I didn't choose a time, and had no expectations. People often pre-order, so I left ASAP. Deliveries start at 18:10, officially, but I have accepted delivery as early as 17:50 in the past. Not keeping note, I think this delivery was 18:30 or 1835, that sort of time. Perfectly acceptable. I couldn't say how "authentic" the food is. Suffice to say its always of a high standard, and I always enjoy it.

Food delivered very late, i called at time it was due for delivery and had not yet left the restaurant even. Beyond awful and hugely unhelpful when called to find out why delayed and by how much. Dreadful, never again.

Worst Chinese I’ve had in Chelmsford. Chicken was dry and tough as old leather, noodles and other dishes had no flavour freezer food warmed up awful.

chips were vile half the chicken balls I couldn't even chew/cut were dry an burnt chow mein was nice

Unfortunately the food from this place was terrible. It all ended up in the bin. I couldnt chew the meat, prawns werent right. The duck was ok but didnt have much flavour and i really dont like having it all chopped up into little pieces for you.

The Singapore rice noodles were lovely! But the crispy chilli beef was cold & chewy

I love the Singapore rice noodles from here. Great if you like spicy food. Always freshly cooked. Haven’t really tried the rest of the menu yet.

even though the food was late it was still hot and delicious. cheng brothers never disappoint and me and my family order from here quite alot and we will continue ordering from here.

The satay chicken had absolutely no flavour.

I live 644 meters from this takeaway and the chips arrived stone cold while everything else was piping hot.

Was not the greatest, also there chicken satay is not normal it’s like black bean sauce and has mushrooms , peppers , onions and carrots in it not in the nice peanut sauce my daughter was really looking forward to her chicken satay and I ended up throwing it all away as I tasted it and it was awful, when I rang they said that is chicken satay 🤷‍♀️ will never order again, rice was also not very nice

It's good. Can be a little hit and miss. Sometimes very fresh others very salty. But for the most part it's always been good. Se owners which is a good thing I suppose. Don't have to wait a long time either.

Food was lovely and so was the delivery driver who unfortunately couldn’t find us in the confusion that is my estate. It’s very difficult to find if you haven’t been there before.

First eta 7.40-8pm, actual arrival 9.14pm and cold. Way too late, should have been honest then could have gone elsewhere. Refunded delivery charge only. Not impressed.

we love the food but our delivery hasn't showed up after 2 hours

nearly 1.5hrs late. Rang to ask where it was...... told it's about 10mins away. waited, rang 25mins later to be told it's 5mins away, then the lady hung up on me!! food arrived within 10mins after that. food was very good and hot, so it wasn't on it's way when I first rang!! Food was good, but arrived very late. Not ideal when ordered for 6pm with young kids who need to eat and get to bed at sensible time 😢

Still waiting for the order over 2 hours now . Very very disappointed

My order was confirmed at 17.27. Approx wait time, at that time, was 80 minutes, so the food could have arrived by 18.47. However I asked for it to be delivered at 19.30, thereby giving plenty of notice. After 2 chase up phone calls the delivery eventually arrived at 20.06! Given that we had 2 hungry/grumpy children, this was not a great experience!

ordered food… took 2 hours 7pm it was ordered and 9pm it arrived. Wasn’t even apologetic upon delivery or a courtesy call to make us aware of the delay. Food was mid and freezing

All the food was cold. It was delivered by car and I only live 804 meters from this place so no reason why it shouldn't be hot.

Fist time ordering from here have lived in Chelmsford for nearly 3 years and finally found a good Chinese take away, for arrived late, but the food really made up for it will definitely order again

I didn't expect to have to wait two and half hours for our order to be delivered, I ordered at 7pm and it finally turned up at 9.30pm , our evening was ruined .Food was ok, nothing special.

The food is always fresh and tastes lovely. This is one of the only takeaways that delivered to our area. But even if it wasn’t we’d still order from Chang’s Brother due to the quality

First time ordered and last time. Wasn’t hot. Had to warm up in the microwave. Chips looked like they were re heated. Cold and hard. Chicken tasted like rubber. Curry sauce very runny. Sorry but not for me. Definitely won’t be going back or I would not recommend.
