Chick-o-Land in Bristol, City of

First time ordering take away here. Delivery was prompt, food was barely luke warm, bland, and over priced for what you got. Would not recommend at all

Not being a fast food aficionado I feel compelled to sing the praises of the often maligned and commonly under-rated master chefs of the underworld. I have had a kebab from Chick O Land once before and it blew my mind. The meat was tender and freshly cooked, the salad was crispy and comprehensively colourful and the chips (in both shape and size) had the unique form that sat reassuringly comfortably between a Burger King thin French fry and a traditional chip shop chip. Following this culinary revelation I checked the reviews to seek the views and experiences of other fellow customers and was amazed to find others had posted reviews like “Ok”. I knew I needed to return. I went back last night and I am pleased to report that the chefs are not just great but seemingly consistently brilliant. I had the lamb sisha with medium chips mayonnaise and a light splash of chilli sauce. Eating it out of hand on the walk home doesn’t do it justice. I cradled it back to the house where with a nudge it presented itself beautifully on the plate. It was a genuine treat and unwrapping it could probably be the greatest present I get this Christmas. I recommend all to see beyond the bright lights and punned branding to discover this hidden gem in what I believe is Keynsham’s greatest dining experience. That said the mrs nicked a bit of my plate and has shocking tummy ache.

This place is terrible. M&M's is muuuuuch better (thank me later) They legit need a manager who understands the hunger of people without making them wait over an hour and a half for cold food. Absolutely disgusting.. It's a joke!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Always a favourite stop off for fried chicken pizza or kebabs. Friendly and good value. They deliver too

The food is quality, and generous, and the prices are reasonable. The service is friendly, and the place is very clean. They say "The best chips in the town" I found them to be not very special... Twice I asked for my doner meat to be well done, and twice I was dissapointed, but the meat was good quality. I will return, and try other meals on the menu, which is very varied... This is a one stop fast food place for all, and delivers free if over £10 order...

I was first customer I make order for doner kebab and I see when guy cook doner meat on grill i think from last night. I just check this food and put to the bin was disgusting.

Ordered online. Waited an hour for burger chips and kebab. All was cold when it arrived. Chips were like cardboard. When we complained they replaced kebab in 10 mins but it too was cold and they argued that previous delivery was cold. All we wanted was a basic takeaway. Instead we got cold awful food and an argument. Avoid this place

Ordered food from chickoland the other nite, the chicken & chips was dry and cold as if it had been cooked at lunchtime in the day n re heated n gone cold... the pizza wasn't hot either, and plus they messed up the icecream flavours, and at £4.50 a tub I wasn't very impressed! So emailed that nite explaining what had happened, no reply. The next day I called restaurant to talk to boss as I wanted refund or the food replaced another day, this guy said to call bk in a little while so i waited n called back as they didn't bother calling me back, drivelled on about giving me 1 free pizza-I said no I'm not happy with tht it was 2 meals tht were cold... they were having none of it!! So I was calling them back chasing them a couple of times and no help or decency phone call off the boss like they said he would when he was available... it's been a few days now and still no email or phone call... won't refund me or just let me have the food for free for THEIR mistake!! disgusting service and No customer service whatsoever! They lost me as a customer now. DO NOT GET FOOD HERE BECAUSE IF YOU ARENT HAPPY, THEY WONT REFUND YOU OR GIVE A DAMN!

Standard fried chicken and kebab shop. Not the best chicken ive had but ok. My spicy chicken wings werent the greatest and one wing i dont even think I could class as a chicken wing it was so small. Chips cooked fresh in front of you.

to start off the delivery took well over an hour, then a wrong pizza was delivered. we called back and the member off staff said to keep the pizza and they will bring another one up. when they got to my house my girlfriend answered and just expected to get the pizza and accept an apology. when the driver asked her to show him the pizza she did so, and he started aggressively shouting at my girlfriend saying that she ate the pizza when the person we called said to just keep the pizza anyway. as we had to wait a good 45 minutes for the next pizza my girlfriend ate a couple of slices as she didn't dislike the pizza itself, it was just not what we ordered. the drivers reaction and attitude was completely disgusting and had no suitability to normal customer service policies. Of course I was very angry so I called back and explained to the manager what happened, expecting some sort of reason for his actions, but instead the MANAGER decided to shout at me, calling me a lyer and telling me to go elsewhere because he didn't want me there. This was the most pathetic excuse for customer service I have ever seen in my life. Also just to note me and my girlfriend ordered from this every week and gained much respect for the shop, this just proves how wrong we we're. Please take something from this and order from elsewhere.

Mum and I had come here after driving around Bristol and Bath for an hour trying to find a Pizza Hut delivery. With my allergies I often find it hard to find somewhere which can accommodate what I can eat, however after talking to staff we realised the pizza bases didn't have any milk or egg in and I could have the pizza with no cheese. We both ordered one. The wait was rather long however the food tasted good so it was worth it! Only downsize was the size of the pizzas! Not as big as you may think so buy the bigger size! Luckily we had some snacks in our bag as after half an hour we were Peckish again.

Chick o land - kebab was so bad chicken still blood on, asked for salad only gave red cabbage, onion, and lettuce, I also ordered chips and cheese there was wedges and chips mixed with cold cheese not even melted. Asked for chilli sauce and garlic mayo didn't even arrived. Spoke to the owner, he was keep giving excuses they do give cucumber or tomato in salad, he said he is going to start giving them in salad. Such a bad experience quality and quantity was extremely poor - Disgusting.

Me and my mates often order take away from this place. It's not healthy and we ought not to but it's very quick, it's reasonably priced and it is actually quite tasty. Because of the frequency over the years service can vary but on the occasion I'm reviewing, the delivery was super fast, the food as expected (as said, tasty - but still cardboard nontheless). End of the day you don't use a fried chicken local takeaway for gourmet or even good food experiences so I'm not reviewing in that context. I'm reviewing in context of 'nasty' fried chicken, and the truth is Chick-o-Land is very addictive, very nice and reasonable in price.

The Chicken knocks the spots off KFC which is a 5 minute drive from the Keynsham High street where Chick o land is located.When you ask you get for example If you just want breast that's what you get..that ain't the story at KFC you get what you are given and the chicken is a lot to be desired..Hence the reason why we don't waste energy and fuel going there, back to Chick o Land, the chicken pieces are tasty juicy succulent and above else mouth watering.
