This place has something for absolutely everyone! We have taken hardcore meat lovers, spice enthusiasts, picky eaters, Scoville-avoidance types, and even whole food plant-based people have eaten well here! My personal favorite thing is their rainbow rice; which is insanely flavorful and gingery while still being a very clean dish, but when the so many amazing options, why no t explore the menu for yourself?

Literally the best Chinese in Bristol, whether you’re vegan or not!! Absolutely obsessed with the crispy chilli beef and chow mein! The chicken balls are unreal. Once I turned veggie I thought I’d never have the same Chinese experience again but omg this is even better- thanks guys!!

Ordered the kung po tofu and stir fry veg which did not disappoint Tastier and fresher than any Chinese takeaway I've ever had - 10/10 recommended and will return 😋 Girl serving was very helpful and friendly too.

Unbelievable, I’m not a vegan myself but this is by far the best takeaway I’ve ever had. Everything tastes fresh and amazing, is cooked perfectly, and isn’t greasy in anyway. They also use fully recyclable packaging! Absolutely would recommend.

Absolutely amazing the food was so tasty especially the premium vegan duck chow mein. The vegan satay chicken skewers were tasty with a great tasting sauce, the vegan spring rolls wish I had ordered more they were gorgeous will definately order from here again will be a firm favourite

First time ordering and it was amazing! Food was delicious, nicely presented/packaged and hot, delivered on time. I had the crispy chilli beef, mock duck chow mein and salt and pepper chips. The chilli beef was amazing texture and taste, very sweet but really tasty. The chow mein was delicious and rivalled any meat version I’ve had. The food all looked colourful, fresh and appetising not just brown and greasy as is so often the case with a Chinese. Would definitely recommend and order again

Hidden vegan gem for sure. Everything is fresh and packed full of flavour. Not really comparable to other Chinese takeaways as Cheung's blows them out the water. Dont be put off by the portions at first because each dish is incredibly filling.

really lovely high quality food - wish they had a restaurant as well as take away. The food is flavoursome and the vegetables are really well flavoured. We have now tied a variety of food and have found all the different meals really lovely.

My friend and I tried this place about a week ago. The staff were friendly and welcoming, happy to discuss their favourite menu items and recommend dishes to try. We both loved the food - just as good as a non-vegan place but without the stress of worrying about cross-contamination and mix-ups. We'll definitely be back again soon!

Best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had.

The best Chinese takeaway in Bristol! Only ever had delivery, always arrives quickly and all food really hot. Every dish we have tried has been incredible.. the crispy chilli “beef” and “duck” pancakes being the best! Would eat nowhere else now for Chinese. 10/10!

I order from here all the time. My go to’s are the vegetable chow mein, veggie wedgie and seasonal vegetables. Always delicious and never a disappointment.

I live in Italy and miss proper British Chinese food, Cheungs did not disappoint! I ordered a ridiculous amount of food and planned to take it back with me to Italy (I packed Tupperware specifically!) but I grazed all night, unable to stay away, and finished it everything! The crispy chilli “beef” was amazing, and a highlight for me… but I loved it all! The spring rolls, the “duck” chow mein, the “duck” pancakes… the delux sweet and sour “chicken”… it was all perfect! Also, it was really fresh tasting and not greasy, which was an upgrade for me, before I was vegan and ate regular Chinese I often felt the meal was a little greasy and weighed me down, this didn’t have that feeling at all! I stayed in a hotel in town and used Deliveroo to get the food - super quick and affordable and everything was intact on arrival. I’ll definitely be a customer whenever I’m back in the UK, it was 10/10 perfect for me!

I was only in Bristol for one night, and I’m so glad I found Cheungs and decided to get it delivered to my hotel! 10/10 worth missing a sit down restaurant for, the food was impeccable! I ordered everything, and it was all amazing! My fave was crispy chilli vegan beef and vegan duck chow mein! Authentic Chinese flavors! What could be better!

Something very special here. Ordered for the first time during a stay in Bristol. Did not disappoint, unlike some Chinese food this was not at all greasy. Crispy chilli “beef” so tasty and the mock “duck” worked well… My non vegan eating dinner companion said wow as well!!! Will definitely order again if in Bristol…. 🙏🥢

Best Chinese in Bristol and beyond! All dishes are fresh, uniquely flavoured and tasty, never greasy, mock meat is just amazing. Service is more than you could ever ask for too, friendly, cheerful and the place is so clean. Can’t wait to come again.

OMG this was amazing. Swiftly delivered and looked and tasted great. Recently become a vegetarian and wanted to still enjoy takeaways but not be restricted. This was so good my meat eating partner agrees that this will be our regular place to go for chinese food!

Wow wow wow! I've come straight from the dining table to write this review because I'm so impressed with what I just ate. Every single meal was delicious, the satay skewers and sweet and sour were especially our favourite. My only improvement would be slightly more flavour in the chow mien but it was still so tasty and nothing a drip of curry/black bean sauce couldn't handle. The lady at the counter was so friendly too. We will definitely be coming back for more - thanks so much!

I’ve tried almost every vegan restaurant on Deliveroo and Uber Eats & this is STILL my go-to every time now. It’s so delicious and the ingredients feel like they’re really good quality. Even the presentation of the food makes it look amazing! They’ve put so much thought into this and I’m so glad a place like this exists! I recommend to everyone, even my non-vegan friends love the food. They’re also super speedy, no long wait times for food. Especially recommend the duck chow mein & chicken balls.

This place was amazing. The staff were very helpful. It had quirky dishes that I had never had before: I recommend the malysian curry, popcorn tofu and chicken balls. I wish it was closer to me.

I had food from Cheung’s many times and they never disappoint! My favourite from them is Grandma Tofu but the chow mien is also very very good. The people there are also very friendly and nice. Highly recommend this place!

Waiting over half hour when they said 15 minutes, pretended not to know who we are or what we ordered, how do they have that bad of a memory to not know or why didn’t they give us a receipt or order number, unnecessarily stressful

We’re not vegans but decided to give this a go. We were not disappointed. We’d usually order crispy chill beef from our regular Chinese, have to say this vegan alternative was possibly better. Tasty and light without the self loathing feeling. Would definitely recommend.

This has great flavour and none of the salt that usually puts me off Chinese take out. The duck pancakes were some of the best I've had, vegan or otherwise, and the spring rolls are magic. Will definitely go back

Really good authentic Chinese and its vegan. I particularly enjoyed the crispy mock duck, pancakes and sauce… I was NOT one of those vegans that didn't eat meat before I changed. I ate a lot of meat and to be able to have that experience without harming any animals… amazing..tastes great! Win win thank you.

Super delicious! I would order this over other Chineses every time because it tasted so much fresher and healthier and much less oily. Everything we ordered was great and takeaway comes in recyclable tubs too.

Delicious. We live in easy walking distance and were intrigued when it underwent renovation. My meat-loving boyfriend was sceptical. We first visited when my vegan friend came to stay and we thought it was great. Particularly a fan of the tofu and “chicken” dishes, as well as the Vietnamese rolls. Tasty, crunchy veg and whilst still indulgent it feels lighter than a “normal” Chinese. I am not vegan but have returned and will order again in future, either for myself or when veggie/vegan friends and family come to visit. I have not particularly enjoyed any other Chinese I’ve ordered in Bristol, they’ve all been so average or worse, so it’s a win.

Some of the best vegan food I’ve ever eaten! I recommend trying the duck chowmein, the chilli beef and the Kung po chicken. They have delicious prawn crackers too. The owner of the store is really nice too- super friendly!

This place is a little gem with excellent quality vegan food. The duck chow mein is a must. Brilliant service too, I would highly recommend Cheung’s to anyone looking to try a high quality modern Chinese Vegan food.

Amazing food and service! The lady on the front desk was so friendly and had a welcoming smile! We are vegan and we have never heard of a fully vegan takeaway before so when we heard about Chuengs vegan kitchen, we had to try it out and it was the best decision ever! The food was so tasty and it all came in recyclable containers! Everything was cooked to perfection with the right amount of herbs and spices! We are only down for the holidays so we are so gutted that we can’t eat more of this amazing food but we know where to go when we are down Bristol way again! This kitchen proves that vegan is the way forward and you get an even better taste and it’s not harmful to the environment! Thank you!!

I'm lucky to have this place so close to me, normally Chinese food makes me feel a bit queasy afterwards as it is so gloopy, but not this place. Very good quality, reasonably healthy food, lots of choice, you don't need to be vegan to love it. They care about making good food, not just cheap crap that many takeaways offer.

Hands down the best Chinese takeaway I’ve had- vegan or not! Every dish has had time and care taken over it, from flavours to presentation. I Have been wanting to try chilli beef again for a long time since turning vegan and wasn’t disappointed. Worth every penny!

Amazing! It's a bit pricey but SO worth it - as a vegan who used to enjoy meat, I was delighted with how convincing the meat substitutes were - the duck, kung po chicken - amazing. But the vegan calamari was really the star of the show. On top of this, the food is of much higher quality than most Chinese takeaways. Lots of veg (nice veg, too), very well-seasoned and well-garnished, and not swimming in grease! Very impressed, and very pleased - this is going to be my new go-to!

The food was absolutely delicious ! I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian but because I have always ordered from Cheungs, I thought I'd give their new menu a try. Everything we ordered tasted very "realistic" (crispy beef, chicken satay, duck chow mein) so we are ordering again this evening for the actual vegan in the family to try. Came across this place by accident today and was the most amazing find. I've been unable to have a really great authentic Chinese cuisine experience since becoming vegan, and this restaurant totally fulfilled all my great memorys of a great takeout but with fantastic plant based alternatives. I will definitely be returning. I had the Vegan Lemon Shrimp, Chilli beef and boiled rice. All dishes tasted fresh, flavourful and were nice and hot even by the time I got home. The staff were very friendly, super efficient and the place was very clean and tidy. Can't recommend enough for a great vegan Chinese takeout.

We were excited to find this place online as we were going to be passing through Bristol and wanted something that you don’t find everyday. To be able to order anything from the menu and know it was vegan without any modifications was so refreshing. Our order was ready at the exact time we selected and the communication was great. The food was absolutely excellent - the ‘chicken balls’ were delicious and served in a very inventive way. My partner thought that the lemon ‘fish’ was the best fish substitute he has ever come across. The rainbow rice and chow mein were as good as any takeaway I’ve had. The only negative was that the price was much higher than an ordinary Chinese takeaway but we were prepared to pay for quality food and we weren’t disappointed.

I used to be amazing before it turned vegan. Honestly I’m seriously upset at it I grow up having food for this place a lot then they suddenly turned vegan and what I like was cut from the menu basically. It’s awful now. Not to mention that the prices have skyrocketed up. I thought it was decently dear before but now you have to be like a millionaire to buy from there. I have a picture of what it looked like when the place was amazing. I loved the meal so much back then that I took a picture of it.

Every time me and my boyfriend have ordered from here, we are just so impressed. The quality and taste of the food is amazing. I went vegan a little over a year ago, and so I still have days where I miss the taste of meat, but you don’t have that here whatsoever. The substitutes they use are so good! The price is pretty reasonable considering the quality of food you’re getting too. Best vegan place I’ve ever ordered from :)

WOW!!! The most incredible food ever.. and fully VEGAN!! VEGAN CHINESE FOOD!!! the options on this menu are so amazing! BY FAR THE BEST CHINESE FOOD / VEGAN FOOD! Top notch vegan Chinese food. Usually after a Chinese or any takeaway you feel full and with most Chinese type takeaways can feel salty or a bit sickly. This was the total opposite, delicious and also really quick, ordered and collected in 15 minutes.

We ordered a meal for four from here the other night. When the order arrived we were immediately struck but how beautifully packaged the food was. Portions are great, food is beautifully cooked. Absolutely delicious! Fresh and colourful ingredients. Deliciously intense flavours. Portion sizes are perfect, loads more than it seem in the pictures. Definitely worth the little extra in cost. 👍

By nature I'm reluctant to eat out; I expect to be disappointed usually am. A friend recommended Cheungs so thought I'd give it a try. I learnt late on that it was a vegan Chinese menu and had visions of some run of the mill chinese takeaway food with the best bits substituted for some rubber tofu. I couldn't have been more wrong. Every dish (presented with care and consideration) was served in recyclable card based bowls. The ingredients were clearly fresh and of high quality, no fillers such as onions or large lumps of green pepper to pad things out. The flavours were sublime and far removed from the standard chinese fair found nearly every takeaway. For the record we had Malaysian Vegan Curry, Kung Po Vegan Chicken, Jasmine Rice, Stir Fry Seasonal Greens and Sweet & Sour Vegan Chicken Balls with crispy noodles (not strictly balls). Despite the presence of a 12 year old boy who would usually baulk at the idea of vegan food (despite having a vegan sister and vegetarian mum) it was universally declared a total success with nothing to moan about and only high praise. I'm told that seitin is the meat replacement and I must say whatever Cheungs do to prepare it, it works. I thoroughly recommend the food.
