Cherry Tree Garden Centre And Cafe in West Lindsey

Stopped off on the way home and immediately got a warm welcome from the guy in the nursery. Ordered a small breakfast and a bacon/egg roll. Black coffee and a cup of tea completed breakfast. Coffee was good and both cuppas were in big cups. My breakfast was well cooked and tasty, swapped the tomatoes for fried slice, beautiful. The bacon and egg roll was huge with a few rashers and an egg. Both eggs slightly overcooked but still a good meal. Price was at the top end of acceptable at £22 but good ingredients and service cost a lot nowadays

Teníamos muchas ganas de venir aquí, pero pronto aparecieron las grietas. Las mesas estaban demasiado juntas y vimos a varias personas luchando por sentarse mientras alguien estaba detrás de ellas en otras mesas. Los artículos a la venta no podían acercarse demasiado debido a las mesas frente a ellos. Pedí un desayuno de jardineros con 1 hachís extra marrón y 1 huevo extra y un poco de pudín negro, tomates enlatados si es posible. Terminé sin salchichas ya que no tenían ninguna, se acabaron aparentemente, a las 10 am por favor, hazme un favor. 4 erupciones de tocino que obviamente se habían cocinado horas antes, ya que todos tenían una cubierta encantadora de grasa blanca, 4 hachís morenos, 3 huevos fritos. Por el precio de £ 1. 50 para una rebanada delgada de pudín negro que es asqueroso, al menos debe tener 2 piezas. Las bebidas tardaron una eternidad en llegar y la comida no estaba demasiado caliente. Los precios son demasiado altos, ve al café Rachel en Hagworthingham ahora que es un desayuno, y todo está fresco y caliente. Vimos a una pandilla de trabajadores salir debido a que no había salchichas y también se sorprendieron con los precios. Pasa por aquí.

La comida era buena, aunque podría haber sido más caliente. Todo el personal joven era muy servicial y agradable. Sin embargo, la camarera (mujer mayor con el pelo en un moño) fue extremadamente grosera, discutidora e inútil y arruinó toda la experiencia.

Vivo a unas 100 millas de este lugar, sin embargo, paso cuando visito Mablethorpe aproximadamente una vez al año. Visité por primera vez en mayo de 2024 y tuve uno de los mejores desayunos que he tenido. Pasé de nuevo hoy y me hice caca, esperando desesperadamente que el último desayuno no fuera una casualidad. No lo era. Fue exactamente tan excelente como la última vez. Es un lugar encantador, personal muy amable y atento, que acepta perros, y no puedo ofrecer una sola crítica de la comida. De hecho creo que el propietario debería cambiar el nombre a Cherry Tree Breakfast y también algunas plantas y cosas así. Si vas a pasar por aquí, acércate y consigue algo de comida. Y las plantas también si te gustan esas cosas - no. Me gusta el desayuno.

Mientras viajaba vimos esta señalizada así llamada en, genial, tocino, bollos, etc, varios cafés diferentes, tomé capuchino, muy caliente, genial, no se enfrió mientras comía mi sándwich. Un montón de mesas y asientos, personal amable, solo queríamos algo ligero, pero había algunas comidas decentes en el menú

Vamos aquí por lo menos una vez al mes, para tomar café y a veces comida, el desayuno es excelente, allí la comida quiche es excelente, el cocinero es encantador y la señora que sirve es encantadora, los baños están tan limpios, se pone muy ocupado especialmente los fines de semana. Nos encanta este lugar, ignorar las críticas de basura, ya que nunca he tenido mala comida o mal personal. Admisible para perros, por eso vamos, si no quieres comer cerca de perros no vayas

Olvídate de las críticas negativas, este lugar es precioso , lugar para desayunar el , plantas realmente sanas , bien vale la pena el viaje , también admite perros (Bonus) . Personal amable y educado! Cinco Estrellas, Angie & Larry Smith, Lincoln.

Comida y bebida pobre, servicio y actitud del personal muy pobre, una señora servidora necesita aprender algunos modales muy groseros. ¡Nosotros y otra pareja nos sentamos en la mesa de al lado diciendo que necesitan aprender algunos modales! No recomendaría parar aquí

Demasiados perros aquí. Personalmente no me gustan los perros cerca de la comida. Solo tomé café y pastel, que era muy poco apetitoso, pero mi amigo tomó el desayuno, que dijo que era genial. ¿Por qué la torta no puede estar fresca y húmeda? El personal trabaja duro.

We like to support small independent businesses but after being in the car an hour we wanted to use the toilet first before browsing. Told by 2 members of staff 'not allowed unless you buy something'. Very abrupt attitude. I've never left a garden centre without buying something, but I did today. Won't return here. Went elsewhere and bought some lovely plants (after using their toilet!) and had a cup of tea (reading other reviews we probably got the better deal and cleaner toilets elsewhere too). Shame, if I'd been asked to pay to use the toilet (and deduct that off the final purchase) I would have done. We will continue to support other independent businesses elsewhere.

Great breakfast , good prices and nice atmosphere with a great shop and garden centre attached ! Breakfast was fresh and came in good time , been here a few times now and it’s always a win.

Just stopped for a quick cuppa coffee and decided to share a piece of carrot cake. Bad decision! We were quite surprised that a large coffe costs £5.. seems pricey compared to other cafes locally? But the cake...it was stale, dry and probably the worst I've ever tried to eat! The girl on the till apologised and did rather reluctantly refund the price of cake. Thank you. But, such a shame. Unfortunately we won't be here again.

Lovely place for a pit stop on route to Skegness. Perfect tea room for the family, nice garden centre and lovely service. We all enjoyed some delicious cakes and coffee.

I bought a bamboo today, it's in great shape, and was a great price also. I was debating if I could fit it in my car, and the guy working there today kindly offered to deliver it to me, after he finished work (which I didn't expect) The lovely guy was very pleasant, helpful and very knowledgeable. I'd recommend anyone to visit. I shall be stocking up on plants now for my concrete jungle of a garden! It's a great garden centre to look round, and don't forget to pop into the cafe. It's warm, cosy and welcoming. Last time I went with my daughter and baby grandson,. We had a lovely meal, and again reasonably priced.

Excellent food, served hot and on a lovely hot plate, great coffee. What is not to like? Lovely garden centre with large range of plants and gifts.

Was here this morning, lovely friendly service, the coffee was excellent and the Victoria sponge was the best my wife has had this holiday (and she’s had a few lol). The breakfasts looked good, hopefully try one later this week.

Absolutely fantastic service, friendly and the breakfast was so tasty. I will definitely be returning might even try one of the stunning looking cakes they had to offer. Thank you for a wonderful experience and great customer satisfaction.

This little cafe on the way to the coast was our usual stop but not any more! The prices are exorbitant for the quality of the food. The pots of tea are very small and to charge an extra pound for hot water to top up the pot is ridiculous. As it's one of the few spots to take a comfort break you would expect the toilets to work. Not only were 3 of the 4 toilets blocked and smelly there was no toilet paper in any of them despite a previous customer making the staff aware of this. We have decided that we will not be stopping here again anytime soon and advise others to give it a miss too!

Lovely breakfast and drinks, great for a stop off on the way to the coast and the garden centre is nice for a browse!

Ordered a large latte and first sip all I could taste was salt?? Waited for my English breakfast, I could count the mushrooms on one hand, fried eggs where very greasy, sausages where overcooked and not freshly cooked, looked they had been reheated, wouldn't go back again as it seems the cafe has gone downhill.

Well…not sure where to start. This is my first review ever but I felt I needed to let others know what to expect and also, how the business can improve. We came to look around the garden centre and a spot of lunch for the first time. There’s not much to choose from so we ordered I’d say, the best out of a bad bunch. My partner ordered chicken goujons with bacon and cheese topped chips for £9.99 What was received was a small bowl of chips with one diced goujon and a dusting of bacon and cheese. We actually think the goujon was a chicken nugget. This meal I’d pay no more than £4.99 for. My little boy wanted nachos which was on the specials list (£7.99) and I asked that the dips be on the side. Not a difficult request but the member of staff came out and said the chef can’t put the dips on the side and can only put them on the crisps. When they arrived it was a pack of Doritos with cheese and a pot of salsa and a pot of jalepenos on the side. Confused us as this is what we originally requested but the other dips never arrived. Just to add there’s more sauce in a McDonald’s dip then there was salsa. I ordered a ham and cheese panini (£9.99), which looked pretty good. It came with a teaspoon of coleslaw and crisps (these were left over from my sons nachos) The first bite went well and the second bite I had a huge mouthful of tomato which was disgusting. I never asked for tomato and it wasn’t advertised with tomato. That’s like saying here’s a cheese and pickle sandwhich and throwing a random fried egg in it. In this day and age you should be listing all ingredients. That tomato just made the whole thing soggy. Grim. Iced latte was more milk than coffee. I did ask for another espresso in it but it didn’t make a difference. All in all, we left disappointed. I was actually going to buy a few things after our lunch but after that, I didn’t feel like spending anymore after almost spending £40 on a £15 meal. We won’t be returning if the same standard continues. A little advice for the owners:- please look at your menus and update them. Offer better quality of food. Sometimes spending that little bit more and reducing your margins will actually increase profits in the long term with repeat custom. Your business has so much potential but needs a lot of improvement! I hope you make changes and market them well

Very disappointing. We waited a very long time (to be fair, they were quite busy). When it finally arrived, the egg yolk was hard, bacon was limp and sausages were over cooked and very hard. Everything except the hash brown was barely warm. Coffee was good but at £4.99 a cup it ought to be! Maybe a one off - we’ve had lunch here before and it was quite good. The staff are friendly and helpful. We won’t be returning for breakfast again though.

Went with few friends for breakfast, what a disappointment £7.99 for cremated sausage, hard egg, hardly cooked bacon, cold beans, a tiny chunk of tomato, and couple of pieces of rubbery mushrooms, the best bit was the hash brown and piece of toast. Tea was good but extra money. Shame could be so good

We always make this our holiday breakfast stop as it's about halfway between home and Skeggy. The breakfasts are really well presented, always piping hot, and the staff are so friendly and go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you want. Immaculately clean toilets too. Can't fault it, and just wish it was nearer to Alfreton so that we could have breakfast there more often!

We love coming here! The cafe is dog friendly, great value food and always a warm welcome; and the garden is quite small but really well stocked. We are going again today and really looking forward to it

I always like to try somewhere new (to me),and yesterday I popped on for coffee. £4.50 for a large Americano!!!! It was an OK cup of coffee not great. Went to the loo needed a pass code which was onmy receipt. I walked all the way back to my table looked & found what I thought was a code, nope. I had to leave my coffee so I could drive home quickly. What a palava

We stopped on our way through to Skegness for a coffee break. This had been a cafe for a long while but closed and recently re-opened as a garden centre with cafe attached. We had hot drinks and cakes and these were fine - it was the service that was a bit lacking. There weren't many customers but we were all waiting for our orders. We're OK ordering at the counter and then the order being delivered to the table but this was just too long to wait. Shame, as I said the cakes were good and the menu had a good choice of meals. I don't know how they'd cope if they were busy. Maybe worth a try to see what your experience is like.
