I love this place, Few days ago we went to Leicester and we tried first time Chatwala. Their service is really good,Food was delicious. Very neat and clean. I will definitely recommend to everyone.

We Waited for 30 minute for order chole bhature and when we ask them then they ask for wait 10 minutes, and chola was very Taste less and we are very disappointed with the service.I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I visited chaatwala with my friend today upon her recommendation. We were quickly seated, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. The menu is all vegetarian and has a variety of Indian street food. I ordered dahi puri, bombay sandwich, mix platter, and cholesterol bhatture. I must say everything I tried was absolutely delicious. We finished our lunch with the karak chai and it was very well made as well. There was only a small issue, which is parking, but I would highly recommend this place!!!

I got a hair in my food and the one of the staff was rude to us I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The below was before, now it feels different, tastes different and not in a good way and the portions are a bit of a joke... A big downgrade from our go to, to a "maybe" place to eat. We have enjoyed this restaurant a few times. We enjoy spicy food and sometimes hot isn't spicy enough for us however they are more than willing to make things right. The food is very good and everything tastes fresh, down to the sides and chutneys. Service was quick, we placed our order fairly quickly and it wasn't too long before the food came out. This place can become busy very quickly but you can almost always get a table. You can also book in advance. This is certainly one of the better restaurants in Leicester and well worth a visit or few.

Very nice place, the food is great. I tried the crispy aubergine and chilli paneer, both of which were really nice. However, I found the manchow soup to be quite thin, whereas it would be nicer if it was slightly thick. Despite this, definitely recommend

We have just visited Chatwala. We were served by simranjit and her colleagues. The service was excellent, food was good, we ordered Masala Dosas, Chilli Paneer, chips and tea. The environment and ambience was pleasant and this establishment was clean too. I visited with my son and mum who has mobility difficulties. I was able to find parking very close by with able facilities for her to use. All in all very happy. Thank you ☺️

The customer service is not the same as the one and the staff gives the same answer to the staff and as I said, they do not make the same food and the other one is the same and what the customer says is rude behavior. Karavati also has to think about the time ahead!

I oder Masala chips with cheese and I also have oder Masala dosa. I do not like Masala chips with cheese because it was too oily and dose not have much of test. Went there and I order chat and chilli paneer and hakka noodles. The food was cold and also the staff when we asked her food is cold she just says sorry and ignored it. Will not recommend anyone Waste of money

We ordered pani puri and papri chat. Pari chaat was really nice. But Pani puri was not at all tasty. They just put boiled potato. Not even salts and masala in the aaloo.

I first visited chatwala when it first opened and the food was brilliant. They have maintained their excellent food with competitive prices despite going through a major revamp and expansion. The service was good and there was literally nothing I could fault. We were mainly starters to share - chilli paneer, crispy aubergine and masala chips - all of which were delicious. Will definitely visit and recommend others as well

Today was father's day n we decided to visit chatwala with family as it was highly recommended by my friend for chats ..The food was absolutely delicious with good quantity n the prices was also geniune for everything..The service was very good n fast all staf was very polite and helpful.. we will definitely visit there again..

Chat Wala is an exceptional dining spot with incredibly polite staff and mouth-watering food. We ordered bhature, pani puri, and chat papdi, all of which were delicious and served in generous portions. The chef deserves 100% praise for the superb flavors. Highly recommended!

I ordered takeout and I spent 40 minutes waiting for my food which was just one item, the chilli paneer and would have only taken 15 minutes to prepare. After forty minutes I went to the counter asking about my food and it had been sitting on a table in the corner for over twenty minutes. I wasn’t given an apology or explanation as to why I hadn’t been told my food was ready sooner. Other people who ordered takeout had their items even brought out to them while I wasn’t even told mine was ready. I did not appreciate standing awkwardly in the middle of a busy restaurant, waiting unnecessarily. Food tastes okay but was obviously cold by the time I got it. Service for takeout is poor and inconsistent, be prepared to stand by the counter regularly asking if your food is ready.

Went with a friend. Food was substandard and everyone was pretending to be busy even when there was only 2 tables and 3 waiting staff. Food is over rated and was greasy and found hair in my food. The mocktails was watery and flavourless and lacked any punch. Maybe they were good at one point but there are far better options out there. Once and done.

This was a big mistake that kept spiralling further! Went there today after making a call to ensure they serve Jain food. They said yes and off we went. On arriving we asked what we can order without OG and were given a range of options which we ordered some from. The chat supreme + pani puri + chilli paneer + crispy aubergine. We got the chat supreme and it was decent. Next the pani puri had guess what - onion slices! When I pointed this out they apologised and by the time the chili paneer arrived it had full blown onions in there! Like it wasn't even disguised! Again another apology. Now the aubergine... you guys I am not making this up! It had human hair!!! Ugh! So much for food hygiene and cleanliness! Down the drain. Our waitress was very kind and apologetic and offered to 'stand next to the kitchen staff and have then safely replace our options' - but why?! Why should that be the case? Anyway I was fully put off our food and the place. First time and safe to say the last time! Never again. NOTE: These guys DO NOT TAKE YOUR FOOD OR RELIGIOUS PREFERENCES seriously! If you are someone who is in either category - do not eat here! Big Mistake! Never again. Waitress was kind but that alone isn't enough to save this place.

Simply the best service ever! Not only to us but to everyone who were present there. The workers looked happy and were courteous. What I saw won my heart - A young family with a baby came when the place was nearly full and only a 2 seater available where they sat. The workers offered a 4-6 seater spacious place soon as it became available even though it was a busy evening and they could have given it to the next larger group walking in. The food was excellent as well. The place was very clean and the toilet was one of the cleanest toilet I have ever seen on any restaurant. Kudos to the team

The best customer service by Two very hard working individuals. Sachin and Kajal. Sachin and Kajal have always welcomed me and served me promptly. They suggest food items to try and are incredibly friendly and helpful. The customer service they deliver is outstanding and excellent. I feel so happy every time I come here to eat. The waiter on today’s duty didn't even wash hands! That is the worst thing i ever saw in my eyes. He was sweeping the floors especially right next to us. We were eating peacefully and he was sweeping next to us. Imagine how unhygienic that is! And after that he handed us the food without even washing hands!

We visited today at Chatwala, very beautiful interior design, awesome food and top class customer service with amazing service speed. I couldn’t believe the prices there, I had to read those twice, unbelievably reasonable prices. In this time and day with everything thing gone so up, they are actually doing a service to society. Vada pao for just £1.50…even mcdonald’s burger is more than this. In total 100/100. Will definitely visit again and highly recommended.

The food was nice had a lovely mix of different dishes, all flavoursome, thoroughly enjoyed. Accommodated the dishes accordingly to your food restrictions. The service is a bit slow as busy period, all the staff very nice and professional.

Amazing customer service... I collected 3 items from there yesterday but on the way home one of the items fell out of the bag. A quick phone call was all that was needed and today they replaced the dish. Thanks chatwala

It was like Indian taste as special Manchurian chaat which has not tasted before in life . It was awesome, great service, enough portions of food also cheaper like every people can afford . We will definitely come again very soon with friends . Thank you for serving us .

If I was being picky, I would say that they could have improved on the service with the hot drinks. 3 of us order masala tea which came out however I had to wait for my Indian coffee for about 7-8mins, and it’s not the best in comparison with Chaiwala, sorry just being brutally honest. On the plus side, food was nice and the waiters were nice and friendly!

Went here for lunch with the hubby. We ordered pav bhaji, chilli paneer, masala chips and I think a dish called dahi puri. The pav bhaji was nice but I have had better. Masala chips were very different like they weren't saucy but had powder on it which were nice but not what I was expecting. Wasn't to keen on the dahi puri as I felt it was overloaded with yogurt so overpowered the whole dish. Our favourite was the chilli paneer 👌 definately one of the best we have had. If I was to come again it would definitely be for that. I would be open to trying out different dishes next time. As I may come across something else as good as the paneer.

Went in around 3pm and menu were handed straight way. Ordered 3 items. Crispy bhajia came immediately which was really nice then after some wait came the chilli paneer and then long wait for third item. We had to get attention of staff to ask where the 3rd dish is. That came after long wait - hakka noodles which were cold and didn't seem freshly prepared plus chilli paneer was also cold and not freshly cooked. Felt like the staff was really laid back and the restaurant wasn't even busy at the time. So had poor experience today. Chaatwala Your answer is totally wrong. We never took the leftovers. Check your camera noodles were just left there. And we never refused to pay the bill. We paid full amount and got receipt to prove. This is all rubbish. That we took left overs. Never did......all lies

Went for the first time. We didn't reserve a table, but still managed to get seated. It was early but the place was quite busy already. We ordered several dishes. Service was quick. Food was delicious. We ordered masala chips, Hakka noodles, chilli paneer and a plain dosa. The sambar that came with the dosa was probably the only item that wasn't as tasty. Prices are reasonable and portions were healthy. Definitely recommend a visit.

Had a great experience with CHATWALA . The decor was classy and stylish. They have delicious and great variety of spicy and normal dishes. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.I had oothappam, manchurian, and lot of variety Chat's. And we were so impressed with the quality of the food and the short amount of time it took to receive it.We loved that you get a lot of food as well for the price. Overall, this was an incredible dining experience.

Staff have terrible coordination, food is always late. Staff don’t have an answer and look at each other cluelessly. Every single time we have either had a takeaway or sat in the restaurant there has been an issue with the service. The friendly faces and quality of food just don’t outweigh the poor service. Will not be dining/ordering from here again after the experiences we’ve had. Management need to make some serious changes to the staff as nobody seems to know what’s going on.

They claim to be chatwalas, but what kind of chat would you serve without green chutney?A few months ago I ordered their special chaat - there was no green chutney in it. I thought maybe that was a day when they had run out of green chutney. Two days ago I ordered their papri chat. Again, no green chutney. This time there was hardly any sev in it as well. All their chats taste the same - sickly sweet with some readymade tamarind chutney and without any green chutney which is absolutely a must in any chat. There is no balance of flavours like a chat is expected to have, not eating there again.

They made the portions smaller but they upped the price up not ordering again

Really nice! I had the Manchurian chaat, the portion was very large and I loved it! The paneer chaat is also very nice. A small restaurant with a cute deco which also catered for dietary requirements

I ordered the dosa and it was just not up to standards of how dosa should be, which was little disappointing. Just very dry dried out dosa and the white chutney, the best bit in my eyes, was not nice. However the sambar was flavoursome which kind of saved it. Also my review is no reflection on their chaats which I’ve not tried and maybe that’s more their speciality.

We ordered: Hakka noodles Pani puri Sev puri Hot & sour soup Nimbu pani Out of which only Pani puri was decent, soup tasted like chilli oil, hakka noodles were no where near Hakka nooodles and Nimbu pani was just even more disappointing.

We ordered two dishes, but when we got them home, they were totally different to what we'd ordered. When I rang and complained, they tried to say they were what we ordered, which we definitely hadn't! One, we'd never had before! They didn't even sound anything like we'd ordered when you actusay the words! £13.50 down the drain! They need to move their phone to a quiet area Instead of in the middle of packed restaurant, with people talking loudly and children shouting and screaming!

if I could give u a 0 review that would be kindness. as soon as we entered I asked the staff if the table was available and she pointed to table which had previously leftovers so asked if could be cleared. we went and sat and were waiting for it to be cleared. After we sat down the panjabi gentleman behind the till said it was someone else's table to which I said the lady at the entrance asked us to sit there. 2 tables were cleared after us and served food while we still were waiting for just our table to be cleaned. Still we asked for it to be cleaned it took they lady at least 15 mins in to take some bits forget about us then come back. After sitting for 30 with no service and the tabled still not cleared we left. as soon as we did, person sat on our sit and was served. I have never been so humiliated. I am utterly disgusted with the service and would never step a foot. thank u very much for ruining a perfectly good evening. if u want to spend quality time with family this is not the place to be. horrible horrible service. disgusting staff and no respect for customers.

Just been to eat 15 of us what a unpleasant time we had ordered food missed four dishes came to ask if we had the dishes no concept of what was ordered ordered drinks did not come went to pay the bill still got charged had to ask them to remove of the menu very unhappy will not be going again .... just interested in the uber drivers

Went for family lunch and the food was as delicious as always! Just yummy Unfortunately I left my fan there and although we returned within minutes it was gone. Following a few days I received a phone call from the Owner to say he had reviewed the cctv footage and retrieved it. I could collect any time What can I say…….. I wish everyone was as honest, kind and as thoughtful as him. Not only an amazing restaurant but impressive customer service Thank you Chatwala and we will be returning soon 🙏🏼
