This was our first experience with clam chowder. It did not disappoint. The staff was very friendly and hilarious. We would absolutely go back here.

The place is extremely busy, understandable that staff can get annoyed by oblivious customers. Food both lobster and soup was below average, and I would recommend taking your money elsewhere with so many places around the block.

this is a joke. the lobster sandwich is the size of a kids meal, smaller than my hand! it does not look like the picture at all. the sandwich is just hotdog bread, lobster, butter, and nothing else. it was okay but paying $45 for that was ridiculous. chowder was also just okay. they charge you extra for the sandwich being hot. very disappointed.

I went there after hearing that it was the most famous lobster roll and clam chowder place in Quincy Market in Boston. The portion was generous and the bread was delicious. It was my first time trying this dish, but it was delicious, perhaps because of the lobster in it. I think it came to about $80 for 2 lobster rolls, clam chowda, and a coke. It was delicious, but the price was outrageous. Still, I recommend anyone coming to Boston to try it once.

I don’t even eat seafood but decided I had to try out the clam chowda while in Boston and this place was soo good! Busy atmosphere, fast paced, great service (offered samples), had vegetarian alternatives to accommodate allergies (corn chowda and tortilla soup were also v good).

I tried my first lobster roll ever here while on vacation. I continued trying lobster rolls as I traveled up the coast. This one was my favorite by far. The bun was soft with crispy edges. The lobster was warm, and there was plenty of it. It had a wonderful butter flavor. I got the combo with the clam chowder. It was great as well. The food came up within about 2 minutes of ordering. The food hall is so cool. If you visit Boston, the food hall, especially this place, needs to be on your list

I was so excited to eat here but it really disappointed me. Lobster roll was just okay. Chowder was a little bit better than the lobster roll but still I’ve had a lot better food than this place. There wasn’t a line so it was quick to order. As soon as I paid, the cashier started SHAKING the tip jar yelling at me “TIPS TIPS!!!”. I was so shocked and disgusting with how they were demanding for tips. RUDE!!!!! Never will I ever eat here again. Tourist trap 100000%

Food here is made quick and often left to wait for someone to order it. Food was good but it was cold. And it’s super expensive. Cool atmosphere though.

It’s an award winning Chowder soup, have to wait about 20mins. Most people buy a Lobster roll with chowder set. It cost around $35, price is fine. For the Lobster roll, it does not have heavy seasoning, just mixed butter and offer you lemon to bring the flavor. Allow you to taste original Lobster, and the bread is soft and yummy. Chowder is ok, enough creamy and delicious. They offer you cookie to put in the soup to add the crunchy element. It ok to be a mark dish for tourists visit here.

Without a doubt, the best and most expensive Lobsterroll in Boston. Every time I go to Boston I make a mandatory stop.

A seafood restaurant inside Quincy Market. You don't have to go to a fancy restaurant to get a Lobster Roll or Clam Chowder here. The chowder comes in bread, so be careful that it's a little difficult to eat and that it really fills you up. It's takeout only, so you'll need to find a table at the food court inside Quincy Market. During the tourist season, it can be so crowded that you have no choice but to stand and eat.

This clam chowder tasted uncannily like the last bowl of clam chowder that I had in South Carolina. Which did come from a can, a Chunky Campbell's Soup clam chowder can. The texture of the potatoes, the tiny bits of clam, the consistency and the flavor were an exact dupe of Campbell's soup which makes me 🤔. I ended up throwing it away because why waste calories in Boston on something I eat regularly in South Carolina. Take my advice and go elsewhere for you authentic clam chowda experience. You'll thank me.

Hot lobsta roll special(41.72$) Clam Chowda had a lot of potato inside and some lobsta. It was warm and nice. The main Lobsta Roll was nice too! The bread was cooked with butter and the lobsta was quite salty with the taste of sea salt. It was overall good and filling, but it was definitely expensive. I thought it would be 35.5$ as written in google but it was 42$ 😭

The real reason you are coming here is for the lobster. We had a hot butter lobster roll and while the meat was good, the bread ended up soggy ruining the texture of the roll. The chowder was excellent. It was rich, creamy, and held a generous amount of clams/potatoes.

Artur, Hamid, Aziz, and Macda treated me very well. I loved their hospitality and their recommendations. I cannot think of better service than this and the food for first timers is heaven. Please DO stop by here if you have the chance. It’s worth the money!!

I did my due diligence and researched ‘the best lobster roll’ I was at Quincy market by 1030 am for a lobster breakfast. It was good. It was really good. I would do it again for sure. I don’t think the person serving me said even one word to me, but that’s ok. I wasn’t there for convo.

I bought this Boston Chowder soup in Publix stores in the NMB area. I found the product has declined with the quality. 1st. The soup was very watery, we counted the amount of clams in the container and we found 4 clams, 4 potatoe diced in it. This was our go to soup last year but now, I will not even bother to buy it. It’s a waste of money. Its taste was purely diluted half and half. You should review your production and quality control or are you intentionally producing the worst product lately?

The market is very lively, as I wanted to try the typical Boston dish I chose the combo menu option that includes Lobster roll and clam chowder. There are two options, one cold with mayonnaise and one hot. Both in brioche bread. They are both very rich. In both cases, the menu is close to $38 or $40. Includes a drink. In other stalls the prices were similar or somewhat expensive. Lobster is more expensive than a hamburger or hot dog.

Don't go, you'll be discriminated against The staff was busy talking to the Western women next to them, so I paid without even listening to my questions about the menu. I ordered a bread bowl with lobster, but they picked out all the lobster and handed me a bread bowl with only soup. When I went back and questioned him again, he looked at the piece of bread and wondered if this was called lobster. He made me feel bad and changed it, but I thought he would point at me. I just had no idea.

I had a clam chowder and it was really good. This place is located inside the Quincy Market Building. So it is next to a lot of other businesses. It’s definitely a busy market but they take your order quickly and have you out just as fast. I also found the crew to be nice.

Do NOT come to this place! Food was alright. Service was terrible. It's located in a food court so ambiance was irrelevant. It was our first time visiting Boston so we had to try the infamous lobster roll at the food market. We picked this stall out of three other ones within Quincy market because the menu offered slightly more choices than other food stalls. We ordered a combo menu with a COLD lobster roll, a small clam chowda and a drink, a lobster Mac n cheese and a Hot buttered lobster roll. The taste of the food was nothing out of ordinary. The portion was very small and price was same as any other sit down restaurant but with much bigger portion. They mixed up our order for giving us 2 hot lobster rolls but we didn't bother switching because of their terrible attitude. The worst part of the dining experience was the attitude of the cashier. She was so rude to a point that she did not even bother looking at us when we ordered. She almost didn't want to answer our questions about the menu! Normally we leave at least 10% tip even for take out. But in this case we didn't bother because we did not feel like being treated like a customer, nor even as an equal individual. Pls don't come to this place if you value equality. It's a disgrace how Boston, a city with such rich colonial history, can tolerate businesses like this one to treat tourists in such unwelcoming manner. For lack of better description, I'd say it felt like racism more than anything else.

The hot lobster roll is absolutely perfect!

Basic clam chowder. I ate a hot lobster sandwich. The clam chowda size is small and large, and the size for adding bread is called mideum. For two people, the clam chowder and sandwich are enough to fill our stomachs.

Fantastic food and quickly served. The lobster roll had a generous portion of lobster and the cup of chowder was perfectly sized.

Best Clam Chowder I’ve ever eaten.

We've been lucky to get there on times and days where Quincy Market isn't too packed for lunch. They're usually very busy and the line can kind of packed up in their area, but believe me, it's worth the wait. The obvious Clam Chowder is the best I've had in Boston, the Mac&Cheese is also great, the lobster roll, too. I've not had a bad meal here in years we've been in the City. Under a C note for two people is a bargain with this quality and service is a rarity. Boston Bucket List #2. Try it out!

Was in Boston for the first time and was told I had to visit this place. Let me tell you I’m super glad I did. Had a Lobster Roll and Clam Chowder for my first time and I’ll just say that they definitely set the bar. Was a lot of food and delicious. I’d drive the 8 hours again just to come back here.

Definitely some of the best clam chowder in Boston!! This was my third time in Boston and each time I have eaten a clam chowder from Boston Chowda Co. It never disappoints and I recommend to anyone especially someone who has never eaten a clam chowder before your world will be rocked.

Boston Chowda was a bit disappointing. The mac and cheese was not fresh whatsoever and was clearly made a long time in advance. It was dry and stale. This was also the worst clam chowder I've had, although it was only my fourth time trying it, so it wasn't terrible. The chowder was too hot to eat for over 15 minutes, which was a bit frustrating, and contrasted with the mac and cheese which was immediately cold. The main benefit they offered was the quantity size, which was more than fair.

This is probably the busiest place in Quincy Market. I recommend trying the lobster roll and clam chowder set over the others. Eat warm lobster rolls baked with butter rather than cold ones. I can't say it's cheap, but it's delicious because it contains almost a whole lobster. Clam chowder is also delicious. However, there are no good places to eat. Still, it would be nice to try it while you are visiting Quincy Market.

Ok, so I've never had a New England Lobster Roll nor have I ever had Clam Chowder in my short 40 years on this planet BUT if anywhere else is a good as this was, OH MY. The lobster was meat and rich and there was just enough mayo, seasoning, ect. to add to the flavor without taking over. The clam chowder, I didn't know what to expect except I wasn't sure if I was going to like is as I don't like clams BUT wow! I didn't have much room after the Lobster Roll, but I managed to fit it all. I ate at 4pm and managed to stay full the rest of the night. My only constructive criticism is that my roll was a little on the hard side so checking those prior to sending them out would be beneficial. But it's no way enough to take away a full star. Definitely recommend and would definitely return.

We visited the Boston Chowda at Quincy Market. We visited on a Weekday evening and did not have to wait. I only ordered the clam chowder and it was very good! Very hot! A large was around $10 and it was enough for my dinner. Many of the other items on their menu seemed really expensive. Staff offered prompt service. We ate in the nearby rotunda. Downstairs was pretty full, but there is an upstairs as well that had a lot of seating available.

I recently visited Boston chowda at the Quincy Market, hoping to grab some lobster roll. However, my experience was nothing short of appalling due to the horrendous service I received. As I patiently waited in line, a staff member who wasn't even stationed at the registers had the audacity to ask me to get into line. I politely informed them that I was next in line and had been waiting patiently. To my shock, another server outright accused me of lying, claiming I was never in line. The exchange quickly turned confrontational, with the server's rude behavior escalating the situation. Just as I was about to leave, a fourth person emerged from the kitchen and offered a sincere apology. They inquired about my order and attempted to rectify the situation. Despite feeling incredibly disrespected by the previous encounter, I reluctantly proceeded to place my order for others. While I appreciate the effort of the fourth staff member to salvage the situation, the initial treatment I received was completely unacceptable. Such blatant disrespect and rudeness towards a paying customer are inexcusable. If it weren't for the intervention of the fourth staff member, I would have opted to take my business elsewhere. About the lobster roll, touted as a premium offering, was shockingly average, with a meager amount of lobster filling. Given the exorbitant price tag ($39), I anticipated a decadent indulgence of lobster goodness, but instead, I found myself struggling to detect any significant lobster presence amidst the overwhelming filler ingredients. Overall, my experience at Boston chowda was marred by poor customer service and a lack of professionalism. Pulse the quality of food is nowhere close to average expectations.

The guys working behind the counter were less than professional but service was fast. There’s seating and tables to stand at in the center courtyard of the market. The food was worth stopping by for!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I will always revisit this place when I'm in Boston. The chowder is so warm and delicious. The bread for the lobster roll is so warm and the lobster is so chewy.

The lobster roll was nice, warm, and buttery while the clam chowder was creamy and delicious. It looked like a small meal but it was quite filling. It totaled out to be just below $35, it's worth giving it a try. It's located inside the Quincy Market and seating is wherever is available.

Line moved very quickly. The service was incredible, and the workers were very friendly. They gave us samples of the different chowders, which was kind of them. (New England style was my favorite.) Price of a special combo was very good. The food was high quality and of a good portion. If you are in the area of Quincy Market and looking for a lobster roll, I would definitely recommend.

I ordered their combo special, which comes with a lobster roll and clam chowder. I paid about $40 the food was decent and average. However, I found the staff who has a Russian accent, to be extremely rude and impatient making me feel like I'm bothering him by simply doing his job.

Before traveling to Boston I was looking at where to eat during the visit and I saw videos of people who mentioned it and I told myself I have to go try it and honestly, it is spectacular.

You’re going here for the food the food is great the New England clam chowder is one of the best I’ve ever had. There is no doubt about that. It is a little bit pricier, but you’re paying for it.
