Stopped in for a brunch and some shopping. Nice relaxed atmosphere and polite and attentive staff. We ordered various brunchy type items which were all excellent but the standout dish was the granola bowl. Unfortunately we don’t live in the area as it would be a ‘go to’ place to eat. Highly recommended and I am a right fussy git.

An absolutely super cooked Brekkie. We will be returning again! The two of us arrived without booking (was not aware this was a thing) and put on a table for 6. We had offered to share with another couple, but the staff did not allow table shares, even though we offered. It felt awkward as pairs were being turned away. 4/5

Service at deli counter excellent Service at butchery counter excellent Big smiles and very friendly. Checkout again excellent Decided to have lunch. Quality and food freshness again excellent Fries outstanding. Only negative comment about our Cheerbrook experience the service in the restaurant was at best average and way below what we received in all other areas of the shop. It’s a beautiful shop in a lovely location but cafe side an energy and enthusiasm boost definitely needed. We will be back and we will be watching

It’s our local farm shop, so I may be a bit biased. If you want to enjoy the cafe, made sure you book in advance; it is very popular and for a good reason, it’s lovely. The produce is of high quality, much better than the Supermarkets, but at a price premium. There is a nice size car park and they do regular events throughout the year. Cheerbrook is in my opinion well worth a visit.

My family and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday brunch at Cheerbrook over Easter. The staff were friendly, polite and eager to help, and the food was made to a very high standard, but didn't cost the Earth! What a delightful setting for a bite to eat - we'll be sure to visit again soon!

Cheerbrooks is a lovely cafe and farm shop/butchers. The cafe serves fantastic quality food. I had the breakfast which I struggled to finish. The sausages are really nice and the bacon is thick. The customer service is great. The cafe is busy so I would recommend booking if possible to avoid disappointment. It isn't large although in nice weather there are additional tables outside. The price is reasonable for the quality of food that you get. There are certainly cheaper places to go but the ingredients uses aren't comparable. We spent around £30 on breakfast and drinks for 2 people.

We ordered afternoon tea for two of our party which was really good value for money, the only criticism is that when we asked about the sandwiches for the vegetarian option , we couldn't choose as they were all pre made. Sausage roll and vegetarian roll were delicious. Our child had sausage and chips from the kids menu which were really good quality sausages, sadly too thick for our child maybe a thinner one for kids, however this was a personal choice. We had rarebit on toast which was lovely. We asked if we could have a portion of the garlic mushrooms without the toast and was just told no. Staff were pleasant and the shop had lots of choice.

Lovely spot, excellent well stocked meat and produce section. This included variouse trinkets which we also purchased. Staff in both the shop and cafe well charming. Most notably the young lady who served us, I wish I'd asked her name. She checked out the beers ect for my husband with a smile on her face, despite being busy. A real asset. Sadly, what has reduced my score was the food quality in the cafe. Having travelled for the meat counter my husband had great expectations of the Steak Pie. What arrived was actually a meat and potato type offering, which may have been acceptable had the main component not been potato. I don't think we'd rush back to eat a meal.

My first visit to the cafe, I took the trouble to look at the menu online beforehand, so the timings were of no surprise to me. We were greeted by a lovely, friendly young lady who also took our order. Food arrived quickly, beautifully presented, fresh and absolutely delicious! It wasn’t the cheapest place, but personally, I don’t mind paying for quality. The only minor issue for me was the tea was very weak, other than that, a lovely place to eat. Farm shop next door was beautifully presented , a small Christmas section which was lovely, fantastic range of meats and other food.

Odd greeting “have you booked?” Immediately on arrival, place had plenty of empty tables. Strangely if you arrived before noon, only breakfast options were available, as lunch is served at noon, saw people leaving as this is not understandable as many want to eat an early lunch, and given you have to wait for it to be cooked you are well passed noon. There should be go to ideas such as soup, salads and sandwiches available earlier than noon to cover, these would be prepared around 11am anyway Staff don’t seem well trained, menu rather bland and dated for the variety of diets these days and coffee was as dull as Costa will not return

For the second time in two weeks we attempted to have drinks/a snack here only to walk away having been made to feel unwelcome (we had been hoping the first time was just a one-off/unfortunate). We popped in just before 12 yesterday before doing a shop at the wonderful farm shop. We have frequented the cafe in and off for about 5 years. As with our previous experience we were met (eventually) with 'have you booked?'. As with many other reviews here, the tables were largely free with just 2/3 reserved signs on. We assured the rather suspicious looking girl at the entrance that we just wanted a quick drink and snack/light lunch. 'We can only give you about half an hour'. 'That's fine we'll order quickly, no problem'. This clearly didn't go down well as we then met with another obstacle, 'We don't start working on lunch orders for another ten minutes'. Seriously? You have empty tables and a couple wanting a quick snack and you still couldn't put an order through quickly for the benefit of both parties? We walked away as by this point were feeling very unwelcome. This is a cafe not a fine-dining restaurant. You will have lots of walk-ins from people shopping next door should you choose to change your processes and/or customer service to accommodate them. Absolutely bonkers. I've been to far more upmarket/busy restaurants who have bent over backwards to fit us in, and if not been very apologetic and encouraged us to come back. This place puts you on the 'naughty step' for not booking, sucks it's cheeks in to see if they can be bothered fitting you in, and then throws a final spanner in the works ('cant start your order yet') as a final test of your stamina. Well Cheerbrook cafe, we've finally got the message, you don't want our custom any more and we won't be coming back. Farm shop? Brilliant. But if they are separate businesses I'd be worried about the cafe negatively impacting on the reputation of the shop.

This is the place for what I think of as a hearty English farm breakfast. There’s no chopped mushrooms and bready sausages here, so if you’re looking for a “caff” you’ll be sorely disappointed. Swap everything you can think of as normal and replace it with free range restaurant quality farm shop produce, thoughtfully cooked (rosemary roasted mushroom) free range poached egg, cooked to your liking, thick bacon like in the hood old days and proper granary toast, beans and a large hash brown! Of course, lighter appetites won’t get disappointed. Definitely need to be an early bird as breakfast stops at 11, and booking is definitely a must if you don’t want to risk getting a seat!!

We were given a voucher by our family & called for breakfast on Tuesday, 18th July We were warmly greeted & shown to a table for two, drinks & food order took a while but the food was well worth waiting for What did disturb us was the amount of people who were turned away, when tables were empty (I do realise they may have tables reserved) but to also see a table for four with only one person seated & a table for six with three people just drinking coffee when we witnessed 11/12 potentially diners turned away & probably will never return ! Maybe a separate area for diners & drinks only clients would work better so as not to disappoint repeat business

Went yesterday afternoon for coffe and cake (which is always yummy). It was busy which was fine with us as we were prepared to wait. We were however, prepared to wait but not be ignored. We stood inside waiting to be acknowledged but we were simply ignored. The person taking the orders ( I think was the owner) was flitting from table to table, kept going past us but we were obviously invisible. They can't use the excuse of being short handed for everything as that doesn't excuse rudeness A simple "I'll be with you shortly" would have done the trick. We ended up going to the girl at the cash register to place our order. She was delightful. It will be a while before or if we go again.

Enjoyed a lovely mushroom quiche but was disappointed that the table which had been quickly wiped, i.e, smeared, before we sat down was so sticky and grim that our crockery stuck to it. This seems to be a common failing in many eateries who use a spray cleaner and then simply swirl the remains of food around the table. Yuckity yuck!

As someone who enjoys Afternoon Tea, it was a pleasure to experience the delicious Farmers Afternoon Tea at Cheerbrooks. Our waitress, Sarah, was very friendly, and took out drink order efficiently. Our food arrived (I had the vegetarian option) and looked very impressive. Apologising for replacing the quiche for sweet potato fries- this was unnecessary as they were melt in the mouth- honestly the best I’ve ever tasted! The Goats Cheese and roasted vegetables were delicious, and the perfect size portion. My mini halloumi and mushroom slider was gorgeous, and the accompaniment of homemade coleslaw was perfect! The deserts of scone with clotted cream and jam, caramel shortbread and a brownie were delicious and light. Sarah kindly brought me a bag to bring home anything I hadn’t managed to eat, so I’ll be having them tonight. Everything about Cheerbrooks is fabulous, the food, the staff and the beautiful setting, overlooking the fields of animals and duck pond. I immediately phoned another very well known, high quality butchers in Nantwich who told me the same thing was £19.95 - quality would have been at least equal. I telephoned Cheerbrook to check this was not a mistake on the label/charging to be told that it was not and I could of/should of looked at the pries on the labels in the fridge.

Excellent afternoon tea - every thing home made - the sandwiches were all fresh and tasty, scones light and the cakes were delicious. All at a very reasonable price

Cheerbrooks has a new menu and HOORAY the excellent steak sandwich is on permanently. Previously it had been a special only. I am sure the other items offered are equally good but as we live several miles away we do not get to visit as often as we would like. Hence, when the steak sandwich was on I would have it. Now I can have it every time we visit which may ell be more often now because their teak sandwich is the tastiest I have had in this country. Served with delicious salad on a ciabatta roll, it is soooooh tender. Try it medium rare for a nice pink inside. We had a side of triple cooked chips which were tasty but could have been crisper. For the third dip the fat needs to be hotter. Wash it down with a bottle of Merlot for under a tenner and you have a lunch at a very reasonable price.

The shop is amazing have gone to for years, does some really really nice products. not cheap but 100% worth it. Great for a bbq in summer. The cafe is ok, only small so very busy and service is very slow. Menu abit limited but food nice enough.

Burnt muffin hidden under scrambled egg. Sorry that should be cremated muffin and it had been hidden. Why would you do that? Why would you want to serve a charcoal black muffin?

The summer Sunday brunch menu is very limited. No full English/veggie cooked breakfast. No options to add veggie sides (grilled tomato? mushroom? spinach?) to breakfast options - considering it's a farm cafe wouldn't it be a good idea to showcase the farm's produce? Picked scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on toast for myself and banana and waffles for my toddler. Informed later that kitchen and shop ran out of banana so was given option of apples or strawberries on waffle. Asked waitress to check if apples could be stewed as was for my 1 year old. Waffles came out but with raw apple (odd accompaniment to waffles!). Then asked if this could be swapped with strawberries as I had asked the waitress to check beforehand if the apples could be stewed. Shop had meantime run out of strawberries so cafe kindly offered to stew apples. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was ok but amount of salmon and eggs disproportionate to amount of toast ( serves of salmon and egg were generous enough, the toast was very big) therefore meal was a little dry. When waffles arrived with stewed apple, these were nice. Coffee not bad. Noticed others had ordered sausage sandwich or bacon sandwich but no condiments available (sauce or chutneys - another missed opportunity to showcase the shop's stock?) Farmshop well stocked, lots of choice. Will visit farmshop again but cafe needs to broaden choices for Sundays.

We visited the shop and cafe for the first time today. The shop sells a variety of high quality local produce. True, it is not cheap but is certainly on a par with other similar Cheshire establishments. If you want quality produce then a price must be paid.

Arrived at 11:30am Saturday morning and found ourselves a table as no one seemed to want to seat us. We waited 10 minutes and had to grab a waitress to ask for a menu. We noted there were many customers sitting waiting for breakfasts to come out of the kitchen. We had missed breakfast ( fair enough our fault) so ordered two Welsh Rarebit with bacon (bacon an extra!). Our coffees arrived and we drank them - still no food. We noticed breakfasts were still coming out after 12:10 so those customers had been waiting since before we arrived even! Eventually just as we were about to ask where the food was it arrived. Two servings of the most disgusting Welsh Rarebit ever seen. Like cold yellow soup on one piece of toast with a single piece of bacon. NOT value for money and awful. The Welsh Rarebit was runny yellow soup like consistency with bits of grated cheese that hadn’t been cooked into the mixture - also over flavoured with mustard. Not a gentle background hint of mustard as I would expect. We paid for our coffees and left without eating the meals. Someone needs to get this place sorted and quickly or this venue will be closing. I’m usually a very positive reviewer but I found nothing to say good about this place. How sad

Came here last month although this was not our first visit. The produce on display is eye catching with a spaceous layout. The butchers counter in particular is just amazing, you are spoilt for choice especially if you are entertaining or barbequing! The staff are as their name suggests cheerful and helpful. The tea room/cafe is delightful with so many lovely treats or a nice stop for a coffee or cup of tea. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Food has got expensive, on the website states paninis £7.75, when the actual price in the cafe is over £10. We had 2 paninis and a pot of tea, the bill came to over £27. We use the cafe on a regular basis, but will be giving it a miss from now.

The most appalling 'meal' and service that I have ever been subjected to. We ordered steak and ale pie and this was brought out to us and placed on our table and described as a pie. However, there was absolutely no pastry, just a bit of gravy in a dish. When I called the waiter back he said 'to be honest, we've ran out of pastry' - are these people for real? To add insult to injury, the manager actually tried to charge us for the pies we never received!!!! Shambolic and not for the first time, but definitely for the last. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY!!!!

This place has a vast amount of things for children to play on. However don’t expect to get food quick- they have two cage areas but one is never open and the other has a constant huge queue because the staff take forever! Even if you want drinks you have to queue with the food and last time we queued for 25 minutes! Ridiculous when you have children to supervise and feee!
