Absolutely delicious food and coffee! Lots of gluten free options. I really like the art for sale.

My new favourite cafe in Norwich 🥰 Ever since I discovered Cherry Leaf, I can't get enough of it! I have coeliac disease, and their gluten free options are AMAZING - the best I have ever EVER seen in a cafe! Gluten free wraps, toasties, sandwiches and SO many cake options. Today, I think there were about 9 or 10 different options - from cupcakes to thick slices of cake to brownies to flapjacks etc. etc. I can highly recommend the chai lattes and hot chocolates - my favourite is a gingerbread flavoured one with almond milk. They have lots of dairy free milk choices, and most of the cakes are dairy free too. I had the most incredible blueberry muffin here a few weeks ago, and today I had a blueberry and lime slice of cake. It was so moist and tasty - my friend could not tell the difference to non-gluten free cake. I can't wait to try their other bakes. I also had the hummus, roast pepper, and tomato toasted wrap which was so yummy. It comes with crisps and salad too. The cafe itself has a wonderful atmosphere - very cosy and friendly, and the staff are very warm and smiley. I love the decor and it is spacious inside. There are sofas and cosy corners to sit and chat with friends. Thank you Cherry Leaf for making such delicious gluten free food - it makes me so happy to have more than one option. You guys are the best 🩷 Update: Can highly recommend their Gluten Free toasted 'focaccia' with goats cheese, walnut, and onion Marmelade, their vegan flapjack, and their gluten free chai cake with cream cheese. INCREDIBLE 😍❤️ Update 2: their smoothies are delicious and filling, I recommend mixed berries, banana, and peanut butter 😋 sadly, their gluten free raspberry streusel cake was wayyy too sweet for my personal taste, but I love the creativity

Really lovely place for breakfast and lunch. Staff are very friendly and the food is consistently brilliant. I come here a lot. My only note for improvement is that all the staff take a barista course. The coffee is always rather foamy, and drinks like a flat white should have no foam at all. Plant milks are harder to get to a nice consistency, but it is possible if you are shown some tricks by a professional. I think if this improvement is made it would be the perfect cafe experience. Edit: upon looking at other reviews I can see photos of beautiful non-foamy flat whites and lattes! Perhaps this is just one person I am regularly served by that needs proper barista training. Not only was breakfast incredible, but when I left my bag behind the staff went above and beyond to get it back to me. Loads of gluten free cakes too!

Really appreciate that my wife can eat there without worry about gluten free options because nearly everything is either gluten free or can be adapted. We have eaten there many times and taken cakes home and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend for eating in or takeaway.

Best gluten free cakes in Norwich, I won't get treats from elsewhere. The staff are all so friendly too, I come here a lot and have yet to be disappointed! I usually end up getting more than one slice of cake to takeaway as it's so good.

Lovely coffee and cake, unfortunately there are hidden charges (£1.40) that customers aren't made aware of beforehand or at the time of ordering. I walked in and ordered from the counter (where prices were shown) and then sat down when they cleaned off a table. At the end, I payed and walked out and realised as soon as I left that it was more than it should have been. Went back in and was told there is a fee to eat in, which is apparently listed on the menu... but I had never been given a menu and everyone seems to order at the counter like I did. I didn't see any menus on any tables. Please just price items accordingly and don't hide charges. It leaves a bad taste after what could have been a lovely visit. On that basis, sadly, I won't be back as there are so many other nice places to go in Norwich.

Nice to find a cafe with such great reviews for gluten free food. My piece of cake was lovely and my friend had a nice toastie sandwich. Prices very fair and they clearly have lots of happy regulars as it was very busy. The service, however, was quite poor. The type of vibe where you feel you are a bit of an imposition for ordering food / drinks. They were busy, but it is not good to put your stress onto the customers. Perhaps it was just a couple of staff needing some more training. They also have a 70p cover charge for people who eat in. I understand totally the extra charge but it is an odd business decision in terms of marketing. It would be best to advertise a discount for taking away and to raise their prices accordingly. So overall, thank you so much for being coeliac safe but gluten free food should come with good service too!

A lovely little cafe on the edge of the city centre. We dropped in for a light weekday brunch and were greeted by cheerful, friendly staff in a realistic, clean environment. Prices are pretty reasonable given the location and there are enough options to cater to most needs (including vegan and gluten free). Whilst we stuck to the breakfast menu, their cakes looked excellent and the salads (on the specials menu) sounded enticing too.

Cherry Leaf, coffee shop St Giles Street, Norwich, NR2 1LW What a find in Norwich. We had lovely coffee and a filled toasted Ciabatta's Cherry Leaf also have a delicious breakfast menu and light bites and cakes. It's dog friendly in side the coffee shop.

Visited for the first time today and was very impressed. Had a lovely coffee made with care and a delicious toasted wrap. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back

This was our first time visiting the cherry leaf cafe. We brought our furry pet with us. The cakes we had were delicious and the lovely coffee was good value. The chocolate banana and coconut cake was yummy! The service was great, so friendly and so welcoming to us and our dog. They offered him a bowl of water which was very thoughtful. We got chatting to some other friendly customers. We will definitley be back.

A friendly gem in the city. Good food and coffee. Can only cater for about 20 at any one time, but worth waiting for. Friendly staff. Takeaway available.

This cafe is a little gem. Staff are very accommodating and the atmosphere relaxed, no pressure is put upon you to leave. Good selection of cakes which are reasonably priced and the same applies for the choice of beverages. Great menu selection too.

You know something is not right when the owner don’t respond to negative feedback,or give a explanation..another high street cafe squeezing the public purse charging you to sit in the establishment.I have heard of a discretionary service charge.never knew you had to pay to walk in the place.sneaky and sly charge.

Over priced cafe.my plate had a airline crack.not hygienic.the breakfast ok.tough bacon.hard sausages.sourdough breat was over done and the butter melted was like water.the audacity to charge customers to eat in there is ridiculous.1st and last visit..another bad point the length of time to be served and get the food.27 minutes.pathetic...plenty of other decent cafes nearby..

Overpriced food.long wait for food to arrive,waited around 25 minutes for a breakfast.plate was cracked.1st and last visit.much better places to eat around norwich..they even have the audacity to charge you for eating in there..its no suprize that these cafes are closing down..I'm sure this will be another casualty before long.. goodluck

Have been In Norwich from Brighton for 3 days to celebrate wife's birthday. Popped in Friday and had tea and coffee which was great and also liked the pictures that were for sale. Decided to pop back Saturday for a late breakfast and buy a framed picture of 2 foxes. Place was full and had to wait to get a seat. Great vegan options. Food was freshly cooked to order and tasted great. Service was polite and friendly. The only thing I didn't like was seeing someone who had one coffee which he'd finished and just sat there reading his paper. We were in there 50 mins and he was still sat there when we left. There were numerous people who came in wanting to sit down but no tables available. Seemed very selfish to the other people. It must be a fine line of not being rude, trying to get people to finish up and leave when they've finished. For a small independent place you cannot afford to have people spending £3 on a coffee and spending an hour or more to drink it. Thanks for the great food.

Cafe with a variety of delightfully sweet options - cakes, scones, brownies. It would be hard to resist such a treat. Fruit scone was nice, and the coffee was delicious.

On one of my regular but infrequent visits to Norwich, I found that both of my two favourite lunch venues had closed. Google found the Cherryleaf for me, and what a find! I was welcomed warmly, which is not always the case for a solo customer, and chose a Moroccan squash and carrot salad. It was delicious, flavourful and large, leaving me no room for any the tempting cakes on disply. It was also very good value for money. I shall certainly return.

Lovely staff, a nice comfortable place to sit and eat, and delicious cakes. I had a raspberry and whitechocalte muffin and it was sooooo good. Very moist and light and the frosting on top was rich and creamy - better than a lot of cakes (and it was gluten free which i didnt even know). Definitely would say to come here.

Popped in whilst waiting for someone else in the city. Lovely place and lovely, polite, welcoming staff. I only had a coffee, but the staff didn't make me feel unwelcome by sitting in with just a coffee, nor did I feel rushed to leave which I have done in orevious places. Presentation was beautiful, only £3 for a latte! Thank you all ❤

What an incredible find as a gluten-free eater! Lots of meal options and SO MANY DELICIOUS CAKES 😍 Lovely comfortable seating, not overcrowded. Friendly staff and a good vibe for meeting a friend or for getting some work done. Will definitely be returning whenever I’m in the area.

So lovely to have so many GF choices for breakfast/lunch and especially cake. The staff are attentive & the food is spot on. Definitely worth a visit. Approx 5 min walk from Norwich Market.

I grabbed some breakfast to go from here as it was just across the road from our apartment. The topped porridge was delicious - absolutely loaded with berries and seeds. My missus had a croissant with emantel and ham which she really enjoyed. They even made her a hot chocolate with oatmilk too. My expectations were exceeded

My daughter , granddaughter and myself had lunch at the Cherry Leaf cafe yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our food was delicious, hot and tasty and nicely presented. We were made to feel most welcome with my baby granddaughter accommodated cheerfully. We are looking forward to returning to Cherry Leaf again soon 😁

Lovely place, one oft favourites in Norwich. All cakes are baked on the premises, and they're all gluten free. So, if you need or want to avoid gluten, Cherry Leaf is an excellent option. I would very much welcome cakes without sugar, using stevia and erithrit. This would help many people who are diabetic or are on a low carb diet. Nice ambience, kind staff.

I come here often for a break from the office and it's really comfortable. The pink hot chocolate is amazing and the selection of cakes and bakes are out of the world

Tasty food for sure ..... BUT ...... unfortunately left a very sour taste when I went to pay and they slapped on a £1.20 cover charge - something that must have been very well hidden in their menus, and which I thought in any case had disappeared from British cafes decades ago. Then to top it all I got home and realised they'd also over-charged us anyway. So counter-productive - there are plenty other cafe choices in Norwich, so I'll just use those instead in future.

We liked the photos but the reality let us down. The place had an unfinished look and even when the waitress wiped the table (not exactly thoroughly) it was still stained with crumbs on it.. The chairs were yellow and plastic, not matching the tables, and were too low and uncomfortable. Toilets were being refurbished (I think) and the corridor was dark. Sausage butty was tasty but arrived when we had nearly finished hot drinks (which weren't very hot) and absolutely awful. Cappuccino tasted oddly sweet (and not because of the few grains of chocolate on top). A disappointing visit after a long traipse to find it.

We visited here after I researched gluten free cafes in Norwich and this seemed like a safe bet with me being coeliac. I’ve never visited any café with such fabulous gluten free choices. I opted for the gluten free toasted ciabatta with bacon, Brie and cranberry sauce. This was served with crisps and lightly dressed salad leaves. It was absolutely delicious. My husband chose the normal toasted ciabatta with bacon, Brie and onion marmalade. His was huge and also served with the crisps and dressed salad. Although he did say it was nice, my husband didn’t enjoy his as much due to the fact that there was a little more marmalade on the sandwich than he would have liked. But this may just be personal preference. The cafe was lovely and clean and the staff were pleasant. They had a huge range of cakes and I do wish that I had bought some to takeaway. They also allow dogs and have treats on the side in a jar to give them which I think is great! The only down side for me, I used the toilet whilst there. They are clearly undergoing a renovation and only the disabled toilet is in use which was fine. But there was no where to dry my hands after washing them. There was an electric hand dryer under the sink that was not yet installed. In which case, I would at least expect to see paper towels and a bin? Overall, a fabulous experience and that 1 thing certainly wouldn’t stop me visiting again.

I regularly visit this impressive little cafe, often for breakfast or brunch. Deserves 5* for food and service. Everything is freshly made and I can tell you that the cakes are delicious (as well as the porridge with berries and seeds!). Gemma and her team...

I've only tried the muffins, cake, flapjack, and brownies (vegan options available). The muffins especially are sensational - but everything I've had so far has been really good. I don't get the chance to go in often as their opening times clash with my work...

This independent coffee shop and snack bar is just off the city centre. We tried the scones but the homemade cakes looked very appetising. There is also a range of toasted sandwiches, wraps etc. on the menu. Prices were very reasonable for a city centre location.

What a gem of a place this is we stubbled on Food was outstanding and coffee to die for. A very warm welcome and dog friendly too. A good selection of cakes. Pleasant place to enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Will definitely call again when we are on our holidays here in Norfolk.

An absolute gem! The decor gives the place a lovely light, fresh modern feel, and the size and location contributes to a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The vegan chocolate orange cake was delicious and the oat milk cappuccino was excellent. The staff were absolutely superb and made me feel incredibly welcome, nothing was too much trouble and the service was also first class. Thank you for a great customer experience and I’ll definitely be returning, highly recommended.

Went here for lunch with friends here recently. It's a very small cosy place, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. There choice of gluten free options is fantastic, most of their cakes are, as well as options for the food. As for the food, I had a bacon and egg gluten free toasted sandwich, which was gloriously tasty. Anyone who wants a friendly environment to sit and chat with friends should come here.

Wow, amazing posh porridge! Decorated with honey, cranberries, blueberries and seeds. It was delicious and there was plenty of it. My black coffee was also excellent. In a big cup with lots of crema on top. Lovely, rich and nutty, Mmmmm A fabulous breakfast. All very reasonably priced. Service was perfect. Nice, relaxed ambiance. I will return to try the other delicious porridge toppings, and enjoy the fabulous coffee.

Luckily another party had about finished their lunch so we were able to eat in this small cafe. We enjoyed their butternut squash quinoa salad with tiny tomatoes, seeds and chopped cucumber, and a ham and cheese ciabatta with salad and crisps. Tea and peppermint...
