Chateau is the best cafe in the area and I regularly visit. It is child friendly, as it has a small playroom and also books to read. The food is all freshly made and everything I’ve eaten has been delicious, including eggs (always perfectly poached), wraps and salads. Gluten free options are available. Also a range of hot and cold drinks, including smoothies. Service is always friendly too and it has a relaxed vibe.

Wish I had come across this little cafe sooner! Great menu for breakfast and lunch. Food nicely presented too and friendly service. Only recommendation would be to offer more interesting drinks such as chocolate bar milkshakes like oreo or terry’s chocolate orange then it would be perfect for me! Will definitely return and also looking forward to visiting the Hoddesdon branch!

I visited here with my husband and 18month old son. We aren’t from the area but didn’t fancy a “travel lodge” breakfast and the reviews for this place were pretty good. The food was nice and fresh at a reasonable price too. My son had porridge with fresh fruit which looked great and he really enjoyed it. Nice touch with some organic honey being available too. The menu is limited and I don’t think they had an actual kitchen. I have attached a picture for you to see. Coffees were good and there was a good selection of drinks available. There was a nice little playroom which had loads of toys so great if you’re looking for a place to go with young children. Service was good. Only downside I would say was it seemed a little run down and not sparkling clean however this wasn’t terrible just maybe could do with a little refresh?

Met a friend for a coffee and a catch up and ended up having lunch, We had well presented simple food which tasted lovely. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere in a bright airy seating area, We were by the window on a sunny day so it did get a bit warm but that's nobody's fault and it was very pleasant all round.

Visited Chateau Cafe again on Saturday for brunch with my boyfriend. We had been a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed the atmosphere, decor, menu and quality of food. This time I ordered the pancakes with bananas, pecans and bacon ( see photo ) They were incredible. My boyfriend had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. All freshly made and well presented. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

I have visited the cafe many times with friends, family and as a couple with my husband. The service is always so friendly and helpful and the food is great. Great coffee too. My teenagers particularly enjoy the pancakes with chocolate spread and berries for a weekend breakfast treat and the sourdough is delicious. Highly recommended!

We tried the cafe out on a bank holiday Monday for an early lunch. Great service, staff and food. Able to cater for gluten free requirements too.

We had a really nice lunch, Eggs benedict and Vegan salad . Gluten free options available which I thoroughly appreciated. Good value for money and very pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful all day breakfast served! Such friendly service. Feels like home. I had mozzarella panini and it was so tasty and filling. Family had breakfast and it was very delicious and serving was big! Very good food and excellent atmosphere. Absolutely go there every time we come to London!

Met a friend here for a catch-up Great and good coffee too. Decide to have. Bit to eat and I enjoyed the avocado and poached egg on toast. Good for children and a room at the back has play equipment.

Surprised it was not busier - thoroughly enjoyed our avocado on sourdough with bacon and eggs with lovely side salad - would go back again! The cake was nice but a touch too sweet and loved the teapots - very unusual!

Visited here this morning for brunch. First time for us but only live round the corner and been meaning to come in for ages! Lucky as no one else was there when we arrived and got served quickly but soon filled up ... lovely 2 ladies serving and ordered scrambled eggs and salmon and bacon and avocado and poached eggs both on toast with salad... both were simply delicious! Really fresh and filling! Lovely atmosphere will be back and highly recommend:)

Been for breakfast several times and the food is excellent. The staff are friendly and tentative and there is a great atmosphere for groups and couples.

5 of us arrived unannounced for lunch on Sunday, having seen the great reviews on here. We have to agree with all the praise heaped by others. The food was great and the staff went to great lengths to make us feel welcome. The menu was extensive and varied, service was prompt and everything tasted superb. When we were all full up to bits, the bill was a very pleasant surprise too. We will be back.

Fantastic service, smiley ladies made this place so welcoming. A lovely atmosphere for an early morning quietly buzzing with what appeared to be locals. I'm picky about my cake ... carrot cake was delicious and porridge was just right. Not to mention the tea was proper tea leaves!! Just lovely ... wish I was local I'd go here all the time!

Havent been back to the chateau cafe for a while; the food is still excellent and the great atmosphere is still there. So glad to go back there. Well worth it!

This is a really pretty little café with a nice atmosphere. There are tables and also a nice little seating area for reading should you wish as there are boxes of books around the café. Lovely coffee and very attentive service. The staff couldn't do enough to help. There is a small children's room at the back which kept our 3 children occupied. Not a bad price at all for food and I would definitely recommend the Swiss and the American Ciabatta sandwiches.

Always extremely welcoming staff, with good food well prepared. The children's room is much appreciated by my toddler once she has eaten her scrambled egg. Our favourite time to come is Sunday morning breakfast - pancakes with bacon, banana and syrup and a delicious tea is always a great way to start a lazy day. Thank you for such great service.

I first visited Chateau Café for late afternoon coffee on a Saturday. I had a black Americano and my husband ordered a mint tea. The coffee is really good and the mint tea was fresh leaf rather than tea bags. The service was friendly and efficient. We liked it so much that we went back for Sunday brunch the next day and we both enjoyed the food very much. The menu features a great selection, we both chose sourdough toast with scrambled egg, I had mine with smoked salmon and my husband had bacon. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the salmon, there were no fatty or dark bits.

Food was lovely and fresh and staff were polite and helpfull, cafe was very clean and th playroom was well stocked and tidy and a good place to keep small children entertained

The food is really yummy and they have a lot of choice - the scrambled eggs with salmon are the best I've had!! The cafe itself is so cute and the service has always been perfect. Great value for money. We love it!

I use the Chateau Cafe quite regularly and have to say this place has a great menu and a wonderful atmosphere; I was there Tuesday and there was a crochet club there.The cafe was full of laughter and everyone was enjoying their food and having a good time. Staff are terrific too.

Walking through the door, you are guaranteed a warm welcome from Johnny and Raluca (owners), and their staff. After 1 visit they will remember your name. On returning, it is like walking back into the Cheers bar. Offerings include warm sandwiches from around the globe, the best scrambled eggs ever, and true barista coffees. If you are feeling naughty, there's a selection of homemade cakes to choose from.

I have been coming to this cafe for a year now and I can't believe the excellent service that I keep getting. Not only to me but to everyone who walks through the door. The Chateau caters for everyone and nothing is a problem. They have an excellent toy room for children so there are a lot of families that come here and feel relaxed and are able to enjoy their experience at the Chateau. The staff, Johnny, Ralu, Rosesanna and Magda are exceptional, not only that their food is fantastic. I would have no problem in recommending this cafe.

Met Friend for coffee we chatted so long hadn't seen each other for ages decided to have early lunch friend had scrambled egg it was served on a big piece of crusty bread with half a plate of mixed salad beautiful there was a slight delay and the owner came over and explained why I had a jacket potatoes and cheese which was big loads of cheese and we both had m pancakes and maple syrup for afters cappuccino was lovely and tea was brewed in a glass filtered teapot pity was you had to hold it would have been more practical if it sat on cup. Very clean staff very helpfully you can mix your choice of what you want to eat very continental with most of choices.

I'm from Germany and i visit this Café. And I like it. The Stuff are very lovely people and the place is wonderful, the food is delicious. The tea served in a special tea pot. Here is Eggs Royal.

Nice quiet place for coffee. It has everything . Lots of a European and American options . Portions ok .

Back at the Château cafe. Staff are terrific and make my wife and myself feel at home. Great atmosphere. menu has been tweaked and it is even better! I love this place. If you are in the area, please pop in and try it. I cannot recommend the cafe too highly.

I go to the Chateau Cafe and I am always welcomed in a lovely manner. The staff are always friendly and nothing is a problem when you are requiring something different from the menu. They make you so welcome that you want to go back again and again.

This is a very chic and quaint little coffee shop found on the high street. Great value for money. Excellent service and lovely atmosphere. Classy yet welcoming. I would definitely advice taking a stop here if you pass by.

I was in the area with a friend and it was still very early in the day and so I had researched the night before of where we could stop for breakfast. Based on the great reviews, we visited this cafe and were pleasantly surprised right from the beginning. The lady and gentleman that were both working were extremely friendly and attentive. The decor in this place is so to my taste; very clean, vintage and pretty and you can tell the design has had a lot of thought put into it.

The kind of place you don't expect in the location: super classy, elegant, with food and coffee to match. A real treat on a weekend to come here for some non-typical breakfast fare.

I came here because I wanted a change of scenery and somewhere to do some work. I had scrambled eggs on sourdough bread with chorizo. It came with spinach leaves and tomatoes with the best balsamic dressing I have ever tasted. The serving was so big I couldn't finish it. They have free wifi and it's beautifully decorated. Everything plus the background music made me feel like I was at a spa. I will definitely be back.

It's a café to just sit and have a coffee and cake when you have half an hour to spend. Staff are great and the coffee and cakes are just as good.

My wife and I went to this cafe for the first time today; what a pleasant surprise. An excellent menu and not your usual fried breakfast fare. The food was tasteful and cooked really well, good choice on the menu. The herbals teas were brilliant. Will try the coffees next time! Great home made cakes. It has a childrens play area and the staff are really friendly and professional. We will be coming back here again and again and again. Cannot speak too highly of this establishment

I was going to be in Cheshunt for a few hours while I waited for my car to be MOT'd and thought I would try to find somewhere that had wi-fi so I could do some work. I just happened to walk past this place on the High Street. I was welcomed in very warmly, given the wifi details and a surprisingly healthy and appetising menu, which I wasn't expecting at all!

visited here for the first time today. Thought it would make a change from the usual greasy spoon . So glad we did. What a lovely little place. Decor was nice and chilled and the staff were very friendly. The menu was varied and full of great healthy options. I had the almond butter on sourbread maple syrup and my better half had porridge with fresh fruit and honey. It was to lovely. To top it off I had a try Caribbean and coconut try latte, another first and I'm hooked.

I went here with a friend with a baby. The food selection is great, they offer breakfast and flatbreads with fillings such as Brie, chutneys, chorizo, feta etc. The tea lattes are lovely too. Very friendly staff.

I've been coming to Chateau Cafe since it was opened and the best coffee, organic herbal teas and great fresh sandviches have been made here by professional hands.I also keen on chateau breakfast it is so delicious and cheap as well if u dunno this lovely place u miss lot of thinks I personally can't stop coming everyday. Really friendly cafe. Fresh and organic food and friendly staff. Looking forward to going again and make it our regular. The mashed avocado with feta on sourdough was great and so was the scrabbled egg with smoked salmon. The cool tea pot and the coffees were great also.

I went for lunch with my boyfriend and it was really nice. They have organic food, home made cakes, italian coffee (musetti) and loose leaf tea. We've spend around £14 for 2 mashed avocado with feta cheese and radishes on sourdough toast plus a lovely baby spinach salad and cherry tomatoes and 2 earl grey teas. The meal was really full filling and the staff is friendly. Nice work!
