most times. If you're going to sell chicken burgers, at least make sure it's a proper size chicken fillet at that extortionate price. People did warn me that it isn't what it used to be, but i thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and give them another try. Stay clear, don't waste your money!!

I was on my bike and they wouldn’t let me bring it in cause I didn’t want it to get stole food was mid and staff were rude and u get people in their that mess around 8£ for like a burger and chips bit expensive

As always the burger is really good but my gripe is they charge for sauces and complain about it when their prices are already gone up. When I go in store they give chilli sauce for free yet when I order on here they charge £1 for a small tub that’s not even filled to the top. Very fussy take away and they lost a long time customer, have told friends and family to avoid this take away. There are other take aways that will provide sauces with meals and burgers…..

Grilled chicken burger tastes fresh. It could do with a little more seasoning for my liking. The place needs some TLC too.

The food,for 10 pounds PER burger, was the size of a kids burger and the chicken tasted like rubber.DEFINETLY not worth the money AT ALL.The burgers were drowned in mayonnaise and jalapeños even though I SPECIFICALLY requested there to be none. Also the whole restaurant was freezing even with the door closed completely. 🤬🙁 VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

The biggest problem was the condition of toilets. Very dirty. Sort of dirt which only becomes like that if there hasn't been washed at least for a week.

They forgot some of the order so I rang the takeaway and they did not want to send me the missing items, they're response was "when you come next time just let us know and we'll give it you". I felt bad because they tried to blame the driver when it wad their mistake.

Good quality tasty food... Better pizza than other joints in the area. Chicken is really good. Great variety on the menu. However it is slightly more expensive than other places.

We used to come here a lot when it first opened, local easy and cheap,not anymore, the food is nothing special, however the prices have literally doubled! £9 for a take away burger! They also wanted to charge me 0.50p for the pink sauce, never again. I wonder why it was empty on a bank holiday afternoon. Pure greed 👎🏼

Their burgurs are 1 of the best I've tasted and the bun is amazing! So fresh and quality I didn't enjoy the seasoning on the wings.

We have used chickadees as a family of 5 since it first opened, usually ordering 2-3 times a month. The food is usually spot on. Unfortunately the shocking increase in prices has stopped us from going! Majorly overpriced now. Shame the owners greed has turned away regular customers. We'd rather spend the same money on a meal out for the same price as our usual takeaway.

Shocking increase in prices. We could eat here as a family of 5 at a reasonable price before but they have recently almost doubled some of their prices on meals. Surely this much of an increase is too much and only going to drive loyal customers away?? Of course so much has increased in price recently but i really am disappointed at the steep rise in prices by chickadees. No longer our go to im afraid

Really nice food, don’t go as much now the prices have gone up as it’s just ridiculous what they charge for a burger and wrap, they rip you off by charging best part of £10 for a burger/wrap meal, but they charge £2.50 for a peri fillet, £1.99 for chips and £1.25 for a drink, so best part of £6 for everything that goes in a burger/wrap which means they charge you an extra £4 for salad and burger bread/wrap bread. If you ever think of getting a burger or wrap from this place I advise you just buy peri fillets, use your own salad and bread and you’ll save a whole lotta money over time becasue these lot are robbing us.

When this place first opened I was a frequent eater; really nice food, fresh and quality. Not any more. It's dry, tasteless and overly expensive. Also cancelled an online delivery order recently of around £30 with no explanation. I would go elsewhere.

Zero customer service. I ordered food half an hour before closing. I was running a few minutes past 10 and asked if they could stay open as I was caught in traffic and not eaten all day and they point blanc refused. Couldn’t even stay open for 3 minutes longer!! Why should I bother giving a company my money who does not care about their clients

Wasn't very nice. Had chicken burgers and chips. The chicken was refried or rewarmed. And the chips tasted strange like the oil they were cooked in wasn't right.

The food is ridiculously overpriced, I felt genuinely ripped off leaving, especially since the food was very average in particular the chicken which was rather flavourless greasy and a poor cut of meat which was 90% bone. This has been the case the last few times I’ve been and has never improved. The only saving grace was the rice which was rather nice but still not worth the visit until they sort their problems out which leave the customer hating their experience. The wait for the food was also ridiculously long considering it’s meant to be fast food, terrible ! 🤬

Food is fairly average considering the other options in the area but the pricing is jut extortionate. Not worth going here over some of the other food options nearby in my opinion because of the pricing alone.

Dined in tonight, ordered the grilled chicken and rice, was served the food by the most RUDEST guy I’ve ever met in my life, and to be honest the manager was the most unhelpful/arrogant person I’ve ever come across, I let them know I couldn’t eat the food due to it being extremely spicy, when I asked for PLAIN grilled chicken, To what the guy behind the counter answered “do you want me to bag it” I explained myself AGAIN to him turning his back to me, I asked for the manager and was greeted by someone who was obviously clueless of a customer experience business, who told me this is how the chicken came one flavour and not plain they couldn’t do that, I asked why and he just laughed, I wanted to just let him know that i asked for plain and expected plain, he offered me Nothing in return for a £40 order of food, I walked off and in his own language he made suggestive comments about me to the chief, AVOID AT OWN COST.

Altho the food tasted decent ish. It definately isnt worth the £21 for two meals. This clearly shows how desperate this place is getting. I used to love going when it first opened but over the years the staffs attitude and prices have gone completely out off line. Highly reccommend Miamis if you want value for money and decent manners from the staff.

1 star is a compliment staff are among the rudest people I have ever come across, Hair in my food, waited half an hour for my table to be clean beyond a joke if you ask me. Would not dine in this place.

Was the best chicken takeaway around a few years ago - sadly gone downhill, and prices have skyrocketed alongside this. Rude customer service - I called to ask what time they shut - ‘we close in 5 minutes’ and hung up very abruptly. We were very regular customers now we choose one of the many better options in the area

Very expensive for a normal burger

Food is okay but the restaurant is not clean at all.. toilets are terrible. I came here with my kids and my younger one wanted to go to washroom but the condition of the toilets is pathetic. I literally had to go to subway(just opposite)for her to use the washroom. Hope atleast the kitchen where the food is cooked is in good hygienic condition But no way m visiting this place again

Nice take away, would be better if the burgers were served on proper seeded buns and not bread buns. Chicken Peri Peri meals and fried chicken family meals are good.

Chickadees is the best chicken shop in Manchester even better then Miamis and thats hard to achieve. The flame grilled burger is juicy, succulent, tender its the best burger you can think of. Most of the things in Chickadees is very unique from the bread to the burger options. Definitely recommend to go dine in or delivery great food 10/10.

Chickadees was my favourite takeaway in Cheadle and the local area. I have ordered there week in, week out for years. Over the past couple of months I have received cold deliveries, missing items and today I have received cold rice, missing items again and a "delivery" driver who calls the first unsure where he is delivering and then on return with the missing item an hour later rings again for us to collect from his vehicle. Simply not good enough and taking my "loyalty" elsewhere

Big no. Sweaty chips , insanely huge pieces of chicken on the bone. Looked unappetising, tastes nasty. Got my money back anyway.

Great food, shame about the cleanliness. I dined in, & had to clean my table w some alcohol gel & tissues I had to hand. The ladies toilets are a bit of a gloomy affair. There was no toilet roll.

Notification to say food was on the way at 19:00. Delivery was gone 19:30. Which I expected however, it being sent out at 7 gave it enough time (30 minutes) to go cold. Food is always delicious from here just that the chicken was cold on delivery so I will just collect next time :)
