Bobby restaurant is the best place to eat in Leicester Belgrave road the food is amazing and delicious especially service provide by three Girl Name Ashu, Himani and Dipica they are very friendly and helpful, every time we come to visit Leicester city this is batter place to eat and we always go there for eat , every kind of food is delicious here

Portion very small and expensive

Ritika, Komal and Sagar provided excellent service. Very friendly people and accommodated to all our menu needs. Delicious food and relaxed feeling in the restaurant. Clean and nice atmosphere!

The food here is just delicious! Taste wise it is amazing and made with quality ingredients. Service and ambience are brilliant too. This is my ‘go to’ restaurant every time I am in Leicester.

We shared the Punjabi Thali and Mattar Kachari. It was sensational - all freshly cooked and everything was great - from the friendliness of the waitress (Dipika... I hope the spelling is right) to the lovely atmosphere and cleanliness.

Great Southern Indian. Wonderful service. Try the Dahi Puri and Masala Dosa. All vegitarian. Have been coming here for many years and will continue to do so. You must go!

We have had a fabulous lunch with the family today. We tried the masala dosa, chaat dishes and several sides, such as the stuffed chillies. Would highly recommend for all.

My parents got a takeaway and we found steel wool in the kachori. That’s awful for a company to have so little care in the food they make. When I called to complain, they couldn’t even deal with it then, asked me to wait for a call tomorrow but couldn’t even take my details down correctly!

Quality and taste is well maintained but quantity is too low for the price. Service could be improved. I was waiting for almost 25 mins for someone to come and take the order. Overall disappointment.

Worst service experience We ordered very simple Chinese noodles and chilli paneer. We waited for 45mins and still they didn't served us. We enquired 2 times but staff kept us waiting. We literally walked out after that bcz my little one was starving.

I have seen a deterioration of service whilst the menu prices have gone up significantly post Valentine's Day. We had to wait for 40 min for our order and we were not told at the time of order delivery of the steep delay. Had we known we would have ordered something else. Even drinks did not come on time. Table waiting service was poor with no one coming up to the table even when we asked for additional chapattis to be ordered. The owner of the restaurant was not empathic and did nothing about it. Customer Service was very poor Coupled with steep price increase there is hardly any value in going to the restuarant any more. I must also mention that even the taste of the food has come down.

Wonderful lunch with my mum. Staff were very helpful with guiding us on what to order and the food was really tasty. Will definately be returning!

Made to wait over an hour and walked out having not eaten a thing. 10% service is added on but sincerely no service. Not even a smile. Plates are slid to you across the table as if to say here, do my job for me and hand these out. How this place has fallen is sad

WORST RESTAURANT TRIP EVER!!!! If I could rate it 0 I would. The food was all right but everything else was a joke. We were seated at a disgusting, dirty table with food all over the place and then when we asked them to clean it they ignored us then the second time when they listened they cleaned it with a dry kitchen tissue. While they were cleaning it she muttered under her breath, "this is ridiculous". It's FRIGHTNING I decided to go their I do not recommend it.

I have never experienced an afternoon tea like this before! There was a perfect combination of light, flavoursome savoury snacks as well as sweet treats. My favourite was the paneer pakora and Mumbai sandwiches! As always, the staff were very welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had enough food to keep us going. I would highly recommend this afternoon tea to anyone visiting Leicester.

Greeted and served by Dipika who was helful, knowledgable and generous; no we really couldn't eat any more even if it is free and as delicious as everything else.

Placed order on Deliveroo on a Saturday, the restaurant accepted the order made me wait 1HOUR then they cancelled it on the app. When I called the restaurant they were so rude and said we are not accepted online orders and hung up the phone!!!

This is a great spot to eat with friends. The service is great and the selection of food is good. We particularly liked the dhokla, bhindi fries and firecracker cauliflower. There are plenty of gluten free dishes marked on the menu.

We entered the restaurant, the instruction to wait at the reception was hidden by people surrounding them so we moved ahead and the lady at reception rudely shouted at us to wait. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER IN UK!!! I visited this place on an afternoon and ordered Milkshake (Falooda), Rasmalai and Veg. Biriyani. Biriyani was alright but not authentic. Too much of whole spices. Milkshake texture was flat, thanks to chef for adding ice-cream in it. Steal deal of the show was Rasmalai... first of all desert should be served after the main course (I spouse that is basic understanding) but it was served before they served Biriyani. Rasmalai was falling apart in the bowl with water like flow of the extra sweet milk, on top of this they had coriander leaf floating in it as a garnish. Manager mentioned that it was a freshly made. In addition to this service was terrible, it took 15mins to take order and brought desert before Biriyani. They did not brought items on a tray but all items were hand held with thumb dipped in the food, we felt bit disgust. Request to Staff: Please maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the sitting area. Please improve your service and quality of your food. We noticed that service was so poor that for the whole time we sat there, adjacent tables were left dirty with leftover food still on table for whole time.

We live out of area (3 hour return journey) - when we visit Leicester we purchase a wide selection of products from various shops to last us a few months. We visited Leicester on 15/12/2023. Once we got home we realised that there was a very short date on the Farari Chevdo - expiry 25/12/2023. We wanted this product to last beyond Christmas, as we already had other snacks for the Christmas period. We have been disappointed on a handful of occasions with past purchases (never complained or left negative review). Consequently, we reduced the amount/quantity we purchase to prevent waste. When we live so far away it's best to purchase small amounts of food (of each variety), unless we have had the opportunity to taste the product. We are very disappointed that we were provided a product with a very short expiry date over the Christmas period. The staff at Bobby's have been very friendly and helpful over the past 20 years, but I wish that some of the products behind the counter were accessible to customers (like the Popat Mithai & Farsan shop) so customers can select the longest dated products. Maneesha Scalia left a review a month ago about purchasing expired Ghughra, so I would recommend to anyone reading this comment to look closely at the expiry date before purchase, as you might have expired or close to expiry products.

The food was okay, service was awful.

Came here a couple weeks ago for the first time. It was before noon and quietish. The lady serving us was very friendly and fast. I’d recommend the chilli paneer and special chaat - they were both cooked well and very flavourful. I will be visiting again.

Bobbys is a staple in Leicester especially during Diwali. It can get really packed during afternoon service at weekends but generally quite good. Would recommend the ambli mogo, crispy bhaijya and Bobbys special chaat.

Very good place for vegetarian food and beverages

Went to Bobbys to get authentic Indian dishes suitable for a vegan. Sampled two main dishes and two sides with beautiful light Puri breads… genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had in years…great choice of hot and fresh dishes with real home cooked character. Service was excellent and overall very good value too. Highly recommended

Under staffed!! It took a good 50 min to get stuff on our table. We were told 15min which was okay infact even when it took 30 min it was understandable.It's not the staff's fault at all, they were honestly running around catering to every table as humanly possible. We got in to have a quick bite, but a whole hour went by just waiting for food that was just meh(seriously there was no salt for the curry and the tea was watery). It was not even worth the wait. Don't let the ambience and set up fool you.

Ever heard of crispy bhajia with salt on top?? Apparently this is normal…the chef tried the bhajia found not enough salt so thought they would put salt on top as if french fries! Also can I mention it’s uncooked but none of the staff care!! Khichi was uncooked. Standard has gone down!

I went there from Nottingham and I feel embarrassed because they didn't come to take orders for 40minute even then I spoke for order they took order but for serving time they didn't give us 5item in same time like i waste my money.

Be aware of HIDDEN 10% SERVICE CHARGE. Their till system will not show service charge but will still added to your total. BE CAREFUL IF YOU BUYING LARGE AMOUT OF ITEM. just ask them to take it off hidden service charge. Also other thing I notice their take away price are higher than Menu price. May be they are Charing for takeaway boxes. Which is understandable so if you ordering 10 item you probably paying £5 extra for boxes (50p each). However Food is great there is no doubt about that but service need to improve possibly more welcoming and behaving polite will do the trick. if they can try not to be rude while question asked would be more appreciated. Hence overall ⭐️⭐️.

Been going here since I was a teenager and watched it grow and expand from that tiny sweet mart with a few tables upstairs to this big thriving restaurant. One thing is true if Bobby’s- it has never compromised its taste, value, variety, atmosphere or friendly welcome to all. I returned after being away 20 years and was thrilled to be in my favourite eatery again. I feel spoiled. Now they have their own recipe book with stunning illustrations. I know what I will be buying my family as gifts this festive season. Thanks guys

apart from being one of the oldest Indian restaurants in Leicester, it is also one of the best. It was great experience to celebrate our son’s birthday specially at best place as son wanted. Kalpesh and his team did a fantastic job. They made it possible as per our requirements and fulfilled our wish. Every one in family especially from Canada, were happy and praising Kalpesh Bhaji s and team's service. Not only Kalpesh accommodated out requirements but also gave us very good options and suggestions. We were so happy. We would like to visit and also order party food from Kalpesh again.
