Very nice food we found most enjoyable

This used to be our favourite Chinese takeaway and we all looked forward to eating from here.... But sadly with the latest menu it has put up prices to a ridiculous extent and I think the most excitement now in Worcester. I know all takeaways have put up prices and I fully understand the need to but this place has gone too far, such a shame. If the food was still as tasty and plentiful as it used to be it might be almost justifiable but the portion size has definately reduced and the quality has also become just average rather than special like it used to be. Such a disappointment especially when the staff are really friendly but we now go to the Orient Express, cheaper (less greedy with their price rises), generous portions and friendly service!

Really disappointing takeaway, my birthday treat as well for family. Food was cold, not v tasty, ( chips were def warmed up from day before!!! As crunchy as the fortune cookie ), will not go here again … shame as used to be a better takeaway

Unfortunately the food was terrible. Chips, spring rolls and prawn toast all burnt. Duck overlly sweet and chicken in the curry was inedible. Used to be such a great Chinese and i was a regular customer but started going down hill so I stopped going, decided to give it a try again but safe to say, never again.

Edit: Thanks for your quick response & offer of a free replacement. I'm happy to report that I'm your no 1 fan again as it tasted wonderful !. Original: Ordered Chicken Fried rice (which was fine) & a mixed veg curry with fried rice which was inedible. Hardly any curry sauce so it was very dry & full of raw onions. If it wasn't such a faff I would have driven back & returned it. Been there about 20 times and normally It would be a 5 but for whatever reason it was very poor tonight .

Always great food whether they’re busy or not!

Really disappointed with my takeaway, I ordered sweet and sour chicken and there was no chicken just veg! Called up to flag this and no offer of refund etc was made. Kitchen staff need to pay more attention! Shame as our takeaway from here is usually very good.

Always good, always on time, the lady is very thorough so you never miss a dish and have to come back. I think prawn crackers should be free over £30 think it’s tight to charge for them especially given how cheap they are.

The food is consistently delicious, portions are generous, and the service is quick and friendly.

Food pretty poor, service poor, takeaway - so atmosphere not relevant. Wont be going back there.

Chicken balls not good, so much fat and chicken was so tasteless. Curry was lumpy and so thick and again tasteless. We actually had to add salt to the meals and that’s something we have never done from a Chinese. Chow mein was nice and chips ok

Was a nice take away and my family enjoyed the meals they ordered. To be truthful i prefer a indian as there is more spices involved. But i had the beef in black bean sauce and enjoyed it. So a 8/10 And 10/10 meal ready on time when we went to collect. Staff 10/10 very polite. If in area again i might try them again. 😁

Having visited regularly and never complained today we had cold pre ordered food. Pre ordered for 6pm, picked up at 6pm to come home 10 minutes later to have almost cold food. After several attempts ringing to complain we were told 45 minutes after pickup to complain was too late. Fact we struggled to get through did not matter. Female on phone on defensive from offset. They just lost a regular customer, never again.

I've had take away from here about a year ago and it was nice but on this last occasion none of the food tasted right. Really disappointing.

I’m writing this because I’m surprised at some of the negative reviews. We’ve had takeout food several times from Chee Wei. It’s always been excellent and the portions generous so that we could keep about half for another meal next day. The only thing we’re not too keen on is the free prawn crackers which we refuse. Sweet and sour balls are something we also avoid as they are too sweet from virtually all Chinese restaurants. The Singapore vermicelli is a particular favourite as is the aromatic duck and pancakes.

The food was way to greasy ...pure stodge.. 😣 just horrible.. binned it in the end certainly wouldn't go again yuk

Just had a prok chow mein and it was the best one I had so far. Great job !

The food is to a very high standard

I must confess we are not regular partakers of Chinese cuisine, but we had a relative staying who preferred that to Indian food. We have in the past used this food outlet and had always been more than satisfied, with the quality and generous portions. However, on this occasion the standard of food fell well short of acceptable. The lettuce on the Yuk Sung had to be dried before eating and the House Special Fried Rice was a beige/grey mush, the chicken was tough and tasteless. The staff were friendly and polite but, we were very disappointed with our food and will not be using Chee Wei again.

Had the sweet and sour vegetarian (mock) chicken from these guys, probably the best s&s I've had in Worcester. First time using Chee Wei, will definitely use again.

Inedible if im being honest. Chicken wings have turned me over, chips tasted like they had been cooked in old oil and the spring rolls had a peculiar taste as well. Overall, i am extremely disappointed and i can safely say i will not be returning to Chee wei

We’ve used this restaurant for years, the food is always of a high quality and really tasty. The team are really friendly and it’s always ready quickly! We’ve tried a few other restaurants, but Chee Wei is definitely the best Chinese takeaway in Worcester!

My local Chinese, and if they were not as good as they are I would go further. Good tasty food, with good sized portions and cheerful staff. Alwase a quick service even when they are busy

Had great food from here for a group of 6 nothing was too much trouble, spring rolls had good flavour and beef in black bean sauce was a particular highlight! Will definitely be ordering again soon!

Had a takeaway from here with my friends last night and we loved it, Chips tasted great and weren't to greasy and the chicken balls were massive.

This take away has really gone down hill. It can't be the same owners as we have usually had good food but yesterday was really poor. We ordered two meals one of which they got wrong, the fried rice was just a mush and to top it all the food was almost cold. Dreadful.

Had sweet and sour chicken balls which were okay, special beef chow mein Thai style was tasteless and not very nice, overall best described as “barely okay”. Much better Chinese’s around Worcester I’m afraid.

This is outstanding food, queue is a nightmare on Saturdays but that’s not a concern to me... 5 star

This take away in the past was lovely, However over the last few months has gone downhill rapid, orders can be incorrect then when challenged will deny any knowledge, the beef is tough, rice a mass of stodg, all together not a good experience

Situated next to the best chippy in Worcester we thought we’d give it a go... won’t be ordering from here again. Sweet and sour chicken balls are shards of 10 day old battered slabs. Special chow mien...? Special bit of 2 day old egg slapped on some post apocalyptic veg so pale you’d wonder if it was real. Also on an order over £20 complimentary prawn crackers I’d expect as standard... pretty awful. If your new and considering it. Don’t bother

The owner is extremely helpful for gluten free options. He went through the entire menu highlighting what was/wasn't suitable for coeliacs, and suggested alternative options for certain dishes too. Good food, with quick service

Great Chinese decent food sometimes they make mistakes with the order or the food isn't quite up to scratch but they sort it out for you next time you order

Myself and my husband have recently moved to the area and thought we would try out Chee Wei as it is fairly local, we are both vegetarian so Chinese isn't usually a cuisine we usually go for due to the lack of vegetarian options normally however, we were pleasantly surprised when we found many options including mock chicken and mock duck! We have only tried the vegetarian chicken with veg and it is delicious! Can't wait to try more. Always friendly and good prices. Will keep returning.

Me and my husband came to Chee Wei tonight for a Chinese, there was a man sat outside who appeared to be either intoxicated or homeless.. We supported this man for a few hours until help arrived, but more importantly he was supported by the amazing staff at Chee Wei, they gave him free food, hot water, and kept him company. I was astonished how they treated the man with such care and compassion. It really was so nice to see.

Ordered a portion of sweet & sour chicken balls as part of an order. When we opened the bag they were very dark and twice the normal size, cut into them and all were raw inside - chicken still pink ! Disgusting , took them back and the lady behind counter argued they were cooked , had to break them all apart to show her they were raw before she offered a refund. Will never go here again .

Very clean, friendly, can see your food being prepared. Food tastes great. Does get busy sometimes but to save some time I would recommended phoning your order through.

Living in the area, we have visited this restaurant many times. The service, value and quality of the food are all excellent and you can watch all the chefs at work through the viewing window whilst you wait! A good quality restaurant.

Ordered a meal over the phone. Polite man took the order. Received a set meal for two. Nice and hot as it was well.packaged. Good quality meat..not scragg ends like some takeaway. Definitely the best

If it’s Chinese we fancy, this is the place to go! The food is lovely, and is great value for money. If like me, you like to keep some food back for your lunch the following day, you won’t go wrong here, there is plenty. Im so happy that there is finally a Chinese take away that creates good food consistently

Tucked away in Abbotsbury Court which is in between the big tesco supermarket in st peters and the baptists church.The food is really very good and we have never had a bad meal.They do all the usual suspects you will find at at any chinese takeaway and also very good selection of chefs specials and excellent set meals.Very clean and great friendly staff.Very handy little parade of shops next to it which includes a brilliant chippy and general store and off licence.This is a takeaway not a restaurant it takes card payment but as far as i know is collection only.

We've been going to Chee Wei for a while now after trying to find a tasty Chinese takeaway in Worcester. By far the best we've had and we are now a regular customer. We always receive a friendly welcome and never have to wait long for our order. Not had any problems with the food and we recommend it to everyone in need of great Chinese food.
