Super coffee. Shop a bit basic and service a touch slow.

DIDNOT TRY FOOD. Coffee shop recommended to us by Sevenoaks hi fi store. If the locals recommended it, then it must be good. Lovely coffee, really smooth, hot, creamy latte. Pity there is no star mark for drinks cos this place is a 10 plus. For such a small place the place was really clean, especially the loo. Great team behind the till and can't wait yo try the coffee at home.

Favourite place to get coffee in town. Flat white and chai latte can't be beaten!

Visited and had a hot chocolate it looked too beautiful to drink. I was feeling low and upset . The staff member a lady who's.name starts with an R (I think ) was very kind to me. I will definitely be back.

The coffee was great and the baristas very knowledgeable, taking time to explain the origins of the beans we had had. The coffee was excellent, and a cute little spot!

We were very happy to nab a table in the sun at Strangers. The atmosphere was very pleasant and jolly. The coffee here was excellent, difficult to fault. I had a lovely pastel de nata, crisp pastry which is a rarity but essential! Also a generous glass of freshly squeezed orange juice at a reasonable price. We will be back when we return to Norwich

Oat flat white was really just perfect.

Very burnt and stewed coffee. Service was incredibly slow with not a hint of friendliness.

Strangers is a nice place, lovely decor inside and out. Food was okay at best. Limited vegetarian sandwich options (mozzarella panini), dissapointing. Service was a little slow, and when food/panini did come, it had a super biscuity texture, which was odd. Chai latte was nice however, so would recommend this! Although, not sure how cafés can still get away with charging more for milk alternatives - dissapointing. They unfortunately are not dog friendly, so when it was raining we had to sit outside - no issues as they had coverings! Overall, nice place for a coffee.

Stopped by here for a coffee because we'd heard good things about the place. We had our little cavapoo with us and we're told dogs were allowed in to order but not to sit in. Somewhat disappointed we couldn't sit because it was raining we said we'd have our coffees outside on the bench. The person on the till said they'd serve them in takeaway cups but then came out with them in ceramic cups and saucers, so we had no choice but to sit there in the rain and drink our coffees rather than take them away. The vegan sausage roll is nice.

Drank two contrasting espresso. Barista helped me understand the differences. Really enjoyed it. Thank you.

I stopped here for a morning coffee and almond croissant. The coffee was excellent, as was the food, and the service was great. There are only a handful of tables and these were all taken by people on laptops stretching their coffees out as far as they dare, but that's not really the coffees shop's fault. I perched in the window and watched the world go by. Definitely worth a visit

As a coffee shop owner, stranger truly live up to its reputation, flat white was smooth and silky. Excellent coffee but I still think it’s the barista that’s makes the different. My previous coffee with stranger was hit and miss unfortunately.

The best coffee in the city, with a cozy atmosphere. Great variety of coffee beans with amazing service. Underrated hot chocolate.

Visiting from Sydney for xmas and have to admit that the flat white is better than anything we get in Australia. Full marks!

Love this place. Really reasonably priced and the staff are always up for a chat about coffee. Really shows the passion for the job at hand. Great recommendations on coffee ground’s but I have to say, the coffee is better there and then!

By far the best coffee in Europe/UK! As an Australian travelling through Europe, I’ve found it near impossible to find any coffee that is remotely drinkable. Just as I had lost hope, I popped into Strangers and my mind was blown. I have been back everyday and the coffee has been consistently amazing. Simply delicious and SO REASONABLE (£1 cheaper than the burnt brew you can get from Costa). Shame I can’t pack this cafe into my suitcase and make it my new local in Sydney. Can not recommend this place enough!

Nice people, but truly the most disgusting cup of any fluid that has ever entered my mouth. I've licked nicer batteries. I have to assume this was a one off event and they were cleaning the machine.

This café is located in a quaint and historic street. There is not a lot of space inside, but there is also some seating outside. The coffee was good quality. It was an enjoyable place for a coffee break.

Good location, good coffee: but perhaps it's time you stopped charging 40p extra for plant milk? It's a common request, 40p is in no way reflective of the extra cost to you, it seems like a sneaky way of upping your margins at vegans' expense...

Have been here many times in the past. Always enjoy their mint tea.

My 5 stars are for the coffee, I don't think I've had food there. A very good filter and excellent flat whites - beans for sale are good too, El Perezoso from Costa Rica was particularly good

I walked up to your Pottergate shop this morning to grab a coffee and almond croissant, it was 0810. When I asked your employee whether you were open he abruptly said NO! and walked off into the shop. Whilst I appreciate you don’t open until 0830 ( which I wasn’t aware of at the time), what I didn’t appreciate was the tone and rudeness of your employee effectively telling me to sod off!! I assume he gets asked the same question at the same time every day of the week. My advice would be don’t open your door and get the tables out into the street until 0829. Although you sell the best croissants in Norwich I still won’t be revisiting your shop in the future Btw I had to put 1 star as I wouldn’t have been able to post the review with zero stars.

Went in as was passing by and fancied an ice latte (perfectly made, nice, strong and ice cold). Atmosphere was very welcoming, chilled and relaxed. Staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. One staff member told me about some facinating fermentation processes currently going on in the industry which I'll be on the look out for the end product. Definitely learned something new and interesting today! Purchased a bag of their columbian roast, came home and made a cup, beautifully balanced, sweet and fruity and staff member did say it would smell of cheesecake and absolutely did. It was an all round exceptional experience. Certainly will be my new favourite coffee haunt in the city. Highly recommend a trip to Strangers.

A nice coffee shop, not a great deal of space inside if busy to sit down. Coffee is good, if I was being picky however, I would say my cortado was slightly over bitter and over extracted. Could have easily been a poor shot though as my girlfriend enjoyed her coffee & had no complaints.

I went to Stranger Coffee to get my caffeine fix before an event, hoping to find a fruity coffee. The staff kindly offered me a taste of their filter coffee before making a purchase. The coffee had a fruity taste, reminiscent of pineapple, with a subtle fermented aroma. It was an excellent coffee, especially for its affordable price!

Best coffee I’ve had in a long time. I’ve been all over the world and this is some of the finest coffee money can buy and the prices are very reasonable. Staff are really friendly, seating area was clean and tidy. Cannot fault these guys at all. Keep up the amazing work!

It's a bit city-centre-noisy but the coffee is great, and the warm apricot pastries are amazing. Prices are fine.

A bit pricier than some of the chains in Norwich but definitely worth it! I begrudgingly pay the oat milk upcharge because their flat whites are the best!

The absolute best coffee available in Norfolk, so many varieties around the world, it tells you the origin, cultivar or variety, how its processed and the roasting date, which is usually within a few weeks if not days depending on when you get it. I never thought coffee could have such a complex taste before having this coffee. I always buy my coffee here and i dont see how anywhere else can compete. Ps i usually get it from the Greengrocers on earlham road, which is also a great place :)

Everything they sell is the most outstanding food that I have ever tasted. This is an amazing establishment! You can buy coffee from both the coffee shop and the roaster, both within short distance of each other. At the roaster, you can only get take-away, but I find that the roaster’s queues are about 1/10 of the cafe’s.

The coffee is DeLiCIoUs, I would always go here over: Starbucks, Costa, etc. The only advantage of the aforementioned franchises is seating areas, although certain Strangers do have outside seating. The staff are always cheery and clearly have a passion for good/great coffee (you can tell by the way they look when they make it - no I don't stare...maybe). Find one - give it a go - realise how much money you've wasted elsewhere - get the caffeine shakes.

Nice coffee, but unfortunately have a limited milk alternative selection. I think they only offer Oat, perhaps Soya is an option too but don't quote me on that. I wish they offered pea, rice, almond or coconut as then people with food allergies may be able to drink here. Love the outside seating, do wish the inside was more comfortable to sit in, all hard chairs from what I remember pre-covid.

Best coffee spot in Norwich, and yes I’ve tried them all. All they are lacking is a place to sit and chat inside for the cold months. Price is good as well. My family and I find ourselves coming back time and time again.

Had the displeasure of a couple of their espresso shots while dining at the Junkyard Market. Never in my life have I had such a revolving taste in my mouth. Until that moment I had no idea Coffee beans could 'go off' but I can assure you they had! .. 0/5 never again. Horrid stuff.

For a well established, prominent presence in Norwich city centre with their own roasting facility obtaining beans far and wide, Strangers wasn’t anything exceptional. A smooth roast granted but below average customer service and a general unwelcoming feel. Strangers needs to remembers it’s origins and that it was once a humble independent.

Always the best coffee and sausage rolls in Norwich! But what has happened to Covid security? Whilst they have a table as a counter in the doorway, neither of the 2 staff were wearing masks and were serving customers, who mostly were not wearing masks either, far closer than 2 metres. Hence 4 stars instead of 5.

Paramos a tomar un café y un pastel una mañana de agosto. El café era excelente y tuvimos que volver y pedir más trozos de baya crumble ya que era increíble. Lo que realmente noté también fue la gran atención a la prevención de COVID que la persona que trabajaba allí estaba haciendo, excelentes calificaciones. Tiene un pequeño patio con 2 pequeñas mesas al aire libre.
