Tried after seeing a couple of recommendations from others and was not disappointed. Portion sizes are really good, the ordering and delivery process is on point and accurate. My only slight criticism would be that the coating on their chicken wings is a little too thick but easily resolved. Flavour profile of all items ordered was one of the best I've had from a Chinese takeaway in Worcester. In particular, the Beef with Peppers and Black Bean Sauce was exceptional - portion size was huge, almost bursting out of the container, lots of (high quality) meat (more than any other I've ordered from), nice proportion of peppers included and taste level was perfect. They don't skimp on garlic in any associated products which was great as usually the garlic level is low in a lot of dishes from other places. Would recommend and will definitely be ordering again from Chung Ye.

We have been using Chung Ye for nearly twelve months and have recommended them to so many people, however, lately things are slipping. As a family we have a Chinese every Saturday night, over the past month delivery times have been up to an hour later than requested, last week we were given the wrong order although this was quickly rectified, and this week a main dish was missing and we need to wait over 40min for the replacement, seriously things are slipping… perhaps it’s time to change and tell others too? Not only that I was questioned about the missing dish? Almost as if I had made a mistake, I know when something is missing and I’m not in the business of trying to get something for nothing? Especially when I need to wait for nearly an hour? All I want is my requested order to be correct? In the ‘old days’ of calling an order in by telephone a mistake can happen but there’s mo excuse when using an app?? The order should have been checked before leaving? I am so disappointed, whilst a refund was offered this doesn’t work when you are hungry? I should be offered a refund and the missing dish for the inconvenience…. I think now is the time to try somewhere else?

The food I ordered was very good. Singapore Chow Mein was very good. Loads of mixed meat, spicy and moorish. Take note Noodle Hut! (Shocking). Young Chow Fried rice again was meaty with a slight yellow hue to the rice. Curry sauce could be slightly spicier however it was enjoyable. Not one of the dishes was salty, which can be the case from other outlets! Atmosphere, again it’s a take out!

Have ordered from here for over 3 years but last Friday was a mistake as prawn toast was cremated yet to pick up was soggy and soft.my partner did say not to eat it as it looked to have been reheated.i wish i had kistened as the following day I was so ill.avoud at all costs.

Have ordered from Herr for over 3 year and has been lovely but sadly to say we ordered from here last Friday evening and it wasn't good. The prawn that looked cremated but yet soggy and soft to pick up.my partner did say it looks to be reheated and not to eat it.i wish I had listened to her advice as I will ill all weekend for it and the whole of our meals weren't as very good either.do sadly we will avoid and never recommend this take away again

Been using Cheng Ye for delivery of food for a year now and they have been excellent, their delivery drivers are great. We live in a difficult place to find but their app allows you to drop a pin on your actual house, they’ve never had to phone us and are always on time with hot fresh food. Order with confidence.

Ordered delivery, followed the map which covered Tibberton, order was accepted, money taken and then a call saying they don’t deliver here and money returned in 3 days. No chance to see if any good. Terrible when the delivery map is incorrect and order accepted and money taken. Be caref

Six adults finished their week on the local canals and collected a takeaway to enjoy on our last night on a narrow boat. We all agree that it was great food with generous potions. We're from Sunderland, Northampton and Kent and all thought the value was superb.

This was a very disappointing experience. I ordered a take away from the Cheng Ye and it was 15 minutes late. Not that bad - but it was surprisingly expensive - £30 for 4 dishes. The sweet and sour chicken balls were pretty much inedible - the chicken was tough and the dough was so thick it was barely cooked. The other dishes were bland at best. I have had this takeaway in the past and it has been ok but you dropped the ball on this one. Expensive, a £2 delivery charge, late and badly cooked. Shame on you - avoid.

Spring rolls dripping in grease ..no meat on the ribs ..chowmein cold and tasteless

Little long on the delivery time (1 hour but this was early compared to the quoted time) but the quality of food was incredible! Everything in the order was correct and we made a few changes!

We arrived on Saturday evening and were greeted by friendly efficient staff , there were 15 of us and we received great service throughout the evening, we had children with us and they were also treated as very important customers and given ice cream for free , the food was amazing and plenty of it ,everyone was pleased with their meals ,we’d brought a birthday cake with us , and a very polite young man brought it out to us and we all did the usual happy birthday sing song, we had a great time and will definitely return ,

Ordered beef curry with egg fried rice, the rice was a thick gloopy stodgy mess, curry very very bland. Did they forget to actually put any curry spices in? Roast duck so chow again was very very bland, sauce was like water, chips weren't the usual chinese chips but your good old English chips except these were very very dry, hard and cold. Chicken balls very fatty. This was the first and last time I will order, just thought I'd go somewhere different. I really wish I hadn't.

Have ordered takeaway many times from Cheng Ye, and would describe the food as pretty average in comparison to other local Chinese takeaway restaurants. We ordered last night and the estimated wait was 80 minutes, but the food arrived much before then which was much appreciated. All food arrived as ordered and the main course dishes were fine but unfortunately the egg fried rice and chips were almost inedible and certainly not enjoyable. The chips were barely Luke warm and didn’t taste freshly cooked and the rice was stodgy ( and yellow). The rice has been poor on previous orders but I’ve overlooked it, but as half of the meal order was of very poor quality, I feel the restaurant really need to up their game.

We bought a takeaway this evening which was probably the worst meal I have ever had. The fried rice was over cooked and came out of the metal carton in a solid congealed lump. The roast duck and sweet and sour pork main dishes were both tasteless. Very disappointing indeed.

Being honest it is not the nicest Chinese in Worcester, but the food is still very nice, excellent portion sizes and value for money. The staff are also very polite.

This place has the best selection of vegetarian food (and they have vegan fried rice dishes too) of any Chinese takeaway in Worcester. I particularly love the lettuce dumplings, but also the mock duck is also unnervingly convincing. We've ordered there a few times, and had a minor issue once that the owner took responsibility for and sorted immediately. Excellent attitude, good food and friendly staff. Thank you!

Most of the (1/4) duck was fat with "duck" that was mushy with a lot of fat. NOT value for money, have had a lot better. Three bones mixed in with the mushy meat.

Not a great meal, felt a little like a microwave meal. I realise and understand that may seem unkind but the chips and prawn crackers were dry and tasteless whilst the chow mein was greasy, bland with too many textures going on. The prawns had no taste and the beef/pork was chewy and the noodles felt like pot noodle. I have to be honest I wanted this to be good, but was really disappointed 😞. The portions were very good.. But sometimes less is more. I wouldn't recommend 🤷‍♂️. Sometimes you need to go back to the basics. Had a wonderful meal last night consisting of "Hawaiian Chicken" and "Pickled Ginger and Pineapple with Chicken". Arrived quickly. Arrived nice and hot. Tasted fantastic. Great all round experience.

We had to ring the restaurant who said they had no record of the transaction. What a complete joke. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. Totally spoilt our planed party.

Used Chong Ye for the first time - was impressed overall - fairly easy ordering system,prices reasonable and delivered before advised time.Food was hot and tasted very nice - we had a range of dishes .Was slightly dubious using a delivery service for the first time but impressed with the level of service and would definitely use again.

This is my first time ordering here. The food from here is okay, it's nothing special. The duck and pancakes starter was exceptional, however the rest of the food was either very dry, or bland and tasteless. The soft noodles were okay. No seasoning whatsoever in the egf fried rice, and I was really shocked that the rice was bright yellow? The order arrived late, however the staff were really polite as well as the delivery driver, hence the 3 stars as good customer service is important. I think this place has great potential, but need to work on their food.

We have been using the Cheng Ye for takeaway Chinese meal deliveries since earlier this year. The drivers who deliver the food are always friendly. The food is of great quality and possibly the best Chinese food I've had Highly recommended

First time ordering, preordered for 6pm and it arrived bang on time. Really impressed with the mock sweet and sour chicken, Singapore vermicelli was perfect too. Please do a mock chicken curry in future :D will definitely use again, one of the few Chinese restaurants which offer a discount on large orders 👍

Absolutely disgusting. Never will I order from here ever again. Spring rolls were not edible, prawn balls were extremely oily and fat, beef chow main tasted like burnt and smelled like it was blow torched. Waited for this disgusting order almost an hour and a half only to put it in the bin. Thanks a lot for the waste cheng ye

Dreadful food. Chicken blown up watery rubbish inedible. Really was the worse chinese I've ever had. Waste of money. The only positive was the chips and curry sauce were passable. Will never return.

Another wonderful takeaway for my birthday treat. As always food was excellent quality hot and flavoursome at such a super price. Can never fault it. Those who have given a bad review must have been extremely unlucky or very nasty. We’ve been using this takeaway for 3 years and always recommend it.

Ordered multiple times here and after today I will not be ordering again. I spent almost £40 and only the noodles, soup and beancurd was edible. The crispy duck came with pancakes that were falling apart dry so no one could make pancakes. The beef was the cheapest possible cut and had so much meat tenderiser put on it that it was a weird jelly-like texture. This is a common theme with all of their chicken as well , except the lemon chicken. The rendang sauce had absolutely no flavour...how?! The ribs were awfully sweet as well as being old and dry. They had obviously sat around for a while and been smothered with a tasteless BBQ sauce and loads of red food colouring... Yum yum. The whole meal was a disaster and actually made my partner cry. I phoned them up to complain and they offered me a free dish when I order next time. There will be no next time. Sorry you have lost my business forever. In this time where there is so little to enjoy it is disgraceful that a restaurant would even send out food like that. I doubt they would eat it themselves, so why serve it to me??! Do not waste your hard earned money in this establishment.

The restaurant atmosphere was amazing, staff so friendly and love to chat. My parents were over from Canada a few years ago and they loved it! We now mostly eat take-out and are never disappointed. Ordered today at 1.25pm first time as a new customer he told us it would be delivered 45 minutes to an hour. The delivery driver arrived at 1.50pm All the food was luke warm shocking will not order again extremely very very disappointed. Tried to let them know no response disgusted

Orderd online for delivery for myself & my 3 children at 19.15 put to be delivered at 20.30 - 20.45 arrives they call to say their busy and will be delivered at 22.00 - 22.00 comes nothing - I call them 6 times finally I get through to them - All I get is yes it's on route.. gave up went to bed..(12.45) am it arrives rude delivery guy banging on my door 3 times and it was cold.. no refund nothing. Yes I get it was new years but they take piss awful place.. will never be ordering from there again.

Deleted tripadvisor review. I wrote a review about this restaurant on 29/02/2020 and it now seems to have been removed somehow so writing it again. We had a terrible delivery from here on 29/02/2020. The food was really not nice and the duck was positively horrible. We ordered half a duck (shredded) but when it arrived, it was covered in fat and bones and not shredded. Please see Photos. I phoned the restaurant and they stated that the duck should have bone and fat on it (not really what my family have experienced before and we have had many duck dishes)! The customer service was terrible, and then to find my review had been deleted is disgraceful. I won’t use this place ever again.

Thought I'd give it a try but everyone has a different sense of taste same with humour I suppose, very lovely people you can see that they want to help the customer, food was very blanned,and the sweet and sour was really salty. My husband and I have eaten regularly from here for the last 4 yrs. We love the food and have never really had any complaints. When we have they have been rectified very well on our next order. We have tried various different items and have never been disappointed, although we tend to stick to our favourites. Delivery costs as little as £1.00 for within a 3mile radius of the restaurant, and we usually get our piping hot food in a very short time. There is so much food it feeds the two of us for three days! Works out very reasonable. Please don’t listen to the bad reviews...if they didn’t let the restaurant know they couldn’t fix it. And we have had some great fixings, they are very generous, and a wonderful family business. If you haven’t tried them you don’t know what you are missing!!For us they are one of our top restaurants. PLEASE TRY.

Absolutely the best chinese we have had in years. The chow mein and their curry is by far the best around. I stopped going here years ago for various reasons but im happy i gave it another go. Would not go anywhere else now.

We had a very pleasant experience whilst having lunch on a Sunday. What we ordered was very delicious. The lady who attended out table was very kind and courteous. Definitely recommend it if you are in a pinch for some nice Asian cuisine.

Ordered a delivery from Cheng Ye. Delivery arrived within 45 minutes. We ordered half a duck at £15 amongst other dishes. The duck was really not pleasant with lots of fat and bones in it. The duck was also not shredded either. Upon complaining to the restaurant I was informed in a patronising manner that duck is supposed to have fat and bones. Please see photos of the dish and make up your own mind. I would really not recommend this place at all.

Totally disappointed in the delivery time & the food , ordered over the phone as we had visitors , had never used this takeaway before but was told it was good, waited 1.5 hrs for delivery and it was all cold , curries were congealed in the containers ( had obviously been sat somewhere waiting for collection by driver) and so was the rest , telephoned them to be told he only had one driver .... not good enough , a waste of money , even after putting it in the microwave most of it went in the bin , will definitely not use them again .

Ordered a meal last month, after walking in from the street and it was great. I ordered a takeaway tonight, to be delivered and it was dreadful. We left pretty much all of it. The curry was thick and gloopy and looked like it had been warmed up in the microwave - the sauce held the shape of the plastic container. It was also tasteless. The rice was clumpy and sticky. The crispy duck was full of bits of fat and skin, but not crispy skin. The only thing that tasted fresh was the cucumber and spring onion. The pancakes were split and broken and the hoisin sauce tasted like it had been watered down with vinegar. Actually the worst Chinese meal I have had. What a waste of £17. So disappointed. Would never order from there again it was that bad. It also took ages and several attempts to get through to them

Came here to try the all you can eat buffet on a Sunday evening, £14.50 a head.Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Food was excellent. We chose quite a wide selection of both starters and mains. Spicy Kung Po King Prawns were our favourite, but it was all nice and freshly cooked. Will return again. Recommended

We have finally found a Chinese Restaurant we can use regularly. Service was friendly and prompt, prices were reasonable and the taste was fantastic. Best we have had in a very, very long time. Please don't change anything.

I usually have take away from here and it’s always perfect although I have noticed the portions have got smaller and there’s more space than usual in the containers. I’ve eaten in the restaurant 5 times hoping each time would be a better experience than the last but sadly it wasn’t. The restaurant was cold each time so I had to eat wearing my coat which wasn’t enjoyable. Each time the restaurant was completely empty so we had to wait ages to be served and our food arrived before our drinks as they were too busy answering the phone rather than dealing with the people in front of them. Nice food for takeaway I just won’t dine in. Not happy they changed the service so you can no longer pay with a card for delivery which has also made me go elsewhere
